Negative experience: Poor response when attempting to speak to a member of staff Daughter trying to book a gym session and the booking system is trying to charge her when it shouldn’t which leaves no option other than to drive there and book or call. Been waiting over 20 minutes for staff to answer. This has happened a number of times since joining the leisure centre so clearly the whole systems still don’t work. Perhaps her membership isn’t that important as it don’t generate money due to piggybacking her dads membership!

Negative experience: Possibly some of the rudest laziest staff I’ve ever known the facilities are actually quite good, but they seem to have a real problem employing Capable staff

Fantastic experience: Short queues to get booked in, plenty of changing rooms that are clean. Busy pool but still space for everyone

Negative experience: On an evening, I tried to get through by phone for over 1 hour 40 mins to sort out something important I could not sort out on line. The phone line either eventually went dead as in not answered and stopped ringing or I sat at no. 1 in the queue for over 20 mins Eventually gave up. Appalling service. No chance of speaking to a human.

Positive experience: Mixed review from me. 3 frustrations, 1st the website and app is not well designed or executed, reset password on webpage but then no qr code on webpage. 2nd that the staff seem to be getting obnoxious, been times gym staff just hanging around with their mates and lots of swearing in group, not itself staff members fault but they need to keep distance. 3rd is gym has lots of kids and people who are not using gear but when you go to use it suddenly appear saying they are using it. It has the feel of a youth club at times. Shame as decent equipment and otherwise I like the gym.

Negative experience: Really terrible comms. Recent open day landing page said to phone to book activities. Tried 5 times, just rang and then hung up, no one ever answers. No indication how to book online, then arrived and told it was fully booked. Will go elsewhere!

Positive experience: Probably 5star if you are monthly paying member, but for my partners once a week pool fitness class, the hassle in booking a place every week as soon as the booking opens is like a lottery. When the class was restricted to those of a certain age, it was easy to book within a few days of the class but now members get advance priority and few places remain for those who pay-as-you-go. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Cafe seems a little short staffed at times.

Positive experience: It's great value for money, I've only used the spa and it's good enough. You get 2 hours free parking with it so it's worth going

Negative experience: First time going to Wokingham swimming pool brought tickets for the inflatables for my 8 and 5 year olds. When we got undressed and ready to go on my 5 year old got scared and didn’t want to do it. So we jumped in the small pool to which I was quickly kicked out of and told if we don’t go on the inflatables then we have to get out as they are fully booked. I’m fuming my 5 year old took it like a star but after looking forward to this all day it’s very disappointing that nothing could be done no family’s have this situation? The place is filthy. Pools are cold and the staff are unhelpful. I wouldn’t take a credit note as I would not come back here if you paid me. They need to ask themselves who is there targeted audience and then try to accommodate! Lucky to get one star!

Fantastic experience: I am a member there for almost a year. I think it is clean, new and modern. I like it. Lots of fitness classes to choose from. Gym in new, bright and modern. I would prefer more space for functional training but so far I always managed to fine space to do the workout. Staff is friendly all questions that I had were ansnwerd. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Very good facilities and large selection of classes.

Positive experience: Great and knowledgeable instructors and swim teachers. Front of house staff are helpful. Unfortunately the quality of spin bikes is not great. It takes several attempts to find that works. They are poorly maintained and the RPM displays are invariably broken. A shame because the new spin studio is fab. The Health Suite is grimy and hardly a place to relax. Please please please can the management enforce some kind of etiquette. Loud voices, chatting on mobile phones, it is so inconsiderate. When I'm visiting the health suite I really don't need to listen to people talking at the tops of their voices about their favourite curry house or the latest on Eastenders. Unless some kind of rules are enforced, I'd not recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, modern and well equipped

Positive experience: Swim here regularly during the day, you get a couple of hours free parking for the multi-storey opposite when you log your reg on the machines inside. Pool isn't too busy at lunch if you want to do lane swimming and the facilities are decent. Showers poolside are pretty toasty so there are temperature-controlled ones through the changing rooms, just ask a member of staff if you need them pointing out. Staff are helpful and friendly, never had any issues. One gent recently helped me set up a gym membership too which was great. I'd recommend calling the centre direct for up-to-date info on facilities and memberships as the website was slightly outdated. Only been to the gym once and it's fairly standard, nice new equipment everywhere but the studios are being expanded so there's temporary works going on. Will hopefully be a bit more space for box jumps and stretching etc after that's completed. I left just as peak time was starting so if you don't want to wade through a sea of Lynx Africa and school bags, best get out before 15:00

Positive experience: Pools are well designed but cold, kids come out with blue lips every time they enter. Several of the life guards are miserable as sin and seemingly permanently whistle at people touching the water dividers - if you don't want people touching them put a sign up.

