Nuffield Health Crawley Fitness & Wellbeing Gym

Negative experience: There used to be two Nuffield gyms in Crawley, one closed so all of the traffic ended up in this gym so it is always too full and lots of waiting for equipment and especially weights and squat racks. Stealthily increased the cost of the membership after the membership had started from about £70 to £90 and then made me pay a month extra at the end because I cancelled the direct debit but didn't give them enough advance warning. Will definitely look for a smaller independent gym next time

Negative experience: Charge upto £120 / month and can't even fix the broken lockers... Your own staff were walking around the changing room today saying "maaaaate, the gym would go bankrupt if we had to fix all of these" Maybe don't let it get to such disrepair in the first place, and at the prices you charge, think about not buying the cheapest locks A joke...

Fantastic experience: Christmas party it was the best night and they played a nice song The oldest was awesome even thou the food was not good but the party is great

Negative experience: Nice facility but frustration at a few aspects considering it is one of the most expensive gyms in Crawley. - equipment takes way too long to get repaired. Most of the time it's weeks. (Both legs press machines currently broken, 1 cable machine missing a adjustment nob and another cable broken entirely) - prices. Continual price increases are driving away loyal customers. There no real reflection of what you get for the price increase. Shower room and outdoor seating revamp which wasn't really needed. They need to put the money into equipment. -carpark has had massive issues of being completely full in the past. -aircon in summer. Miraculously it seems to break everytime it gets hot and the gym becomes intolerably hot. This was the same for crawley central when that was open too. For the money that some people pay, its really not worth it. People pay various rates, from £50-£100+. This is generally the view of most people you speak to. You can get exactly the same type of gym experiance for half the price at K2 or one of the budget gyms.

Fantastic experience: Good gym

Positive experience: Great health centre with lots of machines from weights to running etc. spin was virtual ‘Les Mills’ always good and you know what you are getting. Shame there was no ‘trip’ ‍♂️ Very open gym, did not swim, no guest towels. But the staff were so friendly and chatty. Not very busy on a Friday night ! Small coffee area, not quite a David Lloyd but very functional, clean and does what it says on the tin ️‍♀️‍♀️‍♂️

Negative experience: Over crowded gym. No parking beacuse it's over crowded. Randomly increase prices.

Fantastic experience: If you want to help your physical health try a gym. If you want to improve your physical and mental health at the same time, goto Nuffield Crawley. The facilities are excellent. The instructors make it very special. I mainly do classes, and they are hard, but fun. Exactly what you want. There is a great sense of belonging and they really do care about your well being. Keep it up and keep improving. Well done.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a loyal member of this gym for over 10 years and still love it!! The main studio is very spacious and there are so many classes to choose from every day. All the instructors are brilliant - very friendly & make the classes great fun. The recovery zone has been a fantastic addition. It’s also a very social place - I’ve made so many good friends that it makes working out a real joy as we also have so much fun. Thank you team Nuffield Crawley!!!

Negative experience: Made a complaint in very polite format and a so called ‘multi-site customer experience manager’ emailed me back being very unprofessional and extremely rude. Not to mention the cleanliness leaves much to be desired and the unwillingness of staff to confront people shaving beards in the sink (which is against their own policy) do yourself a favour and AVOID THIS GYM AT ALL COSTS!!

Negative experience: Dear Nuffield Team, I believe your response to Tiziano C. is not adequate. Tiziano has raised an important issue that requires your attention, as well as the attention of parents with children. While we all agree that it is a family place, it is inappropriate for children and teenagers to be exposed to older men showing their bodies and posing in various positions. This can be embarrassing for other adults and uncomfortable for young kids with parents in the changing rooms (sometimes young girls). If this is truly a family club, we should act in a manner that respects social norms and ethics. A family club should not expose children to nudity, something we certainly do not do in our homes, which are the ultimate family environments. I understand that it may be challenging for the gym to control this, but a simple sign reminding members to be mindful of children while changing could raise awareness and encourage more considerate behavior. A family club should uphold social ethics and ensure a comfortable environment for all its members, both young and adult alike. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Negative experience: Great gym but NO AIR CON so it’s unbearable going to the gym in this heat Please sort it out Nuffield

Negative experience: Been here as a guest on Friday 26 July. At 15:30 where Plenty of kids everywhere. Really impressed about the gym size and the cleanliness but after my session has been done I decide to have a shower but I felt really disgusted when I saw kids inside the changing rooms with their parents and other adults completely naked and their genitals close to the faces of the kids!!! I felt very uncomfortable. I decided to have a shower inside the disable shower area where doors are and I can store my gym bag. Good as a gym but kids should be stay in a specific area not the main changing room.

