While the centre has many positive attributes, some recurring concerns include:
- Issues with cleanliness, particularly in changing rooms and pool areas, which several users found unsatisfactory.

- In some instances, users indicated that certain areas feel overcrowded during peak periods, which can detract from the overall experience.
Overall, Bracknell Leisure Centre is recognized for its great facilities and dedicated staff, making it a solid local choice for fitness and leisure activities, although there's room for improvement in maintenance and booking processes.

Bracknell Leisure Centre: Opinions
Negative experience: Not great, lot of the equipment broken, dogs allowed inside the gym what is ridiculous...
Fantastic experience: Netball Camp for girls ... wonder if pool would cater for Underwater Hockey
Negative experience: Very hard to book any session if you are not a member. I tried to access the website. the system did not accept my passport. Tried to reset it, did not receive the email needed for resetting. Tried to get help sending an inquiry, it goes back to the password resetting process. Tried to give a feedback, same issue - it takes you to the same page. Useless!
Fantastic experience: I had a brilliant time at the adult quiet swim this morning 10/10 for a wonderful service at the reception desk very polite staff. The pool was a lot warmer as it was a heated main swimming pool. It wasn’t too bad. I’m definitely going to be coming back for another Adult quiet swim next winter as Spring is almost here.
Fantastic experience: I received help at the Leisure Centre today. Id like to thank Debbie, Aimee and Tillie for their great professional assistance.
Fantastic experience: A good local leisure centre with excellent facilities. Some large investments have been made over recent years and it shows. The centre is run by Everyone Active and though memberships could be cheaper, the staff are great. I'd highly recommend it if you're local
Fantastic experience: Good GYM, fully refurbished SPA, great swimming pool, lots of classes, all together it is a great sport leisure centre.
Positive experience: The Caffè area was nice. However the coffee was average and the espresso machine and the tips for heating milk for the latte looked as if they had not been cleaned. However the viewing area at the pool was very uncomfortable. We were there for a swimming gala and had to seat all day on aluminium bunches. If one is going there to view some event at the pool definitely take something soft to seat on with you.
Negative experience: Disgusting facilities, changing rooms and pool area always dirty. Pool is old and falling apart with brown tiles, missing steps and a ceiling that looks like it’s about to fall down. Aboot time they tidied the place up considering how much they charge for swimming lessons and memberships in general.
Positive experience: Generally Bracknell leisure facilities are quite good. Good variety of classes & staff are friendly. Swimming pool floors & surrounding pool area need a really good clean. Swimming pool changing rooms are actually disgusting & very unhygienic. They are not cleaned enough & quite often if you swim first thing in the morning they haven't been cleaned from the night before. Would definitely recommend that you wear flip flops while walking in that area. Life guards don't pay attention to what is going on in the pool, if there is a problem you have to point it out to them rather than them observing what is going on. Gave 3 stars due to constantly dirty changing rooms.
Fantastic experience: We attended a birthday party here at the soft play and it's an amazing venue staff are really friendly and the kids loved it walking past the gym it looks really good too
Fantastic experience: Has a good variety of classes where the instructors are always friendly and happy. The pool timings are really good and inclusive, and the mini spa really is a haven. Membership is very reasonably priced, and I thoroughly enjoy my visits.
Negative experience: Got a platinum membership with my partner 4 months ago and hardly get a time to go there for swimming and spa cause of the limited timings, they open when you at work and when you are free on weekends they close by 4pm also there is no cleanliness, staff are rude not very helpful. There is limited machines to use in gym and people occupied machines two at the same time and you have no option but to wait for more than an hour or leave the gym. Had a very bad experience today at gym cause of the guy was using two machines he didn't let me use it I waited for more than 40 minutes. when my partner went to use the other one there was a guy doing exercise next to the machine and said I am gonna use this as he brought it from his home. I am sure they gonna lose customers soon if they don't improve these basic things, specially timings.
Fantastic experience: Very easy to access and nice location
Negative experience: Grim. Unplayable squash courts as they were literally SO FILTHY and broken floors meant the game was ruined. Even the toilets were dirty and covered in loo roll by 9.30am. Would never return. Complained to the manager, and no offer to refund the £16 for the game and no explanation for why they’re doing zero cleaning, and clearly hadn’t for potentially weeks given the depth of the dirt, but charging high prices. Go elsewhere.
Fantastic experience: Great experience, a good choice of classes for all abilities with brilliant teachers very friendly and welcoming.
