Negative experience: Absolutely terrible gym not worth the money at all for a standard nuffield gym they have everything these guys dont also steam room stinks not even hot no jacuzzi sometimes sauna broke few days an YET they charge £50 plus NO WAY that is worth rather go whitehouse or mercure much better staffs good except the one with ginger hair

Positive experience: Facilities and staff great....However. No swimming timetable online. Lots of different swim classes for kids etc, so it would be REALLY handy if these times were on your website. Have commented on this before, and unfortunately nothing has been done as of yet. C'mon Nuffield it can't be difficult, surely.
Fantastic experience: Started about a week ago, had my gym induction with Amber who was lovely! Made me feel very at ease and gave me a workout plan to suit me and my needs, which I will be using! The pool is lovely too! Met a few really nice members. Looking forward to carrying on gym-ing here
Positive experience: It's quite nice. Counter staff are polite. Other members are generally friendly. Lots of parking if you don't mind a short walk. Some areas could do with a deep clean and machine maintenance could be better. Better and bigger than most other gyms in the area. And you get to watch the fatties grab a mackies while you work out.
Negative experience: So as my first comment I uploaded a few days ago was deleted on here this one will be screenshot straight away once uploaded on here so I have proof to take it to head office if it happens again, anyway Where was I …. Right.. • steam room stinks of urine •men’s changing rooms shower doors don’t close properly •sauna trips out continually •pool has dirt in the corners •gym bikes up stairs haven’t been fixed for months •disable door in mens changing rooms doesn’t lock properly •showers never cleaned properly The amount of times I’ve had conversations with all mangers is MANY times One bats his eyelids The others smerk and grin behind the counter it’s GRIM to even have to write this on here but I’ve been coming to this gym for over a year now , the attitude of the staff is DISGUSTING!!!! They laugh and slander you behind your back and think it’s okay to ignore your requests, little do they know who a mystery shopper is nowadays. This will be took Above all there heads DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM They even get there own people to write fake reviews on here too, I can say there is probably 2-3 people in there that are good hearted The rest are SLANDERERS!!! *** this message will be screenshot so proof my end will be there in case they feel to delete my comment again **** , also photos will be took very soon and uploaded on here to prove what I’m saying IF the problems don’t get solved. It’s ment to be a HEALTH centre Not a swine farm.
Fantastic experience: I have been a member since August 2022 and really love the atmosphere and personal training. Handy cafe with a nice range of food. Staff are polite and other members are friendly and chatty. Changing area can be dirty sometimes in the evening so I stick to attending before 2pm, although cleanliness has improved over the past few months when I have gone for an evening swim. Gym always has equipment out of order, but maybe that happens at all gyms? If you are a hardcore weight lifter you may need more than what's on offer. During certain times when classes are on the carpark fills up sometimes but I find that if I just wait a minute or two someone leaves the gym and a space becomes available. I am never waiting long. Overall I recommend Nuffield as a great place to workout and connect with people, especially if you are new to the gym. There are people of all ages and abilities and you will always feel welcome.
Negative experience: Came 4 free trial equipment filthy and steam room needs deep clean.dried snot on seated area. Jaccuzzi switched off.till.April ? Thats poor management decision not worth £47 pcm no chance

Fantastic experience: Big shoutout to Stuart from Nuffield Café He’s always so positive and smiling and just makes a difference when you go to the gym, literally improves the mood seeing someone so happy about life This morning he served an excellent breakfast despite being incredibly busy and manning the Cafe all by himself Impeccable customer service!
Negative experience: Worst gym in Telford avoid manager lady Terri she couldn’t run a bath let alone this place !! The amount of times the jacuzzi has been out of order I may as well of just had a bath at home and when you email she is sarcastic and very unprofessional. I went in today for the first time in a month and wow everything was working okay I mean it was a miracle. It wasn’t all bad for the first few months the place was a pleasure to attend and the reception staff are always lovely however if your wanting somewhere to go where you have to kinda guess all the time if it’s open I’d avoid.
Fantastic experience: A wide variety of equipment, weights, fitness classes, pool, sauna etc for all your fitness needs. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Negative experience: Been member for 3 years. Struggling every day to find a working locker in the changing room. Lockers are not being fixed. Since 3 years nothing has been done to improve this. Im changing the locker while writing this rewiev as after unpacking everything to a free one it turned out that the button's don't work. Every day I see other members getting frustrated about that.
Negative experience: Avoid!!! - Be careful what you're signing!!!!! They decided to change the pool layout after the covid restrictions were lifted. Leaving only one swimming lane in the "swimming pool", as I was told I could cancel any time, no problem by the manager when I signed up, I thought it would be easy. It wasn't. I was told by the manager on the day I cancelled, that I had signed a contract and that I needed to give 30 days notice. So they have taken another £50 from my account, for me to be able to cancel my membership. I was not told that I was signing a contract and was misinformed by the manger that that I could cancel anytime "no problem". I feel like I have been mislead, ignored and treated terribly. Avoid at all costs.
Negative experience: I haven’t been at the gym for a while as we all know is been closed because the lockdown, today I decided to go and I was very excited as well, I have been contemplating to change gym for a while as few of the machines were broken and although I reported few times they never seemed to be bothered to fix them. I thought as the gym is being closed for long time they have enough time to fixe them. Today I was there and the machines still not repair, i also had a machine snap on me and I landed on my back, very painful. I’m very disappointed and with the experience today I think is time to change as I don’t think that is worth it 35 pounds a month anymore.
Negative experience: Hi I spoke to Kerry in October as me and my husband do not feel safe enough to return to the Gym. I have not been to the Gym since March. I expressed my concerns as requested to cancel. It was explained to me at the time that I can only cancel if I have my contract has been on hold for 6 months and that if I call in January I can cancel my contract. When phoning today to begin with it was denied and after I asked for my notes to be checked it was said that your policy has since changed. I am extremely upset and wish to take this matter further. I feel it is unsafe to return to the Gym and feel it will be unsafe for a long time as we don't know how effective the vaccination will be. I have been lied to and why when your policy changed I did not get any notification?
Fantastic experience: Sophie and Jo! What great service you provided for us all - sorted out us right out this evening. Highly recommend going, and as a plus for the dog photos!
Fantastic experience: After double knee replacement signed up to join the Nuffield Gym to aid recovery. I feel so well looked after, the Physios are there to answer questions and the fitness instructors are very well qualified to deal with any problems or advice that is needed.
Fantastic experience: I have been coming here over the past year, everyone is so lovely, helpful and friendly. Good variety of equipment which is all well maintained and kept clean. Chin is a fantastic personal trainer i would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to improve their fitness as he is so motivating and changes each session to keep it fun and varied.

