Tottenham Green Pools & Fitness: Opinions

2.1/5 (199 Opinions)

Negative experience: Half of the machines don’t work and the other half are broken. The ground floor changing rooms are disgusting, smell of pee everywhere and the white sink dirty black. Definitely not worth the money, many cheaper and better gyms around.

Positive experience: John at reception is the loveliest man. Whatever he's being paid isn't nearly enough! He's the star of the whole place. All the reception staff seem lovely too, though. Something needs to be done about the toilets in the upstairs changing rooms. At least one cubicle is always out of order, the others are usually blocked and/or won't flush and often there is no soap. Gross. The app does not send a notification or issue refunds for cancelled classes which have been paid for.

Mikeala Buchanan 7 months ago

Negative experience: I signed up mainly for the swimming facilities as it is the only one in the area but they have constant last minute pool closures and have big time gaps between slots. Toilets and changing rooms are never ever clean. I like the gym as it is quiet but the smell in there is really strong so can ruin the experience. Will be cancelling my membership and travelling further out for a better center. I take my daughter here for the fun and waves which she enjoys but overall its just not worth staying.

Umm H 7 months ago

Negative experience: Not very proffesional from the receptionist (African lady), need to be trained on how to speak to customers.

Negative experience: Worse Run Council facility in the whole of the borough. Haringey have managed to ruin the community and all it's community run spaces. Take people's money for equipment and facilities that don't work, and you capitalise on the fact that cost of living is at an all time high. You have to pay for parking so basically your paying Haringey to continue to treat the community terribly. Since taking over they hardly clean the changing rooms or showers and the smell is disgusting and they've refused to show me the cleaning log. Joke

Fantastic experience: I went here before ,is fun and I going back with my class

Negative experience: Worsest swimming pool in London, Areas around changing and resting rooms so filthy and smelly, when you telling to a staff about they're responding, Yes we're aware about this. Shame on you, Hanrigey council!!!!

Negative experience: Ridiculous customer service or lack there of. I had to pause my membership as I’m abroad for work for a few months. They made a mistake and still charged me in full. I contacted them and they acknowledged they did make a mistake. I asked for it to be refunded, or just added as credit for when I’m back. They had to escalate it to see what could be done, I’ve now waited over 5 weeks for an update, I keep chasing, but they never update or resolve it. I legit don’t understand how something that simple can be so difficult to fix. Furthermore, it’s a very basic gym, smelling changing rooms and showers, many many many broken machines. So I would recommend just going somewhere else. If you ever need help they surely will ghost you.

Negative experience: On their website and App they had family swim sessions from Monday to Friday. I booked one but couldn't attend due to my baby's illness. I spent 4 days trying to call them to rebook, and when I finally got through, the receptionist was unacceptably rude and told me I couldn't have booked because the sessions don't exist. She she didn't help me get a refund and told me to email them instead. Terrible customer service.

Positive experience: Decent gym and squash courts

Negative experience: for 11 months the steam room sauna hasn’t been working. There is so bathroom for women, the sauna smells really bad and the hygiene is bad

Garfield Robinson 8 months ago

Fantastic experience: Attended the launch of the book about Amy Jacques Garvey by Alesia Greenidge.

Positive experience: Our child does swim school here. The teachers are lovely but really that is the only good thing I have to say of the centre. The changing facilities are not cleaned well at all and repairs aren't done promptly. The cost of the lessons is triple of what we paid in a different centre in Hackney, as they do not offer any resident or low-income discounts. There is a soft-play area for children but this is being renovated so we have not used it. We do not come with a car so I can't comment on the parking lot, though it appears to accommodate a large amount of cars. There is a lovely library in the centre which we have used a few times. It is well worth a visit and is open on Sundays from 12pm, which is lovely if you want to while away some time on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Negative experience: A Very Disappointing Experience at Tottenham Green Pool Centre Unfortunately, my experience with this centre was far from satisfactory. Here are the main reasons for my dissatisfaction: 1. Poor and Inefficient App: The app is poorly designed and extremely difficult to navigate. Even essential information is either missing or displayed incorrectly. 2. Wrong Contact Number on the Website: The phone number listed on the centre’s website was incorrect, causing me to waste a lot of time trying to find the correct contact details. This level of inaccuracy is unacceptable for a professional establishment. 3. Unprofessional and Irresponsible Receptionist: The receptionist was completely unprofessional and unhelpful. They showed no interest in assisting or addressing the concerns of visitors and seemed to lack basic responsibility for their role. This level of mismanagement and disorganization is extremely disappointing for a centre that should provide quality services to its customers. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues promptly because, as it stands, I cannot recommend this centre to anyone.

