Guests appreciate the hotel's convenience, with ample parking available for only £5 per day and a close proximity to the airport, making it an excellent choice for overnight stays before flights.

While some reviews mention cleanliness issues and dated decor, many guests have found their rooms to be adequately clean and comfortable for short stays. However, the bar offers reasonably priced drinks, and many guests have praised the friendly and helpful staff who enhance the overall experience.

  • A lovely indoor swimming pool, great for relaxation after travel.
  • Comfortable beds for a good night's sleep before flights.

Despite some maintenance and cleanliness concerns, many have enjoyed their stay and appreciated the value for the price point, particularly if only needing a one-night stopover. Many customers expressed plans to return, especially for its excellent location and pool facilities.

Fantastic experience: We had an overnight stay including 3 course evening meal and breakfast with 15 days parking, whilst we were on holiday, and found the price to be extremely good value. We will definitely be staying again if we fly from Leeds in the future and would recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience: lot of space for car park. Hotel is a bit far from the airport.

Positive experience: The room down the side of the bed just pure dust

Negative experience: No food in the hotel from 8pm ‍♂️

Positive experience: Myself and my friend stayed 31st Dec to 1st Jan, fast and easy to book in. Amazing reception, lovely and homey. Got to our room, I was shocked at how dirty it was. The bath still had hair and dirt in it, the vent in the bathroom had mould on it. There was hairs, stains and marks on the bedding aswell. Everything else was spot on, they just need a different cleaner cos the one they have now certainly is not doing their job.

Fantastic experience: So happy with my stay. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are good, they have everything you need, trouser press, iron, kettle and refreshments. I used the pool, it was lovely and warm. The food was good, worth the money. This is a relaxed hotel. Parking was easy. Very happy.

Negative experience: Got chargerd a £100 parking fine. After I paid for parking and give the reg. Contacted reception told to email and that they might be able to cancel the fine. “Might”! Really poor service. As a guest with a disability really really poor.

Positive experience: Basic hotel but clean. Room very cold on arrival as windows open Reception staff by pleasant man but looked like he was a lorry driver waiting to be served himself. WiFi is charged useful for getting your head down for a night. Not a place I would like a onger stay in.

Negative experience: Absolutely repulsive hotel. We left within 30 minutes of check in. It’s dirty to the point of disgusting, outdated and you can hear next doors conversations and every step outside the room. It also felt very unsafe and I was concerned about leaving the car overnight. They also charge for parking and to use the leisure facilities, even when you’re a guest. Don’t be fooled by the low prices, this place is grim beyond belief. I would never come back here.

Positive experience: We recently booked a nights stay with 11 nights parking at the Britannia for a holiday flying from Leeds and Bradford airport. The taxi company was unreliable, going to airport we had to share with another couple due to shortage of taxis. On our return we had a two hour wait to get a taxi (that was pre booked and paid for at the hotel before leaving on holiday) back to the hotel. This is not acceptable and would suggest the hotel will lose business if they continue to use this taxi company. There was no other option at the airport so we were are at their mercy. Please please review this service. We for one will not repeat the experience.

Negative experience: Bit of a dump. Building looks like a Bulgarian halls of residence from the 80s. Classic UK hotel; reception won't book you a taxi, no WiFi in the room, two tubes of crap coffee and a kettle. Cheap (as things go) but pretty rubbish. Only stay if you really need to. Have you considered camping?

Positive experience: The room was adequate, but needs some updating. The breakfast was lovely, but the chef needs to learn how to cook potatoes as the evening meals were inedible. There was no choice of potatoes, only roasted which he really needs to learn how to cook them.

Negative experience: A budget hotel is a budget hotel. The room was very basic. My partner arranged a surprise for me and pre-ordered a bottle of wine and flowers. We got a bottle of wine and some cheapy shortbread and fudge with a note saying "Happy birthday" (it wasn't anyone's birthday). No flowers. Apparently, they got his email for the request but didn't take any notice. Nor did they email him back to say what was/not available. The bathroom was not the best and could do with a good clean and enough shower gel and lotion bottles for 2 would be appreciated. We booked this place because the website and the signs around the hotel said there was a jacuzzi, steam, and sauna. Jacuzzi, yes, sauna, single sex (not ideal if you're with your partner) and no steam room. We asked the lady in the health centre about the steam room and she replied "we don't have one" We decided to look in the in- house restaurant for an evening meal. Practically nothing for vegetarians, so we ended up in a lovely restaurant in Guiseley. Overall, it's not worth a second stay. My recommendations: have a decent ironing board in the room, give the bathroom a good clean, and don't advertise facilities that don't exist. Sorry, but I would advise people to stay anywhere but here, unless they were literally looking a quick nap before a flight and had eaten beforehand.

