Negative experience: I have a membership with the gym which I use regularly - first I should point out that I have generally had good experiences with the staff on duty. However the overall standard of the facilities is poor and seriously in need of improvement. The council has recently taken over management. Unfortunately, nothing seems to have improved so far and the facilities are falling into further disrepair. Why has the sauna been closed for 3 months because of a faulty door? A ceiling tile is out of position in the men's shower, and remains out of place for weeks - a simple case of anyone putting it back in position, yet nobody notices or bothers. Don't worry next time Im there I'll do it for you :) Similarly a towel sits for days discarded on a radiator - doesn't anyone check, isn't there lost property? it goes on.. It all suggests poor lackadaisical management and reflects very badly on the local authority's decision to take management of the facility back in hand - without implementing a decent and responsive management plan. I would love to remove this negative review and replace it with a hopefully 5 star review, which I will do if/when noticeable improvements begin to happen. With massive costs to the NHS from obesity and diabetes (not to mention the misery of these conditions), the government should be working hard and providing funding to local authorities to improve and expand leisure and fitness facilities. Its a 'no brainer' borrow now if needed, create jobs in the present to prevent the high costs of future NHS care. Alternatively, do nothing (because borrowing is bad) save in the present and pay even more in patient care costs in the future than you would in loan repayments. .

Negative experience: I swim at this centre three times a week, and unfortunately, the cleanliness is a serious issue that needs major improvement. - The indoors swimming pool floor and borders are constantly full of dirt and debris, which is unacceptable for a facility meant to promote health and hygiene. - The showers have visible mould growing across all sides, making them unsanitary and unpleasant to use. - The showers ventilation system is in poor condition, with dust and dirt visibly coming out of the vents. - The changing rooms are rarely cleaned. Unlike my experience at a previous Better centre (same membership price), where a cleaner would come around once every hour, I hardly ever see anyone maintaining the facilities here. This is a health hazard that needs urgent attention. A proper cleaning schedule and better maintenance are essential to make this facility safe and hygienic for all users.

Negative experience: Oh dear, what should be a cherished community resource is being wasted by lazy, disinterested staff whom I can only presume are a reflection of a management team who just don’t care! Today, a beautifully sunny day, they closed the lido and kicked everyone out. What should have been a lovely day by the pool was ended abruptly and having closed the pool for 2 hours they wouldn’t let people sunbath on the grass and wait for it to reopen. A lack of thinking and common sense and a total waste! Simply not good enough…… zero stars for the management!

Marios Konstantinidis 6 months ago

Negative experience: What a waste of this lovely outdoor swimming pool! But of course it is run by professionally incompetent people. Scandalous service. Unprofessional attitude who abuse their authority of handling and hiding behind a phone! We humans should not have feelings or the right to express our frustration on having our time and a sunny weekend wasted because of their incompetence. Robots have taken over already! Names no mentioned. Their website and App are sort of void or fake - how many times should I reset my password and still not be able to book a swim when there are 39 spaces available? Is this the well being promised by Haringey Lido at Park Road? They actually cause the opposite effect. Shame! Indeed what a waste of the Lido today and so very often.

Fantastic experience: Amazing pool staff just welcome amazing facilities place to relax enjoy swimming. The best place lido. Thanks very much all staff

Dominic 6 months ago

Positive experience: I really only review places that I find have been unfairly maligned. Although I've only been a member for two weeks, and since Haringey council taking over, I can attest that it's a beautiful (outdoor) pool, the mens change rooms are largely clean and the staff have been very helpful. Any downsides are off-set by the chance to swim out in the open at a fairly affordable rate. I've moved from a Better leisure centre that felt in comparison like a black mould deep breathing exercise. This is much more preferable and the leisure centre has exceeded (fairly low) expectations. My only gripe are not-fast swimmers being in the fast lane, but I won't die on that hill!

Sofia Aydınova 6 months ago

Negative experience: Stay away from this center. If you don't want to get sick, don't enter. The managers are not doing their job. The swimming instructor is a man, he has no knowledge. The worst experience I've ever had. I will never come to this pool again. I do not recommend it to anyone for your health. Don't waste your money!!!!!

Fantastic experience: This lido is an absolute gem. I love it

Fantastic experience: The leisure centre has undergone a transformation. The lovely Sabrina is now on the front desk answering phones and has helped me on several occasions to book classes and sign up to the app. I used to come here and no one answered phones and it was impossible to book, but things have really changed. I also love Arvin’s Zumba class. I smile for the whole hour. Thank you everyone.

Margarita Gerakaki 6 months ago

Positive experience: Great facilities, especially for gymnastics training but there are constant concerns in regards cleaness and unpleasant odours in toilets. Limited parking options. At the moment facilities are being remodelled, so hopefully things will change to better

Casselia Goldson 6 months ago

Positive experience: I have been using this facility for over a decade. Showers always have a problem. Sink in the ladies' changing room is always blocked. Not impressed by the cleanliness of this place. They increase the monthly payments and the level of service/facilities doesn't increase along with it. Front staff are friendly as always, swimming teachers are great at what they do (if you grt the good ones). Lido is good. Diving pool and sauna available. It's my local pool where my kids can learn to swim so I just come for convenience. They've recently changed management, so maybe things will improve.

