Fantastic experience: Staff on the front desk are 10/10 friendly funny and helpful. Jacob was extremely helpful & signed me up to a membership after I was unsure about joining
Negative experience: Roko Wilford Nottingham is now Everlast! Check things thoroughly before you join! I have been a member for some time now and have seen the unsafe decline of this place. Concerning. Half the ladies showers are out of order constantly, razors are left on the shower floors, tiles are pretty disgusting in there. Floor tiles are old to the point when remotely wet, are very slippy! Not to mention the silver plating outside the shower area, you will know about when you slip on it! The pool area is a playground. Adults doing acrobatics in the childrens' pool, but no one says a thing to avoid the inevitable. Throwing balls around like two year olds when people are there to actually swim. Luckily I've not been hit yet. I get the impression, no one cares. Staff are disinterested and miserable looking. You challenge them , they shrug and don't care. When has glass bottles been safe inches from a pool edge, in the steam room and changing area? To the point I saw one smash all over the floor in front of me and staff really did not care when I told them. Outside pool condition is tatty and of concern with the loose brickwork last I saw end of summer. Water is often cold in the pool and showers. Steam room half the time is not working correctly and the gross sewage smell by the pool edge at times is awful. Making it worse, little notification, if any has been given or advised for membership transfer to Everlast . What a sham. You find you've been transferred to a new membership plan you actually have not signed up to, or been consulted on!? So check your details. My personal address is wrong and telephone number has also disappeared. Why would I not be contacted to discuss my transfer to Everlast and changing contract conditions? Is this actually legal to start me on a new contract without my written consent? It's very underhanded in my view and unprofessional. One I am seeking advice on. Not to guide your members and inform them of options available is appalling. Certain staff clearly show they do not care! A face says it all. Why work in the public domain if you clearly do not care about your customers and have a distinct attitude problem in public? I have no intention of staying. I certainly do not feel safe. There are better options around. About time health and safety took a hard look around the place. I hope the place changes quickly on many levels.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been struggling with my membership log in for a long time, I’ve not wanted to come in and sort it because the staff always seem really busy. I went in last night, I was assured by lovely lady named Lee that she would sort it out the next day. Words I’ve heard far to often by staff, at different companies, only to be let down. But no Lee called me today, she had the same bubbly, approachable, happy attitude and the problem was promptly resolved, thank you
Negative experience: The steam room has gotten filthy and mouldy, keep finding people’s snus and old plasters they leave around :( usually love the steam room but not enjoying it recently sorry
Negative experience: In October I asked to freeze or cancel my membership because of my pregnancy. As my contract was not over I was suggested to freeze it. I agreed. Regardless I still was charged in November and today. So I lost £70 just because people don’t bother to do their job properly. Today I rang to the gym and the lady said that she sees that I froze my membership when I explained that I was still charged first she said that they will refund my money but when she put me on hold. After few minutes of waiting she said that they will cancel my membership and I will not be charged again but she did not mention anything about refund anymore. I am not going back to this gym ever again as I feel that I was scammed.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to try a day pass session by a mutual friend. I have never been to an everlast gym before so upon entering the gym it's self, I was impressed by the modern interior and the fact there's a sports direct shop upstairs is an additional bonus. I was greeted by Lee's sunny personality and she was most helpful giving me a run down of the facilities available, this was a nice touch, credit to that woman. I like the dark them of the gym, it puts you in a different frame of mind. The machines are plentiful and the overall atmosphere is great and energy uplifting. Happy to of come here on a visit.

Negative experience: The gym has a nice ambiance, and it's clear they've put effort into creating a welcoming environment. However, there are several issues that need urgent attention. As seen in the attached photo, many machines have been broken for over two months, which is unacceptable. Two months should be more than enough time to get these fixed. Additionally, the doors in the shower room are broken, the shower gel box is often empty or broken, and there's usually no shower gel available. There are also no dryers in the locker room, which is disappointing, especially since most gyms with swimming pools provide this amenity. The gym is often fully packed, making it difficult to enjoy a workout without waiting for equipment. While the atmosphere is great, these persistent issues significantly impact the overall experience.

Negative experience: Not the greatest gym and at times pretty filthy in the showers. The team down there are ok but don't expect first class customer service. It's local and that's about it. For the price, on what you get and the service. If you looked. You will find better. Average gym. Too busy and not ideal if you want to workout hard.
Fantastic experience: The gym is amazing all the PT are always happy to help and special thanks to Karen and Liberty for always being there to say morning and put a smile on everyone’s face. They are an absolute credit to the company.
Negative experience: I only use the pool and steam room. Since i joined Nearly a year ago the steam room has been closed repeatedly, the last episode for 2 months. It's now it's broken again. DO NOT JOHN THIS GYM IF YOU ENJOY A STEAM ROOM YOU'LL BEE WASTING YOUR MONEY

Fantastic experience: I really like this gym. It looks good, has all the equipment I want and 4h free parking. I have often been kicked out of the pool over 30 mins before the gym shuts by staff. There's no sauna or jacuzzi, only a steam room but it's often broken. The front door to the gym can often be broken too. It's in the actual building of Sports Direct

Negative experience: Main gym is great. Staff are lovely but the cleanliness is terrible. The steam room is always filthy. The shower area and toilets are also very poorly maintained. I have mentioned it a few times but there seems to be a lack of responsibility and management to keep on top on basic hygiene. It’s a shame for a place that has just had tens of thousands for the refurb.