Negative experience: no one answer the phone most of the time

Paul Addae 10 months ago

Positive experience: After being closed for ages it re-opened with some good changes and more activities for kids and local residents. Hoping there will be a more enhanced range of swimming activities for kids soon aswell. In my experience, the receptionists, the two Muslim ladies I saw there, were superb, respectful and helpful.

George Shacallis 10 months ago

Positive experience: Reception is very slow in dealing with people. 2 receptionists dealing with new applications, letting people in, etc. Maybe a third person dealing with enquiries etc

Negative experience: I recently booked a badminton session and had a frustrating experience. When I called beforehand to ask if badminton rackets were provided, I was assured that they were. However, upon arrival, I found that only two short children's rackets were available, which was disappointing. We decided to make do and headed to the court, but I was surprised to find that it wasn't set up, which is usually standard at other locations. When I spoke to the reception staff about the lack of proper rackets and the unprepared court, they were unhelpful and rude, which added to my frustration as it cut into our playing time. I requested a refund, but they informed me that refunds aren't offered, despite the poor service. They did eventually offer a different time slot an hour later, which we hoped would allow us enough time to buy rackets. Unfortunately, since it was Sunday, we had to wait for the stores to open, which coincided with the new time given to us, cutting our playtime even further. When we returned, the court was still not set up, and I found the reception staff to be inconsiderate about the whole situation. Thankfully, other customers helped us set up the net, and one of the male workers who came to our court was polite and apologetic, which I appreciated. I used to visit this facility frequently when I was younger and never encountered issues like this. It's disappointing to see the decline in service. The female receptionists - please do better.

Negative experience: Not safe place they broke into my car steeling my blue badge avoid parking you car in the centre because they don’t have cctv not safe not safe at all

Negative experience: I used to be a regular customer here, until conFusion took it over. That is when the place quickly went downhill. Good that the council is taking it back. Hopefully they will get place back up to standard.

Tashan Sherabayani 1 year ago

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible company. They are stealing from people. Avoid Fusion at all costs! In Tottenham, everything has been broken for weeks yet they are still charging customers full price. On top of this they have charged a months fee when the site is closing down before the month is up!! And they want another month of pay after that when there is no gym to go to as a cancellation fee. Absolute theft.

Negative experience: I came with my kids for swimming pool. They kicked out my kids from the pool. There was female staff said that our policy is you need to come in proper pool dress. My kids were wearing shirts and trousers. Staff said that you need to go out.My kids were so upset They were already in the pool. They were so exited. Staff member asked them to leave the pool. We came out from the pool. One of my daughter wanted to go inside the pool. Member of staff hold a my daughter arm and pushed her outside the pool.It was very clear on cctv camera. I request her that my kids are already in the pool. Please allow them only today. She said that this our policy.staff was so rude specially with kids. It was very bad day.I spent 15.60. I asked them to refund. They said I can't refund. She didn't want to listen anything. She was so rude I don't know her name. She refused me to give her name.

Negative experience: Poorly run. Needs urgent attention. Apparently control of the center is being handed back to the council sometime this year.

Tams Parris-bah 1 year ago

Negative experience: Terrible experience attempting to book my daughter into the junior swim class! The receptionist was obstinate and rude and his manager (Lisa) even more so. This centre is clearly badly managed and the managers lack the required training and experience to handle customer issues in an effective manner. They blame the customers for the issues, which isn't fair. The manager, Lisa spoke to me in such a highly offensive, belittling and derogatory way. And she did thus in front of my daughter. I am still shocked and astounded at her level of unptofessionalism and abusing her authority I'm this way. I will be following this up with senior management.

Negative experience: The gym is severely lacking, how is there not a bench press rack? Half the machines are out of order. What kind of gym is this!