Fantastic experience: I have been to the leisure center yesterday , And Sabrina at the reception was really helpful and professional . I was very pleased with her service .

Nurcihan BITKIN 7 months ago

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the swimming lessons at Park Road Pool, particularly the Grade 5 class. Despite attending regularly for nearly a year, there has been no progress to the next grade, and no feedback or guidance has been provided regarding areas that need improvement. The teaching in Grade 5 is unstructured and lacks the discipline and detailed corrections that were present in Grade 4. This has severely impacted the quality of the lessons and made it difficult for participants to improve even basic swimming techniques. Additionally, the lack of communication is unacceptable. Attempts to get information from the reception team or the instructor have been met with silence, often due to absences or holidays. This level of mismanagement is deeply frustrating and has caused a significant decline in motivation. I strongly urge the management to address these issues immediately by improving the quality of teaching, providing proper feedback, and ensuring clear communication with parents and participants.

Negative experience: Be careful signing up to this gym - they steal your money! I cancelled my membership in September and they kept taking out monthly deductions until January this year. Every time I emailed them they ignored me. Finally in December they “recognised” I had cancelled membership and were “sorry to see me go”! Sorry to steal 4 months of subscriptions illegally?! Terrible people.

Noha Hassaan 8 months ago

Positive experience: Got a great potential but not fully used. After haringey take over things had gone slightly better . But still more or less the same. There is a real issue with maintenance. Cleaning is a big issue too but half of it is due to ppl awarness. I think there should be more personnel and more ppl inside the facility to monitor also clients behaviour. Also , no real portal to access children progress.

katie glassbrook 9 months ago

Negative experience: Attended this gym for around 6 months, on a joint plan with my partner. The facilities themselves were okay (toilets are horrific), the Lido being the best thing about the gym, but the actual gym equipment was constantly out of use and broken. My main issue with the gym is that when trying to cancel it's a nightmare. Online it says to simply 'pop in' or 'call'. Being out of the area, I called multiple times when I wasn't working to no response so then left an email. After hearing nothing back, I left another one two weeks later, and then a week after that I realised it was coming up to the payment coming out of my account, so stopped the direct debit on my end and let them know that I wanted it cancelled and had stopped the money coming out. This email then had a swift response (of course), saying they don't advise that but understand the situation. The money still came out of my account. It's now been over a month since the initial email I sent, and other than trying to get through to them on the phone (which they reassured me it would get resolved, and still hasn't) the previous email from them has been the only email I have had back. Wouldn't recommend starting a membership with them purely for the hassle of trying to get it cancelled. (I'm still owed £85....)

Manuel 9 months ago

Negative experience: Can’t book lido. Emailed them and they don’t respond. They don’t pick up the phone. Classic Haringey council behaviour

Paul Lincoln 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: My 5 stars is for the young lady on reception, Jacky. I went in today to enquire about membership and Jacky dealt with me. She patiently explained about membership and the facilities and although I had no intention of joining today, she was so nice and helpful, with absolutely no pressure (which I appreciated) that I signed up. If the facilities are as good as the treatment I received today from Jacky, I will have no complaints. I am looking forward to my first visit.

Agro07 9 months ago

Negative experience: Really tired and run down place, especially the pool area. Hair driers in men's changing room? Not working. Steam room? Not working (for months). Showers in health suite? Not working. Come on, just call a plumber...

Michael Gilfoyle 10 months ago

Positive experience: Just one person on reception who was friendly but put under pressure as she had to answer lots of general enquiries and those who just wanted to be admitted to swim where getting frustrated and took their frustration out with the one who was simply handled the growing que. The que was not given a guide barrier and people were obstructing each as it's not made clear where to que. When a que is held up and grows management action to monitor then add staff or help to clear the delay themselves. A leisure centre run in a leisurely manner was my observation. I have not used the facilities yet so I have nothing to make a judgement on.

Javier Rico 10 months ago

Negative experience: Toddler swim classes get cancelled all the time, there is always something broken, with staff not being helpful and not apologising. A refund is not offered as an option. It has potential, but management is really poor

Joshua Hally-Milne 11 months ago

Positive experience: Reasonably priced, but filthy hopefully the council taking it back of fusion will fix the issues of cleanliness.

Positive experience: Outside lido nice for the Summer but gets very busy

Positive experience: The changing rooms, showers, and locker area could use some attention. They're not very clean.

Yolo Z 11 months ago

Positive experience: Totally relaxed and revitalising place as long as you are focused on your wellness goal.

