Fantastic experience: Good to see lots of kids learning a good range of aquatic skills in a safe, warm and supportive setting. The hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows is excellent too.

Positive experience: We went to the Sunday farmers market which was quite good produce tea coffee and some craft items in all very good and free entry

Positive experience: -Water temperature was 29 degrees but it was so cold that my sons lips were purple and he was shaking. The staff advised its due cold air. Been on many swimming pools but none of them were that cold. -One hairdryer for whole women's changing room. -Also lockers that keep the change, it's time for an update. +Great sizing of pool for kids +Friendly staff +Clean changing rooms

Fantastic experience: I am a recent member to the gym, joining last week and would highly recommend anyone considering joining! All of the team are so friendly and welcoming and happy to help you with anything you need whilst exercising. In particular Andrew who conducted my induction And I have attended two of his classes combat and yoga fushion. Both classes were so much fun and he made me feel so comfortable and welcome in an environment I would usually find intimidating. His classes are so fun and lively, he has a natural ability to make you feel comfortable and I actually look forward to working out! This is the first time I have ever actually enjoyed exercise. Everybody I have come across has been so friendly and it's just a lovely place to be.

Fantastic experience: Hired the pool for daughter’s birthday party today. Staff were great with setting up. Lifeguards great with the difference in ability of swimmers. Everyone had a great time thank you.

Negative experience: Sweet jesus get the bottom of that pool floor cleaned. Also kids were slipping and falling all over the changing room floor. I also fell and damaged my knee, thanks for that ( in a and e now ) staff were polite hense the 2 stars. I would seem that the chemicals have worn the none slip floor away in the changing rooms.

Positive experience: As much as my 2 year likes coming here to swim only been a few times but today floor was slippery in changing room lots of water my little one nearly fell a few times and being pregnant myself found myself trying not to slip over. But swimming pool is okay

Positive experience: I go to swim school and the staff are amazing, everything you would hope for when you have lost your confidence. However, the facilities are grim and in dire need of refurbishment, the pool also needs work there is what appears to be black mould on the grouting of the pool floor. The tiles are slippy too in the changing room, it’s out of date and is in need of improvement.

Positive experience: I’ve only just recently got a membership and I found that it’s great for me personally as it’s close to home and convenient. Staff are nice, friendly, easy to make a rapport with, and they’re very helpful. I’ve managed to persuade my friends and family to join as well. Equipments are great and clean. I haven’t tried the classes yet but they all look enticing. Their booking system is easy to follow and you can find out in weeks advance as to what classes there are to sign up for.

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for years probably a good 12 years or more and I love it here ! I use the gym swimming pool sauna and the classes all the staff are really friendly and it’s a lively place to work out

Negative experience: Couldn’t pay me to come back to this place!!! Changing room floors look like they are never cleaned, clearly over book sessions for the sake of money. No room to swim in the “pool”! Get a better swim from a paddling pool from Argos!!!

Positive experience: It’s decent, for the pool I would only recommend little children probably around 0-12 if you want an enjoyable time, anything over that will get easily bored. The pool has quite a lot of muck in between the tiles, the overall size isn’t as big as you would think, it’s quite small especially with all the people that book the Swim4All session. The showers are terrible, no privacy (mainly as it’s for little children) but the actual pressure of the water in the shower is bad and it gets awfully hot very quick. I haven’t personally tried the gym but have seen and heard good things about it. Since LeasureSK (Council Run), took over it’s become a bit worse than when 1Life ran it. The wave machine hasn’t been operating in so long neither the slide which isn’t open as often as it used to be. I would love to hear something from them regarding their slide and wave machine. I can say the sessions which allow all swimmers have become better than 1Life but overall I did prefer when 1Life (or the other company, I think there was one more) ran it. The overall hygiene of the place is amazing, the team are kind and helpful, the changing rooms are always clean but I loved it more 2-3 years ago.

Positive experience: I like the staff and aqua classes. The gym needs better AC and the pool needs better showers but it's better than most Council owned leisure centres

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with this swimming pool, the changing rooms were very outdated, swimming pool water was disgusting and cold, I'm not sure what chemicals they had put in the water but it made the pool floor very slippery, will not be returning

Positive experience: Facilities are decent enough and clean with lockers available for 20p. The staff we encountered were friendly. The pool felt colder than other indoor pools we've been to which was okay and first but meant an hour into our booked 1hour 45minute session we were ready to get out and get warm . The slide was a huge hit with the kids! Will more than likely return with it being our local pool and would recommend as a decent family pool in the area.

