Negative experience: I’ve had a terrible experience at this gym. The place is extremely dirty, and the equipment is barely functional—most of the machines don’t even work. The worst part was when I was in the middle of showering after a workout, and the water suddenly stopped. Completely unacceptable. The staff are rude, but honestly, I don’t blame them. It seems like they’ve given up after dealing with so many complaints. Overall, this gym is poorly maintained, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Avoid it if you can.

Fantastic experience: Nice location for swimming, gym and indoor sports like Badminton and others. Quite a place for meeting people, having a break from work life. Good to have local sports leisure centre for community. Strong WiFi if you don't miss your social networking.

Negative experience: Highlights include: A roulette experience on whether there is running water on the day. Water may stop without notice and not return for the day whilst already soaped up and in the shower (yes, it happened)! Water is either ice cold or kettle scorching hot (personally, I am surprised there has been no reports of first-degree burns). Rinse-off showers found on the sideline of the main pool are out of order with hazard tape across them multiple times a week. Water trickles out the taps in the male bathroom/changing room. I have to fill my water bottle up in the main gym in order to wash many hands. There were no male changing room lockers for over two years (granted, this has now been rectified). I arranged a gym induction on two separate occasions. On both occasions I turned up on time and reported to the gym (as instructed by reception). Not a single staff member was present (I remained in the gym and worked out for over an hour). Not a single staff member showed. I was told upon signing up that I could bring a guest for a trial (which I did). My guest was hounded with phone calls from the Membership Team (which began the following morning on a Sunday pre 9am and would continue to occur multiple times a day). It got so bad that I had to go to the membership desk in person and request that this individual was left alone. Door handles, fixtures and tiles in the swimming pool changing room are mouldy. If it can be avoided, for your own psychological well-being, refrain from using the toilets. I’ll let you use your imagination. If you’re one of the unfortunate individuals that has already seen them first hand then you have my sympathies. Equipment that was broken when I signed up remains broken to this day i.e. one of the two StairMasters (yes, that means there is only one available). I have cancelled my membership. The reception staff are friendly, polite and compassionate on the above and I appreciate that the majority of the issues listed are not their fault. However, the reception staff are let down by a poor operator (Everyone Active) and local authority (Slough Borough Council). They are poor figuratively (zero concern or care) and literally (clearly cash strapped). The value proposition vs. the membership fee is a joke.

Negative experience: Not so clean overall. A lot of hair on the floor especially in the toilets and "womens only" gym, empty spray bottles to clean the equipment .Joined centre few months ago and never seen cleaning person. I consider end my membership due to no feeling comfortable to working out in the dirt.

Negative experience: Review of Gym Star 0: ★☆☆☆☆ If unlimited problems and filthiness had a combined had word it should be called everyone active centre slough. I really suggest that anyone thinking about joining this gym should check the changing and shower rooms first. It's very important to make sure the gym is clean because, here, it is not. The showers were too hot or too cold also , there was a strong smell of urine in the changing room, and that made me worry about how clean it was. Sadly, my daughter after her swimming lessons needed toilet got a urinary infection, and I think it might be because of the dirty conditions. From the first day, I reported it to customer service As ay first, I thought these problems were just one-time things, but it never changed. Avoid at all cost.

Fantastic experience: Great place to keep.fit and spend time with family. Good swimming pool, lovely gym and women only gym available :) my kids enjoy the badminton sessions too. Lots of parking available but can be hard at peak times

Negative experience: The worst service ever no one ever answers calls and no one ever helps when in difficulty was on the phone over 20 minutes as you can see on the attached photo it has a fake answer machine messge that they are extremely busy but when I went in people were sitting at reception and not busy at all still didn’t. Answer absolutely annoyed

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Aqua Aerobics sessions on a Tuesday since February 24. I find reception staff very friendly and helpful. The changing rooms are clean but like most places especially if busy the changing rooms can be left with rubbish or forgotten items. The lockers recently have been taken by other users they leave items in the lockers, but don't lock it. The small teaching pool, temperature can be just nice and warm to being on the slightly cooler side, which was nice during the summer months. The teacher of the Aqua Aerobics sessions makes the 45 min class enjoyable and keeps us motivated. The Lifeguards are extremely helpful I'm disabled and walk with sticks, after a 45 minute class my legs are like jelly and this means I'm unable to get out safely. The lifeguard helps me by supporting me so I can stand safely, some of the lifeguards walk with me into the changing rooms ensuring I don't slip, find me an empty changing room whilst trying to get my stuff from my locker. Being disabled I feel that I'm in a safe environment everything is accessible and any concerns all staff members are helpful.