Fantastic experience: Big shout out to Luke, Gym Manager at Bracknell Sports Centre - thanks for doing a 1-1 induction for my 13 year old with SEND. You were very kind and explained things very well for him
Negative experience: Would they please get rid of that wretched booking system and let people walk in like they used to. Everywhere else in life has returned to normal after the pandemic, so this place, and all other Everyone Active branches and their competitors, should too. Without the booking system I would give them 4 or 5 stars.
Positive experience: Good gym but not cheap
Negative experience: Booking platform is a joke, got a booking for a different day. Of course, no refund…
Negative experience: For context I learned to swim at this sports centre 40 years ago so have been swimming here on and off for years. Today was the last time, the changing rooms absolutely reak of urine and so do the showers. There are many lockers, changing rooms and toilets with out of order stickers on. Some keys on the lockers are attached to used hair bands, some keys have the wrist attachment and some just a key. There are ceiling tiles missing. The pool tiles are filthy and stained or mouldy (I can't tell but they look awful) the ladders in and out of the pool are dirty and have a layer of grime on them. There are no spinning machines for costumes which would also be helpful as most other centres seem to have these now. I felt dirtier after my shower as all I could smell was urine. It was disgusting. What has happened to the up keep? I wouldn't recommend this swimming pool anymore until the cleanliness is dealt with.
Fantastic experience: My review is based on the soft play only. I came 18th June 2024 for my sons birthday. I had arranged for a few of his friends to join us. From the moment we arrived till we left the staff could not off done any thing better to help. They were great. Always checking too clear our table. Talking to the children . When we ordered food and drink it was quick and and very efficient service. They kept checking we had enough of every thing and made sure all the children were content with there food. The soft play is new so it fresh and lovely and clean. Toilets are spotless and there was no mess in entire area. I was very happy and every one had a fab great time. Shout out to your friendly staff who made the visit a lot nicer. Twice we have visited and all the staff have been friendly. Taking children out can be very stressful experience , But when your made to feel welcome the entire experience is a lot better.
Negative experience: Brand new spa and still the hot tub is broken and not working in their
Negative experience: I was hesitant to give this place two stars but, the front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. Downside - ignorant cafe staff who chose to carry on talking amongst themselves rather than serving customers who were waiting.
Fantastic experience: Nice friendley person that served me with my coffee
Negative experience: The management of the gym allow bullying and harassment of vulnerable people to go unchecked. I have made a complaint about a member of this gyms behaviour towards an elderly disabled man that can no longer use the gym because of him. I have not had a reply and the victim was told that they had lost his complaint and he should just get on with it.
Fantastic experience: Great multi sports facilities, great SPA , friendly staff members
Negative experience: My review is based on swimming lesson experience. The changing and shower area smell of urine and are filthy. Have been coming here for 6 months now and have never seen a cleaner on site checking the state of facilities. The pool has brown discolouration on the bottom. The lessons overlap which results in cutting the childrens swimming time by 2/3 minutes every time (lessons are only 30 minuts). On the plus side the swimming teachers are great! Front of house staff not always up to scratch with customer service. As for the Everyone active app, no staff was able to explain how it works so its completely useless to me. Very disappointing.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and friendly staff, looking forward to signing up.
Negative experience: No use if security inside center. My son's bike helmet was stolen and they did not check CCTV footage. Requested them for a footage and they said cameras were not working. Finally after forcing them they asked me to lodge police complaint so that they will provide CCTV footage to police.
Positive experience: Using this facility for my swimming daily. Loved it. The pool has appropriate heating, and the staff is friendly. The gym together membership is a bit expensive, and still I suppose it won't cover most classes. But facility wise, the leisure center is great.
Positive experience: Used the cafe, very clean and welcoming. All staff were lovely. Actually went to use the breast screening service van in the car patk
Negative experience: Why can't councils run anything themselves anymore? They get these big private firms in who just take of the facilities that we all paid to build and then you find yourself paying nearly £7 for a swim, having use a flipping app to book and the facilities looking tired and dirty. Someone is winning out of all this but sure as heck isn't us.
Negative experience: Really dirty
Fantastic experience: Has everything you could need and reasonable prices
Negative experience: Sad to see the deterioration in this gym. Sauna is broken and if works then its time restricted. Don't bother if you are a working Mother. Opening times are messy and inconvenient to say the least. Opens when you are at work and when putting the children to bed. Weekend closes at 2pm just when you have time for yourself. So basically you pay to never use it!!
