Negative experience: Sadly have cancelled my Membership after over a decade. Once was a fantastic Gym/Pool when it was GREENS but over the last few years under Nuffields i have watched the place become dated and many of its facilities lost or in bad repair. The latest price increase while understood because of rising costs in living doesnt detract from the fact that it just doesn’t offer value for money anymore and the staff seem dissatisfied themselves. Not a great community feel anymore. Such a Shame. The inability to be flexible with peak and off peak membership when it comes to swimming is the reason i cancelled. Why should i pay for a gym I never use?
Positive experience: I’ve been a member of this gym since it was Greens. It is sad the way it has deteriorated, particularly since Covid. Staff changes at a rapid rate. Why? No towels. And recently, no covers for outdoor shoes in pool area and no tissues in changing rooms. Only one hot tub remains open, the one that is the same temperature as the pool. People used to soothe sore muscles in the hot tub jets. No more. The cafe barely qualifies for that title. Used to be able to get a decent hot meal with an active kitchen cooking it. It was packed every time we went in. Nowadays it’s coffee and complimentary tiny biscuit. Plus a few tit bits. A machine (outside the cafe as it closes so often) provides sandwiches which are pretty grim. I had black pepper with a barely evident taste of prawn. And some admin person had the gall to suggest that it was a Nuffield flagship gym outside London. Delusional. Sorry, not what it was and the price keeps rising.
Negative experience: There are usually men talking very loudly in the sauna. When reminded to lower their voice so that others could relax, they get extremely offended and verbally aggressive to the point I felt unsafe to stay in. The lifeguard on duty didn’t do much to handle the situation. I’ve encountered this scenario multiple times, and the staff seem quite indifferent to these disturbing behaviors.
Negative experience: The current 3-star rating they have (Jan 2025) is NOT deserved. Just tried to go in for a swim to use a free day pass I got at a community event, they didnt allow it (didnt have a date on it). Then I asked if I could pay for a day pass, they said no. Then I saw the Nuffield website has an offer and you can download a free guest pass for selected gyms - theirs is included. I did that - Ts+Cs do NOT state this cant be used by former members. They dont allow it because Anja, the customer experience person, said they can make their own rules. Then I explain to her that I cancelled my membership in 2024 because over the course of some 6 weeks there were 3 incidences with poo (feces) in the pool of which I alerted the team on 2 of the 3 occasions - after that I cancelled and sent an email to the manager there about the health-endangering conditions (it’s not just the pool, there is lots of visible mold in the showers too). Never got a reply. No empathy, no apologies, no attempts to make the situation right for me. Not sure a facility or a customer experience staff could do any worse than this.

Positive experience: I did love this gym. However December it was rammed. After 3 membership price rises in 12 months I have decided to cancel. The equipment is broken, only 1 hot tub ever in use and that’s warm, I can’t see where the money is being spent…..the lockers are over 25 years old haven’t changed since Green’s Gym, gym equipment broken it needs to have a really deep clean in the gym just looks small and tired. Monthly memberships over £100 a month in Cambridge it’s not worth it. Classes are fully booked.

Positive experience: Don’t understand all the negative reviews! There is plenty of gym machines and facilities for the amount of members. There is 100+ classes on each week; you can literally do a class every hour if you really wanted to. Reception, gym instructors etc everyone friendly. There’s a swimming pool, sauna and steam room, a cafe on site. I’ve never had a problem! Yes it’s not super glossy and brand new but if you want that go to David Lloyd and pay an extra £150 more per month!!

Negative experience: Keep increasing the membership prices are killing the business and will move to another gym as I don’t feel we are valued here after 10 years being a member !! Also a lot of issues at sauna and steam rooms and no jacuzzi anymore Don’t recommend

Positive experience: Honestly don’t know why this is a 3.2. Any restaurant at 3.2 would be rubbish. Although it’s not perfect, it’s perfectly functional. Positives: — decent set of facilities — friendly staff — not crazy busy. Some times can be but there’s always space. — booking system is fairly good for classes and penalises members for missing sessions. — pool is warm (for kids mostly) but it makes it nicer to swim in. — no problems with parking — decent opening times Negatives: — It’s clean enough, but it’s not spotless — it’s not brand new and shiny — hot pools are permanently covered: they covered over the two “hot pools” after Covid to save money. I believe it’s the same throughout all Nuffield facilities now. — you have to have a physical card with you for access and locker, no digital one.