Negative experience: I used to love going swimming here as a child going down the slide and running in and out the sprinklers so I thought I would take my daughter there. After a half hour journey we arrived to friendly staff on reception but after that it was all down hill. The changing rooms were alittle run down but that was fine with us. After getting changed we went to the pool to find out absolutely nothing was working. Sprinklers not coming on, slide not open, baby section roped off, waved machine not working literally just a small section of the pool for us to use. I was really disappointed as I had good memories of the place. It's safe to say we won't be returning.

Negative experience: Awful experience, rang up the day before and asked if we had to prebook was told not to prebook, so just turned up and was spoke to very rudely by the staff, another member of the public made a mistake on her booking and booked for 5 instead of 2 so offered us the spaces which they then refused as they was already over capacity, so had obviously let extra people in already without booking. Very disappointed with the experience and a very upset child

Negative experience: Don’t recommend for young families. My baby loves swimming pools so thought we would try Bourne out. No proper baby changing facility in men’s changing rooms - only one pull down table and it wasn’t in a cubicle. Where does baby go where dad gets changed? Changing rooms in general could do with a freshen up. Changing room and pool side floors were extremely slippery. Grout on the pool floor was 80% black with mould and muck - looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. On a plus note, there were several older children that looked to be having a good time. Unfortunately we won’t be returning until my little one is older and the pool has had a good clean

Positive experience: Visited bourne indoor pool today with my grandson and it was really good, nice and warm in the pool, 1 x slide which was fine, and changing rooms were nice and clean with safe key lockers, wave machine out of action but still being evaluated for repairs, but to be honest people still enjoying the facilities. Definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: My daughter has disabilities and requires a lot of assistance from myself and the experience we had today couldn’t be faulted. We used the disabled changing room which has fantastic equipment, there’s a hoist, pull down changing bed, shower and lockers so you don’t have to go into the main changing room to use the shower and lockers. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and then when it came time to get out, my daughter didn’t want to stand up (I think this was behavioural rather than a physical difficulty, maybe she felt unsteady standing in the water). Without even asking, one of the lifeguards spotted us struggling and came over to ask if we would like to use the wheelchair that can go into the water. He then asked one of his colleagues to fetch it so he could carry on keeping an eye on the swimmers. That staff member came over with the chair, helped me get my daughter into it and then wheeled her through to the changing room for me. After getting ready to leave, I needed to sort something out with my account. The staff member behind the desk was really friendly and helpful too and because my daughter was trying to wander and he could see that I was struggling with her and all the bags, he asked if she’d like a chair to sit on and went to fetch one for her while we sorted out my account. It was so nice to have staff who seemed to genuinely want to help and I was really grateful for the assistance. Much better than our local pool, cleaner and warmer too.

Negative experience: I visited to look around the gym and potentially join over a lunch time a few weeks back. I was told I could return in the evening for a trial and someone would show me how to use the machines. I arrived at 19:30 and no one was there to show me the machines. I was told by a young man that I could use the gym but it would be at my own risk if I got injured. No forms were signed etc, so if I did get injured there could have been a big claim against the leisure centre as no due diligence was completed. As I left the same person didn't ask how it was, all they said was Bye after I said thanks. I didn't join and went to Universal fitness instead. Far more welcoming and professional. I would avoid.

Negative experience: It's not amazing. I have been coming here since I was a little boy. The wave machine was the best part. Unfortunately, the wave machine is no longer in operation. And the place need a revamp.

Fantastic experience: Super good went there for swimming lessons and after a week or two I was able to swim so perfectly I do have to wear earplugs underwater though because I can get a infection I 100% recommend

Positive experience: Good local pool and clean facilities. Been several times with my young daughter, for both Swim4All and Toddler Splash. We often attend Swim4All as Toddler sessions are awkward timings for us, but I do understand why it's only twice a week. The changing rooms are always clean and lockers are available. Staff are always friendly. It's not 5 star as the cubicles are difficult as the seat moves and at a odd difficult angle. The water temperature has dropped since we started coming, only by a couple of degrees I think, but can be a tad cold for my youngest. Also Swim4All has part of the pool cut off (I assume to save on lifeguards) which includes the toddler slide. This is a shame as it would do no harm to those using the lanes if that was accessible.

Positive experience: My son had swimming lessons for 6 months last year, slow progress, lessons hindered by misbehaviour. Good progress was made in the smaller half term class. Ended up leaving as swim instructor was getting irritated at my son's fear of some of the moves, which I could sense from watching.