Fantastic experience: I've just enjoyed a great swim here. The pool was busy, but not overcrowded, it was easy to choose and merge in with a lane at my pace. The changing facilities were perfectly clean - a big thank you to the cleaning staff.

Negative experience: Such an awful experience, Got shouted at when we first got into the swimming pool placing our bags down and got told we were allowed in this one area, Then got told we had to leave after 30 minutes because of a school but wasn’t told this prior to booking! When we came to get our bags, my son went into the splash pad area (for all of 2 minutes) and got shouted at again by life guards saying it wasn’t open and we had to leave the pool. Never have I experienced such a horrible place to have a “family swim” Definitely would not recommend to any family and definitely would not go back Such a shame as it used to be a lovely place for families before the refurb

Positive experience: Nice clean and 2hrs parking for gym users

Negative experience: I love the facilities and classes. But hate the pool changing area, for months now there are so many flies in the drains they fly around on the cubicles and make your skin crawl. Photos don't really capture them scurrying around. But it's mank. Only negative of this place on my view

Fantastic experience: It was a great swimming experience with my 3-year-old daughter to play in the water. The learning pool and the showers in the changing room have warm water, and most of the time, the place is very clean and tidy.

Negative experience: A decent gym but not the best, most staff are nice but there’s a female who I assume is a supervisor who is extremely rude. She’s letting the staff down and made myself and family feel unwelcome.

Positive experience: Now I use this place almost every couple of days and it is a lovely leisure centre. The staff are always lovely and friendly and I always have a great time swimming. Haven’t tried the Gym yet. I am an accessible member so for £13.50 a month, it’s a no brainer compared to no discount at Bracknell as well as full access to all of Wokingham Borough Leisure Centres’, not just the carnival hub. In terms of accessibility at the centre, there are many disabled parking spaces (which are free in Wokingham Borough for blue badge holders) outside the Bowling Alley and Multi Storey as well as on level 0 of the multi storey car park. There are also regular spaces which are in the multi storey and you get 2 hours free in this car park when using the leisure centre. The centre is amazingly accessible with specific classes and times for those with additional needs as well as facilities that are modern and fully accessible including lifts. There are also accessible toilets, changing, showers including Changing Places facilities with full hoists, showers and changing beds. It’s so great to see an accessible leisure centre. The swimming pool is great and large however, me being 6 foot tall, I can fully stand at the deep end so it is on the shallower side of things. I am also pleased to see a lift and steps into the pool as well as the normal ladders which is amazing. And the lift into the pool works! My only criticisms are that the changing area flooring is really slippery when wet, especially around the shower area, the health suite (sauna, steam, salt and citrus steam rooms) is also outside the pool area across the corridor from the changing area so to use these, you must get changed from swimming and change to use these rooms. Also, the lockers use padlocks (that are £6 to buy) to lock the lockers and don’t use a key. Overall a great leisure centre.

Positive experience: Been to the pool only... Water is good, but tiles in the showers can be very slippery when wet...

Negative experience: Will not be coming back!! This morning 11/7/2024, we tried to get into the family swim session. However approaching reception we were met with a female receptionist who was difficult from the start. What should have been a simple process was made to be very difficult and was not welcoming at all. Having done this process before which was relatively smooth and quick it was very poor service. As a result we will be using other facilities elsewhere with better ‘customer focus…..’

Negative experience: I recently attempted to visit the gym (5th August 2024) to take a look around, but nowhere on the website does it state that you need to book an appointment. I parked, walked into the gym, and was greeted by a very rude receptionist who simply said, "No, we have no staff" when I asked to have a look. I was asking for a quick 5 minute look around. She then just stared at me as if to ask why I was still standing there. I ended up having to pay for parking, even though I was only there for about five minutes, and the car park has terrible reviews so I am probably going to end up with a ticket due to the confusing signs! As a personal trainer with 10 years of experience in both sales and training, this was the worst experience I've had at any gym. I will definitely be using ENERGI FITNESS and ARC GYM when I move to the area. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I should have seen the 3 star review before I made the travel.

