Negative experience: I bought a Groupon and it is impossible to find someone to pick up the phone to book the spa day. When I finally got hold of someone, they told me that all weekends were fully booked until May, but that they couldn't book me in May as the slots weren't open yet. Now I am trying to call them and again nobody is picking up the phone. This is not professional. If you launch a promotion, you should be able to make it easy for people to book it. **Update: I managed to get hold of someone today who told me, again, that the may slots were not open and that she was going to call me later today to book me in. However, she hasn't call. Horrible customer service.

Negative experience: The worst gym I’ve ever been to. Limited equipment, only 1 stair master and the showers are absolutely disgusting, infested with drain flies.

Positive experience: On arrival I was told that I was late and the treatment for two would be cut short. I explained at the reception lady what I was told over the phone but she refused to believe what I was told. She definitely had attitude. Then we spent 5 minutes waiting for them to stop whispering and talking about us when we can literally hear them talking about us. Amway the treatment went ahead which was nice except the burning sensation on my skin when they did the facial. The staff at the spa were weird and there was a strange atmosphere and division going through the environment. The spa was ok average nothing fancy. The cleanliness of the spa and the changing rooms was quite gross and not very enjoyable. The ventilation system smelled like feces. Definitely not worth 40pp for the treatment. I just seemed well over rated. Overall 3 stars and an average spa.

Negative experience: Been member for two years and can tell that the membership is absolutely not worth the price. Gym equipment is constantly broken, it’s usually overcrowded and you always have to wait until it becomes available, it’s also quite outdated.

Negative experience: I went just to ask some information and the receptionists were chatting and laughing. I look at them for 3 minutes then I decide to don’t waste my time and I left. Never went back. Did not like the energy. Unprofessional staff.

Negative experience: Purchased a spa experience via Groupon which cost £49 for 2 people. The reception area is nice & looks reasonable, there was a class going on next door which made the 'quiet' area loud. The receptionist was friendly & helpful. Changing room areas are in desperate need of a clean & some repairs. I noticed a few small flies when I was in the shower area, some were squished onto the walls which was quite disgusting. The actual spa area is small & again very dirty and in need of a good clean. It was a womens only session, which was nice but the spa was still overcrowded. Footspas are dirty, with black mold around the drain fittings. Heated beds were nice but the area around them was filthy, I counted 30+ small flies in this area, plus everything is dusty and dirty. Jacuzzi water was so murky and gross. There was 6+ people using it at one time, and all the seat fittings around it are broken. Sauna & steam rooms also had multiple people in them - which is fine, but the spa area is so small that it just feels overcrowded and NOT relaxing in the slightest. Honestly, it was a terrible experience & left my skin feeling itchy. We spent a total of 52 minutes in this spa - which included check in, getting into swimwear, checking out the spa, getting changed back into clothes & leaving. We declined to have a complimentary hot drink and declined to have the massage service because the place is just gross. I wasn't expecting the best quality spa considering it was a Groupon offer & it is located in Barkingside, but this was more of a horror experience than a spa experience.

Negative experience: If possible should have given negative. For the staff sitting at reception. So non cooperative. They people charged the money and did not let the person enter because they did not updated the person's name. On saying it's their fault they say apologize but we can't do anything they are the worst reception people. Trust me worst than worst specially weekday evening staff. It's my hard earned money what the hell!!! And on emails no response literally no response. For adults who are 6 ft they have kids pool like seriously. Why do they charge money if they don't have large pool for adults. And they won't even tell before and don't update later. I have wasted 2 months of money as they won't discontinue up to 2 months.

Positive experience: Mixed bag, some wonderful helpful staff are in the minority of a rude surly indifferent bunch. Don’t think there is much money to go round as there are continually issues in the spa at least and it is looking very tired in the changing rooms. Gym is pretty good it has to be said and the off peak times I have used it have been pretty good as regards staff and equipment (shout out to the wonderful Sam!) had to cancel membership as I am moving on from the area but would have done so if that hadn’t been the case.

