Public Outdoor Gym in Bush Hill Park

Negative experience: Omfg don't go in the toilets they are nasty park is amazing

Positive experience: There seems to be a trend of poorly designed workout equipment popping up throughout London’s parks and this is no exception. The idea behind it is to be inclusive by providing no challenge whatsoever so that anyone can use it and imagine they’re having a workout. The irony of installing equipment inclusive to everyone is it’s only actually useful for 1% of the population; the super-morbidly obese and those over 90 years old. All the equipment provides less of a workout than a slow walk, so unless you’re too weak for a slow walk it’s pretty useless. Why not also include a pull-up bar and dip bars? My only guess is the Karen(s) working for the council are bitter towards people with a decent level of fitness so decided to block any form of actual exercise. I’ve given 3 stars rather than 1 as the wonky frame and wonky horizontal bar can just about be used to salvage a workout given enough creativity. This is better than Enfield Town Park gym which has zero usable equipment.

Fantastic experience: Nice place to be alone and train

Positive experience: It's a fairly ok gym. The equipment is quite new and in good condition, but it's no substitute for a proper gym. But it's free and in a park, so very good for that.