Positive experience: Been a member (on and off) for several years and pretty happy with what's offered. Agree that it is a tad expensive considering how busy it tends to be (I generally avoid the 5-7pm rush so have never struggled to park). Equipment is generally well maintained although it is extremely frustrating to see weights left abandoned around the gym floor (dumbbells especially). Also quite frutstrating seeing a group of 4-6 kids chilling, chatting and on their phones while "using" a piece of equipment but going in the evenings when it's adults only has helped avoiding that particular issue. Air conditioning is unfortunately a huge let down here though - when we had the heat wave a few weeks ago I had to cut my workouts short to avioid passing out from the heat (was feeling faint enough as it was). It's been an issue since covid but most noticeable during the summer months so not sure if/when it will ever get fixed. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful in my experience so absolutely no complaints there. If they could fix the air conditioning and work a little harder keeping the gym floor tidy then it would easily be a 5 star review!

Fantastic experience: Thank you everyone for being amazing. I never thought that at 69 I would enjoy going to the gym! In 9 months I've gone from very fat and having chest infections every 6 to 8 weeks, hospital admissions and asthma attacks, pain that meant I couldn't walk further than the end of my very small garden to a lot less fat and no chest infections. None of the wonderful staff have let me give up on myself. An asthma attack was met with care and kindness and now everyone keeps an eye on me to make sure I don't push beyond my limits. I can go for walks with my grandchildren now as well. Thank you again to everyone working there that I'm proud to call friends.

Negative experience: Sadly the gym is way too busy at all times of the day, rising membership fees and poor parking facilities make this gym unusable despite its great facilities. Will be looking at alternative's which will cost 1/3 less and hopefully less busy and closer to town

Positive experience: Very nice gym and pool but parking can be difficult. They really need to expand the car park.

Fantastic experience: I can only really use this gym at weekends, love the layout and works well. The studio upstairs is superb, I do a class on Sundays with Paul Buxton. I have seen a huge change over the year since using by way of increased volume and parking issues, nevertheless well laid out and clean. I have joined today making it my principle club and Emily helped this process, super friendly team too.

Negative experience: Over priced gym, too busy, near impossible to park at peak times. Price increases every couple of months. Wouldn’t recommend.

Positive experience: Not enough classes or not very well distributed throughout the day (not great options during the weekends). I wish there were more BodyAttacks and BodyCombats (not all trainers are equally good with this class, more Combats with Ana-Maria!) Overcrowded areas, sometimes you spent most of the time hunting some of the machines (especially adductor/abductor).