Negative experience: A little disappointed, I had been a member since the 1990's and due to retirement etc, looked to give up my Membership; which was harder than it should have been.

Fantastic experience: I love going to this gym. The gym floor staff are so friendly and always happy to offer advice. It's not an intimidating gym at all. It has a good range of classes all through the day that are very rarely cancelled (unlike other gyms I've attended). Sure, it's getting a little worn around the edges now, but the locker rooms are always kept clean. Oh, and contrary to another review I've read, I found Wiktoria very friendly - and she does a great class!

Negative experience: POOR EXPERIENCE the staff is unprofessional and the management is even worse. they try to sell a dream experience but it’s simply average or less. the gym is poorly equipped, the staff never smiling, the bar service always slow where you have to beg somebody to be served, the changing rooms is always flooded because of the spool and the lockers often dirty inside. I had health problems documented by medical certificates and I have been ignored by the head department about my request to cancel my membership. I strongly don’t recommend this venue

Fantastic experience: Good service. Shower after work out in gym, sauna, swim, steam room, sauna, change, have a good day. Approx. 1.5hrs to 2.5hrs per visit. Life is busy so I go less than I thought I would. But when I go, no complaints. My time restraints aren't the gyms fault. The cafe is spot on for a coffee before leaving the calm and proffessional atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Excellent & Friendly Staff - Ian (Lifeguard) Is Awesome! Huge shout-out to the friendly staff at this facility. Particularly Ian, the lifeguard, who always goes and above and beyond, friendly, helpful, and has even (when asked) provided me tips on how to improve my swimming technique. He is a credit to your team. Generally, all the staff are really great. At least when I am there, somebody is always cleaning the changing rooms, showers etc... Thanks to Hannah too for remedying a minor gripe I had a while back, about an old pool timetable. Really love this place. Well done to you all!

Positive experience: Overall there are good things about this gym: great swimming pool, good sauna, decent weights/cardio area, and quite spacious. The people are mostly nice (staff as well as PTs). That's where the good things end. Here's the bad: 1. They have a new PT, Wiktoria, who is extremely rude and an absolute disgrace. Someone should teach that person some manners and how to communicate politely and courteously to gym members. Definitely an awful addition to what is largely a good team. 2. There's still only 1 whirlpool. At the time, energy costs were the excuse for going down from 3, but now that inflation has gone down considerably and membership fees have gone up, it feels like a total ripoff to continue only having 1 whirlpool. 3. The weights area would benefit from an extra rack and better benches.

Negative experience: Rather sad to see such a nice place, rapidly going downhill. I’ve been a member of Nuffield Gym (Cambridge) for a few years now. But as my membership expires in a few months, I will definitely be looking elsewhere. Why? In short, the place is being neglected by corporate funding and they are milking it for profits, not caring anymore of the condition. Examples of this include: - • Heated spa pools that were temporarily shut down curing COVID, are now permanently shut down. • Equipment keeps breaking down. (Today, it was the steam room and the swim suit dryer). • Tissue dispensers empty; • Soap dispensers empty; • Lights so low in the pool, it looked gloomy; • Parking lot not being maintained (flooded) • Whole facility looking quite tacky (like it belongs in a ghetto). So for the glorious sum of £60 a month, I get a sauna, a pool, a gym. I might as well go to the Abbey swimming pool for half the price, and get the same benefits! UPDATE: 19 Jun 24: The gym has responded 5 months later basically with a useless update. They have not even noticed I have stopped going 6 months ago. Forced by contract to pay for a membership I dont care to use at all. I am counting the days now until I have fulfilled my mandatory prison sentence of 1 year with this lot, and can cancel.