Positive experience: Wokingham Leisure Centre @ Carnival Hub is a great place to work out, swim, or just relax. The facilities are top-notch, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Negative experience: Applied for a free 5 day gym pass - as advertised on Places leisure website - but they refused to let me in because the person who deals with that way "Away on holiday". It feels like reception just wanted to be difficult. Went to try St Crispins Places Lesiure Instead, Told the reception I applied for a 5 day free pass, showed him on my phone- and he fine......let me straight in to use the facilities.

Negative experience: Worst swimming pool i have ever been in my life

Negative experience: Trying to book a birthday party at the Carnival hub Wokingham was not a pleasant experience to say the least. We visited the venue in person only to be told by the staff that they can’t help and that it can only be done online, the online links or emails didn’t work so I had to call them to get the right email for bookings. Didn’t get a response even after 3 days so called up again to be told that the person who handles birthday bookings is very busy as she handles two locations so when my email comes up from the queue I may get a response. I have booked a different venue now and needless to say I will not be using the facility or recommend it for any events.

Negative experience: Be careful of the terms of freezing membership, I got failures several times in freezing it and turned out need to pay for periods during I am away. Class choices are limited, and many are virtual only. Swimming pool water is cold, shower room upstairs doesn't have hangers, you will have your clothes get wet.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted and I won’t be returning. I attended a kids birthday party and 1 of the bouncy castles had been switched off by a member of staff and had deflated in the middle of the party, it hadn’t even finished and there was a 4 year old child crying his eyes out because he was stuck inside the deflated bouncy castle. Luckily another mum had heard the child cry and rushed over to help the little boy out with no help from the members of staff. I actually cannot believe this had happened and cannot express the danger enough of this happening whilst children are playing on the bouncy castles. I’m appalled by the actions of the member of staff they should be ashamed of themselves. Please be careful and very mindful of this if you go here on the future!!

Negative experience: Worst experience of my life today being in the soft play the bouncy castle deflated with the air flow being turned off by members of staff which they did not check if all children were off and a 4 year old boy was trapped underneath a deflated bouncy castle which members of staff did not even realise he was trapped underneath thankfully my mother heard some crying from that area and tried calling and checking to our disbelief she found a child trapped under the bouncy castle so she alerted all mums and dads and members of staff around to help thankfully with vigilance we were able to get the child out with him being in a hysterical state with my own children being there I can’t emphasise how much this has effected my thoughts on the safety of anyone’s children please be careful and thankfully this incident ended with a child being petrified and not fatal

Negative experience: Firstly the gym is great and well equipped, with friendly and approachable staff. The reason for my 1 star is specifically because of my frustrations with children's swimming lessons. Firstly the design of the area where you enter the pool is far too small, especially with essons starting and ending at the same time. It is cramped, hot and stressful just trying to get your child to their teacher. Children end up missing 5 mins at the beginning of most lessons as it take so long to get them in the pool. And with the price of the lessons having increased twice in the last year this is especially annoying. I have emailed the manager Emma to express my frustrations, but felt fobbed off with her reply. Nothing has changed or improved since. Other leisure centre's let the children in the next lesson stand against the wall, upto 5 mins before their start time, to wait for their lesson to start. Or perhaps they could stagger lessons so some start/end at quarter-past and quarter-to so that everyone isn't in that area at the same time. Or perhaps a system where pickup parents line up on one side to keep it clear for drop off parent. Lastly my child has been in stage 1 for over a year. I have to wonder if this is because of the higher up lessons being fully subscribed. The pool has an adjustable depth but always seems to be set far too shallow, which in my opinion doesn't encourage the children to swim as it is easier to just walk! And to add insult to injury the pool is cold! It is completely pointless complaining at the main reception as you are faced with a sullen faced manager who cant even be bothered to pretend she is interested in what you have to say.

Fantastic experience: Good for badminton. Free parking for 2 hours in the multi storey - don't pay in the car park, enter your reg number in the sports centre.