Negative experience: My child went in there to free with her friends,they asked if they could all swim as they where out with an adult they are all over the age of 13 so I thought this was fine . They all can swim however my daughter has a medical condition thats makes her quite tired. They made them do a 25m swim test so they went to go do it when they were sent to another life guard the life guard was very annoyed and swore at the kids they then did it my daughter stopped near the end as she was tired and then they soad she was no longer allowed in the pool her and 1 other friend had to go else where while her friends stayed to swim there where no refunds but they where made aware will not be retuning .

Fantastic experience: Customer service is not good at all there , I had a bad experience a week before but I came back because was no other option for a gym close to my house , customer service is very poor , I work in customer service and if customer service is good you attract more customers to come in but Esha , because of her I give 5 stars, she is very very professional, she also have sense of humour , cute and polite , you should hire more people like her, people excited to work like her ! Negative experience: Spa receptionists have real issues with answering the phone to the point I called various times on numerous days eventually having to make my way to the place. It’s annoying. I stood at the spa reception and called the spa and watched as the man didn’t answer and he wasn’t exactly that busy, he was sorting towels which he could have stopped. It was on a low call volume not sure why, phone should be ringing loud so you can actually hear it, I did ask JOSEPH I think the name was, why calls don’t get answered and he said it’s due to being busy. But really, everyday and all throughout the day ??? Come on. I have an appointment that needs rearranging as it’s coming up this Saturday and I refuse to travel 40 mins just because I can’t get through on the phone to re arrange this day .

Negative experience: tracy told me The membership is cancelled so she charged me extra and carried on charging me for an extra four months now I confronted her about it and she’s denying everything saying she would never say that. Yes she did. She just scared to get fired. This is awful service. I do not recommend this place is horrible.

Negative experience: If I could 0 stars I would, they cancelled my membership and charged me for 4 extra months, literally robbing £140 off my account this is unacceptable and Scarlett is avoiding talking to me about it as they don’t wanna refund my money which is inexcusable!! Negative experience: Horrible service. I had swimming lessons for my 2 kids and they didnt let us in because i wanted to go in a changing room with my son but they did not let me and said that my son has to go by himselfthen they promised a refund and then they said no. Very disrespectful so called "manager". Also the reception lady (short blondish hair with glasses) was also disgustingly rude. It was a waste of time and i do not reccomend.

The seam and sauna were very clean and the jacuzzi was fab.the experience showers were good once we worked out how to use them .the therapists for our massage and facial were lovely and very attentive had a great massage and facial.would highly recommend for a local spa experience.

Negative experience: My Ultimate Spa massage for two experience was not great. I treated my sister to this as part of a belated birthday gift. During the massage our feet were left uncovered, neither masseuse engaged with us, we weren't told what oils were being used and my sister said that her masseuse used hardly any pressure on her during the massage.

Positive experience: Swimming pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi all good. Gym very basic, friendly staff. Parking can be a problem, I got a ticket in the car park. I had forgotten to punch in my number plate one time out of the many months I had been attending on a daily basis. I did contest it saying I’m a member of the Leisure Centre, however they still fined me. So I cancelled my membership.

Negative experience: Very bad experience due to inefficient and arogant receptionist. I went to enquire about gym and after waiting for longtime in queue I just asked whether gym facility is available here or its not running but the lady just replied wait for your turn. She was busy in doing the new registration at a very slow speed and she expects that after 20 mins when my turn comes n if she says no.. gym not running.then i shall say thanks and leave. People shall be kind and efficient in job.wasting 10 mins of 10 people means wasting 100 person mins.

Negative experience: Arrived at 12pm today with my 7yr old son! He was really looking forward to a swim with dad.....169 bus from ilford...but when we arrived, we were advised it's cash only!! I took my last £20 out before I walked in the leisure centre.... only to be told they don't accept cash!! Only card payments! Its Sunday.... can't put it back it to pay via card.... very disappointed 7yr old....and the staff member was just awful.... never going back...

Negative experience: Today, 26.05, we were with my family to enroll my 2-year-old son in swimming. the woman at the front desk called Grace was extremely rude and I don't think she is fit for this job! Take action, because he apparently served us with great RELUCTANCE!