Negative experience: Doesn't maintain equipment UNSAFE Original review January 2024 - I have alerted the watt bike saddles were keeling to one side, making your seat off kilter (i.e. one glut higher than another when cycling) for a couple of months. No action has been taken - wattbike belt on one bike is slack, hasn't been replaced - one wattbike monitor has a dodgy connection - hasn't been fixed **since posting this review, a friend has shown me a video of the saddle completely breaking mid ride. Management aware and were aware of the issue needing maintenance about 2 months prior to this incident. At time of this review edit (29th Jan), no maintenance has happened nor any apology to the rider who could have been injured using this poorly maintained equipment **Since posting 26th march - wattbikes not fixed. I have contacted wattbike personally who have confirmed Nuffield Cambridge.have NOT booked a service date for the bikes.or any repair in **14th of April, no movement on a service request to wattbike from the gym or their third party equipment management team. This problem has been ongoing since November. Now with a membership hike. I've never had any acknowledgement to my written concerns to management. Second wattbike now also in serious need of a service with its belt stretched and with debris on... **17th April I've upped the frequency of asking about an update regarding wattbike service. I've been "guaranteed" a response in writing this time. I couldn't speak to the equipment manager at the time as she was doing a personal training session. It's a shame that her second job is preventing her from doing her managerial role. Still no date booked in for a service. Been told the service won't be of the full bikes because there weren't any reported issues about them... Stay tuned folks.

To confirm however, further part orders may need to be done to resolve any on-going performance issues. If they are delivering personal training, for safety reasons (they are providing active instruction to any clients) they will not be able to discuss operational issues while delivering personal training. Negative experience: I had booked the 7 day free trial, received a confirmation text, a code for my visit and an appointment time. Upon arrival I was immediately told that this offer was no longer applicable at this gym, even though I had booked it the same day. The staff were very dismissive and rude, acting as if I was the one who’d made the mistake. There was no offer of even a free day pass or anything for me taking the time out of my day to visit. Safe to say I will never be returning. You need to make sure your systems are up to date and improve your customer service.

Positive experience: Gym is ok. Other Nuffield gyms have staff on the front desk that always greet you with a smile - something that is never done at this gym. The cleanliness standard has definitely dropped in the past few months. If you go in the evenings it's far too busy to use the gym floor to do your own thing. It has a good range of equipment.

Negative experience: The gym itself is OK, but the management have closed 2/3 of the hot tubs and increased membership prices. They keep charging more for less. Edit: Lowered to one star as despite all of the above my membership price has been put up yet again by 10% this year (well above inflation).

Negative experience: Have noticed standard of cleaniness has dropped recently, particularly in the last few weeks. There used to a nice friendly male cleaner who always seemed very efficient and always on top of his job. Hopefully he hasn't left and just on holiday or something

Positive experience: Staff are friendly enough, the gym space is welcoming and clean. Membership price increase from 42 to 47 in the 2 years I've gone there has been a deciding factor in moving gym. The pool services were also reduced during this time. The nuffield health app isn't the most robust app. I found it a bit galling also that I have been told despite ending my membership on the 08/02/24 (my last payment being on 01/02/24) that I will still be charged also for the whole of March despite not using the services anymore? I think this is a problem with a lot of gym contracts not necessarily just Nuffield health.

Negative experience: I was here today and the cleanliness was awful! The sauna had a huge puddle of murky sweat that we had to step over at the door and it absolutely stunk in there. I’ve been a member for a couple of years and have never seen it this uncared for. Changing rooms and showers were also filthy with slimey floors and hair everywhere. They have definitely stopped cleaning as regularly as needed and it’s a real shame. Steam room was not working (again) and the dryer for swimwear was also not working (again)

Negative experience: Opening hours are not ideal, especially on weekends where it’s only 8am to 8pm. Also quite annoying that they don’t give out towels like other Nuffield gyms. Pool and sauna are nice but no cold water options. Not that much in the way of gym equipment either in terms of variety or quantity for the amount of people there are. Not a bad gym overall but not good value for money at all.