Amai Douglas 1 year ago

Negative experience: Place needs to close, well the gym anyway. Don’t waste money coming here, you are getting ripped off. Half the machines do not work, have been left for over 6 months broken, some are creaky when you use them and quite a state as they are so old. Dirty people don’t wipe down their stinking sweaty machine after they use it, just jump off and leave it. Disgusting. Never any blue roll. Place looks tired and old, dingy lighting and cramped. Nothing is getting fixed as apparently Haringey Council is taking it over but not till October I heard. Save money and go to the BETTER GROUP gyms. Anywhere but here. Steam room been closed for month. It’s an utter joke. To be still charging full price for gym is Ludacris. I don’t know anyone who would come here and keep paying in the state it is. I just cancelled my membership with no notice and won’t be coming back to this dump hole or paying it. We ain’t getting the full benefits so don’t expect to charge the full price. Changing rooms smell of urine and mounds of hair scatter the floor. It’s sickening. I’m glad not to see this place again.

Negative experience: Me and my sister started going to this centre to keep active during our summer break. We thought it was convenient as it's within walking distance of our house... Only to be thoroughly disappointed about the services. I cannot speak for the rest of the areas of the centre such as the Children's soft play or Pools as I do not go there, but I can shed some light on the gym. These are just my opinions, please make informed decisions. Firstly, setting up our membership was long and stressful – The website isn't functional at all and I got stuck on an eternal loading screen each time I tried to set up a membership plan. We went back and forth with the desk staff about pricing and there were no leaflets or brochures I could take home to get an idea of what the place was like as a new member, they just gave us a print out of a membership list we couldn't take home that would confuse even the most meticulous person. The staff also gave us the perception that we would be paying less for our membership (£25.25 each) because we're students, only to charge us £32 each the next month. But, at least if we're paying such a high price each month, we would be getting good services, right? Wrong. Compared to many other gyms, this gym is very, very small, probably a third of a football court big. Most of the machines are broken and the ones that do work are dusty. There are only three benches in the entire gym and you can imagine the nightmare it's like at peak times. The racks where the kettlebells are kept are filthy and so are the floors. Some people don't even wipe down their equipment after they've finished using it and leave dumbells everywhere so other people can't find them easily. I've not been to the toilets or changing rooms before but I don't even want to imagine what they're like. In addition to all of this, there are no staff in the gym to help customers with their workouts or monitor what's going on, so it can be unsafe, especially for young women. To get to the gym, you can either use the three flights of stairs or the lift... But the lift is out of service so those who need wheelchairs cannot be accommodated, which is appalling. Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for the fact that I'm able to go to the gym and work out, but the price I'm paying doesn't correlate at all with the service. Privately owned gyms know that they have to keep their place clean and tidy and provide stellar services so they don't lose customers and money but the council can't be bothered to fund any money into community centres or services. I would suggest not having high expectations if you want to come to this gym because they're going to fall very quickly. Just pay as you go instead, it's probably way cheaper than a membership. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day. Please share this review with others if you think it was helpful.

Positive experience: The men's changing rooms smell bad due to lack of cleaning. Individual weights such as 5kg are missing, of which there is only 1 of each. At rush hour, only one person can use this type of weights. The machines are normally left for more than a month without being repaired.

Positive experience: First use of this facility, arrived 06:30 for the use of the health suite Sauna & Steam. Was met by young lady at front desk (forgotten her name) very helpful and informative. Very good health suite (steam out of order or would have been 5* rated) clean and functional. Will definitely be back

Fantastic experience: You have to book classes, swimming and most other activities except the gym. The downside is I don't know what I'm doing from one day to the next. However, I sometimes book, when I'm standing in line at reception. The classes are good. Zumba is excellent with Arvin, but he is on holiday for a month. He is trying to find a replacement.

Fantastic experience: I had the chance to experience it for the first time today, I can say that it is a particularly big tessis, there are many features in this tessis di buffet relaxation area spa gym and pool I tried it was very nice, there was also fresh orange juice, Mr. Celil helped me, thank you very much, I wish tessis that it comes to very nice places, if the facility, my only suggestion is to buy a dryer for swimsuits, I think guests will like this idea

Negative experience: Really run down and dirty. Looks like it hasn’t been refurbed in years. Very few staff on shift. Lots of machines broken or in disrepair. And not cheap.