C Townshend 11 months ago

Positive experience: So much potential with this Lido, if only the management could realise it. Hopefully when Harringay take it back over, all the issues from the current mismanagement will be solved and improvements made. Longer swimming sessions giving people time to swim and also give them time to sunbathe , buy food and drink from the snack bar. A snack bar that needs to be opened when the weather is good. The surrounding trees should be reduced in height to allow more sunlight to the lido area, particularly in the spring and autumn. Make the repairs to the lockers, a long ongoing problem. This could be one of the best and popular facilities in London, if it is properly run.

Lújza Blaha 1 year ago

Negative experience: I had my first visit in this leisure centre and I have to say it's very dirty and unpleasant. It has a good potential, very good swimming pools but the water purity is terrible! I don't know how often they clean the pools or change the water into(?!), but it was pretty disgusting! You can see dirt and hair floating on the water!! And kids will swim and might swallowed some water from.... I know everything is more expensive but for exchange for customer money they should clean it way more often!!!

Courtney 1 year ago

Negative experience: Decided to visit as our usual swimming spot was closed. The lido was a decent temperature and the lanes were busy but not overtly so. Cool spot with places to sit and lined with trees, and the pool is 50m, so you can go at a good pace. However, the changing rooms and areas around the lido were genuinely disgusting. The showers are covered in flies, yellow stains and mould - there are just bugs everywhere, and it is filthy all the way through to the outdoor area where the lido is. The water has a funny smell too in both the showers in the changing rooms and those by the pool. As many others have said, it seems such a shame that local facilities like these, with so much potential, are in such a state. I would certainly use it regularly if it was given the investment it so clearly needs and deserves.

Negative experience: No one answer phone. Cannot book. Friends said pool smelt like urine alot.

Negative experience: How is it possible that there is only 1 hour available per day to swim indoors? And not even every day of the week! Furthermore, during mid term, that hour is taken away for family swim.

Negative experience: I've woken up at 02.30 to write this as it had been playing on my mind and I feel all itchy. Took my daughter for an introductory swim lesson and her first experience to see if we shod join classes. It was atrocious. So filthy it was lworse than the polluted sea. I asked why it was like that and the lady told me it's cos of the new filter and I cannot believe its allowed. I've come up in a rash too and feel bad for my 7 year old as we were in our own there as the teacher didn't show up so we just went in by ourselves as I didn't want to let her down. Wish I just stuck to my guns and didn't go in. Even the lifeguard agreed how filthy it was and that I should report it.

Negative experience: Avoid this place at all costs! My husband and I did a joint membership there when we moved to Crouch End. Upon using the gym twice, we decided it was not for us. The facilities are old and dirty - the gym has a constant bad smell, a lot of the equipment is old and not well maintained. Same goes for the changing rooms... We decided to cancel our membership within the 14 days cooling off period, as stated in their T&Cs. We went to the front desk where an employee guided us step by step on the cancelation process (the employee was actually very nice). She told us we would be entitled to a refund of the month we paid upfront since we were still within the 14 days cooling off period. We chased the refund with their sales team a few times over email and never heard back. We finally managed to speak to two people in that team - on the phone and via email - who were completely unhelpful and beyond rude. They told us we were not entitled to a refund as we did not choose the "14 day cooling off period" on the online form & because we had canceled our direct debit. We explained that their employee guided us step by step, and we did exactly as we were told by their member of staff. Not only did they not care, they stopped replying after a few emails. We asked them to acknowledge our emails as we wanted to escalate the matter according to their escalation policy (avail. on their website) but neither of them replied. An overall horrible experience which now explains why the Council has revoked the Fusion contract.

Positive experience: good lido, not so busy but need to book in advanced,

Kate Szkolny-Apsey 1 year ago

Negative experience: I booked 2 swims on Boxing Day 2023; I was issued booking confirmation and the money was taken out of my bank account. When I turned up the centre was shut and Park Road did not issue any cancellation notice. This was highly frustrating as it was Christmas bank holiday. 8 months on and I am still chasing a refund! Park Road have essentially robbed me of 16 pounds and the staff/general manager don't seem to care.

Josseline Cobos Tumbaco 1 year ago

Negative experience: Would like to complain that on the 12th August at 15:40pm lido session the members of staff would turn people away but they would get into the pool themselves, a member that said she was the manager, blonde hair, wore black shorts and a grey top. She would tell everyone to follow the rules but she would be in the pool during this session saying swear words, diving and none of the other lifeguards would say anything, all this during a family session.

Camila Pires 1 year ago

Negative experience: The kids swimming lessons are cool but there were so many times my baby and I were freeezing cold. They always said the pool was cold because the boiler was broken and they would fix soon but it was never fixed as the water was always cold through the winter

Negative experience: FUSION AND HARINGEY SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED AS TO THE CONDITION OF THE GYM AND TO CHARGE MEMBERSHIP FEES. MOST EQUIPMENT IS NOT WORKING AND THERE IS DUST OVER ALL THE NOTICES. Air conditioning is broken and leaks in the roof when it rains

Rhiannon Flint 1 year ago

Negative experience: Booking form booked the wrong date for outdoor swim (when I can’t go) and I rang up to politely ask about changing the date and the customer service lady was so rude, straightaway in an aggressive tone saying I will lose my money without even trying to help. This would’ve been my first time going and now definitely won’t go.