Positive experience: Just what u expect from a leisure centre, dirty changing rooms, slippery floors, taps with little to no water pressure, water machine on poolside trickles and takes 7 minutes to fill a 500ml water bottle £30 a month gets u a swimming online membership which is decent if u are a regular however they have much to approve

Positive experience: Reasonably managed gym with less than reliable facilities. Hygiene and cleanliness severely lacking in standards (Loos are just icky most of the time with water stains on walls, doors and stalls; ladies shower has scalding hot water only unless you use the disable stall which is the ONLY one with a temperature control). During summer months, all air conditioning is turned off 30 minutes before closing time as part of some strange 'green' initiative. Not a 24 hour gym. My advice: Good for going in with very low expectations. Classes are good. Pricing model comparable to med-high end gyms. Access to booking other locations for classes a definite plus. Only good thing are the staff members and class instructors, who will try to assist you to the best of their abilities and remit.

Positive experience: I go auqa swimming here when i can get booked in, the pool area dose a lot of lane swimming and school classes as i see them arrive a few times as i leave. There is a gym area courts for squish and tenneis you have 2 scan in to go though to were u have booked in. Should u ask them on reception 2 let u though make sure on ur way out that thay have u down as being there as it will go down as not attened and u will b fined as i found out.other then that it a nice place 2 keep fit

Negative experience: Only half of the lights in badminton hall are working and each week a few more lights are becoming faulty. No one is taking accountability on it and it’s has become passing the parcel between Everyone Active and the Council. It’s becoming dangerous to play here day by day.

Negative experience: On several occasions I have now found the staff very unhelpfull and when I complain the manager is just as unhelpfull they seem to have cannot give a shit attitude. I will be cancelling my family membership. Extreamly dissappointed

Positive experience: Good place with poor service

Fantastic experience: I only used it for swimming but it is excellent. Clean and reasonably priced.

Negative experience: The staff informed me that they don't have a spot for the beginners swim classes. Pathetic, running such a huge leisure centre and they don't have spot for swimming. I would never ever recommend anyone. Pathetic.

Fantastic experience: I attend classes at The Centre quite regularly and have always found the variety available to be suitable for my needs. I particularly enjoy the body pump classes on a Thursday morning with Harry and also his boxercise class before pump. I am so happy now that the boxercise class on Thursday morning is back on the timetable again as I have missed it during August. It is a fabulous class for both building my stamina and for my mental wellbeing as it allows me to release my stress in the session. Thank you for putting it back on the timetable, I can't wait to attend when it starts again.

Negative experience: Baught a gym membership for my son at 20 pound a month but charged me 40 one month and 80 the next asked for my money back and said to go to the manager the manager and workers left on me and i am 120 down and cant get my money back i am begging you dont fall for their scam workers are useless unresponsive say there is always a gym worker watching over them but my son said out of 5 visits there was not one worker horrible place there is other facilities near by that wont scam you

Negative experience: Very disappointed today to hear one of my friends daughter who is 11 was drowning in the big pool and while no life guard stepped in and watched her, only a standby customer helped from the sauna and saved her as the female life guards continued to look at their phones, talking away to each other they were not bothered standing on the far side of the pool not motering the deep side in case kids wonder that way, a very distressing incident...my children where traumatised to see this and were still calling for help....she was finally pulled out crying and hysterical...no help what so ever....their job is to supervisors the ladies and children to help keep them safe...everyone was not impressed....happened today friday evening 7:30pm - 8:30pm ladies and kids time.

Negative experience: The Centre at Slough, never answers calls. I have been trying to call since more than an hour but still no one answering the calls.

