Negative experience: Facilities (for Squash at least) are fine, but their website for booking doesn't work for me or my friend (refuses to allow you to add card details) - and they won't let you book any other way, so not sure how they expect you to use them...

Negative experience: Very poor staff and communication. I’m not recommending this place at all. Still waiting to answer my email and refund my money. Recently, my soon was hurt by hot water when he was in the swimming class, which understandably made him terrified to enter the pool. On another occasion, the water was too cold, and he refused to swim. The last day he was very upset and did not want to participate. When I attempted to help him, I was told by the manager that I was not allowed to assist my 3-year-old child. This approach is concerning, as young children often need parental support in these situations.

Negative experience: It took me 7 attempts to sign up because only a manager was able to set me up. I'm still waiting on a call back from the manager as I've been set up incorrectly on my direct debit. Every time I visit there is no one that can help me. As for the gym facilities, they are ok. They have made the gym slightly bigger but for some reason have less machines than before.

Negative experience: Visited today for a swim in the baby pool. Had to leave after 5mins as it was way too cold, my husband and I were freezing and my 6 month old was shivering! The showers in comparison felt boiling! We paid £12.40 for a really disappointing experience. Won’t be visiting again or recommending, unfortunately.

Negative experience: (EDIT 5th SEPTEMBER) will not be going back ever again honestly don’t want my daughter doing swimming lessons there with her school, no one has gotten back to me about rebooking my session, someone got back to my enquiry then ignored me again so tried again and asked for a refund, no reply. Taking peoples money pretty much. Rather travel further to go somewhere better. Booked to go soft play today 6-8pm didn’t know it closes at 6pm on a Sunday as it was showing the booking. Got there and was given 5 minutes for my kids to run around all 3 came out in tears and supposedly going to be emailed about credit back so we can go again another day but not received an email yet. Not happy it shouldn’t be on there if the centre isn’t going to be open at that time. We didn’t know we thought it was open abit later due to the time that was said.

Negative experience: Children's pool was too cold, when it was time to get out a member of staff left a hose with boiling hot water on, leaving the boiling hot water to go all over the floor in the way of the exit, there was no sign or even a verbal warning to let you know. The changing areas could do with a deep clean along with the soft play which looks like it hasn't had even the basic of cleans in months. Purchased some slush puppies to be told after paying it would be in a coffee cup and no straw as they had none. Then it wasn't working properly so it was scooped from the top unhygienicly. It's almost like they know they don't need to fight for competition in Buckingham since the other soft play shut and have just let the quality go downhill.

Negative experience: I have had a similar experience to those in recent reviews. I have been a member of The Swan Leisure centre for 8 years and I have been very disappointed by the limited number of equipment in the refurbished gym, the lack of spaces in the fitness classes and, recently, my experience trying to renew my membership and cancel my son's. Firstly, no-one answers the phone and then when finally someone does, you are told you need to come in during normal working hours to discuss this. Secondly, the renewal options are just not good value for money as you are unable to freeze your membership. Thirdly, if you want to cancel your membership you need to do it by email and "hopefully they will action it" (said the person I spoke to in reception). Needless to say, I have now joined PureGym and I am much happier for it as it's open 24 hours, their fitness classes are not fully booked and I can freeze my membership whenever I want, which suits me much better.

Negative experience: The swimming pool is quite cold. The staff seem very young and disinterested in what's going on in the pool. The toilets are disgusting, I couldn't take my little boy to the toilet as they were so dirty, full of toilet paper and smelt horrible. It used to be so lovely, seems since the new management company have taken over things have gone down hill.

Negative experience: Been at this gym for 3 years and has been a good gym for years. However they have been recently taken over put new bit limited equipment, and evidently not the only one to complain. Recently I have relocated and they wouldn’t refund me for the beginning of the month, and they plan to bill me for the following month aswell because I didn’t give enough notice. Ironically you can’t emend this at the front desk anymore and a have to await email communication to get anything done. This change just makes them appear money hungery and proceed to assume I singed a contract with the new company which I have never done. Please be advised what your getting into.

Negative experience: just cancelled my subscription after 10 odd years. new gym is rubbish, halved the bits of kit in there and you have to wonder around jumping on whatever is free as opposed to do a planned workout. Found a much better gym with more equipment

Negative experience: I have been a customer/active member for 4 years.When it was announced that Sirko will take over and will change the gym facility I was excited as I thought they are going to add not only new but more gym equipment.NON OF THAT HAPPEN.Not only they have taken important gym equipment out of use but they made it even worst.Today decided to cancel my membership.I am very disappointed with the whole change,the one set of dumbells of each weight,the lack of gym equipment and the non consideration of loyal customers.

Negative experience: This has been my go-to gym for my whole life, and it was perfect with a good amount of equipment. However, now that they have completely re-done the gym as of a few days ago, it is awful. Most of the gym is floor space - they have halved the number of equipment and got rid of a lot of crucial parts of my workout, so I am really disappointed. They have made half of the gym a free-weights section, which theoretically I wouldn’t mind, but have only provided three benches and one pair of each weight (what is the point!!!). I hope they sort this out, because it is safe to say that alternatives such as Buckingham PureGym are a much better value for money and offer the correct gym equipment that passionate gym-goers, such as myself, require.