Negative experience: Don’t join this gym unless you enjoy groups of annoying kids tensing in the mirror thinking they’re the next schwarzenegger while using the only available piece of equipment for 30 minutes having a catchup with no regard for anyone else. Overpriced considering the gym is oversubscribed and small with dodgy cables, rattling benches, and no preacher. Oh and they closed half the gym for a week with no reimbursement. Even a pure gym is better and cheaper from my experience

Fantastic experience: Absolutely first class. Great staff and great facilities.

Negative experience: Pretty average gym and fairly small. Most members of the gym are under 18. I don’t understand how the gym was closed before Christmas for a week straight for improvements and new equipment and in March it’s going to be closed yet again for another week in the strength area which is very popular. Doesn’t seem fair to be paying for a service you’re not receiving, surely this could be done overnight. It’s a new building. Also Staff are rude and immature. Never greet you at reception and just don’t seem bothered. They don’t even have weighing scales in the gym. What gym doesn’t have weighing scales. If you were having personal training sessions how would they track your progress. The changing rooms in the health suite are dirty and don’t seem to be checked often. Overall this place has gone down hill very quickly. Seriously considering leaving if things don’t improve

It's not made very clear that you get 2 hours free parking, when you park in the multi story. Floor in the changing room area was pretty grubby, and the main issue, the main pool was ice cold! My fault for not booking in advance. Will stick to the Camberley sight

Negative experience: Just reviewing the Gym alone as I don’t use any of the other facilities. The equipment is pretty standard and new, had no problems with any of that. My main issue is the community and culture here. The amount of actual children roaming the gym, taking up equipment to egolift is ridiculous. On peak hours it feels like I’m walking around a primary school. The gym culture here is pretty poor as well, very few people rerack weights, people will take weights off your machine/equipment without asking and despite ample cleaning equipment nobody cleans their sweat off machines and benches. Most of this isn’t the gym or the staff’s fault but as someone who goes to the gym often and has used multiple across the last few years, the atmosphere in here can be really terrible. So I find it hard to give it any higher then 2-3 stars.

Fantastic experience: Super leisure centre for all. Good parking in a multi storey car park free of charge for leisure centre users. Lovely new building. Well equipped Gym with all the machines and equipment. Nice changing facilities. There's a swimming pool, activity hall, cafe, and a library too. All good

Negative experience: 인터넷으로 투어 약속을 잡고, 당일 가입을 하면 가입비를 빼준다는 말에 가입했습니다. 그러나 시설만 투어했을뿐 이용 방법 설명을 못 들었네요. 센터에 도착하면 예약했던 클래스에 들어가기 전에 체크인을 해야 한다고, 예약했던 클래스는 언제까지 취소 가능하다는등 그렇지 않으면 패널티가 얼마 있다는 등. 정말 중요한 것들에 대한 설명을 듣지 못하고 다니다가 패널티만 자꾸 발생되어 이상함을 느껴 스스로 발견했습니다. 이메일로 보내줬어야하는 어플도 보내주지 않았습니다. 시설은 깨끗하고 직원들도 친절하지만 가입과 동시에 좀 더 세부적인 설명이 필요했다고 생각합니다.

Fantastic experience: Large spaces, easy payment system

Negative experience: Looks shiny but the swimming lessons are not good. My DD signed up nearly a year ago, but not moved a stage. After checking with the office and teacher, we were told that she will be moved in one or two more sessions. I am sure this is because they have too much demand and over crowded lessens and no places in upper stages. How frequently they are assessing the kids may need checking as well. I have seen my DD swimming at phase and progressing very very quickly to upper stages while we were sending her to Bracknell leisure centre. We had to move her back here after a long wait. I won’t recommend.

Negative experience: Good facilities but the pool is too cold for little ones. My baby was shivering despite wearing a wetsuit

Negative experience: Just been to the new pool for the first time after many visits to the old one. The disabled parking is too far away from the entrance and says no entry but the other entry is permanently blocked? Six showers for whole pool and so everyone left after their slot at the same time. Queued carrying a disabled slippery wet child who is unable to walk. Then the disabled chair faces away at a 90 degree angle away from the wall mounted shower. Nowhere to hang towels so had to put them on the wet floor outside the toilets to reach after washing. First impressions were no padlocks on lockers- walked back to reception where the one member of staff was dealing with a new membership- waited patiently then asked where I get a padlock. Bluntly told here, £5.50. I asked if this was a hire basis as thought you’d get £5 ish back on return of the lock? No it’s a one-off payment. I said could you have mentioned that when I booked in? “No, it’s probably on the website.” Sullen answer and needless to say - not going back.

