Positive experience: Nice gym. A few of the machines are broken and just don’t get fixed. Will be sad when it shuts!
Positive experience: Rumour has it this place is about to close. Never been there personally.
Positive experience: Nice place with very nice staff, helping you around and a nice atmosphere. However it is a bit pricey and can also get extremely busy. Can be a bit small for the amount of people inside the gym and more benches would be nicer.
Negative experience: Monday to Friday between hours of 3.30pm and 6.30pm full of kids from school messing around with the equipment. Also this gym is (CLOSING DOWN) in MARCH 2025. I wish they had taught me this before signing up a few months ago so disappointing.
Positive experience: The gym offers a vibrant and busy atmosphere with a wide range of equipment to suit all workout needs. However, it lacks a swimming pool, which might be a drawback for some. Overall, a great place for fitness enthusiasts!
Positive experience: How do you take 44 pounds when it’s a tiny gym and the classes are crowded and most of the classes are full? And what is the logic behind having the gym closed at 5 pm on saturday and sundays when that’s when all the working people are free. And there’s no way to know this until you pay. and you realise it on the app. There aren’t enough weights either so someone always has something you want. Gyms like PureGym offer everything and more at half the price.
Negative experience: The classes are a waste of time with the trainers being lazy and unprofessional. The gym space is small enough as it is and they have a booking system with limited spaces to accommodate for the small space and limited equipment but the classes are past capacity and yet no one does anything, staff or trainers. For the membership fee being higher than a budget gym, you would expect better trainers, better equipment and better organisation but you would get better services in a budget gym.
Positive experience: The gym is good but the price per month for the gym is quite high.
Fantastic experience: Can't fault this gym given the price. Sometimes it gets a little busy, occasionally with young adults/secondary school age children, but this has never been an issue. Changing rooms are clean and showers work well. Just bring a padlock if you want to put your stuff in a locker

Fantastic experience: It's my 3rd time there, and I love it. I'm 69 years old and I go there mostly for the pilates classes. People from all ages are training there so I don't feel out of place.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Better Gym in Pinner for a couple of years now. Fantastic gym equipment, sauna/steam room and super friendly, knowledgeable employees (shoutout to Sanif & Saj). Any time I need advice on my membership or a workout plan they’re both there to help. Lastly, a point to add is the friendly atmosphere, majority on members are nice/good people. Highly recommend!
Negative experience: Not worth even one star! I had been a member here for a long time but have left due to the unprofessional and rude behaviour a female staff who is not fit to be customer facing. She has no manners and the shame she brings to the whole and other good staff. Be careful before you sign up - don’t be fooled.

Fantastic experience: Very good place nice staff nice gym equipment and nice people
Negative experience: There’s nothing better about this gym at all, it’s small and over subscribed. I was paying for a junior membership for my teenager but he could never actually go because it’s booked up every day! If you can’t accommodate the junior members you have then stop taking on more junior members!

Fantastic experience: Nice gym, not packed to the brim with people and good range of equipment. Really found staff to be helpful and make a conscious effort to keep the place clean and maintain the area but most users I see putting weights or equipment away. Only comment would add would be the addition of a couple of cable fly machines that are actually adjustable rather than fixed.

Negative experience: Please can you make sure equipment is setup for classes by staff prior to classes for example spinning. Members should not be expected to lug heavy cycles to the studio and put away after the session that is your staffs job. Maybe instead of chatting they can do some work. In regards to your response the bikes are heavy your team should really be moving the bikes will you cover me if I am injured moving the bikes? Also please make sure all bike are serviced regularly as I noticed every week in the class an issue with at least two which should reflect your booking numbers. Post update :Thank you noted will report back on feedback from the class. What is your response to the constant faulty bikes in the class and resulting in overbooking as at least 2 can not be used per session? Update Still issue with bikes please regularly check them same bikes still have issues when I logged review so nobody from better gym has checked or actioned. Staff have time to check them and clean them as they are not busy. I often see them working out during work time or having personal chats which is fine if they cover the basic checks of a working gym!. What are we paying membership for? You have also increased your monthly membership what are the justifications nothing has changed!I I have lost two sessions as not enough working bikes. I would also prefer discussing this on reviews so a change is actually made for visibility of other members and prospective members to see your gym standards Please can you proactive as a company and email them my concerns