Negative experience: I m going to the gym and sometimes to the pool. Some young guys that are working there are very rude, just they don’t care about clients. Some young girls from reception are chewing gum, and are not saying even hello or goodbye to the people that are coming and going out from building. The hygiene and cleaning it’s actually very bad. I don’t know their name, otherwise I was writing in here. Guys if you don’t like your work just don’t do it, stay at home, maybe someone else can do it better. The price monthly it’s actually higher compared to other places, but what you offer for that !? Schedule as well, till 9:30 pm, why you don’t give at list opportunity to people till 10:30 pm or 11:00. Some people are working till 8:00 pm, there is not really time to arrive in time for gym or swimming. Then people are paying for what!? At list be more polite with your clients around.

They then said "if it was just you"... so unsure why they are selling packages for 2 people... Negative experience: On 5 April 2024, at 2.10pm we had a very bad experience, discrimination, Lack of communication by staff members and management, I have a question for all, does anyone in this country have a partner or another member of family? It’s a crime to be a single mother? If it’s not allowed one parent with 3 children use a pool! Why they allowed me to pay for that? I have provided that more family was in a children pool with more than one child. If you a member of staff in Fullwell cross centre remember I cried because of the bad inside or experience… I hope no matter how hard you work if you disrespect or discriminate anyone your job will be 0 point.

Negative experience: The Gym is good due to the over due upgrade. But the spa has had constant problems for years. Just close it for a refurb and then open it. Instead its been on and off reduced service and still expect to pay £60pm

Positive experience: There is an ongoing issue in the spa facility which is resulting in extremely overcrowded sauna, steam rooms and jacuzzi. The smell in the changing rooms is quite unpleasant and a good scrub with bleach looks like it is needed. I do hope the repairs are done urgently as it is not the relaxing enjoying experience you are needing when you come here.

Positive experience: I've been going to Fulwell Leisure Centre for a few months now and I have mixed feelings about it. The gym is okay for cardio, but it's very cramped and crowded at peak hours. Few of the machines are broken and there's not enough space for weight lifting. I wish they would expand the gym or fix the equipment. The swimming pool is decent, though. It's clean and well-maintained, and it's usually not too busy. If you're looking for a place to swim, this might be a good option. But if you're into lifting weights or working out in a spacious environment, you might want to look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I visited Fullwell Cross' Spa as a treat for My Mum's 70th birthday celebration on 29th October. The experience was great, the full body massages my Mum, Sister and I received from Chloe and Claudia were fantastic! The facial was also very relaxing and we cannot recommend the above two enough! We had a great day of pampering, so thank you so much. I will visit again in future!

Negative experience: Had the worst expierence at the spa. Prior to booking a deal on groupon got told I could book the massage option. On the day of the the appointment got called a couple hours before to be told the therapist was not in due to illness. Made another appointment for the massage and spa two weeks from the original date bearing in mind childcare had already been organised and my friend had travelled from an hour away to get there. The day of the appointment arrived, we both got there on time only to be told we could not have our massage because a note had not been left on the system. The rude receptionist proceeded to blame us in there not being a note on HER system. There was no apology or any reconciliation of the situation. We were made to feel like idiots and were constantly told to have a facial when I had explained this was not possible because I DIDNT BOOK IT and I have SENSITIVE SKIN. The customer service was the worst I’ve ever expierenced, leaving me more stressed than relaxed for a so called relaxing spa expierence. PLEASE DO NOT GO, save yourself time, money and take care of your mental well-being because they certainly will not. Shocked this place is still open to interact with the public. They call themselves ‘professionals’ but I cannot be confident in this statement. Appalling.

Negative experience: The most annoying place to deal with. Never answer their calls ever. You can’t tell me you are short staffed everyday for the last three years. Staff are not trained well either and come across miserable. They have no enthusiasm for help merely there to show face to get paid. I am beyond annoyed how fast they are willing to take your money but not provide the service you signed up for. Lord help if there is a problem with what you signed up for because you are referred to so many different departments and each department saying it’s the other department’s responsibility to solve the issue and essentially sending me in circles. • Fix up •

Negative experience: Visited a number of times over the summer holidays with children all of which were bad experiences extremely unfriendly and arrogant staff all round, dirty water made to leave even after paying full session even charged as spectators this place does not have the people it needs to run a structure for activies such as swimming. Very poor knowledgeable staffwho feel they own the people who visit. No more visits from myself or family, 1 star was too good

