Positive experience: I joined a few weeks ago. I joined for the swimming pool. It's small it's short but relatively uncrowded- I've had to wait a couple of times for space to swim. I do a mile 108 lengths every other day. The changing rooms are small and not the best. But I can go anytime without booking Parking is free. I think it's value for money

Negative experience: The changing room looks like they have not been cleaned in years. The smell from the urinals was overpowering. The pool side looks like it needs a deep, deep clean. Green algae and spider webs everywhere. I could go on but I'm limited by characters!!

Negative experience: I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I usually go swimming at Fore Street almost every Saturday or Sunday. I used to enjoy this exercise and I try to do this regularly. However, I don't know if it's just me, but I seem to notice they're recently playing a radio too loudly. One time, I couldn't even stay long, because of this. This sort of thing is unnecessary and some people need to relax while they're swimming. To be honest, I'd rather listen to nothing while doing my exercises. Unless something is done, I feel like I've been put off coming back there.

Negative experience: Avoid, I joined early in the year and have since left after being fed up that nothing had been cleaned for months. Everywhere is dirty and no one seems to care. Showers are constantly cold, little or no water pressure and no ETA when they will have hot water if you have more than one shower on you onky get a drip of water. Soap not often full in the loos. Pool is gritty. Management have to wait for China to agree for things to be done and that takes ages. Gym machines are old and everything just seems run down , it like everyone has given up caring .

Negative experience: Joined because its 2mins from home and needed a kick start. Charging £40 a month for a gym that has equipment covered in rust, to the point that the weight machines do not move fluently, its filthy dirty, there was a plaster in the cup holder on one of the treadmills for 1 week before i put it in the bin myself so obviously not regularly cleaned, the water machine didn't work for nearly the 3 months I was there and still out of action the last time I went Used the changing rooms once and so glad I had flip flops it was disgusting. The pool area was also not nice with the bottom of the pool being very gritty Do not be fooled by its ‘convenient’ location not worth it at all

Negative experience: Staff nice, but the policy's are messed up. Cancelled my gym 9 months ago as they was running no service, pool closed and gym hours no good. Then 9 months on try to redeem £60 when I thought I'd give them another chance. Shocking treatment.

Negative experience: be careful to read the small print on any contract you sign. This is a warning to those who do not read carefully what the T&C's state. from my experience, this is a place I would not ever consider re-joining.

Positive experience: Good little gym for a someone who works away from home. Good value with pool and steam room to use.

Fantastic experience: The pool was very good and it was definitely worth the wait and the hot tub was very good as well as the steam room and sauna and a very merry christmas team you fit

Negative experience: The Central Membership team have not followed their own terms and conditions. The only method to contact them is via email, and they consistently take more than a week to reply. It has taken me 3 months so far to bring an issue to their attention and they have done nothing useful to resolve it. Jist reassured me that I will enjoy my membership from then... I'm not. The closures were not well compensated for, despite explicit instructions on what is expected in the terms and conditions! One rule applies to customers and another to them. Very unfair. Very poor service!

Negative experience: Needs to look after its members better. Facilities constantly out of action and little engagement to let members know of disruption. Staff turnover is incredibly high, which I guess shows how much head office care about looking after staff and the facilities. Contracts contain unfair terms that enable the facilities to be closed for 30 days without breaking the contract, where else would that fly? Staff on site are good, but something is going fundamentally wrong with how this place is run by those above them. Hopefully the recent issues will show those in charge that they need to evaluate the way they are running this facility.

Fantastic experience: Great little gym. Lovely staff. Good range of equipment too.

Positive experience: Went for a visit to be shown facilities signed up as a member, more than happy with what I saw, hopefully will enjoy the pool sauna and steam room

Positive experience: The staff are amazing but sadly the facilities are rather lacking. There is always something not working, the Aircon in the gym hasn't worked for almost a year now, the girls toilet took 5 weeks before it was fixed and there's a nasty smell in the changing room every so often from the drains. For the money it costs it's not worth it as it seems the company doesn't want to fork out the money to keep it to a good standard.

Fantastic experience: Do the aqua class every Tuesday. Very good class

Negative experience: We came to this area to visit our family, but just found out that the pool advertised is not open to children. We are very disappointed because the pool is closed from a silly incident. We only came to this hotel because of the pool. incredibly rude as they didn’t even advertise it as closed to children on the website! Would give 0 stars if i could.

Fantastic experience: Very polite staff and efficient. Yes it is cheaper else where but I would be paying just as much on bus fair every week so no complaints here. Love it!!!

Negative experience: Very Dirty bad staff not give your money

Fantastic experience: At first I was a little taken back by the size of the pool, but I worked out that it's about 15metres, relatively empty, not many people here to use the pool, but the gym instead so you can get a number of lengths in peacefully without having to worry too much about getting in someone's way. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Negative experience: Very poor, used the pool only to discovery loads of stones in there. Equipment was out of use due to being broken. Changing room's in a rotten way not to mention staff have no can do attitude. Definitely won't be going again when you can get way better for your money eles where.

Positive experience: Great place to go apart from the changing rooms being refitted very poor quality at tiles broken an the floor is dirty most nights. One other problem is you can't use the pool to 830 some night's due to classes using the whole pool despite being told they should only use half the pool

Fantastic experience: Great new refurbished changing rooms and showers, amazing new rebrand and decor, very professional and welcoming staff!

Positive experience: We arrived to friendly greetings from staff and a nice clean building. Online we had looked at mobility access and should have been able to get a wheelchair right to the pool side however this was not possible with the electric wheelchair due to the corners in the corridor. To be honest even with a Manuel chair it would have been tight. The changing room is small and cramped. The spa itself was in good working order, clean and at good temperatures. We had a lovley couple of hours there.
