Negative experience: Not value for money. Expensive membership in comparison to other councils. Price increases while offering less facilities No local pool for a year, no sauna, no steam room in ALL council leisure centres, which other centres are able to provide. They may reintroduce them for the commonwealth games, while we pay for it in our taxes.

Positive experience: Went here on a weekend for a long relaxing swim. Loved it, while here i relaxed and had a coffee, good pool quality and alright coffee. changing room was wet but thats usually common

Negative experience: Reported the Watt bikes being without charge (no one knows where the charger is??) 8 or 9 weeks ago. They said they had ordered a charger.... Still waiting. Feel sorry for the staff at the reception as they are all really nice, but they're the ones who have to deal with the poor poor management of the facilities.

Negative experience: 3 days after visiting here I’ve had bad skin rash and I’d guess it was the totally unacceptable level of hygiene. The place is a disgrace, pish inside the changing areas, nothing is working, nearly everything is out of order, hairs, plasters nails, are just some of the things I’ve seen around the health suite, I can’t even believe I’m calling it that, this place needs to shut if it was a restaurant the inspectors would have shut it down! Staff are rude and arrogant and most of them look as if they don’t want to be there, that I can understand! Will never return don’t know what I’ll catch next!

Negative experience: Very disappointed, A staff member that looks over the swimming pool was very grumpy and had an attitude problem. There is no accommodation for disabilities. ( I was asked to leave the pool due to goggles ) Also, Half the pools are permanently closed which was not on their website or told to us when paying. The pool and changing facilities are also filthy. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Negative experience: If I could leave 0 stars I probably would. The pool at Bellahuston is disgusting and barely worth being open at all. Only the main pool is open, all other pool facilities (play pool, outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and flume) all are permanently closed. Information I didn't see online nor was I told when paying/booking at the desk. The changing rooms are filthy, floor was dirty, there was urine in showers and bits floating in the pool (including a plaster and bits of paper) There's also no private showers (apart from 1 in the disabled toilets) Will definitely not be returning.

Negative experience: Avoid this Glasgow Club if you’re looking to play on their courts. They’re not only dirty, but they take 15-20 minutes to set up your court most times. As said, they don’t ever clean the courts, so it’s littered with dust and trash at all times. The staff here also don’t seem to care about customer service or being friendly in any way, and seem to go out their way to make your time here as miserable as possible. I would recommend Glasgow Club at Gorbals, where staff always have a smile on their face and go out their way to make your time there far more enjoyable.

Negative experience: Womans toilets are absolutely filthy, at the antique fair so have been here since 9am till 3pm and not once have they been cleaned after me saying many times how dirty they are, they also had no toilet roll so we were all using hankies in toilets

We were here with our baby, the only thing open was the main pool and you can only have your baby in a very small section. Don't waste your money, go elsewhere. Very disappointing visit.

Even If you raise your voice as a club member….front of them they would ask you to leave & humiliate you.. I never had this unprofessional disrespectful attitude behaviour experience in my life

Negative experience: Shambles of a place. For starters the play park outside is a mess. Beer cans, broken swings, climbing frames and other play things. Total mess. The pool. Another shambles. I've never known the flume to be on. And at the start of the school holidays the kids pool is closed and to top it off we arrive for our session to find out the schedule has been changed. That's the last time I'll use this place.

Negative experience: Gym is very limited. One squat rack, one cable machine, basically one of all the things that aren’t cardio. Dumbbells are extremely limited. Not a single mirror to check your form. Makes pure gym look like a David Lloyd!

Positive experience: The pools used to be dirty, but since the refurbishment they've changed quite a bit and are now fairly clean. The changing rooms are the same. The flume is not working, so don't come thinking your child will get to use it. The kiddy pool isn't open, and neither is the outdoor one. The main pool is great as usual. The gym has great facilities, and the staff are friendly and are happy to answer questions and help with form. There's great customer service. If you're getting a membership, and you'll be using the place regularly, especially the gym, make sure to go for the fitclub membership, because it means that you don't have to book gym slots. If it's a more occasional thing, go for the activclub membership. However, you will have to book gym slots. Overall, it's a great choice for all your exercising needs. Also, if you're gonna use it regularly or you have anxiety about booking through phone calls, book through the app. Way easier. Remember, in the app there is no option to add kids to booking, so either get your kids their own membership or book through the telephone.

