Fantastic experience: Had a great time

Negative experience: Wow wanted to join, after reading the tons of negative reviews, forget it, everyone can't be lying sounds awful

Negative experience: This was a fantastic leisure centre 20/15 or so years ago it was manage by a excellent English man and he staffed it with quality people, however 1 star is to much for this establishment for a long time now. Reception never answer the phones, the manager is useless and staff are rude. The place is filthy. I actually can't believe this place is still open. I'm curious why any company would run a thriving leisure centre into the ground. Pretty bad legacy to put on your CV if you have managed or were a Receptionist here in the last 15yrs. Total disgrace and very sad.

Negative experience: This Edmonton Leisure Centre has gone way down hill compared to years ago. To be honest the whole place is a shambles, it's a mess, the facilities and activities are severely lacking. There is hardly anything on the timetable. I normally use this place for the softplay for my child but will no longer. The area needs updating, its not kept an eye on at all. The area is unmanned so anyone can just walk in where young children are, very dangerous. The cafe is no longer there so you are unable to purchase snacks or drinks (this had been shut down for at least 3-4 years now)The toilets are filthy, not kept clean as is the play area itself. There is no clean up between sessions. Mess is left on tables from previous sessions. Staff does not come in to do safety checks, As for the centre itself, the customer service is abismal! Staff with either a don't care or very laid back attitude. I have been in and the reception has been unmanned more than once so again anyone could just walk in off the street. The phone is left ringing for ages. Again the area is unkept. Whoever has taken over this centre has let it go way down hill. Enfield Council needs to come in and actually have all look at how the place is being run. To be honest it needs to shut down asap!

Negative experience: This place has gone hill over the last year. Some of the lifeguards are rude and tell lies. The changing rooms are dirty and you can hardly use the pools. The sauna and steam room never seem to work. This place needs a total refit, and some of the staff need to go on customer care courses . It's so sad the centre is not up to scratch.

Negative experience: Always a problem using this centre. Not used it for a while but today the turnstiles were not working so could not use membership card. The customer service assistant said she would check us all in. Did the class and went to double check we had been booked in. The reception was unstaffed. Rang the bell three times but no one responded. Very poor customer service as usual.

Negative experience: They are big liars, i bought membership i swam for 2 days and for 1 whole week their was no swimming due to apparent boiler issues. I heavily do not recommend, they do not listen to your requests. Once again, i do not recommend.

Negative experience: I only go here because location is convenient, other than that This is the worst leisure centre ever, they are constantly cancelling the swimming session without notice, so kids end up getting disappointed Facilities are always dirty, staff shortages The whole leisure centre needs an upgrade .

Negative experience: Worst place ever to make your kids or family happy. I make a monthly membership for my kids, and they cancel for 3 times in a month Always no staff/instructors to make the lesson with beginners. I won't recommend at all. Staff very rude. Manager worst.... I will never recommend this place!

Negative experience: They left very brief message on my phone saying the 1.30 swim was canceled without explanation, no option of rebooking or compensation, no email and booking vanished from login on fusion site. No one answers the phone. Terrible place.

Negative experience: The very worst service in UK. Since January 2022 we are membership of my son swimming class. He is still in stage one no improvement. Please don't take any kids swimming classes here. Always new teachers no continuity here. So we cancelled my son class. Mostly they cancel the classes but no refund. Totally waste our valuable money and time. Please be aware of it. Very very worst experience. Think twice before you join there.

Negative experience: Terrible service, they purposely hang up on me after answering and then continued to ignore my calls when I called back, I agree with all the negative reviews, worst place DO NOT PAY TO BECOME A MEMBER HERE, SAUNA/STEAM NEVER WORK. It’s a shambles, i am surprised that this place is still running, it needs shutting down!

Negative experience: I registered my membership in the month of May 2023 and canceled when both steam and sauna stopped functioning. I went to Southbury Leisure center for the first time where a life Guard Mr ZACH allegedly lured me to steal £45=cash and screen shot my Barclays Bank Card detail and spent another £33= from my account. Hence my card was declared invalidated. The manager Mr Tim protected Mr Zach under the excuse e is a new staff undergoing training justifying the crime committed by Mr Zach.l reported the issue on Southbury Leisure centre review and awaiting their moneyresponse.l dont think lam owing the Leisure centre since l didn't enjoy the services l paid for and got my money and bank card stolen .