Positive experience: Great venue only issue is every now and then roof leaks. Here in UK most of the time rain so it would be good if management can look into.

Negative experience: Enrolled for my 3 year old kid. The service adviser told £94 as fee for 7 classes and took card for payment but also setup direct debt without my consent and knowledge. On 1st july when money was deducted from account, visited center to ask why and for what services direct debt was setup, they have no reply and instead of refund money told me to claim back from bank under indemnity. About trainer for 3 year old kid, he doesn’t know how to treat with kid. He was so rude and emotionless. When complained at reception, trainer started speaking lie. Escalated the matter to manager, trainer refused to speak and replied to look for cctv footage. Requested manager for cctv footage, manager started to ignore and stood up with trainer and start blaming us.

Fantastic experience: Very good

Negative experience: A pig sty is cleaner than this place. Also the staff are never on time for scheduled lessons and still finish the lesson on time despite starting 5/10 minutes later

Positive experience: Good classes but loos smell and swimming pool changing rooms not clean, facilities such as water fountain, steam room some gum equipment often not working

Negative experience: Worst place. None of the so called swim teachers know swimming. Avoid this worst place in UK. Arrogant staff and irresponsible management.

Positive experience: In this car turning area, unclear initial lane markings were later painted over, creating confusion for drivers. Clear and consistent markings are essential for a safe and functional turning area. School boy mistakes and cowboy fixes.

Fantastic experience: Had a physio appointment at EMPIRE PHYSICAL THERAPY. It is situated in the centre building . The staff in both the centre and EMPIRE THERAPY were polite, professional, friendly and helpful. Could not fault them.

Positive experience: When i got the membership it said full access to gym and now when i went there they told me i cant use any dumbbell or barbell because im too young yesterday no one said anything but today one of the trainers told me im too young

Positive experience: I only take my kids swimming lessons here and on the whole not too bad. seems to go wrong when staff leave and takes a while to sort out

Negative experience: My boys go swimming lessons every Friday, the lockers and showers are disgusting hair scum everywhere, and today my youngest needed toilet so she was taken to seating area disabled toilet upstairs and there was poo all over toilet was flooded coming out of the top, then we went to the disabled toilet and men’s toilet by the lifts and again there was poo and urine all round toilet, also flooded, then went to the men’s toilet by the main pool and again poo urine and toilet paper everywhere, we approached somebody and we told them but they weren’t bothered, this is awful I pay £43 a month for each of my children for swimming lessons and have to bath them at home and can’t even use toilets while waiting for lessons to finish, go and find yourself a decent cleaner, only good thing about centre is my boys swim teachers are lovely Charlie and kamel. Lessons keep going up in price but yet the cleanliness is not sort it out.

Negative experience: Staff and instructors are great - friendly, helpful and professional most of the time. Attendants can be disorganised at times - knowing which swimming session is taking place, providing pool access to visitors with mobility issues. However, the standard of cleanliness has been very poor for a year or so and continues to deteriorate - dedicated cleaners are definitely needed. Same dirt in cubicles for weeks/months. Gym and studio floors are filthy with dust and debris. Water pressure in the building was terrible when the building opened and hasn't changed much. Showers that aren't completely limescaled don't work very well due to lack of water pressure or the water temperature ranges between freezing cold and pleasant. Ladies only swimming sessions have been changed to mother and child. Unless you're prepared to go swimming first thing, it's difficult to find a swimming session where you can swim peacefully without disruption. The car park is poorly managed and cannot accommodate the number of people visiting . It's almost impossible to find a space sometimes and this issue is worse when the school close by has an pupil event. During the winter, the car park lights haven't always worked, making it difficult to see where you're walking. Could be a great venue if managed better and treated better by other users. So disappointing.

Negative experience: Would give 0 if I could. Was harassed today and another day. The reason was Messing around in the pool. I pushed my friend in the pool 2 times and bam they kick me out. Especially the duty manager who is a complete jerk and has no life. He called the police on me so I could leave . Never coming here again or I probably will. Most of the staff are good but the manger who wears black all the time and is ginger only harasses kids. I came back to make a formal complaint but denied me. I will write up a compliant.

Fantastic experience: Used the court to play badminton. Prepaid session.