Negative experience: I went to a spin class and it was over booked. A lady called suzette verbally abused me in front of management, repeatedly called me a bit-ch and picked up a 5KG weight to hit me with it. management hasn’t done anything about it still allowing this person to attend classes. She’s a risk to everyone that has a membership. Members attend spin early put the water bottles on the bikes and don’t return till the class is finished. Unfair for Members who have goals to reach. The way management (Jessica, Lisa and other managing staff ) has dealt with this matter is nothing. The gym has dirt/dusty machines and no Members of stuff on the gym floor, always sitting on their phone in the gym floor office. Customers will leave weights lying around and it will be there for two weeks, I have evidence of this. In the middle of the gym it’s been cornered off for over two months, machines not been fix for over two months ( I was pay as you go now I have a membership the price I pay for this place is crazy). No membrane for customers that lift real heavy weights, so when I drop the weights when im trying to get an extra rep in the old people moan but they get their membership for free. Stuff Members try staying out the way so they don’t have to interact with paying customers and deal with problems. Wednesday the 1st, a new customer came up to me asking where the males changing room is, I said it’s mixed then he asked where’s the gym, why are reception selling membership and not giving new customers let alone someone new to the country a tour of the centre. They didn’t inform him the stream room will be out of order. The stream room lets out a lot of stream and set off the fire alarm, a lifeguard came in and screamed at customers that don’t even speak great English to stop letting the stream out but clearly there is something wrong with the stream room and in the end he decided to turn it off after shouting at customers like they’re nobodies. There’s “ black maggots “ around the drains in the sauna and customers have told me they’ve been around the drains for two years , I told the receptionist and she said we know and we Clean everyday, To be fair she didn’t care, little attitude on her The changing room cubicles have white marks and are dirty. Customers leave empty bottles and rubbish in the cubicles and it’s there for 4 days till the cleaner decides to do something about it. Shower door missing for over two months. Only can swim at set times. Lifeguards need to know what “membership “ means as I was almost asked to get out the pool because I had to pay for “ fun and waves” but it’s included in my membership, I just needed to remember to get a wristband in future. The lift is always out of order which means people with disabilities can’t reach the second floor. You’ll never see management waking around the centre, which is really weird. Around two weeks ago the lifeguards were cleaning the changing room drains, it took 4-5 of them to do it , customers getting wet as they change in the cubicles by the jet wash as it sprayed under the doors and they found it funny, and a sarcastic “sorry”. I asked them will they be cleaning the cubicle walls as there are white marks, they replied “yeah after the drains” went back the next day to learn they’re liars. Heard the council is coming to take back over in October, hopefully there will be better management.

Positive experience: Ok not the best of pools for lane swimming..very high sides so not good for turning... seemed colder than the average pool.. locker system not good but showers and changing ok.. this doesnot rate very high in the 64 pools visited by me within M25 this winter..but staff at the leisure centre were very very nice Thank you

AJ 1 year ago

Positive experience: Decent gym, sauna and steam room. Has a few squash courts. But it could be a lot better. The cleaning is terrible/non existent? Toilets and changing rooms seem like they never get cleaned. Recently the hot water also went which meant cold showers for almost a week.

Franklyn Riley 1 year ago

Negative experience: This place needs a complete overhaul They only just now fixed the lift after months of being out of action! The centre is visited by a large church congregation of older residents who were subjected to climbing the stairs for months The gym equipment is falling apart only two cycling machines work out of a dozen Showers the other day were only running cold water IT's very unpredictable because you don't know what to expect in terms of what's working and what's not.from week to week..Need to do a lot better Staff are polite that's the only positive I can mention in this state of time !

Owen Price 1 year ago

Negative experience: This is the worst leisure centre of all time. The showers and steam room are constantly breaking taking weeks if not months to fix. Haringey need to source a new provider urgently. The pool has been closed for nearly a year now. The issues with the management of this leisure centre go back way before the sewage leak. Facilities were always broken and never fixed for months. They still charge the same price. It is despicable. It is outrageous it is still holding a contract with Haringey.

Positive experience: Service is ok but the timing is limited for the weekend. Most people are off on the weekend so at least have it open a bit longer.

Tommaso Jekson HB 2 years ago

Negative experience: I have been a customer of the Tottenham Green Pools for quite a while and I have to say that from January 2023 the swimming pool has closed and has never reopened since. The conditions of the all center (cleanliness and services) have incredibly worsened and the management has shown total lack of care towards the condition of the premises and more importantly towards the customers of the centre. For example, I have tried to get in touch to enquire about any eventual refund or discount due to lack of services but they have always replied with incredible delay and total lack of care avoiding to help me out in any case or without any professional approach (it is also to consider that they have also charged me for the last two months even though I could not access the swimming pool and I proved them so). I sadly decided to leave the Centre and find another gym.

Positive experience: Although the pool is out of use, the health suit is great and I enjoed going there in the morning . Salma that works at the front in the morning is a blessing to be entertain with that lovely smile and her empathy toward everyone. She's a gem an although the place is a mess she's the sunshine that brightens that gym.