Madalina Corduneanu 1 year ago

Negative experience: So far not worth the money. Signed up for swimming classes and while it's cheaper than other local options, the classes have up to 10 kids per teacher per session (fine), but: - shortage of staff means your baby will end up in the large pool in cold water - classes get frequently cancelled (twice in 4 weeks) very short notice - classes get swapped and if your toddler is afraid of going in the big pool even though the contract says they should go in the small, warm swimming pool, you don't get a replacement lesson. - poor management means if you call for support you don't get placed in a queue but the line gets cut off and you have to redial ad infinitum like it's the 90s

TWINSPIRATION A & J 1 year ago

Negative experience: there is no doubt it is a wonderful pool great size and aesthetically pleasing. However, the desperation to suck as much money out of the local community as possible has led to a lack of community. you have to pay £8.50 per person for a two hour slot and that’s if you actually get there on time and served on time which is very rare as there is always a queue and only one person staffing the tills. lots of prepubescent teenage lifeguards who enjoy telling you not to dive into the diving pool. they need to improve the vetting process of figuring out who has made bookings and who hasn’t and letting people in as quickly as possible since they have ruined the experience by cutting it down to 2 hours slots which is over in a heartbeat. there is no doubt the pool is nice on a sunny day but the process surrounding entry and remaining in the place is a pain in the arse to be frank.

Negative experience: Very bad experience, rude staff, discussing water, saw a lil po*p floating. I would definitely not recommend!

Edmundas Maiga 1 year ago

Negative experience: The place has potential and certainly has seen better days. Every time I visit, something is broken, not working and there is a certain feeling of desperation. Staff at the reception are doing what they can, but there is a strong push towards membership which comes across as a bit too intense. It was great weather (hot) when I visited last two times, but no cold drinks or snacks were served next to the outdoors swimming pool. Assuming you guys have financial issues, that's a huge opportunity missed for extra turnover and hopefully profit. I don't know what's going on with the management and owners, one could speculate, that the business is run down to its knees on purpose, in order to sell the land for some property developers.

Denise 1 year ago

Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It is indeed a beautiful space, however the lack of professionalism and the rudeness I was greeted with from members of staff it's absolutely disgusting. First of all, they could not find our family booking in the system which took half an hour out of our time that we paid for to spend on the leisure centre. There was no guidance on whatsoever and it was a completely waste of time. We were in the outdoor pool for literally 10 minutes, when the members of staff announced us they are doing training with children and teenagers which was never announced in advance nor on the app or on website. We had to leave the centre within 15 minutes after we paid for a family's session. One member of staff was yelling and shouting at my daughter to take her toys off the floor which I found completely inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour. We left and wasted our whole day. We are waiting for a refund which I can guarantee we are not going to receive.

Egg Head 1 year ago

Negative experience: To the silly cow who shouted at me for getting into the pool with no life guards. Isn’t it your job to make sure they are pool side and watching the swimmers, NOT ME! Then again the state of your pool is the worst I’ve seen.

Olivia&Alex 1 year ago

Negative experience: Awful, their cancellation policy is that you cannot cancel bookings. What is worse is that they hide this information, certainly it is not disclosed at time of booking nor is it easily visible in the terms and conditions.

Little Miss 1 year ago

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership within 14 day cooling off period- STILL haven't received my refund after 3 months!!!- no response to my emails from management Definitely would NOT recommend this facility. I am actually having to pay a solicitor to start legal process in order to get MY money back. Absolutely disgraceful.

Negative experience: My family has been using the pool for tha past 30 years. I like the area, the people who go there. It used to be such a nice place. The way it has been managed, especially for the past couple of years, is beyond my understanding. I use sauna regularly, and I dont remember the last time that everything worked. Its either steam or sauna, the door, the showers or icemachine that don't work and the repairs take at least a month, that's if we are lucky. Summer came, and that used to mean the lido full of families and it was great place to go, especially as there is so few lidos around. Especially the weekends were packed an children loved it. Currently the chance of booking a weekend slot for the lido resembles the the one of winning a lottery. And as I swam in the indoor pool yesterday and looked outside on a sunny lit lido, there was handfull of people in there. There is something seriously wrong with either the agenda behind such mismanagement, or the people in charge, because to misuse pemises with so much potential should be criminal in my opinion.