Negative experience: During the 5 years I used the gym standards consistently dropped, facilities available lessened, towel service stopped, maintenance of equipment decreased and the price still went up. After clarifying the notice required to be one month with two team members on separate occasions I'm now being chased for a full calendar month after I stopped using the gym. Terrible management and abhorrent practices. Disappointed.

Negative experience: Just joined as really liked the gym but some of the front desk staff have been absolutely rude to us! Really feel like customers should be treated with more respect and politeness. Front desk staff really sets the tone for the rest of the gym so would be nice if they were actually welcoming and polite! Decent gym otherwise, but given how I felt entering the gym twice in a row I’ve had to give it 2 stars.

Positive experience: Actually a good value gym compared with other Nuffields like Oxford (which is almost double the price but is poorer in many aspects). Decent range of facilities and the sauna and steam room are kept at surprisingly proper temperatures and roomy. The only drawback for me is that very occasionally the cleanliness is not up to standard but this appears to have been fully addressed recently.

Negative experience: The personal trainers show no regard for other customers on the gym floor. Yesterday I went to the gym in my lunch. One trainer had the music so loud for 2 clients, I could not hear my own music in my headphones. And then he started a beep test with another client, again at deafening volume. When I asked another trainer if he could turn it down, the response was basically 'no', totally unhelpful and quite rude. They could easily do the beep test and run classes/train their clients, without ruining everyone else's visit to the gym. Everyone has headphones on but it's no good if the noise is so loud you can't hear them! I've edited this review from my last complaint also about the trainers, one of which was inside the gym clearly ill and coughing and spluttering every few minutes. I joined the gym to get fit, not to get ill courtesy of the gym staff themselves. Staff should not be on the gym floor when clearly unwell and symptomatic. I think the management should speak to their trainers and remind them of a few courtesies to normal gym users, but I suspect nothing will happen as my last review took 6 months for a reply! Customer service is seemingly lacking at Nuffield in all areas.

Positive experience: Update 26/7/23: I have cancelled my membership, although due to their policy I have to pay for the whole of August still. I doubt I'll be re-joining unless they do a significantly reduce priced gym only membership. It's gone downhill. Still, quite a lot of equipment (when it's operational) but things like the spa pools being decommissioned (2 out of 3 no longer available), free towels taken away, reduced cafe opening hours... All starts adding up and the membership fee just keeps increasing. I would love if they would offer a gym only membership at a reduced rate. I don't use the classes (can never get on them anyway) and now the spa pool available is the cold one I don't bother with that. An idea for Nuffield to consider. Had this at my last gym (i.e. there was the option to have gym only, gym + pool or classes, or all 3). Will see how it goes over the next few months but I might not be member this time next year.

Negative experience: Good facilities. The gym equipment should be changed or serviced as some of the machines in the gym show significant wear. The gym gets absolutely packed during peak hours and you will need to queue to use a machine, nonetheless it has a good range of machines. Some of the staff is very unfriendly (Esther Boyson at the reception in particular) and they seem unwilling to help or bothered if you ask for something. They also don't give guest passes on a regular basis and you need to pay £15 for a single use guest pass. They have now permanently closed 2 out of 3 of the spa pools, did not offer any discount or compensation for reduced service and still increased the prices of the monthly memberships. They don't really care about the customer service and experience, it is just shameful. Better service is expected given the price of the monthly membership.

Negative experience: I am very upset with my membership with Nuffield Health in Cambridge. I had a 1 year membership, which ends at the end of February. However, I was surprisingly charged again on March 1st 2023. The front desk says they will continue to charge me unless I request for cancellation and will charge me 1 month more after cancellation, which is ridiculous because I remember only signing for a 1 year contract. When I signed for the membership for Nuffield Health, they promised to have the hot tub and steam rooms. However, they closed the hot tubs completely half way during my membership time! The payment for the membership is already unjustified because they don't provide as expected, and now they are unlawfully charging me even after my membership time ends! I have not used the gym at all since March 1st after my membership ends and I would like the charge for March back and stop future charges! I complained to them via their website at first, but they ignored me (maybe there're already too many complaints queuing before me?) So I decided to post this publicly here. As the employee of a local company in Cambridge, I will definitely not recommend Nuffield Health Cambridge to any of my colleagues, due to my bad experience.