Tottenham LTN 2 years ago

Negative experience: Haringey Council are useless. They cannot manage contracts with Fusion and sort this mess out. They have not been transparent about the real issues.

Sean Kohut 2 years ago

Negative experience: The absolute worst run business in all of London. The pool has been closed for over 6 months now and they didn't even think to drain it. Have a look at the state of it! This is after a more than £1 million renovation with public funds. Well done Haringey!

Queen 2 years ago

Negative experience: The month of January paid and not used because the gym is closed. But instead of offering a refund you told me that I can use the site or another gym that is far away and it is not possible for me to exercise from home or to get to the other gym. Basically in a time of general economic crisis you are stealing people's money. Am I wrong? Honesty is always repaid and it would be honest to reimburse those who paid and could not use the gym because it was not open. I am waiting to hear from you, I have already sent several e-mails without concrete replies.

Karolina Frackowska 2 years ago

Negative experience: The staff are friendly and helpful but the centre - I used the swimming pool only was in a very bad state of cleanliness. I got a very serious athlete’s foot infection- even when using footwear to walk on the tiles- which took months to heal. The female changing room was not cleaned very often as you could see the same stains for days on end. And the toilets were often blocked or dirty. When I complained about my infection I was not taken that seriously so I cannot say that the management are very engaged either. It’s a shame as we really need a nice and health conscious swimming pool in the area.

Monika Francis 2 years ago

Negative experience: Despite opening times still being displayed here, the centre has been closed for over a month at this point. Communication from their team has been extremely slow and lacking, there's no timeline given for reopening or even any explanation of the issues forcing them to remain closed. Even before this mysterious closure, they had persistent issues around maintenance and cleanliness.

f v 2 years ago

Negative experience: Very poorly maintained leisure centre. No water in the ladies’s room, broken lockers, just to mention a few… And the general manager doesn’t even bother to reply to emails for requests to use the spaces available in the centre. Is this a community service? Haringey should partner up with Better UK!

Fer P 2 years ago

Negative experience: There are stools in men’s toilet stuck to the wall, been 3 weeks now. Reception has been informed, no one cares, zombie cleaners, and they can barely move Toilets ALWAYS smell of piss. Dirty, clogged. Sauna full of hair, dirty. Showers smell of poo, clogged with hair, food on the floor. Lockers battered, most of them not working. Gym is useless, old broken machines, no replacement, clocks with no batteries. They took money throughout pandemic. The whole centre is so rundown, due to electrical fault now, been 2 weeks closed, but they keep taking our money from direct debit.

Emma Green 2 years ago

Negative experience: Staff working here are friendly but the company itself is terrible at communicating, the gym is always dirty and kit is regularly broken for weeks on end (including air-conditioning in the spinning class). I'm not sure how they are able to continue with this level of service, other than the fact it's one of the only leisure centres in the area.

Denny Bu 2 years ago

Negative experience: Waste of money. And it’s dirty dirty dirty. The steam room is always broken, they will tell you it will be fixed on specific date but it never is. You can’t even call them to check what facilities are working before you go there because they never answer the phone.

Lian Murray 2 years ago

Positive experience: This place is getting worse as time goes on! The 3rd star was generous and this is only because there are some really nice staff that work there! I joined almost 10 years ago when the staff and facilities were great! Now the machines hardly every work, they barely supply cleaning materials for the equipment. Classes are cancelled without much notice. The toilets are filthy and often without soap or tissue and sometimes even water. Their staff turnover is outrageous. They do offer a wide range of facilities such as badminton, swimming, sauna, classes and the entire gym but it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to access them! And today the gym was closed with no notification at all! Fusion have a lot of work to do!

TRICIA M 2 years ago

Negative experience: This is one of the worse leisure centres. Their gym equipment is minus 0. They don’t maintain or upkeep anything. They don’t even have hot water to wash your hands after you visit the ladies. And this has been for weeks. They take your money time and time again for services not rendered. The place is not clean. The netting on squash courts are awful, so you keep losing balls, because they don’t ensure it’s covered up properly. Toilets with no seats. They go for days without sorting issues that clearly affects the opening of the centre. This place is so bad. Need I go on Highly unrecommendable!

Positive experience: I feel fortunate to have a great swimming pool locally, But lots of showers are broken and takes a long time before they are fixed! The roads were full of thick ice before and nobody didn't anything despite all the complaints from the customers!