Negative experience: What a waste of outdoor pool space, and facilities for the local community due to poor management! There are few stuff members that are lovely people, annd great professionals for sure. Nevertheless, alongside with all the hygiene and maintainance issues that been already mentioned by other users, which is true I experienced and observed discrimination, obusive and intimidating behaviour from both reception and management's stuff. Unauthorised payments, lack of professionlism, missleading information, refusal to sort out basic issues with bookings, rudeness and incompetence of the stuff are some of the issues. Months of waiting for issues to be resolved by the management, I been following this up with receptionists, teachers for a while to understand that there is absolute chaos in their bookig system, and working system. I feel for those people who work there who actually are nice people, and good professionals. I've been charged all this waiting months for the issue to be looked in and resolved, and instead of apologies I received rude comments about myself, with no accountability. Some cancelled lessons been provided for us to use, yet months of memberships payments that were coming out of my DD, wile we could not use the swimming classes were never refunded. Moreover some of the teachers are unequipped to provide a safe and joyful environment, resulting with young children crying, and refusing to attend the classes. On one ocassion my young child was terrified of the teacher who instead of reassuring the 4 year told her that she cried for no reason. As I was on my way to pick my child up after this comment, the teacher told to stop crying or she would not let her come to me (!!!) leaving her to feel panich and terror! This is rather shocking. The manager blamed my child and acused us of lying with no accountability for this. Continuisly cancelled classes with no notice, no refunds or substitude lessons. With the attitude of 'you are just a client, so stay silent' (!!), I am left to wonder how this can still being validated as a 'CUSTOMER service'. I truly believe that we all deserve better then this.

Negative experience: I'm disappointed with Park Road Pools & Fitness Centre, Brand standards are below average with the following issues that need addressing: Changing rooms are dirty, Showers are infested with drainage flys, Steam room never seems to be working, Countless broken tiles throughout the centre and a Large number of lockers are broken. This is just some of the issues that I've highlighted and sincerely hope that the management address them.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely 5 star Hammer Horror show! This once beautiful public amenity famous throughout North London for its heated lido is being deliberately and perversely run-down to suit an agenda (like property redevelopment maybe!?) who the Hell are Fusion ? Wake up Haringey Council. Read these comments: not one positive report. Sack the quasi-delinquent ogres you employ as staff and get rid of Fudion ad they don’t satisfy one tenet of Customer-Care. This is our (Londoners’) amenity and we want it back. Local MP is a Labour front row minister in waiting: Do something useful please!!!

No floats or anything provided not that I would use with the hygiene of this establishment. Baby pools water wasent even that warm either. Needs cleaners going round every hour at least collecting rubbish and hair and whatever else floating. Dirty hair all washed up along the sides absolutely rotten my poor baby

Negative experience: Good facilities, poor management. Great lido, pool and gym if you have the membership, but near impossible to arrange day entry. Website is poorly maintained and unreliable. Reception staff have been rude and unhelpful on a number of occasions. Such a shame because the facilities are decent.

Georgina Moore 1 year ago

Negative experience: Only used the indoor pool. It's fine but not in a good state of repair. There's chipped and broken tiles around the pool and on the steps with mould visible too. The bottom of the pool did not look clean either. They had overbooked the lane swim as there was a school session ongoing at the time taking up most of the pool. This meant there was about 12 of us crammed into 1 lane until the rest of the pool became available The women's changing rooms smell unpleasant, toilet and sink area not particularly clean and the lockers smelt of stale cigarette smoke. The keys on the lockers are not attached to a band to attach to yourself. Luckily I had a waterproof watch so I threaded the keyring onto that. There is considerable black mould on the ceilings in the shower area. Showers are hot and have good pressure though. Unfortunately, none of the hairdryers work - it's not great in the winter having to leave into the cold with wet hair. The whole place has a general tired worn out feel, it definitely needs some money investing into it to make it a nicer and more hygienic environment.

D Duong 1 year ago

Negative experience: Booked a Swim Lane session not realising 1) How small the lane space would be (about equivalent of two short lanes) 2) They book too many people for an hour's session (8 including myself in this tiny lane). Impossible to swim much faster than a very slow breast stroke with that many people and not enough space. After half an hour, I gave up and left as it didn't seem worth it. If you're only looking for a gentle swim and don't mind a lot of people in a small space then book a Swim Lane session, but if you want actual space and to be able to swim quickly/exercise vigorously, the lido's probably better from the look of things (have not actually used it). Changing rooms aren't great. None of the hairdryers in the female changing area were working and according to a visitor I spoke to, they haven't been working for a long time. And in the unisex changing area (not talking about the toilets, I mean the actual changing area), there was a constant and pervasive smell of pee. I only tried this place because I thought I wouldn't be able to go to Southgate Leisure Centre for their general swim session this weekend and they don't have general sessions on the weekdays (or at least not at a good time for me). Frankly, though, I'm not keen to come back here.

Positive experience: Reviewing the Lido only as I don't use the rest. The pool is well heated throughout the winter and it's lovely to swim there. Booking through the app is simple and without a membership it costs 8£. The changing facilities could be better, cabin locks are gone and floors are a bit dirty, but I put up with it as the pool really is great. Lanes are wide and not usually too busy, outdoor showers functional and warm.

Aman 1 year ago

Positive experience: The Lido is amazing, but all of the other facilities are so poorly maintained. The changing rooms and showers are filthy and the gym has had multiple leaks from the roof which haven't been fixed.