Positive experience: Recently stayed 4 nights at this hotel with a coach tour. After reading old reviews I think it may have been a different hotel!! We were greeted by friendly staff, the room was good, the bed was good, the food was good, the place was clean. All in all a good experience.

Positive experience: Went here to do a speed awareness course it was very busy and i was lucky to be dropped off as everyone was complaining about the parking, pity it was not a parking awareness course it was ridiculous, the hotel was nice inside toilets clean, the conference room nice, thats all i saw as i was out in a flash.

Negative experience: Poor first impression with cars jammed in wherever possible including grass verges. Rooms were tired. Clean enough but mould stains round bath and old blood stain on shower curtain. Parking is £5 per night; free Wi-Fi only in foyer £7 for premium in rooms: incredibly poor phone signal throughout. Breakfast was poor. Instant (bad!) coffee. Thinnest bread slices I have ever seen. Ingredients felt bulk bought at lowest post price point and was not worth £12.50. I’d drive down to the ring road and go to McDonald’s instead. Gym small but functional £4. I’d return if nothing else available. Best thing about the place is the short walk to the Fox & Hounds pub in Bramhope!

Danielle Marshall 1 year ago

Negative experience: The one star was literally only earned by the afternoon tea, which was delicious. I am however disgusted by the rest of the place. Really unwelcoming reception staff, the booking said we would have towels provided for the pool, we never received any. We went specifically for the afternoon tea and jacuzzi, and when we arrived the jacuzzi was taped off. No warning that facilities were out of use or an offer to rebook. The place is also really dirty!! Pictures of the dirty pool and changing area added

Negative experience: Restaurant not open. Bar menu very limited....pizza, burger, lasagne. Chips. Plate of cheese? Not available. No food after 20.00hrs. Should be 21.00. Chef having a moment? Read other reviews, theres a pattern and not great. Pool shuts early on a Sunday. Hotel tired. Carpets not very clean. Reception staff could do with a lesson in smiling and being welcoming. No. Would not stay again, or recommend.

Negative experience: As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the most unhelpful member of staff on check in, she ignored my questions about parking 3 times before finally acknowledging and answering, the room is dated and the whole hotel looked old run down and unloved. We went to the bar to have to wait for 10 minutes for a member of staff to turn up to serve people to be given no apology for the delay and the coldest of greeting with a what can I get you, this place feels so unloved that even the staff don’t want to be here. This is the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to book on my route to the airport for my holiday, I have stayed in a Britannia hotel previously but on this latest experience I will never stay again!

Negative experience: Slow staff, horrible food (staff couldn't tell us what the dessert was because it looked so deformed), constant issues and even after leaving this nightmare of a hotel the issues don't stop. Got a fine for not paying the parking fee. Filled in all that we needed to fill in at the service desk, thanks Britannia!

Negative experience: Honestly, the worse worst experience ever. I could give a minus 5 if I could!!! When I was checking in, two ladies were in the reception- one middle eastern with Hijab, another older lady with hoarse voice, they literally didn’t acknowledge my existence whatsoever, I was standing there for a good 60 seconds, they were talking about their own business, I was standing there like “ hello, excuse me, can I check in?” Even if they said: sorry sir give us two seconds, I wouldn’t feel that bad, but they didn’t!!! The Middle East lady had a glance at me but still ignored me, at that point I was honestly losing my patience, really bad vibes already, another good 30 seconds later finally checked me in. Imagine when you go to hotel to check in, receptionists literally ignore you and you standing there like an idiot??? Terrible terrible experience. The room shower head wasn’t working, trying to phone the receptionist, the old lady with husky voice picked up the call, she was really impatient, hanged up my call before I finished my sentence… did send a maintenance guy called Tom to my room, can’t fault him at all, he was trying to help. But eventually I requested a new room as the shower head couldn’t be fixed. When I was checking out, I asked for parking VAT receipt, the guy from reception said will email me, however, I have not received anything. Terrible again. Really disappointed with my experience. Service was absolutely shocking.