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym
Positive experience: Good selection of classes including yoga, pilates & zumba. Gym has everything you need. Staff are friendly and helpful
Fantastic experience: Nice place
Negative experience: Gym is okay, however, the SPA area is absolutely filthy and disgusting. The changing rooms haven’t been cleaned , dirty floor, smelly, hair everywhere. The water in the jacuzzi dirty as well. Absolutely disgusting
Fantastic experience: Great fun great family day out
Negative experience: Waste of time, each pool lane is individually booked out separately, long gone are the days of just pay and swim. You get 1hr, but they don't let you in early so the first 15 minutes are lost getting changed etc. Pool is in dire need of a clean at the bottom, cubicles are dirty and not cleaned often enough.
Negative experience: The centre has never been the same since taken over by Everyone Active. It does not serve the community and is now more of an expensive elitist option for the select trendy few who attend the gym
Positive experience: Good gym equipment, sometimes busy, gym has a modern look
Negative experience: Pools are filthy & the 1hr times lots make the pools & changing rooms really busy, you have to queue for showers & cubicles. You used to be able to pay & swim for as long as you wanted but since covid, EA have obviously decided the hour slots are a money spinner - they charge more for less time! It's gone downhill a lot since EA took over!
Positive experience: Very nice
Positive experience: Swimming lessons for children are very good.
Positive experience: A nice enough leisure centre with good exhibition halls
Positive experience: Leisure centre is in need of repair / modernization, gym needs more variety in machines now bodyzone has closed, very over crowded with groups of school children gathering cluttering up work out areas. Pro is parking is free but can be very busy to get a space. Good monthly price compared to gyms in the immediate area.
Positive experience: Visited here on Saturday for a finescale model railway exhibition. Layout is fine, and café facilities are good enough. Warning: Upstairs gents toilet facility a bit tight especially if you have to use the cubicle. It is virtually impossible to swing the door open/shut without coming in contact with the toilet bowl, so beware!
Fantastic experience: First visit. Very clean and friendly. Well equipped
Positive experience: Not busy. Clean and tidy
Fantastic experience: Gym, food, gymnastics, swimming and getting a haircut here is a good idea.
Negative experience: Recently signed up to become a member on short-term bases. This was all explained to the young staff member when signing up. He explains i can pay the first and last month in advance and cancel before any payments should come out. Paying £60 there and then. Having used the gym four times in this two-week period. Upon trying to cancel I got two automatic email replies. I called the gym three times over three days being told someone from membership will call me back. They did not. To then see £82 taken from my account ( my membership i had signed up for was £50). after calling AGAIN, and finally speaking to someone being told ' it's not my fault you got told the wrong thing' and having to ask for it to be refunded with a blunt ' we will not be doing that'. So now i am £140 out of pocket for absolutely nothing. Terrible customer service and it terrible that you are blaming your paying customers when you should be training your staff to a basic standard.
Fantastic experience: It was our first time here but it's been very nice, we've attended Active Antz in the Main Hall and the staff was really kind and informative, will return back for sure
Negative experience: Dirty and pool needs a facelift
Positive experience: Very helpful reception staff and overall a great experience. Excellent warm up pool and the main pool was set at the ideal race temperature. Good cafe area, although the serving counter is way too small when busy. Very clean toilet facilities. Individual changing cubicles would be preferable.
Negative experience: Very bad customer care. I was trying to return after 2y break but due to trchnical issues with gym partners and EA front of house lack of will to help I gave up. Very disappointing!
Negative experience: Cold middle swimming pool and the baby pool is STILL closed after COVID so you have no choice but to go in colder middle pool after half an hour we had to leave as our young grandson was cold temperature for children needs to be at least 31 degrees and I was told the pool is only 26 degrees but it felt much colder changing rooms and shower area not much warmer swimming pools need refurbishing they are the same pools from over 30 years ago filthy and disgusting with brown stains on bottom of pool and the steps into pool need updating too it does not look or smell very clean won’t be going back again
Fantastic experience: A very good facility, from reception staff to the cafe. All staff very friendly and helpful. The body balance classes taken by Claire are really well done. The sauna has great facilities. Although built years ago, when items fail they are repaired promptly and given there's two of most facilities, one always works. Sauna morning manager, the only time l attend, does a very thorough job and is very good with customers.