Negative experience: Pending review YOU WILL BE FINED. As a member of leisure centre, you have "privilege" to park at the centre's car park for free as long as you tipe your car's number plate into device that is stored in reception. After just a few visits I have receive a £100 penalty notice from Euro Car Parks. As I'm fairly new in this centre, and used it just a few times, I remember every time registering my car into the system. After receiving penalty notice, I went to Full Well leisure centre for assistance in case they keep registration data or at least check their CCTV to see if I made an attempt to register. The manager I was talking to suddenly became "very busy" to spend 20 min of his time with the client checking CCTV - what a "great" customer service! And of course leisure centre has "nothing to do" with Euro Car Parks even if they provide "free" parking for their customers. So be prepared to pay extra

Negative experience: Dysfunctional staff, don't be surprised if receptionist tells you swimming pool is open till X pm and once you pay and get in you find it closed. Also plenty of dumb rules in swimming pool. Disgusting place. Better it would not exist at all.

Negative experience: My daughter have been swimming with them once a week and at some point they changed the system to direct debit which I set up. In May 2023 payment has failed due to insufficient funds. Couple days later I went to the reception with my card to offer to pay what I owe but the lady refused to take payment on the basis that she’s not dealing with payments but she herself set me the direct debit previously. I insisted as I was with my daughter and she was supposed to go swimming at that time but now she said that the manager of her swimming group expelled her from the group so she is not allowed to get back in. I asked why as I’m here to pay . I asked is there no more spaces ? She said is the managers decision and she was yelling at me saying I do not understand what she’s saying but I didn’t get an explanation as to why she can’t take the payment and why my daughter can’t swim anymore. Was their decision to not take my payment and also their decision not to let my daughter continue with her classes. One month later they took payment from my card, then in July again they tried to take payment. End of may they called me to ask me to pay for two months which I do not owe and two late fees of £15 after repeatedly explaining to the lady over the phone that was their decision not mine therefore you can’t ask me for a service that they themselves refused to continue to offer my daughter. The lady at the reception indeed takes payment is part of her job but instead she refused and has been very rude to me and caused me a panic attack and my daughter a lot of stress and sadness. The lady on the phone insisted I go pay and I told her I’m not gonna pay for swimming classes that my daughter doesn’t get because it was their choice not mine. She was also very rude and she showed no empathy or sense of understanding saying “the receptionist wouldn’t be rude to you if she didn’t have a reason to” . They are covering for one another just to keep taking money from me. Is like you’re going to a salon to ask for a haircut , they refuse you the service but still ask you to pay. They are rude and unprofessional unethical and very all over the place. They are not disciplined and many other people that have dealt with them relate to what I’m saying. They have no customer service skills and they treat everyone like idiots. Worst experience ever to this day they still trying to take my money I had to reported them to the bank to get one payment back. Shameful on their side taking money for a service they don’t offer me.

Negative experience: the most horrible service I have ever seen I called them before I went to book and they said we have an option for booking but come at 11:30, when I go there not now they said it's full and I with 2 small children were left to wait for hours until the children got tired and we left there. the employees did not give me a schedule of when it would be our turn to enter the swimming pool I do not recommend it

Fantastic experience: I was refered to this gym via the exercise referral system by my doctor after a knee injury. After two sessions I must say the staff are very friendly and professional always looking after their clients. Reminded me each time to log my vehicle number plate so I don't get charged for parking. The gym is very clean and everyone is following very precisely the health and safety standards with a great level of sanitisation. Ii highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: Considering membership to the leisure centre is £47 per month, the changing rooms, showers and toilets are abysmal. I used to come swimming here in the early 90's and besides the addition of new lockers, not a thing has changed. There is mould and ingrained dirt everywhere. The council should be ashamed given that this is one of only a handful of public swimming pools locally. I am surprised that there are not more comments regarding the cleanliness of the facilities, especially as so many children have lessons there and that local schools take the children in to the changing rooms. The membership is not cheap at all compared to other gyms (the gym instructors do their best and I remain a member partly due to them) and I cannot understand why Redbridge has not invested much more into such an important facility for the community. I recently visited a Leisure Centre in Chelmsford and the facilities, cleanliness and upkeeping of the leisure centre in comparison was worlds apart. Shame on Redbridge for not providing similar services to the people of their Borough.