Negative experience: We rang in the morning to enquire as was our first time going and was made aware of opening times today nothing was mentioned about booking in advance. We drove 25 mins to the leisure centre with 2 excited kids to be told we have no space and had to book. So that was a wasted 50 minute journey and 2 upset kids. Negative experience: It was ok. We went for the toddler splash session with our little one and a) none of the fountains as advertised in the pictures were working and b) probably the most important one, the pool felt quite chilli. I understand they are lowering the temperature to reduce the costs, but they should do it for the adult pool, not the kids one. Our little one got a cold after this. c) the changing rooms don't seem very equipped to deal with a young toddler d) in general the changing rooms lacked of other essential things like: there was no soap in the showers, no spin dry machine for the wet clothes or at least some sort of plastic bag to put our wet stuff in. This was our first time going here.

Fantastic experience: It was a Sunday splash close to Christmas when we visited. So with much festive excitement we approached the desk and by golly I swear to this day it was Jason Statham who booked us in, his badge said David but I wasn't fooled. Slightly star struck we went into the freshly clead changing room where we faced the real test. A 20p locker system from the early 90s...with my coin in place i got nervous and my wrist slipped twisting the key and away my 20p went (attempt 1 failed), with more focus and my last 20p on the line we succeeded. Then the fun began, wow! what a pool, a pleasure dome of joy and excitement all under one roof. With a water mushroom like fountain, water jets that squirt like crazy, and a large warm pool we had a blast, splashing around. The life guard had a sharp eye on everyone and stood on pool side with his baywatch style float ready to safe a life like the Hoff himself so we felt very save. Also if you like a good clock they have a massive one.

Positive experience: We took our youngest grandson for his first taster swimming lesson today. Looked a bit hit and miss instruction wise. I appreciate it cannot be 1 to 1 but how they assess is beyond me. We've signed up for a weekly lesson at £29:50 per month seems a tad expensive for 30 minutes in a class of approx 12. He had approx 3 - 4 minutes interaction with the tutor. Anyway I will update once he has had a few lessons to say whether it is worth the money or not.

Fantastic experience: Had a pool party there and it was fabulous. The staff went over and above to make sure that it all went smoothly. Pool was great, good temperature and had floats, balls etc out. Slide was open for the duration too which was a bonus. All in all a great time. Thank you.

Negative experience: Outdated, broken hairdryers for several years, even after 2 complaint forms nothing was done, showers not working properly, generally small pool. You are allowed only to swim, not to stand and talk. 20p locker not refundable adding to quite expensive entrance.

Negative experience: Took my granddaughters who have come to mine in the holidays. Drove from Spalding. Paid on line, very disappointing as the wave machine was NOT working this was not mentioned whilst booking the swim. NOT FIXED TILL THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS. So don’t promise your children the wave machine will be working.

Fantastic experience: I would like to pass on my thanks and gratitude to Ciara, one of your lifeguards, who stepped up and came to my aid when she witnessed a car accident last week, in which I had to be cut out by the fire service. She jumped into action and stayed with me while the emergency services arrived, making sure I didn’t move, and reassuring me. You plainly train your staff well, but also her willingness to help is truly appreciated. She’s a star ⭐️

Positive experience: Fun time visit today with my two grandsons (6 and 3). Well organised with booking online beforehand and controlling numbers and time limit. 1.5 hours was plenty of time to enjoy the splash time and delighted to see that the slidec2as back in action.

Negative experience: The swimming pool is freezing; all the children had blue lips and were shivering. The pool is in dire need of maintenance - it's grubby and neglected. The changing rooms are filthy and smell terrible, and the showers are cold. Don't take your children swimming here.

Negative experience: Looking to visit the pool for a one off session while visiting family. Have to book online. As a very tech savvy person this took me 25 minutes to do and was stressful. I feel this current system is very inaccessible for older or less able individuals and as a council run leisure centre this is unacceptable.

Positive experience: The locker (21) 20p is refundable, which is fair. But the locker then doesn't work, not had another 1 available so had to bring clothes etc to pool side.

Negative experience: Tried to call 3 times this morning to see if you had to book but no answer the phone seem to be put down or dialled out . drove 45 minutes with the grandchildren .when we arrived we were told the phone was manned and insinuated I never called not helpful. The website dose not state booking only !! We have called many other pools today although we where unable to swim there .some answered the phone others had a answer phone message stating booking only this would of been helpful rather than wasting time and fuel

Negative experience: Travelled to Bourne especially as there is a wave machine and slide. I phoned before booking to check availability and was told there was only a session that started at 18:30. I asked whether the slide and wave machine would be on. I was informed the wave machine was out of action but the foam and slide would be on. The main point of attending this session was for my daughter and her friend to be able to use the slide. 30 mins into the session I asked if the slide was going on, only to be informed it does not get put on in the evenings! 30 mile round trip waste of time. Poor advice given all round. Will not be returning.