Negative experience: I hate their lack of emphaty towards the customers. Be aware that if you want to cancel your subscription you have to announce them a month in advance, if you want to freeze it you have to do it before the 15 of each month. Everything is in advance, even to book a class. It's like it's our fault that we can't predict the future. The subscription cancelation procedure is a joke and a spit on customers face. Horrible customer support and services. Would not recommend this place, a place that don't care about people's needs.

Negative experience: They gave 4 guest passes which I couldn’t use bcs it’s expired after 6 months. Should be ashamed by puregym who gives 4 guest passes every month

Positive experience: nice gym, nice staff, just wish it stayed open longer and opened earlier. closes too early !! especially on weekends :/ - if it was 24hours would be even better !

Positive experience: Gym has become extremely busy and some of the pools have closed for cost saving. Some of the perks like free towels are no longer available.

Fantastic experience: Good gym equipment, a wide choice of classes. Yes the classes are all booked early but if I join waiting list, I almost always get it in time for the class. Swimming pool and sauna are also great. There are also classes for kids so parents can exercise in the meantime.

Negative experience: Had a v bad experience with Nuffield gym. Joined on a trail basis to the gym out so paid a rolling contract. The classes are always booked and i always ended up on a wait list. Maybe attended two classes in one month. The sauna is not looked after properly and manky, the Jacuzzi is not cleaned and always has weird hair in it and the changing rooms are in a poor condition. When i gave my notice to quit the gym a few days after the start of the month, i was told i need to give them 30 days notice from the start of the month so they made me pay for two more months despite not having used the gym facilities at all. Just v disappointed with their lack of customer service and would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Nuffield Health Gym Cromwell Road Cambridge: Not an intimidating place, hooray. People of all ages from mums and toddlers, teenagers, adults and the mature are here! Good all round gym, with swimming pool and spa. Facilities for changing and refreshments catered for. Very good knowledgeable staff, all there to help and do not mind being asked. There are regular classes if you download their app and book into whatever you require. Those with disabilities or health problems don't be intimidated as there are people just like you there. Good Parking facilities and disabled bays. This is definitely a gym l like

Negative experience: Shocking customer service!! Followed link from the Nuffield Cambridge Facebook page for a trail day and I was redirected to Chelmsford page with out realising. Booked with out realising. Noticed upon receiving notification that it was wrong so I called Cambridge Nuffield. The lady was Incredibly rude. No apology. Simply told they are too bust to offer a trial. I'm very cross at how I was spoken too
Negative experience: Decent sauna, steam room and jacuzzi but if your main purpose of going to the gym is to lift weights then it's not for you. There are 2 squat racks that are always occupied and lots of cario equipment that I've never seen in use. Also only 1 free weight bench press so you often need to wait. It would be ok but my rating has put price into the equation per month it's £74 which would be ok if I didn't always need to wait for equipment because there's not enough of it. Also missing a free weight lat pull, the one that you pull inwards instead of down.
Negative experience: On the contract, they clearly say they have an honest cancellation rule. That basically means that If a member moves from the city or have a medical report, they can easily cancel the membership. However, when you had a medical report and tried to cancel it, they stopped the communication and always forwarded you to another one. Nevertheless, it was effortless to become a member. I had hand surgery and tried to cancel my membership but could not reach anyone to help me. Just they stopped communication. The exciting thing is that I paid 11 months by direct debit—all the communication play for just one monthly membership fee. Now I sit in my house and cry for this honesty. How honest people live in Cambridge and work at Nuffield Health Moral Centre!
Positive experience: The swimsuit dryer in the men's changing room has been broken for half a year. It's very disappointing that they can't fix it or buy a new one.
Negative experience: Increased membership fee with reduced quality and quantity of services. The staff ignored members' complains. Giving excuses. Not taking members' opinions seriously. I kept giving comments and opinions for years but nothing have changed or improved. Variety of classes are greatly reduced. Towels not available. Declining business.