Negative experience: Ive been a member here around 2-3 years, Recently way too oversubscribed. Car park is full in the middle of a weekday, late at night and weekends so not really ever a great time to go. I wouldn’t even bother at peak times! Membership cost increasing because they’ve put a few new tiles on the wall in the bathroom and bought over some kettlebells from the other one that closed.. Never seen anyone in the recovery zone that is apparently a massive benefit. The pool is nice, but now really busy unfortunately. They have a lot of bikes so if that’s what you want then join, if not you’ll be hard pushed to get the weights / machine you want. Only one set of some machines for e.g if you’re looking to use a leg weight machine they have one of each type in the entire gym which are constantly in use. They expanded the gym floor by getting rid of the children’s play area but didn’t put any new machines in so I haven’t felt the benefit. Lots of machines not maintained so constantly stuff out of order and takes a long time to fix. Staff seem friendly just don’t think it’s managed well. Would of rated it higher because it can be a nice gym but just feel recently it’s not worth what you pay.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, the facilities are amazing and the staff are lovely. They are so helpful and encouraging which is such a plus for someone like me who’s not a natural gym goer. Literally everyone from the management, the reception staff, the trainers and the cleaners are all a great bunch of people. I have also had a personal trainer for the first time, Katie who is just brilliant, I really look forward to my sessions with her. Even in the first month I felt so much more confident using all the equipment which was quite daunting at first.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member now for 2 years. I could go to my local leisure centre however I have chosen worth primarily(nuffield) for the swimming pool as its quieter and overtime I have come to enjoy swimfit , boxfit and yoga. The instructor are all passionate ,welcoming and friendly. But it's more than that nuffield, it provides a hub for the community in other ways. I find it supportive to the larger community supporting those that may find it harder to access these service for a variety of circumstances. supporting diffrent groups in and out of the centre work8ng with other charity events and providing support in the centre through bring awarness of healty issues such as cancer and providing support in the centre through wellness programs not only womens health but mentel health and through supported assistance in training programs for those recovering from injurey and lufe changing events to those with parkinsons . For me its simply a friendly face and a kind voice from a member of staff , it's a warm welcome and a chat when the days not gone so well , it's been more than a gym it's been a safe place to recover from the difficulties that the world can be especially since covid. Nuffield has had to face some changes of late and we all have had to adjust to it the staff more so and I would like to thank the staff for showing resilience and respect for your members when faced with some of the difficulties you have had to deal with of late.sometimes we loss the bigger picture of good health it's for a good heart ❤️ thank you

Fantastic experience: I use the gym frequently and can only say how friendly and welcoming I find the staff. I only use the pool but as we are sadly lacking pools in the area this can get busy at times but it is easy to choose quiet times to enjoy a swim. It is a light bright pool area with the pool being just the right temperature for swimming.

Negative experience: I sympathise with all those who have recently experienced over-crowding, no parking and poor customer service. It's happened to me too. I was given 4 days notice that the pool would not be available to adults between 4pm and 6pm. That's the only time I can swim and have been doing so happily without issue until now. It would mean paying a fee for something I couldn't use and the lack of consideration is frankly appalling. The reason, I was told was to ensure non-members weren't using the facilities - turns out that wasn't true. Instead of the usual 2 lanes for swimming lessons, all of them were taken. No wonder adults weren't welcome. This is blatant age discrimination. Swimming lessons are part of the school curriculum and these 'lessons' are a luxury after school activity, which has encroached so far as to push all other age groups and abilities out. The Nuffield now resembles a Butlins holiday camp, not a leisure centre for your health and fitness. However, before I give up hope and fall into an early grave due to their selfishness, I have created a petition and ask anyone who feels that they too have been pushed out due to poor management and a takeover by the little people to sign it. Negative experience: I had a gym membership with Crawley, I tried to cancel this October 2023 but they ignored me. After a chase I got an email response confirming the membership would be cancelled and that my last Direct Debit would be 1 December 2023. I received this confirmation email 3 November 2023. They have continued to take the direct debits this year so have taken 2 more months. I again contacted them and was told I needed to send their email back to them! I did this and it bounced back. I then called again and spoke to a third person who told me she could not access any of her colleagues emails etc. This means that I now have to start again and email their emails back to them again. As it stands I am still out of pocket and wondering if they will ever refund the money that they have stolen from me. I would just urge caution, these people can’t be trusted and you will have to jump through many hoops if you need to cancel, even if you get confirmation it is cancelled it may not be

Positive experience: Cathy, Zoe and Katie do really excellent body balance classes, they are all great and usually worth the membership alone! The pool is also good being 25M. However, I have recently cancelled my membership. This is partly due to the fact that I don't have as much time to attend, but also as it has got increasingly busy, making it difficult to book into classes, classes being cancelled by the gym and the car park being a nightmare at busy times. There is no way to expand the car park, so it's hard to see how they can resolve this. It has been much more busy than the usual January rush and has coincided with the Central Crawley branch closing.