Negative experience: Swimming pool very low, dangerous to enter pool with infant if done the way taught in lessons (infant lying on side and then get in). Changing rooms consistently smells like urine all 3 times i have visited. Water logged changing room. No facility to put baby down whilst changing except for a nappy changing stand in one room. Lockers are pound system FYI. I have gone 3 times during family time and public time. The shallow end of the ool has a cut off section from the lane swimmers. Always filled with men that can't swim and use the pool as a social hot tub sort of relax way. The area segregated needs to be bigger to accommodate the large numbers of people doing that.

Negative experience: I have no option to give 0 stars appalling and disgusting front reception staff no manners at all how to treat customers please teach your staff how to talk and help with the needs of customers rather than they feel like they own the place .

Negative experience: The review is for their kids swimming classes. They are not adequately skilled to teach kids with different skill levels. Rather than trying to teach techniques to stay afloat they are prescribing the kids for 1-2-1 lessons after few classes. Not a good learning environment for children's confidence.

Negative experience: Rude receptionist lady - with the short hair. After me and my partner exit the massage room, I wanted to use the leisure center toilet. The lady didn’t want to open the door for me, as she told me that it was ‘strange that I use the massage on mens only hours’. Very unprofessional and rude.

Negative experience: I've been coming here for a couple months now, I mainly use the spa. The condition the spa is kept in is horrible. The floors are grimy and dirty and the staff are unbotherd to clean it regularly throughout the day. Most of the time the steam rooms or the jacuzzi would not be working and many of the lockers don't even have keys on them. The spa condition is more like a high school boys changing room rather than a clean and luxurious place to relax and they seem to make no improvements when complaints are made!!!

Positive experience: Great gym love going there, been going every single day since 2019 and have loved every bit of it. Helped me get rock hard abs and also improved my mental health drastically. However, i would love an assisted pull up machine in the gym as it could help a lot with people who would like to learn how to do pull ups, have a cousin who i took with me once and he really wanted to learn pull ups and i feel like this could help him a lot. He would have gotten a membership and gone every day just like me but the fact that you dont have assisted pull up machine really dampened the mood in his heart and crushed his motivation. All in all it is a wonderful gym but assisted pull up machine is needed and is a must in all gyms.

Fantastic experience: Good pool, but could do with a little top up. Around 5cm would be good I think. I'm finding if standing and chatting in the pool my shoulders and 5cm down get cold. Ph is perfect however. As is the pool side bar. After a cocktail? Try the 'fullwell monty' - gin with egg white.

Negative experience: The spa here is really gross. Had a brief visit and was left disgusted quite frankly. The showers are grim and the changing room floors were completely covered in water and clumps of women's hair. And to top it all off the place is covered in mould. Would not ever come back and I do not recommend visiting.

Positive experience: Very small gym with some old equipment. It's OK if you go during off peak hours but it can be so busy at times that you don't get to use the machines you want to.

Negative experience: Wish I could give them 0. I bought a spa treatment voucher on Groupon. I have tried to calling them to book my appointment for several days now but yet No1 ever answers the phone. Doesn't matter what option you pick it will never get answered. Bloody thieves. I will be coming to collect my money back in person

Positive experience: I've been coming here since I was a kid. It's local and a good size pool. The staff are always helpful and nice. The down sides are the gym is not the biggest and the spa is so expensive I'd never pay for a day pass to try it. The women's locker rooms are always grubby. I've seen black mould everywhere and some women like to leave their used sanitary products on the changing rooms which is disgusting. It's cheap and cheerful and a great part of the barkingside community. Just the cleanliness could improve.

Negative experience: No one answers from the swimming - lessons been cancelled three times in a row now but i got a payment alert - when i email and call no one gets responds. No one answers in reception - goes straight to voicemail. When i did get through i was told someone from swimming will call me back but that did not happen. It is atrocious service

Positive experience: Very large place. Swim looked very clean. I visited the gym which was well equipped with some equipment- some was faulty and needed replacing but overall I was satisfied.