Negative experience: Management are completely inept. I would not recommend this club to my worst enemy.
Negative experience: Absolutely appalling management and customer service. I undertook personal training sessions from Nuffield and for a number of months was given misleading information by members of staff about my sessions. This led to a huge amount of confusion and my money being wasted. I asked for an explanation and was made to feel responsible, even blamed, for the confusion that the staff created. One of the excuses for the confusion by management was: 'We do not expect our staff and the personal trainer's to know the personal trainer contracts that members sign'. Better service can, without a doubt, be found elsewhere - if you're looking for a gym that values your membership, this isn't it.
Negative experience: The gym is only OK. It's best suited to pensioners (who seem to be in majority at this gym) because they can use it off peak. The rest of the time the gym is absolutely rammed. I was rarely able to book the only class I was interested in (pilates) even though I tried to book it at 7:00 when the booking opens. All the classes are so full you have to be careful not to kick someone accidentally. Zumba was the worst. The pool is very cold - I've seen the swimming instructor wear a neoprene suit. When I emailed them about this, their answer was that the temperature is optimal for "active swimming". Presumably that means swimming lengths, but if you're there supervising small children or are disabled and unable to move around much to keep warm you'll be freezing after 20 minutes. The pool is tiny and would be perfect to families, but never mind. The trainers and instructors are all good and friendly, however the same cannot be said about half of the customer service/reception staff. Uninterested, bored of customers, rude. What really put me off this gym (Cambridge) for life is their really nasty attitude when you want to cancel the membership. In my case they aggressively disputed their own HQ cancellation instructions. I really did not expect this from Nuffield Health's branch, as I have always had a great experience with their corporate customer services. I was only going to take a break until next year, but after the way I was treated I am never coming back. Tip: Read the negative reviews (including the ones on Facebook) for a fuller picture before committing. I would visit the gym at the time you intend to visit regularly to get the feel for how busy it it is before you commit.
Negative experience: Asked at reception about prices.....they didnt know or are not told prices despite me telling them i am in a rush.....you have sit down and discuss blah blah....sorry i didnt come gere to sit down and discuss your secretive prices.....lost me as aclient....just joined DW SPORTS around the corner....1 call told me prices......very good.......NUFFIELD FIX UP ....NOT JOINING THE CIA....ITS A GYM....
Negative experience: Good Gym if a little small, no problem at all with the facilities or staff. The cancellation procedure however is a joke. I felt like Chandler and Ross trying to cancel my subscription. You can't do it over the phone or through your bank or through any website. Giving advanced notice and cancelling in person is not acceptable for any modern service, I could close bank accounts and mortgages easier than cancelling my gym subscription.