Positive experience: Needs a lot of updating, staff are pleasant, place nice and clean But Seriously they need to sort out all the equipment that are broken . Went in this week and 2 rowing Machines out of three we’re out of order. Cable pull down was out also. and a bike was also broke plus god knows how long the jacuzzi has been down for now But despite all that it’s a good place to exercise
Negative experience: On the positive side, it’s a good gym, with good facilities, some staff there are very friendly & that’s mainly the cafe staff. On the negative side, it’s a pain to park, it’s very difficult to get a space for a class, some front of house staff don’t even say hello or goodbye & 1 management staff! Fran, very rude! when I had a problem today she was completely unhelpful & unsympathetic.
Positive experience: Pretty good and not too busy - has a rack where two people can share at once plus a smith machine, and about 4/5 benches with lots of free weights. Nice pool and spa too.
Positive experience: I'd like to say I have been going to many gyms all around the country for several years and now I'm a qualified Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer from London. So, this gym is OK. But it lacks in many respects what we should expect from a 'Health Fitness & Wellbeing Gym'. My main quip is the customer service generally. The cleaners are the nicest people there. I have often gone and shown my membership card and worked out and left without even the receptionists saying a, 'Hello or Goodbye'. This is ESSENTIAL for members motivation and to make people feel they are part of a club atmosphere. I had a 'health fitness test' with a PT and they were so despondent I may as well not had been there at all. The weights area needs more attention too. Weights are always disorganised and there is no system or labels. THIS is basic for a gym. Paper towels are often empty too. I have given 3 stars because it is a very clean gym including the changing rooms and pool. Equipment is kept to a good standard with very little being needed for repair. But the atmosphere needs to change. This isn't just me either, seems as I talk to people about it they agree or know people who feel the same. It's £31 a month for me, which is a dam sight cheaper than my London memberships. I dread to think the retention rate in this place after January. If you're reading this guys. Get your staff more motivational and positive! Apart from a lovely blonde girl who is the nicest by far! GIVE HER A RAISE!
Negative experience: I tried this Gym on a few occasions There are some good things there but the manager has a really bad attitude and over shadows any of the good points. I think she gives the Nuffield brand a very bad name.

Fantastic experience: Joined recently with my partner. Instantly got a good feel for the place, professional, clean, staff polite & informative. Signed up straight away and haven't been disappointed. The gym is never that busy you can't do what you want & all the the staff are approachable for help or advice. The pool/steam/sauna & hot tub are all you need at a gym and the changing rooms tidy also. The health MOT is a really good idea too.

Negative experience: We went in to have a look to see if the cafe was open and to see the pool and gym. My partner stayed downstairs with the baby and was questioned "why have you come here ?". I also was spoken to very unprofessionally by the same lady from the reception desk who had know idea how to speak to customers. I will be looking elsewhere to join a gym.

Negative experience: Firstly the jacuzzi is freezing and never hot. Secondly; when I cancelled my membership on doctors order using their website; they claimed they did not get the message! Interestingly enough I used their own website with their own forms! I was waiting for a 48hrs for response but nothing! Nuffield staff rang me and she was very unpleasant and rude demanding money from me. I was going to go back but their attitude put me off! I have medical condition and they showed no sympathy only wanted money. She was so rude. I will be going elsewhere
Negative experience: I am a regular swimmer and have been here at Nuffield. I have today cancelled my membership. On many occasions the pool temperature is too hot for a serious swimmer (not just my opinion also) so hot it's difficult to catch your breath. It doesn't appear to be regulated, one day its hot (so take your shower gell and sponge in the pool with you) and the next day its just warm. There has been what looks like grit or sand in the bottom of the pool, a fellow swimmer only yeterday commented on the amount of hair floating in the water, as she removed it from her mouth. The water on many occasions is cloudy which I understand to be over chlorinated. I have brought these matters, and I'm sure others must have done too, to the staff on reception. They are always very polite and apologetic, but the problems persist. So if you want water aerobics, just to stand in the water and wave your arms about, I think that would be fine. Serious swimmer, don't go there.