Diana “DD” D 2 years ago

Negative experience: The reason 2 stars is only based on cleanliness. Didn't use GYM (so no comments), but swimming pool is extremely dirty changing rooms, floor. Showers half working, most of the time you will get only cold water. Make sure you have shoes/flip flops on until you get to water. Prepare for cold water (sometimes is very nice and warm). Slide never working and dirty. Avoid if you can.

Natalia Paucar 2 years ago

Negative experience: Totally disappointed, throughout the year they have canceled swimming classes several times and the worst this month of November 2 times. They charge you the whole month and with just a couple of hours they notify you that the class is canceled and no one with information can give you solutions, they give you an email address to express your displeasure.

AG 2 years ago

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with the service. They cancelled my children swim lesson three times with in one or two months time and the swim teachers are complaining every time when you go there about your child stage which needs to arrange by their on staff and also the family changing area is always busy because people left their clothe in the room until they come back from swim or one person waited in the room to use the room later and we (with little baby and buggy) couldn’t use that room when we came back from swimming all the time which is very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone this place .

Negative experience: I'm giving one star because I am unable to give none, The facilities are disgusting and unclean including the pool there are tiles missing and broken which is a hazard. The toilets, showers and steam room smelled like the sewers. It was disgusting and we will not be returning. And to top it off there are no signs on one entrance to the car park stating that you have to pay for your parking, there are no signs within the facilities saying that you have to pay for your parking so when I left, imagine my surprise to find a parking ticket on my car. 0 out of 5 stars. Worst leisure centre I have ever been to. Staff were polite though.

Negative experience: They gym is very good , but the clases are always full and you can’t never try to be in so if you want to join us better just to pay without clases because rarely you get in And if you finally can bock your class , and you don’t go ,they will charge you 8 pounds . The woman’s bathroom doesn’t have never toilet paper and the handwashing faucets don't work never .

Negative experience: The facility is generally unclean, and extremely understaffed. I have never been here and not seen a queue of several people waiting at reception. My main issue is with the gym. There is lots of broken machinery, and if there is usable equipment it’s clearly old and weathered. The fact there are just 3 benches and only one rack for barbell exercises is genuinely appalling, there is always a queue for the weights area and I often have to end my workouts short due to the fact I’ll be waiting 15-20 minutes for a bench to finally free up. Water fountains are dirty, very rarely do I even see a member of staff in the gym area. Weights and dumbbells are scattered around the gym, giving it a cluttered disorganised feel. I’ve planned to use the sauna on multiple occasions, but it’s been broken/out of order every time! At this point I’m not sure why I’m paying for facilities that aren’t available to me. I wish I never signed up for a membership here, and I can’t wait for this month to be over so I can change gyms immediately. I’ve told several of my friends who had planned to join to never come here and instead find a different gym. The most frustrating part is that this could be a great facility to have in Tottenham, but it’s clear the owners don’t care about providing a quality, or even a barely acceptable fitness centre, and will continue to ignore all the terrible reviews people are giving.

Negative experience: This place is dirty to the point of being disgusting. Never cleaned and the area around the pool is unsanitary, wear sandals or you will catch verrucas. Service is pretty useless too.

Fantastic experience: All five of these stars are for the brilliant Customer Sales Advisor Rebecah. I emailed so many questions before I took out my membership at the weekend. Each reply came back within minutes with clear, concise, well-informed answers. I might well have driven her bananas (I had A LOT of queries) but if so, it didn't show. Thanks so much for all your help Rebecah, very much appreciated!

Negative experience: The centre turned off the lift so people with walking disabilities had problems getting down the stairs. The 2 jails the air-conditioning was not on at all Nil ratings to this centre.

Positive experience: Attended an advertised autism friendly session and was incredibly busy. Floats came out 15 minutes before the end and tannoy was used numerous occasions to ask for staff to come to reception - not the emergencies only as advertised. Pool was cold with no temperature displayed anywhere. Changing cubicles could do with being bigger for those trying to dry and sort themselves out aswell as the person they are caring for. For the cost it was ok and the session was convenient for us but I do prefer our other local pool

Negative experience: I took my son into the pool, when I got there, a lady said that everything was full, there was no more space, to my surprise when I walked and came through the glass, there was no one, everything was empty, the pool had 3 people in the large pool and in the children's pool, empty. , the haringey council could look at this with more attention and dedication in respect of the community and put people who really want to work seriously! Negative experience: Booked soft play 30th May for 5 kids totalling £21. An extra lot of £21 came out. Trying to still get my refund today. was told to email bank statement as proof an extra lot of £21 came out. I did that and I’m still here waiting for my money. Place is dirty. Needs to close down. They don’t answer phone. staff are slack. Quick to take money out but can’t put back a refund as quick. They will be seeing me tomorrow and hearing my mouth.