Negative experience: This should really be a no star review because of the ineptitude of the female supervisor who didn't have intelligence to sort out a "2 for £16" deal, which came up at the till as £17. Needless to say I walked out when she started telling lies. Avoid.

Negative experience: This gym is an absolute joke you have to que for every single bit of equipment especially in the evenings why do people find it necessary to go in groups of four five six etc and just stand around equipment talking and taking photos of them selves . Its a gym go on a machine then move on. Unfortunately people that work all day can only get in the evenings its so frustrating when you just want to go in for a quick workout no such thing at this gym. Avoid at all costs and then they have the cheek to put the price's up. They get you into a 12 month contract which you can not cancel , I injured my back and couldn't go for around four months they wouldn't even freeze my membership just kept taking money month after month. Oh and the WIFI is shocking just to top it off >>>>>>>>
Negative experience: Absolutely awful customer service by the receptionist when I came in to inquire, she looked at me like what are you even doing here. She was terrible at explaining about the classes and she didn’t have a clue what she was talking about. I’m going to wait to join the new pure gym down the road now!
Positive experience: Steam room is always dirty, and the temperature is always wrong. Sometimes it is too hot, sometimes it is not even warm. App for the gym is a joke... works terribly. Equipment in the gym is good.

Negative experience: I went back to my old gym with my daughter after covid to find the place all dark and not inviting at all. As an older woman it was off puting, i think i the design is very masculine.
Negative experience: It is far too busy. I do not expect to fight for the machines and be pressured into finishing my workout quicker so the next person can use it. I have to adjust my workout as the machine I would like to use is occupied and this happens every time I go now, even at times like off peak times where you would expect it be quiet. Would not recommend. If the place was empty the machines are good quality and the place looks nice.
Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a good, average gym with a good range of equipment, then this is the place for you. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there's a good range of classes on offer too. However, the facilities are a bit dated and could do with a bit of an update.

Fantastic experience: Lots of weights and machines. Can’t say I’ve seen another gym with 9 squat racks before. I go before 1pm and it’s not that busy when I go. It probably is after 5pm but every gym is busy the It’s not the cleanest of gyms but I don’t really think it matters too much, it’s a gym not a restaurant.
Negative experience: The showers are disgusting with clumps of hair, the poolside mirrors have never been cleaned .I’ve never seen such a dirty steamroom and pool. Dust everywhere, Absolutely no respect for customers.
Negative experience: Joined in November mainly because of the spa facility’s. I’ve never seen such a dirty steamroom and pool. You literally see dirt dripping down the walls in the steam room, has the most foul smell. I have emailed a complaint twice and haven’t heard anything back as I want to cancel my membership however nobody gets back to you once you’re a member! The gym is to compact with hardly any mirrors and restricted machines compared to other gyms I’ve used. Not happy I am a locked in for a year. I would not choose this gym if I’d of know this before signing up.
Fantastic experience: My teenage son goes here regularly and he swears it is the best gym around. Great staff , ready to help.
Negative experience: There is only one ez curl bar in entire gym which is really annoying. Wi-Fi is not working properly most of the time and no signal inside

Fantastic experience: The new refurb is great, equipment is good quality and there’s a lot of it. Obviously as it is a commercial gym it gets busy at peak times but during the day or mornings it is quieter. Staff are friendly and club is clean.

Fantastic experience: This is my local gym. Must say, very happy with everything. Staff are friendly and active. Pools always clean. Equipment is very high class. Just a great place to unwind and exercise.
Negative experience: I was offered £5 for first month during the refurb. It wasn't possible to take it up online. When the gym opened the staff were unable to help. I ended up being charged full price. I was excited to see how they had done with the refurb they had a great steam room pool and jacuzzis. The only thing missing was a sauna. What a disappointment, no sauna the jacuzzis had gone! At least they still had the steam room. Oh but it's never working now. This gym is now a £20/mth gym but they are still charging £32/mth. I will need to look further afield to find a new gym now shame.

Negative experience: I have spoken to the Manager and other staff members regarding the hygiene of this gym on so many occasions and not a single thing changes. I am constantly told that they are short of staff, this is no excuse, hygiene should be top priority. But nobody cares, hence why you never see a response to the reviews. The showers are disgusting with clumps of hair and used plasters left behind. This was the case before they refurbished the whole shower area black, in hope that you wouldn't see the grime which is still a problem now. The poolside is always dirty with used plasters and chewing gum, the poolside mirrors have never been cleaned so don't expect to see a clear reflection of yourself in them. Staff, visitors and maintenance men walk around the pool area with outdoor shoes and no shoe covers. You can only imagine what grime and residue is left behind. I've seen odd bits floating in the pool, please don't ask what it is because I couldn't tell you. I refuse to use the pool now. As for the steam room, it never seems to work and is often closed. Probably a blessing to be honest as it is filthy and a breading space for bacteria due to never being cleaned. I believed that the refurbishment would bring positive changes to the hygiene of the gym, unfortunately not, so I will be looking for a new gym.
Negative experience: Me & my friend went today via a free day pass. We used the pool and steam room which both smelt of body odour and the tiles in the pool had obvious dirt. The showers and changing rooms looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned for a while. I can’t comment on the gym itself but I’d definitely not recommend this aspect of it.