Regarding the Group Cycle classes, each member/customer should select a bike and put it in a chosen place in the Studio, acceptable by the instructor. Negative experience: I am a member of The Gym Group North Harrow. My gym was closed for a week for renovation work, so I joined Better Gym Pinner for a month. The fee was £44 a month. The Gym floor isn't big and they have limited equipments e.g the have only 1 Smith machine, 1 chest press barbell machine, 1 cable crossover machine and so on. You need to wait for your turn every time. I went to the Better Gym for just 3 days and decided to wait for the gym North Harrow to open. Better gym should either reduce their fee or add more equipments to justify the current fee.
Positive experience: Great local gym. Used to be a Fitness First. Now Better. Good range of equipment. Cardio and weights. Decent sauna and showers too.

Negative experience: Very average. Dirty, and half the machines or showers don't work. Only see the staff if a pretty girl is training.

At this moment, we have fixed all the showers, so they are currently working and have been deep cleaned on a regular basis. Positive experience: Simple gym. It is a friendly and diverse environment with clients of all ages and body types. Good instructors and good range of classes. Smallish so no space for extra facilities like a swimming pool. I mainly wish there were windows to let air in and natural light in the studio.

Positive experience: It's good
Positive experience: Best thing is it’s cheap compared to other gyms and it’s a social enterprise project rather that’s a profit making organisation. Friendly team as are the patrons. You never feel excluded and everyone exercises at their own level. On the downside, it sometimes gets crowded and the air con is pretty poor. Occasionally there has been no hot water but doesn’t affect me as I live nearby and can quickly get home for a shower. Also, there is no on site parking but I think you can park in the small car park at Lidl next door for a limited period.
Negative experience: had issues with management.... have since joined another gym. No regrets my end.
Negative experience: Don't waste your time and money there's no hot water and they not willing to get hot water for more than 2 months now. I thought better gym was going to be better but it's worse than other gyms .....
Negative experience: Bad customer service from head office every time. Otherwise, for the gym itself at Pinner; staff and people they are friendly and make you feel at home.
Negative experience: I visited this gym with a day pass while staying in the area. They have quite a lot of equipment and at first glance seems like very good gym. However, I had a few issues with it. The main thing I found very frustrating is members leaving weight plates all over the place. Every time I saw someone complete their barbell exercises, they would walk off without unloading their plates. In addition, there were weight plates all over the floor and the plates on the racks were in a completely random order. So I had to waste time unloading other people's plates, and then spend even more time trying to find the right ones. This often involved removing plates sitting on top of the ones I wanted, and then putting them back on the rack. There are notices asking members to replace weights but this isn't being enforced. Also, the barbells are either cheap or very worn out. They have practically no knurling on them, so deadlifting 4 plates or above was unnecessarily difficult to grip. In addition, the air conditioning doesn't seem very effective in the free weights area, as the ceiling is much higher here. My hands were sweating excessively, even more so with all the extra work I had to unload/find/load the plates. All added together leads to a not so good situation for gripping heavy loads. Finally, there is no hard floored lifting platforms for squats or deadlifts. Instead, the floor is a squishy surface which inhibits ability to push through the floor. It's a shame as it seems like it could be a really nice gym if the tidyness was addressed. As it is now, it's probably alright for beginners or casual lifters, but for someone with late intermediate to advanced levels of strength in the barbell exercises, I'd look elsewhere.
Positive experience: Does what it says on the box, Steam room and Sauna priceless, showers don't always have hot water. Gym does seem a bit dated and it's not particularly cheap compared to similar local gyms

Negative experience: It's been over 3 months now. They deliberately didn't fix the hot water issues. Worst gymI have ever been.

Negative experience: Management perhaps HO not fixing hot water issues since last 3 months. This cannot be explained or accepted. Not sure if it's deliberate! Leading to significant cust dissatisfaction from almost all members who use steam and sauna

Negative experience: I had recently asked my membership to be frozen but I still got charged! Apparently my freeze did go through but It still taken off direct my Direct debit, and they don’t even have the audacity to pick up their phones, I cannot reach anyone. Pathetic