Positive experience: Outdoor pool: Fantastic, heated all round and great for lane swimming. Absolutely brilliant facility to have locally. Website: Laughably bad, super slow and frustrating to use. An exercise in how not to build a website. *edit* - After reading recent app reviews I thought I'd try that, to avoid the website. Installed OK and first attempt booking ended with 'service not available'. Uninstalled. *sigh* *2nd edit - Nov 2024* - Fusion Lifestyle got the push it seems, and they're no longer running this centre for Haringey. And so their terrible website is no more... hopefully the Haringey site will be much easier to use..

Negative experience: Worst customer service ever! I booked parent/baby swimming lessons. Within a few weeks there was an issue with the baby pool meaning the temperature wasn’t sufficient so lessons were getting cancelled. They tried to move them to the main pool but couldn’t get that warm enough either. I am now owed for 5 cancelled lessons and cannot get a response from anyone regarding getting a refund. It seems you cannot achieve anything unless you go in person but then you are told they are not able to process such requests. I had be warned about the service prior to booking but didn’t imagine it would be this bad. The only reason I have given two stars rather than one is the swimming teacher (Stella) was great. The sooner Haringey switch to Better the better!

Negative experience: I just paid for membership to use the Lido and was advised you have to book everything online through their app now. Which was fine at the weekend, but now I've discovered despite the 'opening times' on google being till 9pm that the lido is actually only open from 8am - 3.15pm in the afternoon which is totally useless if, like most people, you have a job. So I guess I'll be cancelling. Would also add that whilst the pool is fine, the showers are pretty grotty with mould etc and the sauna feels like it might collapse at any moment. Wish Better would take this place over and give it the love it deserves.

Negative experience: No advertising of changed opening times in between Christmas and New Year? - just arrived and whole complex locked on Friday 29th Jan at 6pm Friday post work? Poor communication and also poor access for Haringey residents how are we meant to stay active?

Gene Linetsky 1 year ago

Positive experience: Five star facilities + one star back office service = 3 stars overall. I would assign zero blame on the client-facing people working at the club and 100% on the seemingly incompetent Fusion management. Rumour has it that Fusion will be losing their contract with Haringey Council. I can't wait!!!

Stella 1 year ago

Negative experience: Nice pool but getting a call back when you leave an enquiry message on their voicemail is awful. They NEVER call you back and I've left two messages. Extremely poor customer service in call backs.

Miles 1 year ago

Negative experience: 5 stars for the lido 1 star for the main pool. Biohazard. Broken showers, smell of urine in the changing rooms, rubbish everywhere and mould on the walls. Training pool is great but rarely actually open (1/2 hours a day). Such a shame because it probably was once great and well maintained - Fusion running it into the ground. Needs money spent on it.

Negative experience: The manager at this centre is horrible, she has a terrible attitude I would give 0 stars if I could, the staff member is a liar I think she is too scared of her manager to talk the truth. The manager needs to refresher on customer service she lacks empathy and has no idea to speak to adults or kids. I have paid for swimming lessons and I'm deeply sadden that I have to remain here with my daughter till the new year. As they would not issue me a refund. There only saving grace is the swim instructor a lovely young lady who eventually made my stressed out 10 year old feel at ease. If it was not for her I would count the £65 I paid a loss and never return.

Sam Heffron 1 year ago

Positive experience: 5* for the lido but 0* for customer service, so 3* seems fair. If you ever have a problem with membership, getting in contact with anyone at Fusion is a nightmare of navigating call centres, anonymous email addresses or the app to which there is never any response. Truly Kafka-esque. If the pool wasn’t so amazing there is no way I would be a member here.

Negative experience: Unfortunately witnessed a poor woman and her son get abused by other visitors . Told staff member Dana Austin but nothing was done , to my surprise she actually kicked the poor woman and her son out as the other visitors were making a fuss and apparently are friends with the owner. Really sad to see do not recommend.

Yagmur Parlak 2 years ago

Negative experience: When booking online it says nothing about an adult already being included until you pay and get the confirmation email. Made us pay an extra £6 and don’t want to give a refund. DANA AUSTIN needs to be gone aswell very very very terrible staff

Leyla Parlak 2 years ago

Negative experience: DANA AUSTIN she was so rude to my sisters and brother. She doesnt deserve to work there. She didnt let us in the pool, shes so unprofessional and disrespectful. She needs to get fired. She was shouting to the autistic kid and she triggered the kid and he had an attack.

madinna 2 years ago

Negative experience: Not only are the staff members , specifically the lifeguards disrespectful to austic kids ,they are extremely racist. The blonde lady who works in the pool area told a few black kids to go back to their country. Appaling!

Negative experience: one star is toooo generous of me. the receptionist was racist and down right disrespectful. she was so rude to all customers and triggered my special brother into having an episode because of her attitude and tone of voice, she was so inconsiderate about the other kids around and was shouting at all customers and talking to them with her arms up and walking away. claims to work there for 28 years however no customer service was done. all the customers came to us to help and told us they will not be returning. The manager Nisa was so down to earth and ready to help us out with any problem. a raise to her however DANA AUSTIN this review is all about you! change yourself!

