Negative experience: They over charged me, stole my money and then disappeared. No wonder they got closed down. Absolute scum bags!

Positive experience: My regular gym . Some of the staff are great . The people friendly and supportive. How ever AF does need to upgrade and renew some equipment. Had a recent spruce up to over all deco but really needs new updated equipment. And some people could do with being less lazy and have some gym edicate. Put back your weights

Negative experience: It’s a dead Quite gym only thing u like about it been promised classes from wen I have joined this gym every month get told it’s coming it’s coming but it don’t I’ve asked every month for the last 6 months and message on social media and get no response but they read this message ! Toilets and showers are horriable wouldn’t advise anyone to join stay away ur better off going pure gym !

Negative experience: Worst company ever- cancelled membership and followed guidelines have harassed me every other day since- spoken with colleagues who promised would stop. Has not.

Positive experience: Although they have recently painted and put new flooring down, the equipment is getting old and bits need replacing

Negative experience: AVOID! Most unprofessional and unpleasant staff I’ve ever encountered in the service industry. After being a member here for years I changed my bank account over meaning a payment was missed. Debbie Clarkson told me I couldn’t pay directly and she would call me to make payment on the Friday. Instead she cancelled my fob on the Thursday and didn’t even call me on the Friday. She then informed me I had to pay a late payment fee after she didn’t call me! Meaning I couldn’t go all weekend as I would be there in the morning before staff. To add insult to injury Debbie then accused me of being a liar about going to the gym on the Thursday having spoken to Lawrence (after he had let me in) as the fob had been cancelled by her! I emailed the club about what had happened as a loyal member for years never having a problem and I got completely ignored. I’m still being harassed with threatening texts and emails pretty much daily and this was over a month ago. I joined one of the two gyms within 250yds that are higher quality and cheaper.

Negative experience: Disgusting treatment of customers. Please don’t sign up to a membership here. First of all the gym is filthy, dirty toilets and water fountain never working. I cancelled my membership due to relocation, I let the staff in the gym know, then I started getting countless messages saying I was in arrears, I phoned numerous times with no answer, I messaged on social media, emailed 5 times with no response and even travelled back to the gym where there was no staff. Disgusting

Negative experience: Worst gym! Would give 0 stars if possible, pay for a membership and haven’t had access with my fob for over a week now! People refuse to answer the phone or social media messages asking for an explanation, complete breach of contract as n o access and no 24 hour access!!

Negative experience: Problem with membership. Unable to use it. Paid for it. Can't get through to anyone via phone or email. Disappointed big time!!!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to the gym now for 3-4 months now. I've been to quite a few gyms. And I feel by far the most relaxed and happy to attend on a regular basis. The staff are amazing and also always there if you need help. The morale across the board is what does it for me. I've been told exciting things are coming. I love it here. Thanks anytime fitness for helping me through my goals

Negative experience: Ugh, where do I start with this poor, sad gym? The PTs are great and so nice, and I feel for them. Everything I say in this review is not a reflection on the trainers, who I know try, but despite their best efforts, Anytime Fitness in Aylesbury has the feel of a place that the company does not care about anymore. There are so many broken pieces of equipment that I couldn't even list them. We have all just learned to work around them. I enquired about when they would be fixed, and they said they were not fixing them as they would be replaced. Months later, no sign of this replacement, and until that happens, they are useless! All the various attachments for the cable machines are old and worn, with their rubber grips falling off or long gone. The water fountain is disgusting, with a red warning light on the filter for many months and surrounded by buckets from the leaks. The bathrooms and changing rooms are grim. I can see the staff trying, but a lousy decision compounds every good thing. They recently invested in new incline, flat and decline benches. Great! Except someone also bought cheap barbells of various weights - utterly useless for anyone looking for consistent weight training. So everyone fights over the 20k bars. The whole place has an abandoned feel and isn't a very nice place to spend time. I feel bad giving public feedback, but I have given feedback directly through a recent survey and even been asked to write it down in the gym by a trainer, as I was told 'the company doesn't listen to us but might listen to its customers', and nothing has come of it. This could be one of the best lifting gyms in town, with so much space and potential, but it feels like no one at Anytime Fitness cares about their Aylesbury branch.