Negative experience: Sad to see this once brilliant gym deteriorate into the worst. Leaving at the end of the month due to repeated increase in fees and decline in services. Large numbers or classes have been cancelled, the gym is over crowded and there is often no machines free and as soon as some are free the staff turn them off and put a sign on it saying its not to be used to save electricity. There is often no parking atall and we have to turn around and go straight home. Don't even want to go into the changing room situation,just to say it's disgusting and borderline comical. The mat areas have all been joined into one large mat which leaves no personal space to stretch and is basically unusable. The staff and company seem insistent on blaming members for any issues that arise and take no responsibility or positive action. On social media all comment options are turned off so people can't voice their thoughts

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. Most days it's impossible to park as the memberships have been oversold. So many little things in the gym which they don't seem to care about. It takres a couple of minutes to fill up a water bottle as they don't have a decent dispenser, half the batteries in the lockers are on their way out. So many times I have seen members inconvenienced by having to get a staff member to unlock their locker when this happens....once they have found the machine to do this. The gym itself is generally clean but the lockers seem never to be cleaned. Empty bags and mud are often in the lockers for days. The temperature in the sauna and steam rooms have been lowered, so in the already over crowded gym people stay mcuh longer, and often it's difficult to get in. There are so many things that have a solution, but they never do anything about it, so you can only assume theyt don't care

Negative experience: Lack of parking is the biggest issue that faces the gym. It is a nonsense. Whatever time of the day you go it is a problem. It has come to the point now that I drop my wife off to use the gym then drive home and pick her up later. What is going to be done to address this issue. I have been a member at this gym for two years now and the lack of parking has never been as bad as this ever.

Negative experience: Used to be great but is now terrible due to greed. Way oversubscribed and not invested to keep up with the huge influx. The gym always says it’s aware of the problems and trying everything it can to solve them when the simple solution would be to stop taking on members, but because of greed they won’t. Toilets always a complete mess. Kids everywhere at times they shouldn’t be and staff never enforcing their own rules. Pay a premium and get a below average service, most staff members seem more concerned with their social media image than having pride in the club

Negative experience: Gym is way way oversubscribed, i understand the January rush, but this has been going on for some time - just been unbelievable recently. seems mental that there hasnt been a cap put on members… staffs attitude is “just come at a different time” Steam room has recently been changed to unisex & is always busy now, though it does flow as everyone seems fed up of the lack of steam! Funny! A brand new steam room, just more like a new damp room with the least relaxing ever disco lights in there ( please for the love of god just set these to one colour ). Changing rooms have been swapped a few times while this neverending renovation has been going on & it seems they just chuck the men in the one with the work going on in, first there it was 2 manky portashowers & now the entire male membership shares one toilet - im absolutely certain ive seen people going to piss in the showers because of this. As a little cherry on top, instead of lowering membership costs while this chaos is going on as a little apology/thanks, it was not long ago raised instead :) it really is such a shame there is not much leisure center wise in crawley/redhill! Side note: its a real shame as the gym facilites pretty good it looks like its mostly the classes etc causing the issues.

Negative experience: Don't bother if you want a gym you can use, twice this week iv driven up. Circled a full car park 3 times and driven home. I joined to use the sauna, steam room and pool. But if you can get parked you still won't get a space in any of the above areas. They closed the gym in town and everyone has migrated into one gym. Not sure why they think it's a good idea to have ludicrously short openings times on the weekend. The only days people have spare time the gym is closed. Please some one open a new gym in Crawley.

Negative experience: Great gym. Friendly staff, all facilities you could need, and here lies the problem. It's way over subscribed. Parking is a joke. At all times of the day. Even though it's big, it's impossible to do a work out. And I have tried all times it's open. Just to many people use the gym. If you try going as it opens at 6am, by 6:10 it's packed out. I have resorted joining another gym as a back up for when I cant get parked. I will be looking to cancel my membership if I can. It's a shame as I thought it's just what I was looking for. But if I can't use it. It's a pointless expense