Negative experience: I took my disabled daughter here today. I will not be returning. The shower area with disabled seat is ridiculous, the shower head didn’t come off and therefore I had to carry an 8 year to wash her in the shower. Staff were so so rude! Asked about lockers, you have to pay £5.50 for a lock. I asked if they have locks to use (and pay for) for just they hour, I was told no, why don’t I just put my stuff in there and pray nobody steals it! Eye rolls and huffing staff at the front door isn’t a great look. Was in the freezing cold pool for about 5 mins, will not be coming back here. Was so much better before the refurbishment

Fantastic experience: We've only been to the pool on the family sessions on weekends. Quite packed, so you can't really have a swim. But we could splash about and have fun. Our little one really enjoyed it. There is a separate splash area for little kids, that was really fun. They have other activities for kids and adults, I'm keen to find out more as it all looked interesting. The different areas were clean. Aware it's a rather new building, I just hope they continue looking after it and maintain it well. Changing facilities are a little confusing when you first go - mens and womens are for sports and not linked to the pool, but pool changing appears to be family area only. Not a problem once you'vee been once or twice but worth noting for a first visit. Lockers also require your own padlock, which seems a strange decision for a new building. There is car parking which is free for 2 hours BUT only if you register on the machines inside. This is a good system but it's slyly not made clear anywhere in the main car park, so many people will pay for parking when they don't need to (this is probably the fault of WBC rather than the Leisure Centre though). All in all, a great addition to Wokingham and worth checking out!

Positive experience: Great venue. Good gym (need another leg extension) Only problem, like with all gyms, over subscribed 5-8pm. Going to get worse when they shut Crispin.

Negative experience: Disabled toilets have good facilities with hoisting etc , but are always dirty bins especially the Nappy/pad never emptied and smellls. We put something in bin and 2weeks later it was still there. Have had to tell staff that they need emptying, it should be part of the cleaning routine every day

Fantastic experience: The swimming pool is a favourite of my daughter, and it has consistently been a source of joyful family moments. ‍♀️‍♂️‍‍

Positive experience: The gym is very well equipped. It's often busy earlier on in the evening, so I tend to go after 6:30. The pool is very clean and 25m long. Unfortunately, lane swimming is only possible at very inconvenient times (just after open, midday and just before close) the rest of the time it seems to be kids lessons and family fun sessions. The health suite is excellent, very relaxing and (mostly) quiet. The equipment in the health suite has been temperamental in the past, but most of the time it all works.

Positive experience: This is a really nice gym and the pool is also really nice, although is a little cold for my liking. The health suite is very nice too, but in my opinion, overpriced for what it is. Especially at £25 a time for people who don’t have the full membership, making it hard to just chill out in the spa with friends who don’t have the full membership as it’s just not worth it. The spa could also do with a hot tub instead of the lounges as I personally feel it is a waste of space. That’s just my opinion though. I began going to the gym here, shortly after the property has just opened to the public and everything seemed amazing. Recently though, some issues have started to come up such as people not putting weights back in the correct place and it can be quite hard to find the correct weight plates for barbell exercises, especially small weights being buried behind larger plates on the racks. It would be good to try and enforce people to put weight back in the correct place (and call people out for not putting weights back at all (which is also something is happening more). Perhaps the staff just calling out people who are being lazy and not putting weights back either at all or in the correct place. It’s making the whole experience of going to the gym a little tedious now and at £65 a months, it’s not on. Also, there seems to be a little bit of rack and equipment hogging going on during peak times. I understand that people are training for competitions sometimes and they need to have the time to do it, but when it’s extremely busy and someone’s on the squat rack for an hour, it’s really not fair. Even more so when you ask if someone is using a piece of equipment, only to realise that they’re actually using two or three bits of equipment, at the same time.. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Equipment Variety and Quality ⭐⭐ - Gym rules enforcement ⭐⭐⭐ - Staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Classes ⭐⭐⭐ - Pool ⭐⭐ - Value for membership costs Just my two cents.