Positive experience: Generally unclean and certain members of staff are not very helpful nor friendly. Its a shame its gone down hill so much. There is such a demand for a decent Leisure centre in that area especially one that facilitates a swimming pool.

Negative experience: Review from December 2022: We pay for our son to have swimming lessons here. On Tuesday 13th December we battled through the snow and ice and turned up to be told the swimming facilities were closed - no phone call or anything, despite them having our details. Tried again on Friday 16th December. Called ahead this time only to be told (in a curt manner) that the lessons are going ahead. Turned up again and there's no level 2 instructor or anyone covering! I seriously don't know what's going on with this place. It's getting worse. Haringey needs to cancel Fusion Leisure's contract and get Better to run the leisure centre. They manage the leisure centres in neighbouring Hackney and Waltham Forest and they are miles better - better service and much better facilities - and for the same cost! We're being robbed by Fusion in Haringey. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Review from June 2022: Been going here for years and years and keep complaining about this place to Haringey council and it never improves. The changing rooms and constantly filthy and very smelly. There seems to be some sort on ongoing plumbing issues causing stale urine to collect next to the changing rooms. The changing areas and swimming areas lack proper ventilation always feels very stuffy and stagnant. The desk is always understaffed and the online booking service is utterly abysmal. Most recently we attended the family fun splash session in the pool during half term and although it was good fun, there was nobody there to allow access to the slide even though it was clearly on. There also needs to be more than two family-sized changing rooms. The soft play upstairs is too dark and in need of more lighting. It feels very uninviting. The whole place feels very unclean and unloved. It's another case of Haringey signing over an essential public service to a provider who has a very lengthy contract so they can (and do) get away with not maintaining basic standards with little or repercussions from the council. Such a shame as the place has lots of potential. Hopefully Haringey won't renew their contract with Fusion.

Negative experience: I attended a music event 4th June, aimed at those aged late 40s upwards. The room used was upstairs, very crowded, and very hot. For some reason the AC was not turned on, Myself and other ladies luckily had bought with us fans, but they made no difference. We had to vacate the room as the heat became unbearable. At one point the DJ asked if the AC could be switched on, to no avail. The toilets upsatirs was closed, and we were directed to use the ones downstairs, by the children's play area. There are 2 toilets, and they were disgusting. One had no lock on the door, some sickly looking substance on the floor, the other toilet had no lights. Hence, people had to use the torch on their mobiles to make sure they aimed into the bowl. The centre is in need of a deep clean and maintenance.

That one guy That you will probably never see again 3 years ago

Positive experience: The hygiene issues all over the centre are horrible, the pool looks like it hadn't been cleaned for a decade, the gym is scattered with trash, yet putting hygiene aside, the place is fine, occasional rude staff. I'd recommend hiring more staff or just generally deep cleaning the centre entirely.

Negative experience: It´s half term and I have decided to take kids to swimming to this leisure centre. Unfortunately this was really big DISAPPOINTMENT for us. So after purchasing tickets for my two kids and myself and travelling all the way from Enfield, making payment for parking. Just to be told that 2 kids under 8 years must be accompanied by 2 adults. If you have this condition, you should have prevented me to purchase tickets at first place, so the system would be set to not let me buy it. And we could avoid this distress which was caused to us. I can´t imagine how many parents have kids under the age of 8 and can´t afford or allow themselves to come both parents. It´s a shame as you are loosing money and could satisfied more clients as you had lot of spaces left for this session. After corona man would expect you try to build up and improve your services. If you continue this way you will never be able to compete with others.