Positive experience: Nuffield Health is my first gym that I joined because my friend has recommended it for me. Ever since I stepped a foot into that building, I was flabbergasted with how it was laid out. I had low expectations at first, perhaps due to it being my first gym, but it was really nice to see that the gym was upstairs, at first it felt like it was heaven! When I got the application form to sign up the staff were very caring towards me and they informed me about the instructions properly. After my first induction, I knew how to use everything straight away, it was very important that I knew about what I should do if anything detrimental had occurred and I was told about everything perfectly. I had then started to go to the gym 4 times a week and this was not to work on my body a lot, but it was because it felt like home to me. The routine that I had in the gym had led me to feeling more optimistic than ever, whilst also being more confident with my body. Going with friends is better in my opinion because there is a lack of benches for people doing weights, but it is understandable considering the other wide-range of exercise equipment available. I recommend the gym for those who want to start their journey in gym because it is perfect for beginners and there is also many varieties of activities hosted so keep you pleased! The reason I have given this place a 4 out of 5 is because there is a little bit of room for improvement in terms of the latest information about closures and refurbishments distributed to the gym community as soon as possible because I had gone to the gym one day, not knowing that it would be closed, and I was not informed about this the day before. Moreover, the prices may be expensive for some items considering that they would be sold for about 75 percent of the price in a shop, but usually I don't really buy things from the gym because I bring my own water in. Also, there was a time in which the staff could have been a bit more understanding about an issue I had in the gym once but perhaps it was hard to resolve the issue. But other than that, the gym is perfect for anyone that wants to be entertained whilst working out your body and your mind because the gym allows all ages so do not worry about your age because you can still express yourself and do what you love in Nuffield Health. However, to conclude, if the price is a problem, you may want to think about it because the price does gradually keep on increasing but there is not really anything special in the gym for the particular price.

Negative experience: Don’t even bother signing up to a membership here. No parking and people literally fight in the car park for a space. You will need to be there at least an hour before your class to stand any chance. There’s never any staff to be found and they don’t care if you have a complaint because they’ll do nothing about it. LOADS of kids underage who shouldn’t even be allowed in the gym, running around everywhere causing chaos and the gym is extremely dirty. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Positive experience: I feel like this is a great gym not sure why there’s a flood of negative reviews for very picky things. The downside is the shared sauna/steam room which is often full now the other location is closed. Usually full of men and young guys who are loud and don’t stop talking. They often try to mess with the steam room to make it hotter instead of being patient. But that’s not the staff’s fault. The facilities are always very clean and the showers have shelves for you to put your things on. The lockers are huge and you don’t need a padlock. The staff are usually helpful and approachable. I find that the members NEVER put away their weights and leave things around. Again not the staff’s fault but would be good to have a bit more organisation throughout the day. Good range of equipment and tonnes of classes. The gym floor doesn’t feel cold in fact I wish there was more air con. I think having more education like signs up reminding people to be respectful since the memberships are only going to increase. I think the staff are doing what they can with what they have. Let’s not forget the other location is now closed and there must be a spike in sign ups.

Negative experience: Badly managed gym. staff prefer chatting between each other than doing their job. They ask you to wait whilst they hug each other or check each others phone??!! I ve never seen anything quite like this. Yes, gym is very busy since other crawley gym closed. Facilities are OK.

Negative experience: Since the gym in town closed down there is a massive parking issue, people are fighting in the car park over a parking space . We are paying so much money for 5 of us as a family, can't even get parking space now . Waited 45 min for a parking space We are cancelling our membership. Very disappointed

Negative experience: The other gym in town got shut down so I had a taster day at Worth gym, I am very dissapointed because the sauna and steam room even though dated was much better in the last place and it just generally felt like it had a warmer and more friendly atmosphere. This place reminds me of an industrial warehouse, probably because that is exactly what it is, it is very cold. The pool is cold, the sauna is cold (just 70 degrees is like a hot day in a very hot country) the steam room is even worse, it's very cold in there with just a little bit of steam swirling around, it feels unhygenic becuase usually the high heat kills the germs but here I felt like was sitting in other peoples germs without the heat. I will not be joining on full membership. On a plus side I did feel like the staff were being friendly saying hello but I doubt they would appreciate my complaints.

Negative experience: Very expensive for not much of a premium service. They have refurbed the showers, with no shelves to put your toiletries on whilst showering, for the price they charge they should offer some nice shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel (fixed to the wall so it’s environmentally friendly). Bring back towel service (corona is over). The new mixed steam room doesn’t have any scrapers or hosepipe to wash down the areas before sitting on the bench, not hygenic at all. Everyone talks in the steam room with no regard for others, it’s meant to be relaxing, so stop talking and relax and let others relax. There needs to be more to make this feel like a premium gym. The staff are clueless, no real understanding of customer service, they can’t even answer basic questions. A little attention to staff training, providing quality service/accessories would do wonders at this gym. Also, the lockers are bit old and worn out and the cleaner is super loud when cleaning in the showers so it disturbs the peace.