Negative experience: I have mixed feelings. pro: it's got diving pools. con: it has high wall pool boundaries pro: it has a lido con: because its a lido, its only nice in the summer, but... pro: the lido is heated con: the baby pool is kinda lame pro: deckchairs con: the fountains are NEVER on so yeah it's OK but I would recommend just to get the bus to Alexandra Palace Station and get the train to highbury and Islington, because highbury fields is just a better pool.

Positive experience: I went at lunchtime during the week and it was busy but it was mostly adults and there were a lot of swimmers but everyone (in the fast lane anyway) got on with it. £8 is a lot for a 30 minute swim though, hopefully once the council gets rid of Fusion a fairer pricing structure will be put in place.

L Singer 2 years ago

Negative experience: They owe me money as I was charged twice for one booking but it is impossible to reach ‘customer services’ and they aren’t responding to my emails. The whole place needs a major revamp, and to echo the other review here - many of the staff (the main older woman in particular, on a power trip) clearly need to be retrained (or maybe moved out of a public facing role!).

Chloe Norburn 2 years ago

Negative experience: Very dirty and unhygienic pool. As soon as you enter the changing rooms, everywhere from that point on smelt strongly of urine. The showers were also mouldy.

Positive experience: Lots of reviews seem to be related to the lido on a sunny day so I thought I'd add a "I just wanted a swim" review. Hadn't used the pool in years. Went to the website, booked a 8.30am slot for swim lanes (£5.50 or similar). No membership needed. Turned up at 8.30am on the dot, no queues, showed my booking confirmation email at reception, smiley person on reception let me through, got changed (£1 for the locker)... swam for my allotted 50 mins, showered, got my £1 back, left. Seemed nice enough. Pool was clean. Wasn't busy at 8.30 anyway. Negatives? Some of the showers didn't work. Some of the lockers were out of order. There was almost no cycle parking as they spaces seemed to be taken up mostly with abandoned bikes. The website could be clearer (especially about whether you needed a membership or not, which you don't). I did phone to check, nobody answered. But other than that, perfectly fine for a public pool. People don't tend to review unless it's horrific or brilliant, but my experience was just nice and simple. I suspect if you go there on a hot day at a busy time during a school holiday and expect it to be Holmes Place, you may not have the same experience.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting this place today for a swim at the Lido , Was a very pleasant enjoyable experience. Clean facilities, Only down side would be that they nearly double to swim outdoors.

Fantastic experience: Lovely lido heated big pool and a baby pool. U get a 2 hour slot which u have to book online. Also a little hut cafe to get hot paninis, crisps, ice-creams and drinks hot or cold!!

Fantastic experience: Very nice outdoor pool, gym is a bit small, indoor pool often closed for swim school. Everything needs to be booked other than gym even if your a member

Callum Rogers 2 years ago

Negative experience: There has been much wrong over the months I've used the pool - but yesterday morning really crosses a line. With no notice or communication, they started requiring wristbands for swimming. This may have been fine if they had an email or even a sign, but they literally let people get in the pool, swim for a bit, then haul them out and demand they get a wristband from the front desk. This is if you can even book. 95+% of sessions are booked out a week in advance. The pool is half closed and limited to 25 people per hour (compared to the previous 70). The fastest lane of the half open pool is very narrow meaning it's very hard to overtake, and even with 25 people is overcrowded. Its practically impossible to use the pool or get your money's worth. It's a real shame as the actual lido itself is very nice. Just the organisation around it is disastrous.

Fantastic experience: I visited this center for the first time today. I booked to use the steam room and I enjoyed it and found it most relaxing. Very hot but lovely to keep popping out to cool down with the enclosed showers. I found the room is a little small. The shower facilities were good and clean. Look forward in trying the sauna when it's fixed hopefully soon

Rebecca Costa 2 years ago

Negative experience: Poor service. No toilet paper in toilets. Was stuck in the sauna and couldn't get out. The door was jammed. The staff don't care, and I tried to get a gym member called 6 weeks ago and only received a call back today. You also have to pay to use the parking even if you are paying to use their facilities. Definitely dong recommend and wouldn't go again. Asked about swimming lessons, gym membership and reception staff didn't have a clue. First impressions count!

SCOTT Horton 2 years ago

Negative experience: I took my 12 yr old grandson swimming as a birthday treat recently only to be charged £16 then when we got by the pool the lifeguard told me we could only swim for 15 mins then family time starts this was at 3pm ! The diving boards were closed which was a real disappointment. The showers were absolutely boiling and were unusable without getting 3rd degree burns. I wont be going back anytime soon!

Negative experience: Fusion are a disgrace, they haven't responded to a single review here so clearly have no concern about this place. I find it a real shame that I have a lido on my doorstep but can't use it due to the chaotic booking system, awful customer service and poor hygiene. I have never been refunded after paying double because the booking system was so unclear, tried to speak with staff at reception and they neither cared nor understood how to resolve my issue. Haringey Council need to step in and do something about this company, they are appalling.

