IPG Paintballing Centre

Positive experience: I recently came across a sales team who were stood outside my local Tesco in Stoke On Trent selling tickets for the IPG Paintballing. We were told that we would pay a heavily discounted price of £60 for 10 children's tickets and 10 adult tickets. My partner and I thought it would be a great idea to purchase the tickets for a birthday present for my two sons as their birthdays were approaching. We asked the sales representative if we would incur any other costs after purchasing the tickets and we were told that the only other cost would be £9.99 each time you need paintball refills, we also asked if children and adults could play together and we were told that they could, so we went ahead with the purchase. Closer to the date we called the Manchester branch to book the party and we were told that for each person attending there would be a £24.95 booking fee and that the adults and children's sections were split off from each other and so they could not play together. We attempted to claim a refund and we were told that there is a cooling off period of just 7 days in which you can claim a refund so by this time we had past the time frame. I read each leaflet and paper thoroughly that I was given at the time of booking, and I did not see this information written anywhere. Eventually we spoke to a manager and she informed us that the only thing she could offer was 100 free paintballs each and for the adults and children's games to start at the same time so that nobody had to wait around for each other. We attended the paintballing session begrudgingly, however, the staff on site were really friendly and the children had a good time. It was a real shame that we could not afford to invite any of their friends at £24.95 each and that we were mislead and mis sold. I would not attend again as I have recently found much cheaper options online and I feel the company are greedy and give false information just to get a sale. I have given 3 stars purely because the staff at the centre were lovely and made sure the children had a great day.

Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE! I am writing this review TWO YEARS after purchasing these tickets which were falsely advertised and sold to me. We bought them for a staff day out and have since tried to organise a game on 3 separate occasions. The first, we were told our venue was being refurbished, the second we were told it was closed and the final time after confirming with someone over the phone was that we would have to pay an extra £180 to open the venue. Ok , fine. So i arranged to close our shop, posted out on social media that we would be closed and organised taxis to get 15 staff members to the venue. I ring up to confirm two days prior to be told again by a different member of IPG that the venue was closed!!!!! Their solution to send us to a different location 2 hours away. No apology, no refund, nothing. I wish I had read up about the company and peoples experiences before booking as the terrible reviews outweigh the good! Scenarios very similar to my own. If I can save another poor person from forking out for this, i hope i do! When an offer seems to good to be true, it generally is! Oh yeah and a refund is completely out of the question as you have to reply via a written letter within 7 days of purchase, even though the expiry of the tickets is 2 years!!!! WHAT A CON. Rant over, IPG PIANTBALLING you re an utter joke!