Negative experience: The gym is good usually kept clean, facilities are okay. However, due to refurbishments there are no mens showers atm only 2 plastic well below hygienic standard pop up plastic showers. The gym is also let down by poor reception staff who seem to be chatting amongst themselves all the time not professional at all, they leave a ‘debt list ‘ out on reception with members details ( name, phone numbers and address) surely against GDPR. Furthermore, if you try to call them on a weekend they never answer the phone….. not sure what management are doing if there is any.

Negative experience: Unbelievable that they charge what they do for this place. For the price I'd expect top quality equipment and surroundings. Half the stuff is dated/worn and the music system is always cutting in and out. The layout isn't great either it needs moving around for better accessibility,plus put more varied equipment in there and get rid of some stuff that isn't used. On top of this is it generally always busy which I understand is difficult to combat, but more equipment and things put in the right place would help. They SERIOUSLY need to drop prices coz it isn't worth it at all!

Negative experience: The gym used to be OK but from 4 onwards now its a children's gym. Can't get on anything at all. Hoping enough people will complain it will remake them think about letting children in. If its changed I'll remove my review.

Negative experience: What has happened to this place? After 4pm on a week day it’s a children’s gym, groups of 6 or more of them taking over equipment, rude with it as well. Half the lads just chatting up girls in their school class and not sharing equipment. This needs to be broken up, some of us paying nearly £100/mth for this, it’s a joke!

Fantastic experience: A good place to work you body and mind, nice people, good experience

Negative experience: Raising the price but cant sort simple power cuts? Blame it on the area but when kicked out next door has lights on & the wifi has been on every time. Cant see any improvements worth a price hike, if anything id say price needs dropping unless improvements to equipment & car park made. Children need banning from the free weights else someone is going to hurt themselves very soon. Kids putting way too much weight that they cannot even hold in an attempt to impress their huge groups of mates that gather around equipment. Needs urgent attention.

Positive experience: Is a great gym, great people, awesome facilities. Lost my fifth star as Frank no longer has his job here so have no one to talk to

Negative experience: Small car park difficult to park when even slightly busy. Price keeps increasing but nothing improves, if anything it’s all rather neglected and tatty. Especially pool area and changing rooms. Gym staff all seem pretty arrogant. Rather than messing about in their phones or admiring their own reflection they could just get on with their day job. All in all a pretty awful Nuffield especially given the price. 1 star. Given another star as it’s got gym equipment which is the minimum you should expect from a gym.

Positive experience: Good gym but pricey and very busy at certain times of the day.

Negative experience: If you are after a proper gym, this is not the place. Forget going at any time between 4 and 6:30, has a real problem with children and people aimlessly hogging machinery. Free weights are decent but machinery is somewhat lacking. If you are after the leisure side, then great i cant fault that part. Parking can be a nightmare.

Negative experience: The gym has no paper towels/ tissues or cleaning materials on the gym floor the gym has also put there prices up and closed the sauna / steam rooms earlier Biggest problem is people sweating all over the machines and no tissues to clean

Fantastic experience: Lovely big clean gym, loads of machines and free weights, parking, cafe, sauna, steamroom, 2 pools

Fantastic experience: If you’re thinking of joining this gym then you won’t be disappointed. So many gyms I’ve been to in the past where half the machines don’t work, staff attitude hasn’t been great and just generally need some TLC. Swimming pool and gym both great, shower area a little tired but nothing major and certainly not a deal breaker. I personally love going there.

Fantastic experience: Good value for near London. Nice temperature in the pool (cool). Perfect for lap swimming. Nice sauna. Nice steam room.

Negative experience: Good gym. Industrial premises with equivalent atmosphere. Good equipment but lacking resistance machines Worst aspect is parking. Had to give up this evening. They need to increase parking or reduce membership. Chatham park much better equipment and easy parking. Not recommended.

Negative experience: Overcrowded last couple of weeks and hygiene issues in Sauna. Some people don’t even shower come in sweating after workout and leave their aromas around. Disgusting. Basic etiquette.