Negative experience: Prior to lockdown I visited this complex frequently as it was essential to my fitness and health goals. I am beyond frustrated and angry that this location seems to always be closed. following the Covid restrictions being lifted they closed the pool for a further few months for “necessary refurbishment” and after it eventually open again they have still not reopened the health suite Saunas and steam rooms which have been allowed to reopen since Last year. It is a community pool and recreational area there is not allowing access to its facilities and cannot give an acceptable reason as to why. When I phoned to ask if this health suite was open they said no it’s still closed and they don’t have a date for reopening why is it closed in the first place? Covid restrictions were an excuse for years they can’t use it anymore so now they’re just ignoring people. Trying to find an alternative in Glasgow is impossible and it’s affecting peoples health and well-being.

Negative experience: We went to have a nice relaxing swim with friends. However, the night was ruined by extremely rude staff members within the pool. They were unreasonable and extremely disrespectful. This was my first time back to this pool since I was a child. I had great childhood memories, however they are now ruined after this experience. The staff should really work on their people skills and improve their customer service. We did nothing wrong during our session, yet the lifeguard choose to be nasty and unreasonable. Such a huge disappointment.

Negative experience: Booked online there was no option to add kids to the booking called to do this and was advised on the call there was no longer a flume even though the website still advertises there is one. I was advised Pollock had one but was not entitled to a refund. I could only move the booking to another time. Not the greatest of service.

Negative experience: Pool is really good but the staff at club is really very rude. I was told to go into the pool after 10 mins so I went into the pool after that but there was nobody inside. We went changed, took shower, and checked till the gate but didn't find staff to ask. My wee one was shivering so we decided to go inside the pool. When the staff member rushed to us and he was yelling to get out. Also he used f words to me. For this behavior, I will give worst rating to the club.

Negative experience: Go to ON-X in Linwood instead.. We wont be back here! We had never been so turned up only to be told we had to book. I've never had to book swimming anywhere in 45+ years. Staff were so rude. Told me in front of my young son we could get in at 2 only to change her mind and tell us there was only one space. We went to On-X instead and the staff let us in for free and were fantastic.

Positive experience: First day back after a couple of years, as always staff are awesome, always greeted with a smile. Now on to the gym equipment... awful just awful, outdated machines look like they have seen better days, broken equipment, some machines had plastic coverings missing etc and some unusable. This is not what i hoped to see when i returned.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to get fit then this is the place to go to, for a very reasonable £27 a month you get access to 21 gyms spread all over Glasgow as well as 12 swimming pools some of which have steam rooms and saunas though some of the spas incur an additional charge so worth checking, the atmosphere is relatively relaxed and suitable for people of all ages and sizes, when you join you are allocated a fitness coach who will help you set up a workout to suit your goals and you can update your workout every 6 weeks and amend it by adding or taking away exercises, there are also classes most of which are included in your membership, I myself have been attending for just under a year and can feel the difference as I am able to walk fairly long distances without having to ask my wife to slow down to enable to catch up, so if you were thinking about getting fit you won't find any better for the price. PS unlike some of your trendy expensive gyms the Glasgow club is not full of posers just people wanting to improve their fitness and weight.

Negative experience: Changing rooms in swim area and health suite are pretty disgusting, always rubbish lying around and pools of greenish brown water near the drains. The health suite is always flooded with water and doesn't feel relaxing at all. It's in desperate need of a refurbishment. The gym has very good equipment but you need to go at the right time as it's difficult to get on the equipment you want. The cafe area also needs a refurb as the hard seats are uncomfortable and the soft seats are damaged and tired. That all being said, the staff are always very helpful and friendly, always greeted with a smile and hello. The atmosphere is good and you don't feel like the gym is judgmental. In conclusion, this is an okay place to workout with really nice people and a good atmosphere, however it can do with a refit and a better cleaning regime. Real potential for this to be a good facility.

Negative experience: Very bad service today I needed drinks quickly for a diabetic friend. Despite a simple request the catering staff persisted in indulging two dirty old men who with their indulgent orders. It was disgusting

Negative experience: Rubbish! Can never get access to a public pool because it is always booked out for swimming lessons. Not one lane left open for the public, they accept your money then ask you to leave. Completely unacceptable. Never any communication on the website. Its about time the management team reviewed this situation, the facilities should be accessible to all, membership is not worth the money. 7 male members of staff waiting at the desk to give me my refund. I'll never go back.

Negative experience: Came for a swim on Sunday evening after checking to see if the pool is open online. Online there was only one class listed at 6:30pm. On arrival we were told that the entore pool was closed for swimming lessons and that we couldn't swim. Very disappointed, £27 pm and not even being able to swim.

Negative experience: Really disappointed with the swimming facilities. The toilets and changing rooms were filthy. The flume wasnt on and the pools looked like they needed a good scrub. I dont expect much from that type of pool but no toilet rolls in toilets, toilet paper all over the floor, as well as hair and grass is disgusting. Wont be going back

Negative experience: Good equipment and range of classes but often filthy. As a frequent user of the squash court, I don’t think it has ever been clean. Even after the refurb it is still dusty with broken-off paint flecks all over the floor. This could be dangerous as on a recent visits there were multiple slip hazards including hair slides and half-chewed sweets on the floor.