Positive experience: Only four stars since l can't comment on the exercise facilities given l only accompany my partner, who is a member, but l don't use the leisure facilities. All staff are conspicuously friendly and helpful, which was especially apparent when my partner had car trouble. The cafe staff are unfailingly polite and efficient; they make all visitors feel very welcome.
Fantastic experience: Really good time
Positive experience: Apparently you can not strip off in the sauna I didn't know this and was stopped fast by the staff
Fantastic experience: Great night of boxing Bracknell Leisure Centre :-) Lots of parking
Fantastic experience: Massive court, awesome swimming pool and gym. Free parking.
Positive experience: Went to the spa on a free trial session. It was good but quite basic and a little bit dilapidated and grubby. The gym looked fairly decent.
Negative experience: What a joke! Got Platinum and it was the worst decision. After they took my money Everyone Active started to cut my options. Get 12 months of the price of 10, they say, and after that you can't freeze your account for a day! This is robbery!
Negative experience: Literally the worst website I’ve ever experienced. The leisure center is fine, but £@$¥ me
Fantastic experience:
Negative experience: Great gym, great staff but it got so extremely overcrowded for the past few months that it became impossible to use the gym. Every piece of equipement has a few people on it. I have to find a new gym after 3 years as this one is becoming silly now.
Positive experience: It's nice sometimes swimmignpool water is cold but after a bit youl get used to it locker rooms not that dirty just cards at the entrance don't work somtimes anyway that's it
Fantastic experience: I've just joined on a platinum membership at just under £10 per week. I've used the extensive gym, enjoyed an excellent spin class and relaxed in the spa. I've yet to use the large swimming pools. It's not quite as plush surroundings as some of the more "upmarket" local health clubs but the equipment is excellent and everything works. I am very pleased I chose it.
Negative experience: Greedy and rude guy at the coffee shop on Saturdays. Be careful, he makes his own prices for coffee. Paid 2.90 for a coffee on a Saturday, the same coffee costs 2.30 on a Wednesday. His response - we don't make enough money...never going to buy anything from them anymore.
Positive experience: Big thank you to Nathan, who stayed after his work hours to show us the sports centre and give all the details and then helped us after the membership team tried to mug us off. Great employee. The centre is very nice, make sure you push them to give you all the membership details tho.
Negative experience: I just received an infuriating no reply Email from everyone active scolding me for not attending a booking when in fact I did attend and the turnstiles were not working and therefore my card could not be read. Highly unprofessional
Negative experience: Spoken to like a child. Doors hanging off lockers. Changing cubicles dirty, holes in walls and spa not not even ready for 10 as timed booked. Would taken 30min for saunas to heat up and that's in a hour time slot due to covid.
Negative experience: It's a shame I need to drive out of area to take my daughter swimming, but last week took her to bracknell leisure centre and its filthy. Visible black dirt around the edges, broken tiles at the steps. A screen pulled down by the kids pool looks disgusting...in total need of a facelift and some decent maintenance. Took her to the new Braywick today and was actually cheaper!
Negative experience: I signed up my daughter for their swimming lesson. She completed stage 1, and received her stage 1 completion certificate. And Week after, my daughter started stage 2, the new teacher - very unprofessional, decided to “Degrade” my daughter back to stage one! Despite all the effort we (parents) has to change our schedules to accommodate the new timeslot for new stage classes. I like their swim manager who responded to me to ensure the swim teachers will allow a few sessions for new stage learner to catch up with rest of the group. I hope this kind of incident won’t be happened again. Last, their Friday after school sessions are over-booked. there is not enough room to sit, and not enough changing room, and a long queue to get a shower!
Negative experience: They been shut so long they haven’t learnt how to answer the phone still!
Negative experience: This is my local centre and I visited the swimming pools last week. I was so disappointed with the temperature, it was freezing. As an adult, I didnt want to get in and my 1 year old was shivering the whole time and we had to leave. The baby pool was also closed, meaning he couldn't stand, sit or play. This may be due to covid but I'm not sure why it's closed. It's actually very boring with little to look at or do, having compared to Windsor and Braywick. This is so frustrating as it's 2 minutes away from me but unless the temperature is sorted, I won't be returning.
Positive experience: It’s not bad.
Negative experience: Try answering your phones to paying customers might help
Positive experience: Отличное место для занятия плаванием для всех возрастов, спортом, бадминтоном, есть также спа процедуры, парикмахерская и сауна.
Fantastic experience: Clare FOH manager was very nice and professional.