Fantastic experience: I like the place, they have some stiff competition now with the new "budget gyms" opening nearby, but I still think it is worth paying extra to get the Pool and sauna/steam room. The main room is air-conditioned, TechnoGym machines with the larger cardio ones having full screen touch displays with TV channels (in HD too), all pretty new. Plenty to keep you busy and a few different ones I've not seen before in other Nuffields. Towels are provided for the pool, which is a great touch. Remember to enter you Car Reg number if you go for a mega sesh.
Fantastic experience: Best of the gyms in Cambridge, for a ~£45/pm you get an excellent gym, wide range of daily classes, swimming pool, sauna, free parking and even a free towel!
Negative experience: AVOID! Terrible experience, much better gyms around who actually care about members.
Negative experience: Good Gym, lack of family facilities and Extremely disappointing cancellation experience. We found we were not using the gym enough because of the difficulties getting to the gym and the lack of things my daugher could use in the gym. Which is fine but is has been an extremely unpleasant experience both via email and with call with membership administrators. My husband called to cancel all the accounts in March. They cancelled only ONE of the THREE accounts. This was only discovered on the 3rd April when the payment for my membership and our daughter's membership debted from the account. I addressed this on the 3rd of April. I called the gym and was asked to send email to Membership Administrator. After receiving no reply from my email by the 9th, I emailed again (on the 9th). The membership administrator's reply email indicated they would charge me for May as well. After a phone call with the membership administrator, it was clear that the only thing the membership administrator was interested in was getting another month's of money. Helping me was last thing on her mind. So we will be charged another month by Nuffield. Very unpleasant experience that I feel needs to be documented here.
Positive experience: This is a well equipped gym with friendly staff, good facilities, and ample parking. The sales people are a bit pushy but the service is good. I got sic and needed to pause my membership and the team there did it free and straightaway while i recovered. Its not a luxury gym, but it is affordable and you get a towel and the equipment is clean and maintained. Only issue is the classes- a booking app is there to book them but they are almost aways full so it is really hard to get on a class unless you do it the minute a class is released a week prior.

Negative experience: Been in Cambridge for the past 3 weeks on business and therefore went to this gym (since I am a member at the Stockley Park, Uxbridge branch and therefore have dual access). I would say the place could do with a revamp, controls on the running machines are not very responsive, so if your going to try and do hiit training and change speeds between 14.0 and 6.0, good luck! The men's toilet's absolutely stink all the time, worse than a toilet at a club. Apart from all that, it's got some good machines and not too busy in peak times. But I am definitely looking forward to going back to the Stockley Park gym!

Negative experience: Don’t consider joining if you like spinning or studio cycling. The so called dedicated and custom built studio was not actual designed for it and is like a sauna even in February . The bikes are not serviced properly either and the management doesn’t want to do anything about it.

Negative experience: This gym is a mixed bag. The classes and instructors (Christian, Katya, Lindsey) are great, yet with the new booking system, it's nearly impossible to actually attend the class! Certain classes are reliably filled up by 7am in the morning a week in advance. Paying £44 a month, I expect to be able to attend exercise classes without this level of difficulty. Adding another class to enable more people to come would be a wise move, since clearly this is a popular class. However, even when one can attend classes, the front desk staff still seem to be incapable of telling one whether the class is full or not. Yesterday morning, the front desk assured me that BodyPump 11:50-12:50 was not fully booked, yet there was still not enough weights for everyone. It's time for management to actually start managing the gym and paying attention to the amount of equipment available/ what classes are popular.

Fantastic experience: Big, clean gym run by professional staff. The classes are great. They are able to vary the training program for each individual clients needs. For example; I had suffered a severe brain injury whilst being a member there and that gym helped me to slowly get more physically active safely.

Fantastic experience: Great 1hr session with the Cambridge Sports Massage Team. Got rid of many painful knots and tangles in my back and shoulders.
Negative experience: All spa facilities are disgusting dirty. One tiny overcrowded jacuzzi constantly toped with more chlorine yhh. Bigger jacuzzi is cold and uncomfortable to relax. Sauna fits about 6 people squished like sardines. And a steam room it's piss..

Positive experience: The facilities are fantastic. A gym with equipment I have not seen before. Great pool and steam room. I would say that the other gym members can be a little self righteous sometimes and focus more on being there rather than fitness. This creates a less relaxed environment than you would find in a more functional gym where people are just getting on. Best facilities I have experienced in a gym. I understand a refurb took place Dec 14.
Negative experience: Very disappointing! They made me pay although my membership was frozen. The management is not customer-friendly at all - when I called the response was "They always want an exception." Be careful to ever sign up for a membership... Even when I was still a member the sign up for the individual courses was annoying (you always have to queue in advance and still cannot be sure that you get a place in the course).
Negative experience: The management is not interested in solving customer's problems. They took money out of our account without informing us. Afterwards they refused to find a solution for the problem.