Negative experience: I was driving near some handicapped slots to find a drop off spot for my family, but the parking attendent was already taking photos of my moving car trying to issue a ticket. U-turned to get leave, I managed to find the loading zone, which is behind the building and 500+ ft away from the entrance! For badminton courts, my son found the floor is the most slippery among other centres. And why the entry procedure, booking + check-in consoles + computerised gates, are so complicated? This leisure centre is quite new. There are still lots of improvements required.

Negative experience: There are visible signs of grime and dirt on the walls of the steaming rooms, and it is evident that the maintenance staff had neglected to address this issue. The presence of unpleasant residues left by previous visitors was quite off-putting and detracted from the overall ambiance of the facility.

Fantastic experience: Staff were a little in experienced but facilities were great lots of space for everyone. Definitely better than others

Negative experience: The gym is packed with teenagers, difficult to do a decent workout. Pool is shallow, busy and dirty. No idea why swimming caps are not mandatory?

Negative experience: Beautiful sports center, clean and modern. There are several very unpleasant girls who work unprofessionally at the reception. There are no complaints about the rest of the employees

Fantastic experience: First time here with 3yr old, have attended Active play & bounce then swimming pool after, very clean place especially the swimming pool, good layout, enough family cubicles plus plenty of hairdryers, the fun corner by teaching pool with water pistols and fountains is amazing but so is 90cm deep teaching pool, will return here

Fantastic experience: Awesome new leisure facility in Wokingham. Great staff, especially front desk and gym team. Everything nice and new and clean. Couple of teething issues with the app used to access the facilities, impacted more by impatient members of the public. I'm not a big swimmer, but the pool is great, have heard good things about the water quality from serious swimmers. Overall a 5* facility for Wokingham..... Remember, be nice to the people who work there, they are just doing their job, if you can't work a phone, that is not their fault!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended.

Negative experience: If a decent work out is what you are after, avoid this gym at all cost. Full of young kids hanging around in groups around equipment making it impossible. There isn’t a “get it done” vibe here it’s just teenagers using the gym as a hangout spot. So frustrating because I signed up for a year long membership but hate the idea of going here. The pool and other stuff is great though.

Positive experience: Pool was clean as were the changing areas. Partner also said the cafe was lovely. A nice little leisure center

Negative experience: Terrible service You call the number provided only to keep hearing the same unhelpful recorded message - nobody ever answers

Negative experience: Car park is one of the worst to park in if you have a medium to large car you'll end up with damage to wheels trying to turn to go down the exit ramps

Positive experience: Decent pool/ gym facility- I was here on a visitor pass for two days & used both the lap pool as well as the gym. Lap pool is 25m, had to book in for a lane & lap swimming has limited hours of availability. Went to the fast lane & there was a younger adolescent dawdling around in it so I just swam around her until she got the picture. Pool easy to use & locker room layout is really spacious. Gym is also spacious- I felt like I was searching for the cleaning stations (there were two that were spotted for the whole place?). Good variety of equipment & I appreciated that there were multiple cable machines. Again, dedicated facilities for the fitness centre were spacious. I didn't experience any rude gym staff- perhaps complacent but other than that nothing out of the ordinary.

Fantastic experience: My favourite gym in the area. All the facilities are well kept, brand new and easy to use/navigate. All the staff are polite, professional and helpful. Great location, you could easily spend a day in the area and as a member, parking is at a largely reduced rate. 5 stars, no complaints at all, this is the place. Mentioning the parking, there is no motorcycle bays meaning i'm forced to take an entire car space, i assume to the frustration of the person who thought it was empty before driving right up to it. Possible addition in the future?

Negative experience: Person giving us a tour had no clue about the facilities at all (didn't even know if there was a netball court when there was literally hoops hanging from the wall). The swimming pool is small and has no character at all (no slides like the old one). Always busy when trying to do the lane swim (even early on a Saturday morning). The gym is so small and always busy as well. For the price you're paying for a membership it's not worth it. I've cancelled and found somewhere better (i.e. bigger) for a lot cheaper.