Negative experience: Terrible, I went to the pool with 2 of my friends and we are all 13 and the stereotype of teenagers being up to no good made the lifeguards very disrespectful towards us. There is no diving allowed so we were jumping in and apparently that’s still not allowed. The outdoor pool is only open unless it’s like 50 degrees ( never ) and the flumes are never open. Also not allowed to have races lol. The pool was also very cold and everything was dirty. I won’t be returning

Positive experience: The courts are a bit worn and it was really crowded and noisy. All the equipment is also a bit run down. Not the worst I've seen though.

Negative experience: The staff are uninterested and unhelpful! A group of friends and I was using a badminton court and there was lots of benches in the hall but they were all tipped on to their side and lined in the middle. I asked the staff at the reception if we could use one of those benches to sit on to rest in between matches but was told they must remain in their tipped position in the middle of the hall for "health and safety" reasons. If they are such an issue, why bother having them at all if they are not used for their original purpose? Also, if they're tipped on to their sides, it's far more hazardous since the legs of the benches have sharp corners sticking up. There was other people in the hall who did not ask permission and simply tipped some benches to sit on and use, a small group even moved it to their side of the court. I reported this to the reception since this was a "safety issue" and yet NOTHING was done a while later. I felt singled out here, maybe because my group were all Asian? Are we being ignored and lied to for racist reasons now? Simply put it, the rules were not consistent, nor enforced. No signs on the benches stating they cannot be used.

My fave Glasgow pool to swim in. Unfortunately let down by cleanliness of pool, changing rooms (v dirty!), toilets, etc. Really needs to be addressed.

Positive experience: The pool is nice but the cleanliness has taken a real dive (ahem). I hadn’t used this pool in a while and it was really noticeable how grimy everything in the changing rooms is, especially when you compare it with the smaller pools like Easterhouse and Castlemilk. I think of this as one of Glasgow’s flagship facilities so this is a poor reflection. Also it would be good if the pool opened at the same time as the rest of the centre so you could go before work.

Negative experience: This is my local pool and as such I would love to use it more. What's holding me back? The place is just filthy. The changing cubicles never seem to get properly cleaned. The floor throughout the pool area is always dirty, very dirty. The shower today had excrement on the floor and it was cleaned with just a sluice of water. The ladies toilet has a cubicle that hasn't been cleaned in 10 days. How do I know this? Because the I was there 10 days ago and there was blood splattered on the toilet and when I was there today it was still there. This is totally unacceptable by anyone's standards. The entire place is in need of a serious deep clean and some proper hygiene standards put into action.

Positive experience: Great facility with lots of classes available. Lovely instructors and great friendly reception staff. However.....the changing rooms are like a sauna all year round something needs to be done to cool them down. The showers are worse than school showers back in the 70's and a link of paint wouldn't go amiss.

Positive experience: I have been a member for years. Generally, I find staff friendly and helpful and the gym area is clean and well maintained. Machines, when not functioning, tend to be repaired relatively quickly. Unfortunately, as other reviews have highlighted (and none of the responses have addressed) the hygiene in the health suite and changing areas is absolutely foul. There is regularly food debris left in saunas, the place stinks and there is always hair and dirty water or stains on the floor. I regularly wear flip flops in the changing room, but stilts might be a safer option to keep a fair distance from the bacteria. If the hygiene of the changing areas and health suite improved, I would be very keen to award 5 stars.

Negative experience: Arrived to use swimming pool today. A woman with dark long hair and glasses was completely unhelpful and almost indifferent. - zero customer service. I was asking here about membership queries and she looked like she didn't give a dam and the other two staff members beside her were sitting slouched on stools and she was too. Glasgow City Coucil need to investigate I live 300yards from the gym and the said staff need retraining in customer service asap as this is a public service. I would receommed PureGym in city centre for membership

Negative experience: Extremely dirty and absolutely disgusting. Some of the staff are also really rude but not all, some of them are also very helpful. Why are Glasgow city so bad at maintaining their services? Everything is always left until it's beyond repair. One of the showers had been fixed with a plastic bag...

Negative experience: This place make me nauseous. The changing rooms are so dirty with cotton and stains all over the lockers and changing rooms. The metal in the toilets are rusty, the tiles need replacing and there was a beer can behind a broken wall. I have never been so disgusted, the place is ready for an outbreak of some disease. There is moss all over the tiles in the swimming pool and it is very slippy. Got to say, for a city that has just hosted the Commonwealth games, Glasgow City Council should be appalled.