Negative experience: Poor service, can’t help with any queries…ever. Swimming pool area often smells of urine. Toilets are dirty. Unhygienic. Never answer the phone. A very uninspiring gym which charges too much for membership.

Fantastic experience: I took my 3 year old swimming here. The girl on reception was friendly and helpful, the only free slot they had was in 45 minutes, so she directed us towards the soft play. The soft play was well equipped for the small space it occupied and kept my lad entertained until it was our turn in the pool. A few minutes before our slot the same girl came and found us to tell us we could go in! Absolutely no issues with the changing area. Pool was on the cooler side, not sure if the little pool was any warmer, it's a little weird you can only go in one or the other, but I suppose that's how they've worked their booking/capacities out. Nice big pool, lots of floats and toys around, lifeguards seemed attentive. For the price I can't fault it. The staff were great, the facilities were good (it's a 25+ year old pool and it's in pretty damned good condition). We will be back once my lad has grown a few more centimetres so he can go down the slide.

Negative experience: Manager was extremely rude. Charged us for “extra facilities,” which were included in the cost the past 3 months I’ve been. Think her name is Erin. Very abrupt, disrespectful and kept telling her staff to close facilities hours before closing time. Her staff had no issue with doing it for us but she demanded them not to open it as a power thing. Other members completely agreed with us in the sauna she’s out of order & their own kids can never use the facilities as they shut them 3-4 hours early as they’re too lazy to close them at the end of their shift.

Negative experience: Be careful when you sign up because while they are very quick to take your money, they literally put every blocker in the way of closing your membership. They wont close your account at the desk, they refer you online into a systems nightmare with no emails and no way to close the account. There is no way to make contact with anyone on the App. When you call in no one answers the phone. When you finally find a way to communicate they send you back into the maelstrom of systems. I would say this is specifically SET UP so you cannot come out of your membership. I have tried to find a way to communicate AGAIN and advised that if they do not shut down my accounts I will be contacting Financial Services Authority and will report them.

Negative experience: The staff rarely ever open the jacuzzi, all the stalls are soaking wet and covered in talcum powder, the gym is not worst, it does the job but there are far better gyms that i have visited thats membership costs the same as here, the staff are just school kids and just want to leave asap so close up far too early, arent friendly as well , many broken showers, one of the stall showers locks is broken, ive before also seen a plaster covered in blood sat next to the pool for days with a stream of blood leaking into the pool, chewing gum in the sauna, even tampons

Negative experience: Tried to enquire about swim courses, no response to emails. Do not seem to answer phones,unless you wish to sign up for a membership...maybe? Everyone directed to website or App, if the answer is not there, tough. Like so many organisations ,promise much, deliver little.

Negative experience: ***Supervised junior gym sessions*** are poorly run, took far too many memberships for available slots. Alot of the time now sessions are full so kids cant attend and when you try and raise this issue the replies are quite rude. Alot of the gym staff are also rude to the kids making them feel as if they dont want them there not very accomodating.

Positive experience: Not bad, but needs work. Poor WiFi in the gym, compounded by Technogym equipment so old it's not on the poorly designed new Technogym app, so you can't track your exercise. Wonky electronic turnstiles and doors that malfunction, grim toilets that need bleach. Static cycles not connected to TV service. A bit institutional which is sad for a commercial business in a fantastic location. And none of the multitude of youthful staff can fix anything, or even report it effectively.

Negative experience: Toilets out of action and dirty and cold pool. Just took my daughter swimming, she needed the toilet 10 mins in, only to find both male cubicles were locked and out of order. Reported it to staff and waited 15 mins with a desperate child, in the end I sent her (4 yo) on her own into the ladies and had to re dress her in the changing village. When we finally got back to the pool the session was finished, we were both disappointed as we only got a 10 min swim.

Negative experience: It's OK ! As a family we only use the centre for the swimming. Most of the equipment is old, broken or out of order with the jacuzzi always being covered over which you have to ask for which is so annoying. Never know if your going there to freeze your ars off or cook the water is so inconsistent. Whoever is on reception at the time always welcomes you with a smile, but apart from that the centre is run by grumpy teenagers, in four years I've never seen an adult, does this matter ? I don't know, just an observation. All in all it seems the centre needs a bit of a shake up.

Negative experience: Water cold as ....... . If you want to do winter swiming you dont need to look for open water , come to Swan Pool. I went with kids and we had to leave after 20 min it was so cold.

Negative experience: Gym facilities OK but very limited. Erin the lady who works in sales is extremely rude and condescending and does not speak to PAYING members with any form of respect whatsoever. In all fairness, I have had positive experiences with some of the staff and the gym facilities do allow for you to get a workout in, however these are very limited and the broken equipment is often not repaired for months on end. Further to this, the gym has no kettlebells and any that are around are hidden away by the PTs so they can make use of this, whilst members are given the impression that none are present. Do not buy a membership at this gym unless you want to be talked down to by staff when they are clearly stressed about their own personal issues. It is not professional conduct to let this out on members nor walk out on a member whilst they are talking to you to lodge a complaint.

