Negative experience: Front desk NEVER answer phone.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff, good facilities and cafe. Everything you can ask for a small town gym. Really love that it’s located in the local park so you can go for a lovely hike after your workout!:)

Negative experience: We went to play badminton today but the lady at the reception was rude. Our friend booked a court from 1-3pm but he wasn't able to come. We know we were an hour late but it was so unnecessary for her to ask why we didn't you show up at 1pm. That's none of your business, lady! The worst thing was whilst we were playing, a lady came to us to ask if our friend who booked the court was there and we said no so the lady said we'll need to pay for it instead. Then after 10 mins a guy came up to us as well and asked the same question. Come on! Just let us play in peace. We already agreed to pay. We're never coming back to this leisure centre. We've been playing in so many leisure centres and this is the first time we're experienced this. It was like we were being harassed. Very disappointing!

Fantastic experience: Gym is perfect plenty of machines and very good equipment Staff are friendly and helpful Changing rooms are spotless and modern very good centre overall

Fantastic experience: Monday Night Football on the 3G pitch Is great but would be better if the council would strim the shrubbery so we can find our footballs

Fantastic experience: I got a full membership that gives me accessibility to all South Downs leisure centres near me. Lancing Manor is by far the best in terms of gym facilities as well as kid’s entertainment. The health suit is closed at the moment and that’s a shame but out of all the leisure centres I always preferred coming here.

Positive experience: Good space for badminton

Positive experience: A great park to walk with your dog. Pathways to Mac Intyres Field, and Lancing Ring for an extended walk to the Dew pond and surrounding woodland. Wonderful views over the coastal plain and towards the Seven Sisters, lots of places to sit and take in the beauty. A dog friendly coffee shop at the leisure centre and free parking makes it a perfect place to spend a few hours.

Negative experience: Attended a child's football party here today which was great. Just a shame that the lady at the desk was so rude! Telling all the excited children they were too loud in a very angry tone i dont know what she e pects when there are 30 excited children waiting, then telling parents also but in a rude disgusting attitude.

Positive experience: Still a bit muddy

Negative experience: Rejoined after taken over by Southdown Leisure. Please fix the water pressure on the men’s showers, the pressure is not up to standard. Shower floors are dirty, it needs a good pressure wash. Men’s toilet smells of urine, mentioned this to the staff and nothing was done, it seems, apart from using more spray. This place was kept immaculate when it was operated by Impulse, seems to have gone down hill since new management. The equipment is out of order for a long time, been a member for over 2 months and the same things are still out of use.

Positive experience: I love coming to this gym. They have good equipment which is always clean and it's relevant place. Staff are nice and the toilets and shower rooms are also always clean tidy. I have also tried a couple of lessons and they were fun and good exercise. Is easy to park as they have a huge carpark and it feels safe even if it gets a bit late at night. The only suggestion I have is to put something like a shelf in the showers to place showergel/shampoo and a hook to hang towels

Positive experience: First time using this gym again since I was last a member approximately 10 years ago! Has since been taken over by a new company (South Downs Leisure) the 1st floor gym is really good, all new equipment and a good variety. Unfortunately it seems the male showers and changing rooms have been neglected, haven’t been touched for many years, likewise the saunas/steam room - tiles missing, not efficient anymore and generally just feel tired and unhygienic. Just needs a little more money invested to bring it up to scratch!

Negative experience: Absolute absurd pricing for what is, at best, a subpar gym. Yes, while I can appreciate that the price is “rectified” by the access to facilities across the country, I simply cannot understand where the price point was formulated? Quite clearly out of touch with the market they reside.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the take over of new management. Clearly they have some way to bring the centre back up to scratch

Negative experience: Hired the 3g pitch in the evening. We could barely see the ball and play. They have replaced the floodlights for some cheap domestic floodlights ....shockingly bad...

Negative experience: Don’t try and use the cafe if you have children. My friend and I were made to feel very unwelcome by both other customers and staff, on a day where they run the mighty mites session no less! Will not be attending ever again

Fantastic experience: Brilliant felt very comfortable and pleasant staff

Negative experience: It is very difficult to take seriously a club that does not give support the clients who mostly need exercise. I am disabled and in several occasions I could not park my car in a space reserved for blue badge holders because other cars were using these spaces without displaying the required blue badge. I complained to the manager of Impulse Leisure, but he does not seem interested in the matter and he said I should contact the Council. The problem seems to be worse when there are morning classes.

Negative experience: What an absolute joke!!! Went to a child party here.. Nothing was set up when the parents of the child arrived so late start.. Staff were rude ushering everyone into an adjoining room for food before they should have because they needed to set the room up for another party.. Some kids didn't get chance to play so were in tears.. We were shut in the room so when the candles on the cake were lit the fire alarm went off.. I ended up having to leave as I didn't come prepared to stand outside in the wet and cold with my baby... Would not recommend having a party here.. Manager needs customer service training...

Positive experience: Thought it might be good to add a review as what I'm reading doesn't reflect my experiences. The gym area with the machines has recently been renovated and as such has a very modern and wide range of machines that are really very good. Classes there are many and varied. The place is very clean and the staff on the whole are friendly and approachable. Great place if like me you do a couple of sessions on the machines and a class or two per week.
