Springs lite gym: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Great gym with lots of machines and space to work out, all helpped out by a friendly face on the desk and great changing rooms
Fantastic experience: Love the classes at this gym, zumba especially with Claire and Jane
Negative experience: Been 3 years since I been to gym ,thought I go back and gave it another go being local to me ,I could not believe it was still the same old stuff and same old signs out of order on machines ,nothings changed at all ,and the machines were dated back then so even worse now
Negative experience: Too expensive for the out of order old fashion machines and the little size of the gym , its really too expensive
Negative experience: I used to really like this gym but not anymore. Very dated always has equipment out of use for months on end showers are vile not worth the money they charge owners dont seem to care about the gym at all and the company they employ to manage the direct debits ect harlands group are appalling, rude, un helpful and arrogant.
Negative experience: Do something about the most used piece of equipment being the 'Out of order' sign. £24.99 a month for ageing & 'out of order' equipment and a floor devoid of any 'qualified' instructors became a joke. Noise from zumba class was overwhelming at times and unnecessary. So I cancelled.
Fantastic experience: Great friendly gym, loads of great classes too.
Negative experience: Just an example of the checks obviously springs do on there equipment baring in mind one treadmill has been out of order for over 3 months ,some others aren't always working properly ,some of the pins for equipment are missing or damaged as can see ,payments dont come out when stated to agreement, staff aren't bothered unless your face fits ,for example las charges me £2 to re new my card ,one of the guys didnt charge me or my partner for it ,las never says hello just blanks u scans card that's it unless someone she likes and has a good chat while ur waiting to be scanned in and carrys on while she scans u in still blanking u ,top of that prices are going up but supposedly for paying staff not to improve the gym in anyway ,that's my experience as may vary ,
Negative experience: It's a shame as this has the potential to be a really good gym but they just don't want to invest the money. It's looking very tired and dated now, some of the equipment has been broken for months with no sign of being fixed and they have the cheek to put the prices up without fixing any of the issues or investing in new and modern equipment! The customer service is non existent, if you have any questions or problems don't expect any help from the staff as they'll tell you to ring a phone number where no one ever answers the phone. There are plenty of classes to choose from and it's a central location next to all the shops so that's handy however most of the classes are either in the morning when most people are at work, or late in the evenings so I can't really attend any which is unfair as I feel like I'm missing out on loads of classes I'd really like to try such as pilates and zumba strong. The whole place needs to close for a couple of months for a full refurbishment, new management and a total revision of the timetable for the classes.
Positive experience: Good value considering class s are included in the membership, but the equipment (especially cardio machines) are in dire need of repairs/replacements. Many of the cross trainers/ treadmills are either faulty or broken and have been for months.
Positive experience: Too much sweat
Fantastic experience: This gym is a fair size and do a great membership for a year at a reasonable price. It includes all classes and there’s a mixed larger gym or a ladies gym too. Only thing I miss is a pool..
Positive experience: Great little gym. Only £20 per month.
Negative experience: It's got what you need and there is always parking but the equipment is dated and often broken. They also have daft rules like no deadlifting after they fitted a deadlift matt on an non reinforced floor and somebody dropped a weight through the floor. It's also not very good value because it's really the only option in the area with parking.
Positive experience: Good kit and a reasonable monthly price.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym and well worth the monthly subscription especially if you go to the classes as well as the gym. I absolutely love Zumba and clubbercise, so much fun! Instructors are first class and very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place to anyone!
Positive experience: Good gym
Positive experience: Good gym with a lot of machines, air conditioned and helpful staff. Not the most modern looking.
Positive experience: Great gym, reasonable prices