Negative experience: We just called to book a time slot to go swimming. We have three children, 9, 5 and a baby. We have just called to book the two pools and been told that they are at different times and we have to split up as a family to go there. How crazy is that! We are a family and want to spend the day together not be put in different pools at different times! I’m sure the only thing not to change back from covid times are the pools! We definitely won’t be going there and I’m sure there’s lots of other people who feel the same!

Negative experience: The gym and sauna are nice. The hot tub is not warm at all. The staff are rather rude when entering and have a you need us type of attitude. Which is not how it is suppose to be, thw gym needs customers to run. They have a no refund policy and don't tell you about the freeze date to suspend your membership. To top it all off this gym is poorly run, the gates do not always work, and neither does your card. The app does not allow you into classes sometimes and does not always cancel a class. So then your account gets charged I suggest not going to this gym, save yourself the hassle and go to Pure Gym, I have heard only good things about them from members

Negative experience: This place is very poorly run, I've been a member for 6 months and I've had enough. Classes don't run, staff are unhelpful, app never works, membership cards never work on entry resulting in rude emails for not attending classes. I've been ringing for the last hour with no reply as yet again the app won't let me book a class but no one answers. Being a gym member should be good for your health..... I'm about to bust a blood vessel!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Hugely disappointed in service. Had trouble booking swimming lessons as their antiquated computer system wouldn't accept any of my bank details for a direct debit. We were promised 4 times that the slot would be saved for us while they fixed their computer systems - only to be told that the place had been given to others. This happened 3 times, for 3 separate swimming sessions. The staff promised to call back, and rarely did, promised to try and resolve the issue - they never did. Customer service has been some of the worst I've ever experienced. What's worse is that they know about the issue (we were told this has happened to others) and they still can't figure it out. After 4 weeks now the issue remains unresolved, we have no swimming lessons for my daughter and i've given up hope on anyone from the centre ever calling me back. Hugely disappointed, frustrated and very annoyed.

Negative experience: I booked the 'leisure pool' for 3pm and when we showed up we were told we booked the kids pool. We hadn't and we showed them this but the receptionist was extremely rude and adamant that we had it wrong. I thought the customer was always right? They didn't even do us the courtesy of a refund after they wrongly put us in a toddler pool for the last 10 minutes of a session.

Negative experience: We went swimming today with our 2 year old. We had a 25 minute bracket, which actually turned into 20 minutes when they called us out of the pool early, then turned into 15 mins once you've sorted yourself and child out ready to swim. One man on the desk was particularly rude, he was blunt,and unhelpful. We had no idea about where we were supposed to go to change, or which direction we were supposed to be going. Overall unhappy with our experience. I wouldn't go back until all restrictions were lifted.

Negative experience: Would give zero stars if it was an option. After many visits to Swan Pool and Leisure the last one let them down. The young woman working on this day did nothing when problems involving physical violence were happening and was witnessed by several people. It was almost as if the violent family were running the place and if you didn't like it you just had to leave without a refund. Most of us did leave all in shock at what had just happened. I complained about this to their head office who also did absolutely nothing and has ignored every email I have sent since. I recommend you find somewhere that has staff who can handle situations like this.

Fantastic experience: Good place to chill with the family and is great for bonding tome. It also has a swimming pool which one of my children do swimming there. Also there is a baby area with a good indoor inflatable (I think that is what it is called) which will help with their imagination overall a great place I definitely commend this place

Negative experience: Really unhelpful reception staff - very inconsistent service and poor organisation. Told by a receptionist to phone back the next day to book an event with required information, which I did, only to be told the next day that I couldn't. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told no I couldn't - even though the receptionist had just spoken to them! Please sort out your organisation and helpfulness to your customers!

Fantastic experience: Good, clean swimming pool. Has a smaller splash pool for small children as well as the regular pool. Not much in the way of fun features but excellent for swimming. Changing facilities are kept clean.

Fantastic experience: Having arrived at Swan Pool last night at 8pm and not having checked the website properly , the main pool was closed for a swimming group. I explained that I only came to do some hydro therapy, and they very kindly opened the small pool with my own life guard so I go do this. Big thank you

Negative experience: Horrible I got kicked out for throwing a ball and yes hitting someone with it 3 times. Yes I did wrong but when I got told to leave apparently they gave me 2 warnings to stop yet they didn’t. The young girl gave us abuse and tried to hit us physically yet at no point was she spoken to. Bad skills and bad listening as when we told our story we got shouted at and told to leave at once. One man though was very nice and listened to us and accepted what had gone on (Robert)-lifeguard but not very friendly females work there!

Positive experience: Clean and well kept. Like how the small pool is consistent depth so young children feel more confident whilst learning.

Positive experience: I swim here regularly in the morning. The changing rooms are clean, the lockers are clean, the pool is a good temperature and the staff are friendly but unobtrusive.