Negative experience: Worst gym in the country, not worth the money. Sauna’s always out of service, dirty facilities. Rude staff, hard to cancel membership straight away. Honestly, can’t find anything positive to say about this gym.

Negative experience: It’s a robbery do not open a membership! They charged my mum for 3 months without having the facilities working!

Negative experience: For some reason the centre can never pick up the phone--and when you try to register, the system cannot handle your request. The people I've spoken to face to face at the centre have always been lovely--but I have to think that incomptent 'managers' higher up have set up their hours, the centre's contact system, its webpage, and so on, in what they deem a cost-efficient way, but is actually a manner that frustrates anyone from joining or engaging with the leisure facilities at all.

Negative experience: Pool, steam and sauna rooms closed at various times. No refund for cancelled booking. No phone call to tell you your booking is cancelled. Shambles and getting worse.

Negative experience: I called today to ask about the swimming lessons because I saw a add on Facebook... Their is so much screaming the background I can't hear her a she saying she can't hear me because of her noise so what was the point ... Then she said swimming lessons is all cancelled

Negative experience: Do not waste your time signing up to Aspire leisure centre (Edmonton Green) They are exploiting customers. They make the rules as they go along. They continuesly switch the sauna & steam off & say it's broken!!! It's a lie. False advertisement on the website. Only 1 life guard so the pool gets shut when the kids use the small pool. Exploitation at the members expense!!!! Many are cancelling their memberships as it's a robbery & is completely unacceptable.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member of the swim school since November. I’ve been doing adult swimming lessons. For majority of the lessons I’ve attended so far there has always been a new instructor. This means that for majority of the lesson I have to be going over things I’ve already done. There has also been a lot of cancelled sessions with this gym. After visiting the Southbury site I was told that I could get a refund for cancelled sessions. After asking about it from the Edmonton Green site they told me that they will be refunding in February. Please bear in mind that I had lessons cancelled since November. I doubt that they would have told me about it if I didn’t mention it. It really goes to show how transparent they are. Another major thing is that there is hardly anyone there to answer the phone. If you want to speak to someone your better off showing up at the centre because no one answers the phone. It’s always going to voicemail which is really annoying. They need to improve on a lot of things.

Fantastic experience: I don't usually use this centre but I was impressed by the friendly staff and brilliant showers. Shame the old 50m pool was removed.

Negative experience: A very horrible place with rude staff an they charged me twice a month for my son for his swimming lessons and Im wating for a manager to called me because when I asked to see him/her, they said he/her is not in but I know they not going to called me back like happens all the the time .I had so much stress and I really recommend to every one, DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME HERE!!! However, The swimming teachers are very kind and encourage children a lot.

Fantastic experience: Neat and well organised. The swimming pool is warm and good staff

Negative experience: Crowded smelly soft play. Location is fine but their were adults and older ladies just eating inside the kids play area which blocked off some kids to play. Had to tell em to move as this wasn't facilitated to eat inside like some picnic but for children to play inside. Some were not even wearing socks which made the place smell like feet. There wasn't staff to watch. Tables were hogged. And there were really big kids playing very rough around the small kids which the soft play was meant to be restricted for. Cafe was closed and hasnt been open for a while. My kid didn't feel safe with the big kids playing so rough and aggressive! Can be improved

Negative experience: Make sure you bring your anti bac. The whole centre need a complete overview haul. All the equipment is old, tatty. Offen the toilets are disgusting. A couple of the staff are friendly but most of them ignore you. Don't waste your money !!!

Negative experience: Skeleton staff, no visable security, dirty, poor lighting, broken lockers, minimal gym equipment....etc. This place needs a complete overhaul.

Don't waste your time to go!

Fantastic experience: Great soft play area. It's also free for babies under 12 months. Would definitely recommend for families to go here for an afternoon out.