Negative experience: The only reason this place has got 1 star is because you have to give one but dont be fooled. My son started swimming lessons last August according to the membership you should get a swim cap which I am still waiting for (i wasnt really bothered initially however with the poor service i have received i would like to highlight this too). According to information on sign up we will receive progress reports on the app, it is now March and I am yet to receive any update on progress etc. Lessons never start on time and in a 30 minute session they probably spend around 20minutes of that standing around in the water. I'm aware some children need extra support however seeing children being given 1-1 time at the expense of my sons learning is really frustrating especially when he hasn't been given any and also struggles. I finally went to the membership office after a swimming lesson last week were I spoke to the duty manager of the leisure centre who assured me he would pass my details on to Jenny the swimming lessons manager and low and behold I amd still waiting a week later for this call. Absolutely terrible service and I will be ending sessions as of this mont^. I took my son for 1-1 sessions with swim expert which gave him a lot more confidence and consolidation of what he had been taught here but not necessarily given enough time to practice and build on. For the extra money it is much more beneficial than a money grabbing leisure centre who does not care about unhappy members yet want to increase the price. You can give it a face lift on the outside but that will not make it any more welcoming when you have unsympathetic and incapable staff. Oh and did I mention the states of the changing rooms absolutely disgusting and stink of urine.
Negative experience: No information about Saturday swimming on the website, no one will answer the phone!!
Positive experience: This has had a new refurbishment and looks fairly nice now! I think the staff are very pleasant indeed, the gym instructors are excellent and very helpful in my opinion.however I do feel that ever since everyone active has taken over it is almost impossible to book the classes you want, mainly in the evening as they are completely full to the max and can only hold so many people in each room. This has been the case for quite some months now and when I look to book online most of the classes in the evening are booked up weeks in advance so you are unable to book yourself on for weeks! Unfortunately the days I can’t get booked on to classes I like.I’m having to go elsewhere to find another class when I’m not able to get on to any at sports centre as I need/love exercise. So all in all as long as you have a back up plan for the times you can’t get on a class that suits you and are okay with it, then it can work, I am a pay and go customer so don’t mind?
Positive experience: It good for kids whoosh
Negative experience: Dont waste your time and money going here. Staff not helpful at all. Everything to much effort. Do not try and phone as they never seem to answer a call. Pool often closed, facilities terrible.
Fantastic experience: Great place nice staff
Positive experience: The spa needs work doing to it. Reception staff are great
Negative experience: Since the centre is under new management this place got a lot worse. Booking courts is more challenging, front desk staff service deteriorated, their app is bad and calling the reception is a nightmare.
Positive experience: We come here for my 2 year old son's swimming lessons. Changing rooms and swimming pools are lovely and warm, very accommodating for little ones with images around the walls and ceilings of the pool (encourages them to lie on their backs while swimming). Our teacher Jane is fantastic - she is kind and patient and has massively helped improve our water confidence over the past few months. Really good value lessons - love that we can come any time in addition to our weekly lesson for free. Only downside (hence four stars) is that at the weekend the pool can get rowdy with other children and the changing rooms are often in a very shoddy state, so would not recommend to visit at this time with very young children but otherwise it's great!
Positive experience: It's a usual leisure centre nothing outstanding.
Positive experience: Pretty good but very busy
Positive experience: Bracknell Sports centre is a place for where people can go and enjoy themselves by doing activities. Such as swimming , running , tennis badminton and much more. It has a outdoor all weather running track. There is plenty of parking , plus ➕ disabled ♿ parking spaces as well. Also there plenty of public ⛣ transport that goes by the sports centre, also a train station near by. Staff are very helpful and they will always help you out with any of your problems big or small.
Positive experience: Good for my lengths in the competition pool but seems unfair I pay £25 a month and most people come threw the disabled door for free as it's open all the time.and their is certainly nobody doing to challenge you.
Positive experience: The pools are pretty good, staff knowledgeable, but it shocks me that in 2019 they have only one shower facility which is shared by men, women and kids alike. Really??? And how are we expected to wash out the chloride ? Just impossible! So it's to go there, do your thing, dry yourself and put on something which does not mind the chloride and stains, drive home, and start again. It would be so easy to fix, but it feels to me that there is no will to think or act.
Negative experience: I pay 30 quid a month to access over 100 24/7 gyms across the country. At Bracknell leisure centre you pay 30 quid to be told you can't swim on Tuesdays and the pool closes at 8....
Fantastic experience: Clean.