Positive experience: Stayed at the hotel before our flight staff were friendly and check in easy hotel was clean and tidy but basic.we were not impressed the next morning with the £17 transfer to the airport the next morning (only 10 minutes up the road) it wasn't even a return transfer as we didn't have a car at the hotel

Matthew Gribbin 1 year ago

Negative experience: I rarely complain but feel this necessary . The quality of our first room 116 was a disgrace, dirty, poor finish, tiny, damp smell. We were moved to 227, not much better quality. The lift was broken so had to carry 2 x cases up and downstairs with no offer of help . The final straw was a prebooked meal with a bottle of wine, only to be told only bar food was only available. All for £145, possibly the worst hotel I have stayed in, my work takes me all across the country and have stayed in many. I feel the online selling and photography is out of date and not a true reflection on the hotel. We would have cancelled but could not find any alternative local to the airport at short notice

Leon Das 1 year ago

Positive experience: Very basic hotel. Looks good for a cheap stay to get to the airport. People seemed to be having a good time in the bar waiting for flights. There’s gym and swimming available for non guests as well. Again all very basic. The lad on reception was very helpful. Things seemed clean enough just not modern or in some cases in good condition. The pool was ok. Jacuzzi was very nice.

Stephanie 1 year ago

Negative experience: BED BUGS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS We found bed bugs in our first room and we were moved to a second room. We thought we would give that the once over and we found more bed bugs in that one. The lady at the front desk was terribly rude. Totally understand it is not her fault but she was laughing at the situation. When I spoke to her manager, she asked me what I wanted her to do about it as she doesn't even work on reception. We are still chasing a refund although we were told we would get one. You have to pay for parking, for wifi and for pool usage. Disgusting.

Negative experience: A very disappointing stay all round. The room was very basic and cold. In need of decoration and attention to detail in the bathroom. Booked dinner, breakfast and fly and stay package. When we went down to dinner told that the restaurant was not open and had to eat in the bar. Poor choice of either Lasagna or margarita pizza for main. They were both very poor quality and not enjoyable. Breakfast was acceptable……just….. Will definitely not stay there again. A very bad start to our holiday.

Fantastic experience: Me n my boy love it here , swimming pool is lovely and warm Staff so attentive and welcoming Rooms .... beds ever so comfy , everything you could possibly need is in there

Positive experience: Pretty decent hotel especially for traveling to the airport. They let you park there for your whole holiday and offer a booked £24 return taxi to and from the airport. It has a slightly outdated in terms of the décor but nice nonetheless. The restaurant only serves a set carvery style menu though

Negative experience: The hotel and room were fine, a member of staff I first dealt with there was very rude, will not be staying here again. It's a pity that I can't give the service less than 1 star

gav toal 1 year ago

Positive experience: Dated and could do with some looking at dirty curtains the radiator warm at the bottom cold at the top with no way of turning it up and the wind was getting past the window seals ( maybe other rooms are better I don't know) the plus point is it is 5 minutes from the airport

Carol Tuffin 1 year ago

Positive experience: Not a bad place to stay for a night. Rooms spacious and clean. Nice large and clean bathroom. Food very nice and breakfast buffet was amazing.

Nicholas Hadfield 1 year ago

Negative experience: Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting family in Leeds. £125. Room quite dated and clean but had a strong smell of smoke - seemingly from when you could smoke in the room (now non smoking) and the carpet/soft furnishings have taken on the smell. Bed okay. Room size good but bathroom very small with pealing bath/tile paint and loo with a very weak flush. Communal areas better than rooms. Have to pay to park, pay for WiFi, pay for gym, pay to swim and pay for breakfast separately so I expect paying slightly more somewhere else that includes these would be better value. Staff were polite and welcoming at check in. Wouldn't recommend to stay.

Positive experience: Went on a coach trip staying here for 2 nights after reading the reviews was so pleasantly surprised room clean and obviously recently decorated water hot and shower refreshing evening meal good ample amounts and choice and breakfast that set us up for the day as ample no not the most popular brands but still tasty When you put the price you pay into perspective you can’t expect fine dining Staff very respectful and hard working a fab weekend We also had access to leisure facilities included in package added bonus which was very relaxing

Joanne Fox 1 year ago

Positive experience: Basic hotel, ok for price. Not that clean and the rooms were very run down. Cheap and close to the airport so not too bad for one night. A room on our floor had the door smashed open which was disconcerting. Staff at bar were nice but hotel staff hard to come by.