Negative experience: As a returning customer I was really not happy with being kicked out the boxing section half way through my work out because you didn't have the foresight to put ur classes on in a studio instead of in the open gym i pay to use the gym in its entirety not as and when it suits you
Hi Jamie , our boxing section is our studio for our Haymaker classes. They feature a Hiit workout of boxing and weights a great workout and worth giving a try!

Communication and customer service never ceases to shock me - paid £30 for this month, last day today before a refurb and they cancel classes and say see you in 4 weeks, then send an email saying bring a friend free offer for the next week ….. Nottingham is shut Get a “free “ month in September ….. not really free is it when you are shut for at least 4 weeks in a 8 week period …. Subject to work finishing in time !!!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing and friendly place . The staff are so lovely , there isn't a thing that is too much trouble for them . I was very nervous but Nikita who was on the desk at the time made me feel very welcome and I really felt comfortable there . I would highly recommend anyone to join .

Negative experience: I can only review the gym as that's all we use our membership for: The WiFi hasn't worked properly since I've joined in November 2021, so download your Spotify playlists before you go in! If you use a cloud based fitness app, you're going to struggle. There's been 2 step machines out of service since we got our membership, which I would like to have used with my partner. The gym is a good size but it does suffer with overcrowding. Unless your coming in for a cardio session, you can forget creating a fitness plan, you'll be waiting for every weight, bar or machine. If you don't mind working something out on the fly, this is just a mild inconvenience. I've found it's only really useable between 8-9pm. I'll be transferring my membership elsewhere when the 12 months is up, I've had memberships at a few fitness clubs, this place isn't competing with pure or anytime fitnes.

Negative experience: Would not touch this place with a barge pole. Out dated equipment. Damaged machines. Leaking boxing bags. Smelly steam room. Unreliable sauna.Unlike other gyms where you can cancel anytime. You have to wait a lengthy 3 months before cancelling your direct debit which would anger a lot of people in this day and age. Surely 30 days is a long enough notice period for any company but not this one.They are only interested in your money for very little return and poor service Please be advised of all ts and Cs before joining. Absolute waste of money.Many good gyms around.No need to come back to this one. Anyway. lf you are thinking about joining.. Good Luck You will need it.

Negative experience: Haven't been a member since it was DW two years ago. They've suddenly renewed my contract even though I've never been in or contacted them !! I've suddenly started to have £31 direct debit taken from my account so contacted the Nottingham gym and twice they never bothered to call me back. Head office is a joke , 45 minutes waiting time to answer your call . If zero stars would have been an option , I'd have given that , what a pathetic way to run a gym !!

Negative experience: The staff are the only redeeming feature of the gym. They've always been very lovely, and helpful. However the equipment/facilities are extremely dated and often are not working. The steam room is actually disgusting (don't look up). Only one of the two jacuzzis have ever worked in all my 6 months of membership, and the pool is very cold. The most concerning thing to me are the extremely shady T's & C's . Why would you morally charge someone for three months after they've quit? Netflix don't do it, Spotify don't do it, infact WHO DOES THAT?? Pure greed. Gross. So you clearly have a bunch of hoarded cash, why are the facilities so appalling? Also, the scheduling of yoga needs to be seriously looked at....... Who can do a mindful, calming yoga session when there is a super loud, high octane exercise class in the room next door! Someone at the top is laughing all the way to the bank at our expense.

Negative experience: Has the atmosphere of a morgue. Awful music you would think has deliberately been chosen as the worst possible gym music. Clearly Mike Ashley doesn’t want to pay for a music licence. Then to top it off the awful music gets interrupted with stupid adverts for the lottery and marks and Spencer’s. Desperately in need of a refurb. The staff are awesome.and that’s the only reason it isn’t 1 star.

Negative experience: Good range of equipment, middle of the road for price for the facilities (pool, jacuzzi’s and sauna). Can take a fair amount of time to repair broken machinery / pool stuff. Edit - after dealing with the cancellation it is a pain to do.
Positive experience: Staff friendly, good rang of equipment but very slow to repair when broken. Sadly no one checking customers clean down. ( mostly, but not all, men)
Negative experience: Cancelled my membership which had ran out anyway - know one replied to my emails for months and months so I contacted the back to stop my payments which they confirmed was correct thing to do and now Everlast trying to charge me 6 months later -

Positive experience: Currently still going over a change from DW Fitness to Everlast. Lovely Staff. Internet connection in the gym/changing rooms and waiting area hasn't worked for a long time. Really wish users of the gym would actually clear up wipes hand tissue after use rather than letting the staff or another user do it -.-