Negative experience: Lord that was such bad experience using their website. All over the place. Rejected confirmation emails, accounts locked, unreadable pages. Reference numbers that are GUIDs one minute, numeric the next. There's no way in hell it's WCAG 2.0 compliant. Second when you turn up it does not get any better, the staff have a wise band system which was utter chaos for the kids pool. They had no idea who was in what session where. Then you get to the changing room. £1 in had for the lockers... And nope it's a padlock. So leave the kids to trapes back to reception who are swamped, to ask where do I get a padlock? Answer £5, it's a good padlock, so that's cool. However, there was no "is this your first visit?" Blah blah, customer care. Just chaos. Then the shoes! OMG so you have to leave your shoes outside of the changing room in what can only be called a dumping ground. They got upset about taking them into the lockers and knowing this area it will be like Ozone ice-rink with shoes getting stolen... So you need two lockers for a family of 4 one outside for the shoes. One inside for clothes. The changing rooms seem to have air con on too so it's horrific. Thile kids loved the pool but described he changing rooms as "the worst day of my life ever" clearly they were not impressed.

Fantastic experience: simply amazing!!! I went here to learn swimming independently and increase my confidence in deeper waters. This is a great place to begin a hobby in swimming and you come here at any age! You can be minimum age 5 and book teaching lessons in the shallow pool and there is even a little splash pad too. I highly recommend this place! :D

Negative experience: Swimming pool training staff are not qualified enough as they are under pressure they don't teach my son or even spend some efforts trying to encourage him. Very disappointed when you have more than 4 months of membership, and your kid still learning nothing. They look they don't care if the kid did wrong. Bad experience in swimming pool lessons for kids.

Positive experience: It's a nice new swimming pool. Great for adults... If you have kids then the old one was better...but that's just my opinion

Negative experience: Note this is the old pool, 2015. Not yet tried the new one! Shallowest pool I have ever (tried to) swim in. I find it only possible to swim without the risk of cracking a knee on the bottom in the deepest 1/2 - 2/3 of the pool. So probably great for learners and small children but a real challenge for lane swimming. Facilities and changing are good, includes little Sauna. Prices are very reasonable. Need 20p for lockers.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service, staff unable to provide a logical or empathetic response to my query related to the locker padlocks. Given an extra star as the lifeguard blew a football match 'full time ' whistle tune to signal the end of the swimming session which I very much enjoyed.

Positive experience: Lovely place my 3 year old had great fun today only one negative we thought the water in a kiddies pool could be warmer plus in changing rooms it seemed aircon was on which made it cold there

Negative experience: I had an awful experience with very rude and unhelpful staff. After signing up for a free pass to check out the facilities, I traveled to the centre to have a look around and swim. Unfortunately the staff would not honour to visit for a reason unknown to me. Even after presenting them with proof. 1 lost customer

Negative experience: Awful customer service. Emailed countless times. Eventually got a response and told to wait. It's been 3-4 months now

Positive experience: Brand new, very clean, lots to do. Free parking for 2 hours if you use the leisure centre (excluding the library) by tapping your number plate into the machine behind the turnstiles. The cafe/vending machine offerings could be healthier.

Negative experience: Staff don’t really know what they’re doing Website is unclear when it came to booking for ‘family fun’ And by god it’s virtually impossible for anyone to answer the phone!! Very disappointed as I was super excited to use the facilities with my baby. *update* It’s been a month since I was due a refund from the leisure centre after following all the protocols for a refund correctly. They emailed in response to my follow ups promising it’ll be done-never happens from ‘The assistant placemaker manager’. I also went in person one weekend and the manager didn’t want to see me in person but promised a call back same day, via a messenger. Of course he never called. Shambles! *update 2* Now on two months of being promised a refund from the assistant place maker which was apparently green lighted by the general manager (don’t know why necessary as i followed all the correct protocols) let’s call this what it is. STEALING. Please report to Wokingham borough council as they have no shame.

Negative experience: The gym is like a crèche full of teenage boys and younger. This is even after 5:30 or 6pm on a weekday! Avoid this place if you want a workout and not wait while the teens are texting or chatting around all the equipment! That is not too mention all the teens hanging around the entrance area!!

Positive experience: Recently updated it is a great place for sports for all ages.