Alexandru Mugurel Cicu 1 year ago

Positive experience: Kinda used with the bad reputation of the hotels around the country. In the middle of nowhere but kinda the closest to the airport the hotel is let's say ok. I requested a wake-up call service at the reception for both of our rooms and nobody bothered to call and wake us up , thank God we did set the alarm on our phones otherwise we would've missed our early flights. The food at the restaurant is probably the worst food I had but the service is ok. Don't buy the house wine as it tastes like crushed paracetamol with water and it will be a waste of money, you won't drink it. The room was clean but the outside floor was very noisy. The bathroom was clean but the bathroom products were used or half empty. Not impressed at all. Absolutely no free WiFi so that sucked! Bad!

Alex 2 years ago

Negative experience: I'd say cheap and cheerful but this hotel is neither of those things. The whole place feels like it was forgotten about and seems to solely cater to pensioners on coach trips, giving them that "good old days" aesthetic, by way of neglecting to modernise any part of the hotel past the 1980s. The reception and bar area is okay, still fairly dated but does the job, however breakfast doesn't start until 7am, which is strange for an "airport hotel". Breakfast itself is standard, nothing really bad, nothing really good, just the normal serve-yourself full English & continental options on offer. The rooms are really great if you want to get the full Alan Partridge experience. All rooms come standard with a Corby trouser press, which of course is a necessity for anyone travelling on a National Holidays bus, and really helps to add to the "oh my god, have I woken up in a care home" feeling. As you can probably guess, rooms are very dated and tired looking, with fittings and fixtures looking like they're going to come apart at any time, and the whole place feeling like it needs a bit of money spending on it. The bath in my room was peeling and there was also mould all over the bathroom walls and shower head, which has probably been there longer than I've been alive. The water pressure also wasn't the best but got the job done okay. Just be strategic around when you have a shower, and mindful that most of the hotel's guests will be in bed by 7 after a long day of touring around the north in a coach, so any time after then is likely to be at least semi-successful. A good point is that 95% of the staff I talked to were great, and a really redeeming feature of the hotel. Most of the members of staff I talked to were happy to help and took took to have a chat. Can't comment on the pool facilities as I didn't venture anywhere near, but I can imagine what I'd have experienced based on the rest of the hotel. If you're staying to use the airport, there are both travelodge and Premier Inn's much closer to the terminal, which I can guarantee will be much nicer too. If you aren't there for the airport, I'd say to stay literally anywhere else in the Leeds/Bradford area. Like seriously, why would you willingly choose this place out of all of the hotels in Leeds? Overall, the hotel needs some money spending on it, and desperately needs modernising (at least to 1990s standards) as they've really let the standard of the hotel go, which is strange because they seem to at least try and provide some level of service, just with extremely outdated facilities. Please don't stay here, you're worth more than that.

Positive experience: I stayed here on and off for 2 months (Jan Feb 2023) whilst i was helping my son renovate a property. Its a quite location and all the staff are frendly. Yes the hotel needs a facelift however the rates are very reasonable and reflect this. One thing i thought was disappointing was that they dont service the rooms (make beds) daily, only every 3 or 4 days and use the reason of "covid" in 2023! Its better to use cost saving as the reason offer service for a fee than hide behind Covid. All in all I was happy and would use again. Thanks to all at the Hotel especially the Manager (forgot his name) who gave me a contractors rate and Sue (covering from Scarbourough) who always was welcoming.

Negative experience: Been visiting Britannia hotel for years now but that was our last visit on the 11th October check in was fine had to use the lift to get to the room on the 5th floor we had to wait for couple to come out the lift they were laughing and said don't go in someone has done a sh1t in there and they had, this was reported to reception and after a discussion on who was going to clean the mess up or who wasn't it was finally cleaned don't what type of person could do that.

Negative experience: If it was possible for 0, it would have had one. You have to pay £5 to the hotel to park your car on top of you £100 +A night stay. I can see why the government has not commandeered for overseas travellers to Dover from France. It's got mould in the bathroom. Carpets are dirty and beds old and uncomfortable better off sleeping in your car, walls were extremely thin hearing all movement from next room. Bugs and dirty light shades and pubic hairs on the toilet seat

Positive experience: I had lowered expectations for our stay the night before flying out of Leeds Bradford but was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely stay here again.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this hotel. Rooms tired and dated. Bathroom was disgraceful. Needs to be totally refurbished. Stained carpets, enamel peeling off the bath, grout missing from most of the tiles, old tarnished mirror, bath panel broken. The bedroom side lamps were broken and paint stains in the bathroom on worktop and floor. Breakfast food not fresh and sitting about, tables not cleared despite empty restaurant.