Kat Smith 2 years ago

Negative experience: Really disappointed. Pool is very dirty and unhygienic lots of dirt and insects in the water. Dirt on the bottom of the pool. I registered online and bought the ticket. When I arrived on the day they told me I have booked indoors swimming pool not outdoors. So I had to pay again. Website is very confusing . To make a booking i had to registered although I could not cancel my booking. So what is the purpose of registering? Perhaps they just collect personal data to sell it on. Really bad experience. Place very neglected and not managed very well, but most of all overcrowded. Not enjoyed it at all. People in the reception trying their best but its the management that need to step up and make this place worth coming in again

Charlotte C. 2 years ago

Negative experience: The lido is nice but the management is so bad. Nobody ever picks up the phone. I sent an online enquire for swim classes and never got a call-back. Recently went for a family swim in the lido and within 10 mins the pool was shut down by police - a refund was promised by the staff and never received, even after sending an email. Looking at the nr of bad reviews over the past few months and the lack of response from the company says enough… if you can go elsewhere, I’d avoid this place until it improves.

Beatrice Squires 2 years ago

Negative experience: Has great potential but Fusion are terrible. PLEASE can Better take over?! Very rude and unprofessional staff, showers with mould on the ceiling and a scuzzy pool...that literally had huge piles of mud at the bottom of it. For 8 quid a swim it's a disgrace. Won't be going again.

Negative experience: Tried this place a few times and never had a good experience, which is such a shame as the lido is in lovely surroundings and should be a really nice thing to be able to do. The front desk staff are the rudest I’ve come across in a public facing position. They act like you’re an alien when you ask a simple question (ie. A refund for a prepaid swimming session when the pool is actually closed). I’ve witnessed similar exchanges with other customers too. The facilities are always filthy and the place is so rundown. Impossible to reach ‘customer services’ online - even though you’re told in the centre you can only resolve any sort of issue via the website. The whole place needs a major revamp, and I’m afraid to say many staff clearly need to be retrained (or maybe moved out of a public facing role!).

Negative experience: This is the worst place to go and do your experience, I am cancelling my membership and will never go back. Saff rude and not helping if you need something. Use to close at 5pm in weekend now it's 4pm! Equipment at the gym very old and outdated. Bye bye time to go to real place!

Positive experience: I came in yesterday to join and was greeted with a long queue and two unhappy people on reception. I came back today and only joined because of some brilliant assistance from Leon. He was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He’s 5*- promote him! Having witnessed 2 teams over 2 days I recommend management take the time to observe and support their staff. It’s not rocket science to put good systems in place for them. Start with a queuing system that makes sense I.e have 2 staff members dealing only with bookings and gates. You also need a separate dedicated membership/query staff member. If you want people to join then prioritise it. Your ‘no show’ booking penalty system appears to be inefficient and causing delays . Perhaps rethink this - it might actually save you more money to not have it! Your card system also appears inefficient - I witnessed many people unable to enter the gates because their cards weren’t working. That’s not cool! Management, solve these systems for your front desk team as it will make a huge difference for them, make their job easier and fun, and that in turn will create a positive experience for your members. Boom! The front desk is, after all, the first point of contact. Look after them!

Tom Page 2 years ago

Negative experience: Just awful. Dirty environment, miserable and unhelpful staff and a whole attitude of decline. I used to bring children here for swimming and I hated it so much we switched to a pool much further away but one that didn't leave me angry every week.

Nathan Hughes 2 years ago

Positive experience: At £34 per month for a membership that includes gym, indoor pool and a lido is a great deal. However, there was a period in time where the heating for the Lido and indoor pool was continuously broken, which was a pain point for a few months, and the older team at the front desk were very abrasive towards other members - cussing them out. Looking for positives, when it's all working (which it has been for 4 months) - it's such a gem to have a heated lido with a nice outdoor space. Advice to other swimmers or those who are keen to join, for £34 PCM it is great, but the Lido is a much better experience than the indoor pool, due to frequent swimming lessons and narrow lanes, causing traffic jams and bumping your neighbors.

Paisley Allan 2 years ago

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking. I booked a session online for myself and wasn’t able to book one for a child - when asked how to do it the lady at reception wasn’t sure. It was all quite faffy. None of the hair dryers in the ladies changing room worked & only two showers worked in the area before you swim. The floor is absolutely grim & the whole area just made me feel bleh. There was no toilet paper in the loos either. The lane swimming was okay but it seemed family swim was in the same pool so it made it hard to get lengths in. I don’t understand why family swim wasn’t in another pool - all abit small and crowded. There were two others complaining when we arrived which is why it took ages to get in - the sauna was broken & you get charged for being late / not turning up / not swiping your card through the barriers even if they aren’t functioning. I would avoid and if you can pay more for a better facility - this was my first time and I wasn’t very amused. No stars at all if I had a choice. Do better guys!