Negative experience: Staff were nice during my time there (around 4 months). But that's it. If you want to use running machine then there is enough but the weights section is too small for the amount of people who use it. When I got there at opening time it was a rush for equipment and within half an hour the weight section would be busy with all machines being used. Also for about 3 months I was using the gym, there was no warm water (boiler was broken, what was confirmed by staff), what meant freezing showers, what is not good enough for the money that everyone was paying. I talked with other customers who also shared their anger at this fact and that they would also be leaving due to the shower situation.
Negative experience: Cancelled my membership in July, and subsequently received a communication stating that they were sorry to see me go but why not freeze my membership instead, so I requested a freeze. Received confirmation of a freeze that would be reactivated in late October. Ready to unfreeze my membership, I contacted Better Gym last week only to be told that they were unable to unfreeze my account (despite me having email evidence they had frozen it) - the only way to unfreeze was to restart a new membership (at a 70% premium to what I was previously paying!). Unprofessional response.
Fantastic experience: Better Gym in Pinner is well situated with nice staff. Its also kept very clean by the staff and everyone who uses it whilst there is also a pretty good range of equipment. Once you get to grips with the booking system (amidst no doubt a hail of swear words) its fairly straight forward. The music is typical of modern gyms and there is always the ubiquitous TV to watch. From a Pinner perspective in the day time older people receive a discount for using it at restricted times. 10am to 1.00pm Monday to Friday and lunch time onwards at the weekends. These are strange times we are currently living through and the Better Gym in Pinner really helps me to get through them along with a few friendly faces.....Enjoy

Negative experience: Best you find somewhere else. Apart from friendly staff, there is nothing worth recommending about this place. Its a total shambles and the changing rooms are disgusting.

Negative experience: No water for the sixth day. Who wants to get hot and sweaty and shower down with cold water in the winter. Only the really hardy, I'd guess. You'd think members might be entitled to a rebate.

Positive experience: Overall it's a good gym, just a little expensive for the facilities. It's a fairly clean place, and nice staff, but the AC does seem to have issues at times, which means it can be a sauna in the summer. Big convenience factor is that it's a 5-7 min walk from Pinner station.
Fantastic experience: This gym has made Pinner a Better place. I feel Better, although it’s questionable whether I look Better but that’s probably down to my mums samosas.
Positive experience: Not really the best Gym around. Air con issues, hot water issues, broken equipment issues. You also got a lot of timewasters, socialisers, talkers and clowns parading in the free weights area. People training without shoes in their socks. Not a serious gym. Ive been attending since it was Fitness First and seems to have gone downhill. For the high membership fee you'd expect better but nothing much has changed. I train solo, and can count on one hand the amount of serious trainers in the gym. Nothing wrong with a bit of chat while resting. But holding up the benches and machines to talk about your favourite tv show isnt cutting it. Then you got guys shouting across the gym, running their mouths for an hour straight. Reduce membership fees as this gym is no better than a private gym run by an individual.... Update: No hot water for the last 6 weeks. Is it fixed yet?
Fantastic experience: Variety of classes, like Yoga, BodyFit, Cycling, etc. we can book online. Staffs are amicable and helpful.
Positive experience: Issues with air con have been going on for the last 4 month's and still not resolved. Speed of fixing issues and general maintenance is very disappointing for the high membership fee. Unfortunately since being bought by Better Gym, things have got anything but better.

Negative experience: I am not happy that Better Gym charges £40.00 a membership fee, and there is a constant issue with the hot water in the male and female showers that no one seems to want to address. I have had to have a cold shower yesterday morning as 4 out of the 8 showers do not generate heat. The downstairs toilet is disgraceful compared to the upstairs toilets. The AC does not work, we are now in the height of summer last week was ridiculously hot why do your members need to have additional heat whilst in the gym? As for the facial recognition system I am still waiting for someone to reply back to my question as to why i need to submit my data from May? it doesn't work and that and the turnstiles makes the gym look like a prison. I would think members monies would be better spent fixing the members showers / AC and downstairs toilet.
Negative experience: This gym is unbelievable, the changing rooms, showers and spa area are absolutely filthy. Complaints to all levels of management in this organisation go unaddressed. AVOID
Positive experience: Gym is good with all required equipments and facilities but I found it bit more expensive. "The gym" is much better..

Positive experience: The spa has a warm and soothing atmosphere. I went for a dance class but stayed to spend time in the Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. I was very impressed with the setting, facilities and how helpful the staff all is so much so that I made an instant decision to become a member. Te location is also great and accessible by public transport. It is in a nice and quiet part of busy north London.