Positive experience: The hotel was not to bad ...evening meal was very bland and underwhelming, breakfast was OK and good range and choice available .The front of house .staff in the restaurant were in need of some customer service training and appeared not to want to work here ..

Jonathan Woodhouse 2 years ago

Positive experience: Large motel style hotel with dated decor in need of a facelift. Comfortable beds and reasonable size rooms. Bathroom is very small but just enough room to function. Rooms and public areas are dull and the whole place needs a freshen up. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was okay but most things were overcooked. Sausages were tasty though. Toaster produced warm bread and the cappuccino consisted of black coffee to which you had to add milk from a jug. Parking is £5 per day. Good location for airport and Leeds outer environs. Although this is a purpose built hotel you can hear people in adjacent rooms talking and using the bathroom, which is unpleasant. Room was clean. Good value for money family room, except breakfast, which at a discounted price of £10.50 is only just reasonable given the quality, and at full price of £12.50 is probably not worth it. Long way out of Leeds so a car is almost essential.

Positive experience: Not somewhere that I'm excited about. Superficially, same kind of thing as premier. Maybe they have ' luxury ' rooms ( instead of just cheap ones )? Flagged up cleanliness issues, nobody did anything, food is at best, budget ( no real restaurant, just line up and get your ration...). Not confident on staff food knowledge or whether what I was eating was what it was supposed to be. Awful coffee. Ok for one night.....

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking. The first ever hotel I car a cross you have to pay for a car park which is within the hotel premises in the front of the hotel building. Also no vegan option for food.

Fantastic experience: We only stayed the one night, so not really an expert review. Ideally placed for our early morning flight from Leeds/Bradford airport. It's about 10mins away. So it gets a thumbs up from me. The young girl at reception was very helpful regarding taxis and answered all our questions. The room was clean and tidy. But we didn't arrive till late and left early. But I would definitely stay here again if we fly from Leeds. So not an expert review, but I would recommend this hotel if you're flying from Leeds.

Jan Evans 2 years ago

Positive experience: OK for a stop over before heading to the airport. Room was basic but clean. But I do feel sorry for the people on coach trips who have to stay more than one night. The carvery that was offered to them was awful. We opted for a carvery but regretted it. Soggy veg (brocolli & cauliflower), the beef casserole was too tough to chew, the pasta looked welded to the dish, the roast potatoes were cheap frozen ones, and under cooked. The cream/custard with dessert was watered down and ruined the chocolate cake. They deserve better!!!

Andrew Cox 2 years ago

Negative experience: 10 nights here and no better than the cheapest budget hotel. Yes it has a pool, but you have to pay and it's run by an outside company. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Waited 15 minutes at the bar, food order came out wrong, and since when is a meat feast pizza only 4 small pieces of chicken. This hotel is understaffed and some individuals working here have not had the correct training.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the Britannia Leeds Bradford Airport Hotel for a day of relaxation and quality time with my family. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the fantastic swimming pool – it provided the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the day. Lunch was a delightful experience, shared with my family. The culinary skills of Chef Darren and the entire kitchen team were truly impressive. The flavors, presentation, and overall dining experience exceeded our expectations. Moreover, I must commend the entire staff for their brilliant service throughout our stay. From the warm welcome to their attentive assistance, everyone made us feel valued and well taken care of. I want to express my gratitude to Chef Darren and the dedicated team at Britannia Leeds Bradford Airport Hotel for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and providing an exceptional experience. Without a doubt, this establishment deserves a 5-star rating for their outstanding facilities, service, and the memorable moments they helped us create. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-notch hotel experience

Negative experience: Expensive to stay at, then you have to pay £5 per day to park, Absolute disgrace, poor signal area so you have to then pay £7 per day for Internet access? Negative experience: I can’t begin to describe how awful and unpleasant our stay was They clearly don’t listen to complaints or read reviews. Place is very dated, food was absolutely awful, bathroom was full of mould and I’m sure the bed was given from my great great granny, no aircon or fans, barely slept with the heat and after a 14 hr working shift it was the last I wanted to be dealing with. Stay clear and camp out if needs be ‍♀️