Positive experience: Great gym. Parking can be challenging at busy times. Pool and changing rooms are always cold. Good choice of classes. I really like this place

Negative experience: Just a disappointment each time I use it. Pool and air around are always extremely cold (besides hot summer days of course when the don’t need to heat it) in winter my husband was sick every time after visit- the same for my child. Kids pool is either half closed ( for privat kids and adults!!! classes) or u will find there some man chilling after Sauna without taking shower- disgusting- was mentioning it to staff- they don’t care! Meanwhile kids can’t use saune to warm up a minute after ice cold pool. Nothing is available for kids during holidays but u are still paying for their membership. They have clients just because it’s not a big choice around- but we are definitely changing the club.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service and manager helped the armed forces use the gym while supporting nhs 5*

Negative experience: Always way too hot. Equipment quite often neglected. Expensive membership. Often overcrowded at peak times. Changing rooms have mould in showers and panel below the sink falls off. Staff attitude is a real mix. Pool is alright though! Take what you want from it but if you aren’t interested in swimming wayyy better gyms in Crawley for a far better price

Fantastic experience: The best gym I've trained at to date. Wish I could take this gym with me + the staff when I move house :(. Equipment is in plenty, it's spacious, the staff are helpful and friendly and you can get a decent Vegan protein shake after your workout. 1 more month left to train here and I'll make the most of it. Fantastic experience: Oh my gosh... Took my 4 year old swimming here for the first time, we are members at Nuffield but have only been to the one closer to us (Crawley Town) an upgrade comparing them is an understatement, I think so low of the other place that I've brached out to this one and will definitely keep going here instead! A few things that made the experience, - -A team that smile and acknowledges you when entering and throughout the experience. -How you don't need a locker padlock and the lockers are so organised and easy to keep organised in them. -Cleaning team that actually clean and not just once while there but throughout maintaining the great hygiene. -Manager or boss woman (in heels) also acknowledges you and makes sure everything is running smoothly, while smashing the smart dress code. -Music isn't too loud like. -Clean cafe area, again with staff that aren't stood chatting to other staff or friends that have come to visit! My mind has been blown with my experience today, even my daughter has asked that we don't go back to other one! Well done team!! Keep up the great work, it definitely feels like it is paying off!

Positive experience: Useful. Friendly staff. Friendly Personal trainer. Very good food. Nice layout of gym floor and seems to be fully equipped gym.

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff

Negative experience: Extremely overcrowded gym with shorter opening hours than most. Kit here is poorly maintained and has lots of cardio kit out of order for extended periods. They also have a problem supplying carabiner clamps to make all the cable machines operable?! Very poor show for a premium pricetag. To add fuel to the fire, during peak times, they host a class in the middle of the gym, which uses up valuable kit that would otherwise ease the burden of being at overcapacity. Most staff members seem lovely though, shame about everything else.

Negative experience: Nuffield Health, Crabbet park. It is supposed to be a health club but is more like going to a night club, all they need is the Glitter mirror ball to add to the atmosphere. The music on many occasion's has been so loud people have to shout at each other. Many members have complained but on one has ever listened. On my last day I could not say goodbye to a friend without bellowing as the music was so loud. The manager said " It is not as loud as it was". On one occasion the music was blasting so much a member who was plugged into his own music could not hear it properly. £55.00 a month to be blasted with Dyson and Mercedes adverts followed by a constant thud thud thud is hardly good practice for a health club. They also used to provide towels as you walked in, not anymore, blaming Covid.

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out,very friendly staff

Negative experience: I was there on Friday swimming. A guy was coughing a lot every time he finished one cycle in the 1st lane. At the time I was in the swimming pool, none of the staff went to check if this guy was ok. I was pretty scared when I went back home afraid I might get the COVID19 and spread it to my new born child and wife. I won’t be suprised if new pandemic outbreak from Nuffield in Crawley and the whole gym had to close again. This was a poor management and double standard management.

Negative experience: Since the membership was increased in September the club has had continuous problems with the swimming, either heating problems or chemical problems. If you only swim like me , we should be entitled to a good will gesture on our membership fees. It is the time of good will to all men ( and women too). Keith Lyons FCIMSPA