Positive experience: Hard to find with the scaffolding outside, Went for a water aerobic class. Really enjoyed the class but the changing facilities were really poor and unclean. During the class someone stepped on an earing stud in the pool - there were no signs up about jewelry. The staff were very friendly and polite as were the users of the pool and because of this I would go again for another class but give myself another good wash at home,

Fantastic experience: Not keen on the changing rooms being unisex think it's should be women/men changing rooms but considerably clean for swimming changing area, the pool was perfect temperature wish we could of stayed a bit longer we only got 1 hr, had a lovely time though

Positive experience: I came to the soft play with my kids today. I called up a couple of times before arriving to check if there was space. Claire answered the phone and was extremely helpful and friendly and kept calling me “darling “. The kids enjoyed themselves very much. Downside is that cafe was closed so we couldn’t buy drinks and there were no staff around to supervise- it was okay but a couple of kids were rowdy and their parents weren’t really too bothered... also some parts of the soft play are really dark and could do with better lighting. by the way I read lots of horrible reviews about the state of this place but last time I called to book they told me the soft play was being deep cleaned and I must say it looked pretty decent... also staff were totally not rude, they gave me directions and were polite and sweet. After reading reviews I was expecting a bad experience but was pleasantly surprised...Would consider coming here again.

Negative experience: Went in to enquire about adult swimming lessons which we discovered was fully booked after standing around waiting for 15/20 mins for the receptionist to even acknowledge we were there. Poor customer service, needs training.

Negative experience: Worse soft play ever. No staff to check on the children, only time we saw them was when they came to inform us play had ended. Most toilets closed, those that were opened wad disgusting.

Negative experience: Haven’t been to this leisure centre in years. Considering I only ever visited the soft play as a Kid. And I’m now a big 21 year old , went recently for my little niece and was appalled by the filthy environment. How can the soft play area remain exactly the same as years ago , it was dusty and simply unkempt. Seriously need cleaners to sort it out , could see that cafeteria wasn’t open alongside no staff around to assist or supervise the behaviour of all the kids. This is not only unsafe but it just proves to show how careless and run down this place is.

Negative experience: Soft play - kids over 4 throwing balls at smaller kids in under 4 area. Had to leave more early as parents won't react and i am not coming here to teach other kids good manners. Lovely morning became an annoying and disappointing experience. My little 2 years old boy has red marks on face right now. I don't recommend.

Positive experience: Cheap and quite big and spacious my son loves coming here!!

Fantastic experience: I love this leisure centre because it has many activites such as: swimming pools,soft play.... I would recommend to go there and the prices are affordable.

Negative experience: Be warned!!!!! There is NO HEATING in the pool changing rooms- it would be warmer getting changed outside in the street! Two stars because the pool is lovely and warm but God help you when you enter the blast-freezer of a changing room!!!

Negative experience: For a new building, my exception was high. Poor service, could be kept better. Staff need to do jobs properly, didn't set up badminton area, and was told they never do . But enjoyed my game thanks to good company.

Negative experience: 1 star is honestly too much. The receptionist is extremely rude and ill mannered. I've never had anyone speak to me in the way the receptionist here spoke to me. The staff here clearly have minimal training in communication skills and must lack basic manners in general. Don't think its worth your money! I will be canceling my membership here. Receptionists are not helpful. What's worst, is they literally don't even bother to pick up calls too. Save your money and find another gym !

Negative experience: This is the most disgusting place where my foot has stepped ,the whole building stinks of sewage. Workers at the reception are extremely rude . Locker room by the pool is extremely dirty ,I feel sorry for those poor children who attend swimming lessons, I would definitely not bring my child to swim there. I am convinced if there was any sanitary inspection, this place would be sealed like Chernobyl

Negative experience: We went to the soft play. It was very dirty, losts of rubbish, foodwaste everywhere. Very poor confition. Didn't stay and not going back again. Very disappointing experience. Especially in the covid 19 not safe.