Negative experience: I could give this place a zero star if they had it. THE BATHROOM are filthy, blocked toilet, paper hand towel everywhere. Just disgusting. Seems like there’s no cleaners, and staff to take care of the place. The gym is not really the best. Minimal gym equipment and the membership price for the gym is overpriced and not worth it. Better off using the public gym. Overall the place is run down, not well taken care off, and not worth your money. Something needs to be done. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this leisure centre. Disappointed and Disgusted

Fantastic experience: Kieva and John and Helens customer service is out of this world. I've never been to a gym before and was slightly apprehensive. Due to their amazing attitudes and smiley faces it makes me come back everytime. Thank you so much for your patience with customers and your amazing hearts. You guys make the world a better place and also Its giving me the inspiration to come back and shed the weight I wanted to lose. Facilities are amazing and the classes very welcoming. Thanks again for all your support ❤️

Laura Sampedro de la Rosa 3 years ago

Negative experience: I come here everyday to exercise in the gym and swim. It is incredibly dirty, the changing rooms are never cleaned, sometimes I can see the same toilet paper in the floor for a week, hair everywhere (the same hair for several days), clogged toilets for several days, and the water of the pool is another story… sometimes it feels someone got in the water with a bottle of olive oil, not to mention how full of rubbish is the bottom of the pool. I saw people complaining about this and I did so myself, raising this problem to reception and workers several times. I have been always told “I’ll let the manager know”… ok well… who is the manager? Is there a manager working there? Because no one there is doing anything or caring about basic hygiene

Negative experience: Money grabbing and disorganised. Don't sign up if you'll want to leave any time soon. I signed up for the half-price end of year deal in December to try the gym out. The sauna and steam room didn't work, classes were okay but I had to move out of the area so wanted to cancel. I tried to cancel in January and couldn't find the option through the app or when signed into the website. Called up and staff member was unhelpful and told me I had to use the website (no helping me figure out where). Was advised when asking in person that I needed to cancel through the website. Eventually I found I the option to request cancellation after signing out of the website. By this point I'd missed the date and had to pay another month. They take a month notice so that's 2 months and I forgot about the whole annoying and expensive ordeal. Come April I discover £45 had been taken from my account. I called up and was advised I need to go to the bank, print out a statement and physically bring it to the centre to get a refund. As I no longer live in the area this will take at least half a day. I'm furious. I've now paid £180 over 4 months for a membership I just wanted to cancel after a half price trial, in a gym that I couldn't use the facilities I wanted, and only attended twice. **Update** I have placed formal complaint with the manager who promised a refund. As of August they are still taking money from my account and no refund.

Negative experience: Beware of infection if swimming here. I have been faithfully swimming here for months and I would love to continue but the facilities are so filthy that I am simply forced to go somewhere else. No matter how hygienic I am myself it’s impossible to avoid picking up nasty infections here. Disgusting and disappointing.

Negative experience: I book their small hall for my son's 10th birthday in January 2020 for the party to be held in April. Then come march 2020 there was COVID-19. The centre also went on lockdown which I understood and we couldn’t have the party. Since then, I have asking for a refund of the money paid for the hall. I spoken to some of the receptionist, also send several emails to no avail. This is 2022, I still haven't received my refund.

Negative experience: I booked in advance for a swim but still had to queue for 15 minutes to be let in. There was only one staff member on reception. The pool was dirty. There was a dirty scum line running all around the pool which made you wonder how unhygienic the water itself was. There was a swimming lesson running which took up half the pool. This wasn’t made clear at the time of booking. The changing rooms smelt of urine. All in all, really disappointing and unpleasant for £8. Tottenham residents deserve better. Please consider employing more staff and work on a cleaning regime to make the pool and changing rooms more hygienic throughout the day.

Positive experience: Went there for an evening event. Only thing is the facilities being downstairs because upstairs was out of order. Sadly we'd been there 3 weeks previously and had similar issues.

Negative experience: Last Sunday 6/2/2022 at 10.00am I am been there for a session and I am a witness of being rude behavior to the customers by the receptionist. She have no clew at all about how to deal with clients and she acting like people are there for free entry. Shocking performance but it’s wasn’t to me. Time for a replacement

Negative experience: Needs a good clean! Also, the system where your membership gets blocked if the turnstyle is broken is bonkers! Please sort this out. Have a look at these reviews posted here, the 5 star ones are have clearly been paid for!

Negative experience: It's a shame that this great place is seriously let down by its standard of cleanliness. It is so filthy.. The people of Tottenham deserve so much better. You would think in this time of covid they would go that extra mile. Apparently not!! After being closed down for months due to a lot of issues, including sewage backing up, I'm hoping this place has had a thorough clean. The centre is now open for dry side activities only.

Fantastic experience: I actually come here to use the Marcus Garvey library which is situated at the library. Always find all the staff helpful and attentive and just always give me the impression they are always glad to see you. There is a wide array of books and peripherals which is expected and they will always locate items from other libraries if you need them.