Negative experience: We booked on line. Supposed to have free wi fi and access to pool. Pool was closing as we went to find out about it. WiFi I had to go to reception to get code. My room mate put the code in his device so when I tried it I couldn't use it as it's only valid for one device. I just couldn't be bother to walk all the way to reception again. Surely the know you would need to use more than one device when 2 of you share a room . No food available t after 9pm but they offer you a takeaway leaflet that delivers

Positive experience: Arriving after midnight from a late flight, checked in and a long walk to our room, furniture in front of hotel made it look dated, the room comfortable as was the bed. A good night sleep shower and now breakfast what a disappointment. The table was semi balanced on a wad of paper tried another table I ended up wedging that up, food now I actually asked the young lady if she had any holes in her shoes as bacon would have repaired them, no eggs, part cooked sausages and a coffee machine that maybe would have been better in the carpark the distance you had to walk. Would I stay again NO

Andy Ambridge 2 years ago

Negative experience: The hotel is very dated. Its in a desperate need of renovation. Food tasted awful and too expensive for what you get. I found it pretty disgusting in this day that they are charging £7 to use WiFi in the hotel. They offer free WiFi in the public areas. Found that the hotel doesn't have enough staff working. Only one person working on the bar with a queue of people building up to order food and drinks.

Jane Turner 2 years ago

Positive experience: The room was nice and had tea & coffee tray, staff were friendly however evening meal was very poor. We arrived by coach party so had been booked for months not enough staff back of house to cope with volume of customers at evening service, very quickly ran out of food.

Negative experience: Was ok, rooms are from the titanic, food is for school dinners.. service is good and staff work hard.. probably best to pay the extra in taxi and bypass this place gym and pool are the only thing going for it ..

Negative experience: The one awarded star was too much, as it deserves no stars. To explain, the hotel is very dated, as are the rooms. I had a shower in the bedroom rather than in a separate bathroom! The staff were OK, but not very attentive. The evening meal was poorly prepared with overcooked vegetables and overpriced! The location of the hotel served its purpose, but the room was very noisy, which made sleeping difficult.

Positive experience: Spa day with afternoon tea with my daughter in law. Had a fabulous day in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and sun bed, were lucky as was very quiet but spa manager Stephen was so helpful and accommodating, made us feel so welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Enough so that going back with my hubby to talk about a membership. Sarah who assisted us in the dining room, where we had afternoon tea with prosecco, was also attentive and happy to help with requests for alternative drinks etc. Checking on us throughout. They are refurbishing the hotel and if all the staff are as friendly and give great customer service as these two do then it will be a huge success. Thank you Stephen and Sarah for making it such an enjoyable day!

Positive experience: Holiday break stay. Hotel quite modern, quiet (no aeroplane or traffic noise) considering location; pleasantly warm in room in March visit considering heating costs and quite low temperature outside; staff attentive and helpful; food reasonably good with fair selection (wife did not like vegetarian selection which was not really good) but very good breakfasts with great mushrooms with full English breakfast; clean and tidy (however room not cleaned or beds made during 4 day stay. This we were informed on card with small print due to government COVID restrictions still in force, was a little surprising). However did not spoil our visit. Overall pleased as had stayed at another Britannia hotel in Blackpool which was a bad experience so was apprehensive.

Negative experience: Booked this hotel at short notice, wish I had longer to read reviews before I did. It wasn't good. Took 15 mins to check in and then 3 attempts to get my key to work for my room. The rooms are dated, the bathrooms in particular are not well maintained. You have to pay for wi-fi The restaurant was fine, the stand out was the barman who did a great job.

Negative experience: The hotel is impressive when first arrived with its own grounds. Reception is good and seating area Now it goes pear shaped rooms are clean , bed sqeeeeeek, the bathroom fan sqeeeeeek . Evening meal is ##it , staff in bar and chef's very friendly and helpful . Breakfast is good . The whole place wants a face lift .

Positive experience: As a bed before an early flight, absolutely fine. Room a bit tired, but bed was good. Overnight parking £5 with a quite clear threat of £100 off Parking Eye if you don't pay it. Basically a gun to the head..

Positive experience: Check in was seamless and sadly that's where the positives end. The hotel has seen better days and clearly lacks investment. The restaurant was forgettable and the bar area dreary. Our room was very tired and the bathroom was in pieces with tiles falling off and mould around the bath. Cleaning didn't appear to be high on the agenda. It was barely ok for the price, but handy for the airport.