Fantastic experience: The gym is really well equipped, and the pool is for free use Mondays and Friday, great prices too I paid a pound for the month and £34 after for Gym and the Pool. The lady Bisi at the desk is lovely too and just made the whole experience a joy, a wonderful woman

Positive experience: I used to take my kids to this leisure centre, but for starters I think they have outgrown it, but the main reason I stopped going there is the last time I was there, there was a lot of spitting in the pool which grossed me out, the swimming pool looks tired like it's not being properly maintained! It looked shabby! You want to go somewhere and enjoy being there instead of feeling like you want to sit in bleach just to clean yourself out. The water was cold, I remember seeing a lot of people shaking in there! Maybe I should stop comparing it to southbury road, now I enjoyed that immensely! Lastly with everything going on with coronavirus, people have yo be extra careful if the place is not up to good standard

Positive experience: Lovely gym very close to home, friendly and kind staff

Negative experience: Terrible! This leisure centre has only got worse and it is probably the last place I will visit! There is only one receptionist that is very slow paced and holds up the que. To add whenever I go swimming, the toilets are dirty, only 2 of the showers work. The soft play section is also very dirty, theres no food available or any workers to supervise incase to add air conditioning dont work. The whole leisure centre needs to be fixed !

Positive experience: Came yesterday. Paid full price to come in and yet half the pool was cornered off, no slides were open and we weren't allowed to use lockers. Considering we have returned to normal I expected to be able to use the full pool. The kids were a little gutted about it. I'll probably look for a more fun pool for our next swim session.

Negative experience: Used the sports hall to play badminton. The lighting is great as from one side you are staring into the light coming from an outside window. Also for some strange reason they thought it would be great to have the air-conditioning turned on. Imagine how the shuttle flew. All in all wasn't a great session but at least I ran around for a bit

Negative experience: Swimming pool staff aren’t bad, but that middle aged woman at the reception just pisses me off she’s got too much attitude for a receptionist darling if you don’t like your job then leave so people don’t have to put up with your ill-mannered behaviour.

Negative experience: Everything about this place is absolutely abhorrent. There's not one good thing to say about this place at all. Terrible staff Terrible facilities Terribly kept. Atmosphere of a grave yard. It actually drains your soul. I travel just to avoid this disgusting excuse for anything to be honest. Sh*t is a kind description of this place.

Negative experience: Younger staffs are nice but the old lady in reception is very rude. I have to say very very rude and racist so I left straight away because of her attitude. The soft play is so dark and not clean

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible booking experince, the site is crashing and not accepting payment (tried twice error came up both of times), when I try contact the Leisure Centre by phone no one answer for good 1 hour, left a message hope someone will contact me just to close my account, because there is no option for closing account in site, and I dont want my details to be on broken site like theirs.

Positive experience: Good swim. But no sauna and steam and showers yet. Due to safety coronavirus reasons. Best to book online. Sauna will open in September 2021.

Fantastic experience: Fusion has worked very hard to make Edmonton Leisure centre Covid safe. The floor of the studio, for instance, has been taped out in large squares - so you are automatically a safe distance away from others. I am so pleased that they are running yoga classes run by Pretti Bulsara again. She is an excellent teacher - ensuring all levels of ability are catered for. She is so patient and helpful. You have to book classes online - so don't try turning up on the off chance of getting in. The staff are very helpful but can't bend the Covid rules!

Negative experience: They were extreamly rude and kicked my daughter out the soft play because there was a party and wasn’t refounded so we went swimming instead pool was freezing and awful changing rooms not cleaned and broken DO NOT GO

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting. The changing rooms are in a right state, floor is never cleaned despite seeing about 3 cleaners doing nothing. Kids pool is not great either with litter on the bottom of the pool. Receptionists are also very rude and do not want to help.

Positive experience: Very good soft play, but it's be nice if clean and fix little bit. It so difficult to find place to play for kids. Kids hire have fun. But this place not looked after. Dust and some broken.

Negative experience: Receptionists are rude and don't pay attention to what you are asking and saying. They need to be more polite.

Positive experience: The location is good clean, but the staff especially desires one of the ladies at the reception. He doesn't know how to deal with clients.

Negative experience: Staff are quite rude, have zero knowledge on times for the pool or softplay. The soft play charge £180 for a party and its blocked off by a traffic bollard- holes in the wall.. the amount they get daily suley they can clean the pool properly and give soft play a paint?! Ita filthy.. a child urinating in ball pit where babies play and nobody cleaned it... NOPE NEVER AGAIN

Negative experience: The entire centre needs some serious work done on it, ceiling tiles missing for over a year, machinery faulty, worms in steam room. It's a health hazzard.