Positive experience: Nice and cozy but quite small and at times feel closed. But overall good for the price.

Negative experience: I recently left this gym as part of the management team who also used the gym 3 or 4 times a week during this time. As a former employee I am aware that any review which may be deemed as misleading or misconstrued, would be subject to defamation. This review is an honest and professional opinion of my experience at this gym, and I believe that people should consider these factors before agreeing to their contract. I mean this with the best interest of all people in the local area looking for a gym. In its current state, avoid. They mess you around with contracts and dont appropriately facilitate quieries. There were lots of members who have had multiple month long issues which were not being addressed. Moreover, in my opinion, the price is not worth the value the gym provides. The water fountain has been broken for well over a year, and the bathrooms have awful hygiene standards. How can they expect to charge a premium price, yet not sustain basic gym needs? The one good thing about this gym is the PT's and the members. They are all great; its just a shame that they have to put up with all the issues around them. To conclude, having personally trained at every gym around the local area, Anytime fitness doesnt podium. There is potential, but as of now I would recommend avoiding.

Negative experience: If I could leave a minus star review I would. AVOID like the plague - if you want to be robbed of your money then go to this gym. I have been trying to get into contact with this gym for MONTHS I moved from the High Wycombe site in October 2022 as I moved house, they continued to charge me at the previous site's figure £42.95 instead of the £32 per month that this site charges. They cancelled the Zumba class and made a PT quit due to her feeling bullied. The cleanliness of this site is disgusting. My membership thankfully came to an end and this was confirmed in an email, though I am still owed a refund, I check my bank and a new unauthorized Direct Debit has been taken from my account, which I have not signed or agreed to. I have phoned, emailed, messaged on Instagram (all very politely) I have left feedback through the website twice and have been ignored on all platforms. Literally the WORST experience I have ever had dealing with a company. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Fantastic experience: Visited the gym as a one off as I was in town and am a member elsewhere. Found the gym to have a great wide range of equipment from a bodybuilding perspective, some machines I have never had the chance to use before so that was great. Manager on the desk was very friendly and welcoming. I got a really good workout, would definitely return if the opportunity arises.

Negative experience: I apologise to the new staff who probably is trying their best to save a sinking ship but I cannot express the frustration you've guys made me go through. The money you guys are asking for are not worth in this particular branch. Not enough classes, equipment broken and would take months to fix it. Dirty equipment as very few members bother in there to wipe the equipment or put their stuff back. I'd always spend at least half an hour more looking for weights around the gym. Besides all this, I tried freezing my membership so I can see if another gym would be better. Of course it was. Yet my membership was never frozen. This is the third month you guys are charging me in full and not the 10 pounds freeze fee. People are lovely in there but sadly that cannot make up for everything else.

Fantastic experience: The new manager has made a big difference to everything in the gym

Negative experience: This is the worst gym I have ever experienced in Aylesbury. They make it so difficult for you to leave. They advertise a three-month membership but it is actually rolling and they continue to charge you. The cleanliness is poor with extremely dirty toilets involving urine on the floors and poor facilities. They also say that you have to give written notice of cancellation so they can get an extra months money despite them having charged 2 additional months where there has been no loss to the gym and no attendance. I would never reccommend this gym to anyone.

Negative experience: I would give a 0 star review if possible. Tried to leave the gym, giving notice in December 2022 with 12 month contract expiring in January 2023. They wouldn’t accept this cancellation, so I cancelled again the following month. They now want March money. They won’t answer calls, emails etc. their very aggressive arrears team called me to claim payment, when I challenged them on the legal precedent and contract law, they put the phone down on me. Why did I decide to leave the gym? Dirty smelly toilets, broken equipment and a very “over friendly” manager. Joining this gym is a lot like borrowing money from a loan shark. Buyer beware. May 2023 update: Still no resolution, despite assurances of contact from the new management and resolution as well as confirmation my account is not in arrears I have been passed to a debt collection agency. July 2023 update: Still no resolution, repeated assurance I do not owe any monies, despite this still being pursued by a debt collection agency and now at “Final Demand” stage. It may be worth noting the date of the below response to my previous feedback.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined, and honestly, I wish I had joined sooner! The equipment is fantastic. It's a great space with lovely management. Don't make the same mistake I did and go for the cheapest gym in Aylesbury, cheaper isn't better. You pay for a high standard of equipment here, so many accessories to use and don't feel like you're on top of each other either! Love it