Positive experience: As a child my self I go swimming here the lockers are disgustingly dirty and filthy and the water temperature are abnormal but the teacher are well skilled and very respectful and they try there best . Some of the life guards specifically don’t stop children when they break the rules they are very un organised when it comes to lane swimming ext . But there a blessed community but sometimes they cancel and my mum is paying quite a fair but if money and the pool can be dirty sometimes but apart from that it’s very amazing

Negative experience: The receptionist on the membership desk at 6:00 on the 25th January 2024 attitude was absolutely repulsive, I understand that she is young but her attitude is comparable to that of a 5 year old she was condescending, argumentative and completely unprofessional and because of this I will not be returning to this gym and neither will the already existing members that recommended me to this gym. This is a poor look for the company and I hope this issue is resolved.

Positive experience: Had our courts cancelled last minute once or twice. Good facility however there's always something going on like karate which is a bit off putting

Negative experience: The Thing is i am member at the centre and everytime i went there the pool is not so cleaned there is so dust sitting on floor of the pool they don’t even clean pool everytime i go there i have been member there for a long time now and everytime it’s not cleaned and sometimes i book badminton court it’s leaking the roof is leaking and there is water everywhere please have a look at this

Negative experience: The worst place where you can take your kids for swimming lessons! Don’t west your time and money.

Negative experience: Embarrassment of a leisure centre, disgusting facilities, mens toilets are forever dirty, sports hall always seems to have issues with floor lights. The inside of the centre is generally dirty and appears people use it as as somewhere to sit. Car park has continuously has smashed glass all over the road and to add to it you can never get out of the centre by car as traffic is so bad onto the Farnham road. In general for a newish leisure centre it is very run down and I would just avoid going here. Positives don't have any unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: This is a great pool. Well priced. Everything you need to keep fit. Friendly place too.

Negative experience: Potential to be a great venue, and to be fair when it functions correctly it is. But the sports hall roof has been leaking and not fixed for over a year now, and we've had so many bookings cancelled because of rain! I'd understand if it was outside but this indoors. Not sure who is responsible Everyone or Slough Council; either way they both need to step up and fix it.

Negative experience: Ensuring the comfort and safety of all individuals, particularly children, during swimming lessons is indeed crucial. If the cold air in the swimming pool area is causing discomfort and making the kids shiver, it would be beneficial for the center to take measures to regulate the temperature and create a pleasant environment. Although the center has placed signs to inform customers about the temperature, it is equally important for the center to prioritize the well-being of its patrons. If a child does not feel comfortable, it would be fair for the center to consider canceling the lesson and providing a refund. This would demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction and their understanding of the importance of a comfortable learning environment.

Negative experience: Opening time on Saturday and Sunday 8.30 am is just ridiculously late..

Negative experience: You can't use swimming and sauna/ steam room anytime or all the time while it's opens! Can't access the swimming most weekdays! Monday to Friday from 3:30 onwards till 19:30 you can't access the swimming or sauna/steam room this needs to be rotated so it's fair for other members as this is my free time and I can't use the services! Also Friday evenings you can't use swimming on sauna/stream as its for women only but again should be rotated so its fair for other members. Can you let me know if this would be looked into and when? We should be allowed to use the sauna and steam room atleast Hygiene of the showers and toilet area is appauling

Negative experience: Went for a swim today 2/10/2023, the shower temperature freezing and the water temperature in the pool freezing. Felt sorry for school kids having to freeze in the pool and showers.

Negative experience: I took my young kids with me to The Centre on Farnham Road, Slough and when i got out my car all i could smell was canabis it was horriable, when I confronted these asian looking men they were dam out right rude, the centre is not a safe place to bring your children, equally inside you look at some of the other people using the gym or pool they look so high on some thing and they come across so intimidating. i reported this to the staff and they just said there is nothing they can do. I will be cancelling my membership and not returning here again. Very unsafe and high risk for young familes.