Positive experience: Pleasant enough. Rooms a clean but a bit dusty in places. Beds comfy. Staff friendly ..stayed with a cheaper out of season coach trip so was value for money. No noise from airport

Positive experience: We spent a lovely weekend here. A perfect venue for walking in the Dales. The room was really good with a superb view over hills and a garden full of snowdrops. The super pool and spa is an excellent bonus . All the staff were super friendly. My vegetarian breakfast was excellent... eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, and hash browns all perfectly cooked.. We will be back!

Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel that is being refurbished. Fantastic location and very efficient staff! Pool was fabulous and warm! Food was OK drinks weren't too pricey. Overall a lovely start to the holiday

Fantastic experience: Arrived to surprise £5 parking charge. The hotel is a step back into the 80’s but I liked that. Room was actually much better than expected. I think it must be Russian roulette when it comes to rooms? My room was smart and very clean, the hotel is a little weird decoratively and some fittings, light switches etc are old and scruffy. But for the price £38 I think it’s incredible value! Really quiet And no weird ventilation noises that normally keep me awake. Best night sheep for a long time. Will definitely be back.

Negative experience: Took put pillow in sealed bag. Plumped up pillow and goodness knows what it was that fell out of pillow case. Looked like someone's left over food. Gross. Reported to reception. All I got was a sorry. Cleanliness at its worst.

Positive experience: No entertainment. Most nights to make your own entertainment. When asked if we could play bingo they said yes but when went to expense of buying tickets was told they did not have a licence for. Gambling but there was siot machines dotted all over hotel so. Surely must have licence spoilt our enjoyment as other patrons. Wanted to. Join in very dissapointing

Positive experience: My sister and l weny on coach trip and were surprised how lovely the hotel was as some of the ratings were very negative. We enjoyed our stay in a ckeN and large room. Would recommend this hotel with no noise from near airport.

Positive experience: Had to request a new room as it smelt strongly of cigarettes, staff handled it quickly and efficiently. After a 3 hour drive requested a sandwich but was told nothing available so we had to go out and search for a place to purchase a snack, was not impressed.

Positive experience: All good except that our taxi, booked by hotel, was 45 late. Hotel phoned several times, when we asked, pleasant and apologetic receptionist, but taxi company said the delay was because of a very busy airport. Not true, all was quiet. 17£ for a 6 min journey. Change taxi firm?!

Negative experience: Booked this hotel due to location close to airport. Lack of hygiene in room is very bad and unacceptable no matter what the star rating. Hotel very run down and lacks general ongoing maintenance inside and out. Buffet open between 6.30- 21.00 but is overpriced for quality of food on offer. Standards pretty bad for this supposedly 3 star hotel.

Positive experience: When we arrived we were met by a pleasant gentleman who told us to add our reg number and that there was a £5 charge for parking. We were given our cards for our rooms which did not work , back to reception for different cards which did allow us into our rooms . The rooms were pleasant, but tired, beds comfortable, however the location of the TV makes it impossible to watch from the bed . We had drinks at the bar which were reasonably priced . We did not eat in the restaurant as we had booked the Fox and Hounds for food , 5 minute walk.(very nice!) We did not eat breakfast as no vegetarian option available ( the first hotel that we have stayed in that does not cater breakfast for vegetarians!) We hopped in the car and drove 4 miles to premier inn and had breakfast there. Very nice! We would not stay here again .

Negative experience: Old hotel requiring expenditures. Dirty carpets, old bathroom, no towels in the bathroom. Link inviting you to rate your stay does not work. Only about the front desk staff can not say anything negative. Cab to airport 17 pounds, not little.

Negative experience: My wife and I had an overnight stay on the 1st November 2022, the overall ambience/ feel of the hotel is okay. The reception level is at the same level as the access drive but is termed Floor 3. Our room was on the 5th floor which can be accessed either by two small lifts (2 or 3 person) or stairs. The bar and restaurant are on the 3rd floor off the reception area. The restaurant operates a carvery with various options, we went for a roast beef single course option. This was okay but slightly disappointing being somewhere between tepid and cold in temperature. We were in Rm 517 which again was okay overall, unfortunately the bath/ shower room had evidence of black mould on the tiles and bath caulk. Booked via a website and £42 for the room only with the usual kettle, coffee/ tea/ milk/ sugar. Could have been worse and it wouldn't have taken much for it to have been a more pleasant experience.