Negative experience: Worst gym ever when you try to cancel membership its been 10 months and i am still paying my membership

Negative experience: Gym ok, until you want to leave them. Very hard to finish payments, you need to know that you want to leave 3 months beforehand, because if you want to leave straight away, you will end up paying for the next 3 months. No classes at all.

Positive experience: Need to have classes better aerobic equipments for the price. Also too much youngsters making a nuisance when training late evening.

Negative experience: I left the gym in June, but paid for July as well, so cancelled the subscription, and they have been chasing and threatening court action, when I am the one who is owed money, total disgrace, disorganised, and un-customer friendly. if 0 stars was an option, it would be more appropriate.

Negative experience: The gym is fine but when you try to leave they are shocking. They extended my contract without my agreement and when I tried to leave they said I couldn't.....all a bit sad really. I just cancelled my direct debit but now they harass me constantly saying I must re-instate my DD. Jasper has ignored all my emails, a very unprofessional individual. They are independent so the overall anytime brand don't care. I am taking legal advice for the second time over this. I would avoid at all costs. Trustpilot and Twitter are littered with stories about similar instances, not a very honest or creditable company all round.

Positive experience: Nice gym but after new managers in the gym it seems to have gone down a bit. There is never cleaning products around to wipe down the equipment, the staff are nowhere to be seen as they camp in a little room at the back of the gym with the door closed. There is always weights laying around and you never get a hello unless you say it first which in my opinion is really bad customer service. It is a shame as it is a really nice space and has so much potential.

Positive experience: Not very clean, sometimes there are no cleaning products, not to say you have to use cloths to clean which were disgusting. No free parking unless you park inside Sainsbury's for 1h30 mins across the road. Equipment and weights are left everywhere, people don't bother to clean up. Too bad about the space, has a good layout, new machines.. staff is really nice. I was told I can use any other branch after one month, but when I asked to change to a closer one I was told I need to use another gym for 2 months months..before I can move

Negative experience: Had to fight to get my member cancelled, post covid when they actually changed what I originally signed up for. Would not recommend this gym anymore!

Positive experience: Me & my husband are members since the beginning of the year and we have joined the gym because they told us that they will sort out the parking in due course. All the staff we ask about it keep saying they’re sorting it out! Awful smell and hygiene in the shower/ toilet/ changing rooms and around the water dispenser. Maintenance is very poor, music is repetitive, they had a broken light bulb in one of the shower/ toilet/ changing room for months, no one bothered to change it. Besides moving stuff around, it feels like they don’t really care about the gym. Good amount of space to workout and the staff are friendly, just as real shame regarding the above!

Positive experience: A very modern and fresh gym. The kit is new near and it is never busy so I can train in peace at nights/weekends but the parking is what loses it a star. You can pay for 1 hour or it then goes to 3 hours! I hope they can sort the parking out for members.

Positive experience: Good location with ample parking, especially for me as a trucker, can pull up at nights or early morning. Negatives only one water dispenser, wash rooms were grubby in the morning and the whole place looks tired. Machines were anytime standard "Top" and ample. This is cheaper than other anytime gyms and I'm glad that mine is much cleaner and better equipped.

Fantastic experience: Having been involved in fitness/competitive sports for 17 years, during which time I have visited many gyms globally, I assure you Anytime fitness is a fantastic gym. The gym offers top of the range equipment, fulfilling all requirements of people who workout; Fitness, bodybuilding, functional training (street work out/gymnastics), strength, flexibility etc. I came about this gym, as I stay in the Aylesbury area weekly for business, and I tried out all other gyms in the area, non of which came close to Anytime fitness. I love the fact there is a large functional training area, with Many TRX systems. The staff are very friendly and eager to please/help, which is a rarity these days in gyms. Regardless of your fitness/workout goals, I assure you, Anytime will offer what you are looking for.
