Negative experience: I had an absolutely awful experience at this gym . I came in to inquire about joining and spoke to a polite staff member at reception who explained I could sign up. I asked if I could do a one-day trial and pay for the full membership on January 2nd. While he was allowing me to proceed, the manager, Kenzie (whose name I made sure to ask her to pen down on a paper), rudely said I couldn't use the gym unless I paid for the membership that day. When I asked if there was no trial period, she bluntly said no. I then explained that six months ago, when I initially inquired, I was told I could do a one-week trial before deciding to join. Her response was very rude and unprofessional, questioning why I’d want to join now if I didn’t join six months ago and it doesn't make sense to do this now. I explained I wasn’t mentally prepared due to an injury, but she cut me off, accused me of having a bad attitude, and told me to leave. I asked her again for clarity about the trial period, and only then did she mention the rules had changed in August , this is something that she should have said from the start. When I pointed this out, she said it wasn’t her duty to inform me about rule changes.She then asserted her authority as the manager, demanding I leave saying " I don't like your attitude" ! To make matters worse, my husband, who has been a loyal member for six months, was present during this situation and was so furious with her behavior that he wanted to cancel his membership on the spot. Her response? A casual, "Yeah, that’s fine." Not to mention I was a member of this gym for a couple of years back in 2016 when it was such a great experience coming to this gym . We ultimately decided to go ahead with my membership for the sake of my health, and this gym is the closest for us ,but this whole thing has left an incredibly bitter taste. Her unprofessionalism and lack of basic courtesy are unacceptable. I can’t imagine how many others have walked away from this gym because of her. My " in the gym experience was nice ,but the manager and her management is a definite let down. The only redeeming part of this experience was the other staff member, who was polite throughout.

Negative experience: I will have to give 1 star, just started my long term membership few days ago, when i went in to tap my card to pay for the membership with them, i got told it "declined" so i was prompted to tap again, after this i went gym and worked out, when i left the gym i checked my phone and noticed they double charged me! I showed proof of this and besides from apologetic sorrys and "we are sending emails" no one has gotten back to me, no one has even promised me that i am getting a refund! It's one thing to say yes you are getting a refund soon but it's another thing to just ignore the person you scammed. I payed almost £100 in one day when it was meant to be close to half of that. And just for the record i did go again to see if there's an update on the situation and there was another woman behind the counter and all she did was email! All they r doing is emailing but no one's getting back to me, lets not forget they have my contact records in their system. Also when i got doubled charged, i asked them wtf is this, they said it also happened to another person before me, so it seems they are scamming multiple people, if I don't get a refund in 2 weeks time i will be suing them for breach of contract so places leisure if ur reading this you better pay up!

Negative experience: This Gym use to be great, with Good management. Recently specifically with Reece having transferred to the wandsworth site this gym has gone downhill. The new female manager who works during the late afternoons/evenings is a completely miserable, has absolutely no customer service skills and is very obnoxious. She doesn't want to help cant answer simple questions, stands outside smoking cigarettes alot of the time, most of the staff members who work there are unhappy with her and many of the goers my friends have also transferred to The gym group since her arrival. I will gladly be doing the same. Hopefully Roehampton fitness center find a more suitable replacement to manage the center so many of us locals and I can come back to our old gym which was once a wonderful establishment before the arrival of this horrid manager. Lindsey is great. The new girl is a let down. Reece was an asset and should have been promoted as manager !!!

Negative experience: Had a very bad experience at the soft and play and the staff that works there are very rude and disrespectful. My daughter just turned 9 a week ago and they refuse her to go in and play so I said fine and then the staff came saying she can’t sit inside even doe she wasn’t playing and said she has to leave the place and wait out side seriously how can I leave my daughter wait outside by her self and they was even saying it front of her I swear she felt very bad and she said what have I done to them why don’t they allow me sit on the side and I am not leaving this pass I need to see the manager any how and report them all because of how they spoke to us and they kept saying it’s our policy I don’t give a dame about the policy and I really need to see this policy they was on about it’s the worst place I’ve ever been in my life and they refused to give me refund and in top of that it was empty. My kids didn’t enjoy at all and told me let’s leave this place and never come back again There’s no kids right They made my daughter very sad my daughter said she doesn’t even wants to go out anymore if there’s people like those women in the reception I will be making report every where For the sake of my daughter mental