Positive experience: Tired, but acceptable for an overnight prior to early flight. 3 course meal at £10 a head, perfectly acceptable and adequate, saving finding somewhere to eat. Quiet clean room, very handy for LBA

Marie Atkins 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Use this airport frequently, we drop the bags at the airport the night before 'twilight drop' hhen back to the hotel 7 mins, have a meal and a drink reasonably priced, then leave the car for a fortnight out to the airport and off we go.. So easy you can't fault it . Staff are always friendly and helpful and for £12 they book you a return taxi which is considerably cheaper than booking your own.

Positive experience: Room good. I think having to pay £5 per day parking and then a further £7 for basic Internet in room is poor and should be incorporated into price per night Hotel restaurant had very limited and pricey menu. Ended up living off takeaways and ASDA deli food for the week. Foyer was quite lively/loud every time I passed through, so decided not to use restaurant bar facilities. Room could do with more plugs for all your chargers

Positive experience: Food is good, bedroom was nice but could do with a better standard of cleaning, especially the windows don't think they have been cleaned inside or outside in a long time. Wouldn't do well in 4 in a bed program.

Carol Ollerenshaw 3 years ago

Negative experience: Very old and tired. Bedroom not very clean, enough dust underneath bed to write your name in. Bath surround covered in mould, and again lack of cleaning. I was given a table at breakfast which still had dirty plates on although there were plenty of tables. The plates were taken away, but table not wiped. As for the breakfast......simply the worst I have had. Had I paid £70....I would shrug and say, well thats what I paid for. But it was £125. So I did expect better.

Negative experience: Tired rooms which need a decent clean, sub standard food and minimal number of staff make this a challenging place to stay. Ordered an alarm call which was not made despite all the details being written down.

Negative experience: Worst hotel stayed at ever. I have stayed at some shady hotel but this one took the top of the list. The room was super small and it had three beds in this room. The window curtains have rust stains on them. The bathroom shower stall was full of rust. There was no towels in the room. No internet- had to pay for it in the room or go to the lobby. I also go a spider bite from the room. The room was might to come a meal but the restaurant to get the meal was closed at 4pm. So, we paid for a meal in the bar and the bar closes at 9:30pm. The room was supposed to come with transportation to the airport and end up having to pay for it. This room cost $143 for one night.

Positive experience: My daughter held her wedding here to her now husband on August 12th which was organised and hosted by James who along with his staff went the extra mile to ensure the day was enjoyed by all. We stayed in an upgraded room which was certainly not the worst we have stayed in, air con would have been great as it was the warmest weekend of the year. The facilities of the hotel and leisure club were available to us in the price we paid as was breakfast, which was ample in both quantity and quality. The food served for the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet were excellent and drinks from the bar were very reasonable my only negative was a shortage of bar staff but I know hospitality in general are struggling for staff. Because we were a party parking was also free. I would definitely recommend the hotel as a wedding venue to consider and again many thanks to James and his staff for making lasting memories for one happy bride and groom.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here 2 nights on a coach trip. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was good on 1st night, but not so good 2nd night. But overall can't fault the hotel

Fantastic experience: On a coach trip..room was comfy cud do with updating.the breakfast was nice buffet style..The first night's meal was nice but the second night was discusting. There was a staff wedding going on.i think every member of staff was there no staff for the customers .the girl on the bar did amazing job tho.Shoild of thought about giving staff time off wen 2 coach's were in

Negative experience: Beds to hard and when we requested a topper it was more a mattress cover. Evening meal was a joke.ran out of food on second day !! They knew 3 coaches were arriving .not enough choice on mainmeals.. Custard more like milk ( runny) cream was off !!!no socket by beds to charge phones fan supplied but plug didn't fit socket ! etc.plus side breakfast was good

Gina Wilsdon 3 years ago

Negative experience: The lampshade in my room was split and broken. The food in the evening was cold and awful, the staff were miserable and just snatched the plates off the table without asking if you had finished. My Mother was eating her evening meal and they tried taking her plate, she had placed her knife and fork on each side of her plate to have a drink of water. The glasses were dirty too. It was very disappointing and l wouldn't stay there again. There are stains and food everywhere because it needs cleaning. I went to the bar for a drink and the optic was half empty, but she gave it me anyway. I would avoid staying at this hotel, it's disgusting