Positive experience: Good value for money. But sometimes too crowded

Negative experience: Swimming pool organisation is terrible. The lane swimming is not ready on time, people do whatever they want - jumping in, swim in wrong direction, staying in the middle and none of the lifeguard team seem to care. The saddest thing is that the management is aware of it and they don't care. Gym equipment not maintained properly, some equipment is broken, yet not labelled up Cleanness is a huge issue - it is just filthy - lockers room, toilets I can see the Slough Borough Council runs this place to the same standards they run the city To the management: are you proud of the place you manage?

Negative experience: This is the most misleading gym I have ever signed up too! I signed up at this gym because of the opening time hours. And I was told the wrong info by your membership team that they open 8am on Saturday and Sunday (gym) I am on a time crunch and I’m sure most of the members are at this time. And I get stopped at reception for them to tell me that it opens at 8:30! I am absolutely fuming! I am not going to even have a decent workout! This is not right! And the facilities are terrible! Not clean at all and the steam room is always broken! And when that’s broken the sauna is packed!

Fantastic experience: Booked 3 sessions of PT with Humaira and I’m so pleased with how it went! We trained at The Centre. Took me so long to book personal training as I was looking for the right person and I’m so glad I chose her. Learned so much, had fun and she really pushed me to my full potential. We also focussed on nutrition and she provided me with a copy of virtual recipe book which has so many amazing easy-to-follow recipes - absolutely loved trying them out. Humaira is so inspirational and encouraging so training is genuinely enjoyable. I honestly looked forward to every session we had. I highly recommend her for helping you to achieve your fitness goals ⭐️

Negative experience: Not sure how many people have had a great experience with this place. Joined the gym today and I am already claiming a refund after my first visit! The mens gym changing rooms were absolutely filthy - looked like they had never been cleaned since the place opened. The gym itself was overcrowded and the equipment was poor quality- the treadmills didnt even have a waterbottle holder and my phone fell out of the phone holder and I nearly broke it ://. Avoid this place!!!

Negative experience: I got a GP referral in May so I can join the referral scheme at the centre Slough . I have been trying since May to speak to the person who deals with GP referrals but I hear nothing from anyone . I have been there in person , spoke over the phone and left two emails but still haven’t heard anything back from anyone. I have been told by the lady manager that lady who deals with GP referrals has got my message but I have to wait for her reply and according to staff their is only one person who can give me an appointment to see them . Seems like these people don’t care about this .

Positive experience: Recommend downloading the app in advance so that you can book for swimming if you fancy. I tried going for a family swim only to realise it was fully booked for the day. Not soo fun when you turn up with a kid in a Spider-Man swimming costume….

Negative experience: As a parent swimming session for my child very expensive £5, it's very difficult to book swimming for child, they asked me to create a account for child. Mobile app should give an option to add family members on same account. I need to call 100 time to talk to them. Really Really poor communication wise. Disappointed as a local user. Management must look into improvements, App must be improve, customer service , answering calls must be improved, price high. Many more.

Positive experience: ok... we went swimming twice .... what I don't like. prices are extremely high over 7£ just for an hour's swim. season ticket stupid billing practises ... to make sure you give a month's notice they bill you for the last month upfront along with the first month and a joining fee... booking a place in a lane this is stupid , what as we did u find the ppl in the medium lane are to fast to keep up with and u have to switch to the slow lane ? makes no sense to me. what I did like very clean nice well kept pool fantastic staff very helpful and friendly

Negative experience: Great place for activities but poor customer services, no way you can contact them over the phone. As a local badminton academy very expensive to block bookings for badminton courts, they charge extra for us to utilise the venue, Very poor communication, So many restrictions for block bookings , and hard to communicate. Disappointed with their services.

Positive experience: Pool size is great, though not much space to swim in the lanes and the state of the pool floor needs cleaning People entering the pool area also need to follow the rules and take their shoes off so they don't drag the dirt / shards of broken glass

Negative experience: Booked a lane swim, there is no control with people swimming in the lanes, people go up and down as they please, stand in the middle. The lifeguards really need to enforce this more, impossible to enjoy swimming as I have to dodge people all the time.

Fantastic experience: Massive change in the management of The Center (Everyone Active) in Slough, I saw a huge improvement in the customer service sector with employees with more knowledge and sensitivity in dealing with their customers.