Ignoring me and my child.. so I pick my phone call the gym.. he reacted.he went to the phone.. and I said are you serious ... I Wait for 20 min for a Entry with my child.. and he was in front of me talking to his friends

Fantastic experience: I have only just joined and it has been good so far. I have never previously been in or used a professional gym before and I was pleasantly surprised. In particular Lindsey, General Manager, was very helpful. I was given an excellent helpful induction by Lee. The Staff I have met on Reception - in particular Lou - were friendly, professional and approachable. In short - the gym is close by, small, clean, well maintained with good staff!

Negative experience: 6/4/23 I arrived at the gym at 9:05pm and the reception staff (Big chubby new guy) would not allow me to enter stating the last entry was 9pm. Balham, Putney and Tooting (all part of the same group) allow members to enter up untill 9.15 even 9.30pm (depending on whos at reception). I am extremely dissapointed as they keep changing the times depending on whos at reception. They also close earlier then schedule 10pm is when this center is suppose to close on weekdays. However on numerous occasions the staff will pressure the clients to leave earlier by playing with the lights switching lights on and off and then try to turf everybody out by 9.50pm so the staff can leave by 10pm. It's an absolute joke and so unprofessional. I will be in touch with the relevant department at Wandsworth to escalate this matter.

Negative experience: Staff member wasn't able to have a polite conversation started attacking me for asking for an update/information. Sports halls floor is green with green lines (doesn't help when playing)

Fantastic experience: Located on a side road but deserves the attention despite of relatively disadvantageous location. You can find here a tiny gym but it can absolutely satisfy the need of any beginner in body building. Also, there's a basketball court inside and the field can be turned to a volleyball court, badminton court or football pitch. There's an inside playground for kids and wheelchair accessible lift, entrance, parking and so on. Absolutely well designed place.

Negative experience: I went there today to get some informations about badminton. I didn’t even stayed 5mins!! I have never came across such unprofessional and ignorant staff!! First of all, when i arrived nobody was at reception. Then when someone came (with the attitude that he didn’t really want to help me but had no choice), i told him why i was here and he asked one of his colleague to help me. He wasn’t speaking clearly and loud enough for me to even understand what i had to do... the woman came, shook my hand like she disn’t want to touch me and went to sit at a table so i followed her. I told her i cale here because i was interested into taking some classes in badminton. When she asked if i was interested in gym at all and i said no, she stood up, left the table and went to the reception. She said that i needed to book a court for badminton in advance and that’s it. So i asked how does it work if im on my own. She replied that we need to be 2 people to play. Well thanks for that info! So the guy came into the conversation and just repeating what she said so i had to ask again: is there any classes? So they looked up on the computer and said there is a dropin session one day a week and it cost about 4£. I had to ask if i needed my own equipment, if it was a real class or just many people coming randomly to play together etc,. I had to basically ask questions to get any info. They were not here to professionally talk about the center, facilities, how it works etc. They didn’t care. I really felt like i was bothering them. They seriously need training on how to be professional because this isn’t acceptable! I dont recommend this place at all!

Negative experience: Staff is unpleasant, unhelpful. The gym itself is alright, but because of the horrible staff I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone.

Positive experience: Gym is nice, Changing rooms are okay. Sports hall has old basketball markings and often the court is dusty. Staff make the place a much better place though

Positive experience: I have found the staff very helpful when I want something done. I use the gym it has never been full have always managed to get on the machines I want to use good value for money you get what you pay for.

Positive experience: If you're going here for weightlifting, make sure you come when it's quiet because the space is just way too small. There's only 1 power rack and 2 adjustable benches. For cardio, it's OK with about 5 running machines and 8-9 crosstrainers and 2 bikes. I would recommend this place if you're on a budget or if you're close but if you're neither of these things, go elsewhere.