Negative experience: The website is terrible!!! Submitted my details atleast 10 times. Won't let you view swimming times unless you sign in but won't let you sign in!!!

Positive experience: Although a good set up with checking bookings on arrival, the cleanliness of the changing rooms was shocking especially as there seemed to be time between our visit and the people before hand. Disappointed to not have the wave machine on too with the family splash time

Fantastic experience: I thought I would amend my review to reflect more fairly how I feel about this gym - originally I had been going elsewhere for wright's and using the pool only. Now I only use this gym and I couldn't be happier. The gym itself is due a bit of an update, they have recently had new air con installed which is a much welcome addition! Within the gym itself everyone is extremely welcoming and it does have a family friendly feel to it. The swimming pool is good and I often enjoy bringing my son to the pool for family splash days.

Positive experience: Clean and efficient service under covid conditions. Kids loved being back in the water. Ashame the slide and wave machine are not open. Not sure why they were not open, surely they can't be using covid as an excuse for that.

Negative experience: Too lazy to answer phone. Ten calls not answered, then phone picked up and put straight down to end call. Ignorant. In response to your reply. No you are incorrect. I was calling you on a day that we were booked to come for swimming. The centre was not closed, a your staff were not furlowed. Five months to reply, indicative.

Negative experience: Its has certainly taken a tumble since we last visited (5+ years ago). The changing rooms were dirty, the showers pretty awful, and they had just been mopped. The pool itself looked dirty too, all of the tiles around the pool look discoloured and in the corners of the pool dirt was gathering (10:45am). This pool has a wave machine, slide and other water features. The wave machine operates around once an hour, for about 2 mins (if that) so a little disappointing. The slide however was as good as it has always been, it stayed open for a good 20 mins, which gave us enough time for 3 slides. Being halfterm i expected the pool to be busy, but it felt too busy. When we left, people were being turned away as there were 108 guests already (overheard). I would have preferred allotted times and half the amount of people. On the plus side there were plenty of lifeguards and they were all attentive. Whilst we were there one of the lifeguards dived in to assist a child, which also triggered a pool evacuation. I felt the staff knew what to do and we were instructed well. Its a shame, as this pool used to be great, we wont be going back.

Negative experience: I struggle a bit seeing a life guard drinking a can of Monster by the pool. Ok, it's only a drink full of sugar but not a message I'd want to project. Just some basic staff training please.

Positive experience: Gym is modern and pool is okay

Negative experience: Just been turned away from taking my two daughters, 7 year old (competent swimmer) and 1 year old, from going to the 'family splash' swim. Apparently this because of a ridiculous policy of 1 adult per child under 8. The duty manager, who looked about 12, came out and said it was because of health and safety leading from an incident. I say, you are punishing all single parents for someone elses stupidity. My eldest daughter left in tears, and the youngest started crying aswell. Thank you for that Bourne leisure centre. You will not be seeing my custom again.

Negative experience: Went for a family splash today and to say I was disappointed was an understatement. Changing rooms were filthy and so wet, clearly hasn’t been cleaned all day. It’s the first time I really didn’t want to touch the floor with bare feet. Then we all went in the pool and the kids experienced 1 go on the slide!!! How lucky they were that at 3.45 the slide opened for 5 minutes so they could have one slide just before they went!!!!!!!!! They experienced a whole 3 minutes of waves at 3.30 and well that was it! What’s happened?! Why in half term on a family session would they not open a slide? Short staff?!!! Who knows. Do not go here! Waste of money

Negative experience: 1hr been driving to that swimming pool with my kids 7 years old an 4 years old , and been told that can't go inside as for one kid need to be one adult hmmm.

Positive experience: Swimming facilities: Very adequate. Changing rooms clean if a bit tatty. several fountains, wave machine, water slide etc loses points for inaccuracy of the timetable on the website Gains them for excellent customer service otherwise.

Negative experience: Terrible policy on a one parent to one child ratio for family swim. Took my children there only to be turned away, it would appear that this leisure centre penalises single parents of more than one child. If you are outnumbered by your kids avoid this place.

Negative experience: I rate it one star because the pool is cold and the whole place is dirty which shows that you are pretty careless of how the presentation is

Negative experience: Drove from Peterborough only to be told that I could not go into the family session with one adult (a new rule), my two children who are 4 and 6. Both of them take swimming lessons and are competent in the water. Had to wait around for 50 mins to get in, no fountains or wave machine on and 1/4 of the pool fenced off. After a short time swimming (and being told off for not being within arms reach af my daughter at all times) we were told we would have to get out to pay for the next session! The pool and changing rooms are in need of a good clean. The only redeemable thing was that the staff were friendly. I won't be going there again.
