Positive experience: Juccuzzi wasn't working stale water left in not good at all
Negative experience: The gym is expensive and it doesn't have enough equipment, you go for training and you end up waiting for ages! They were supposed to get more equipment but it didn't happen. I raised issue with manager, got no response (how ignorant!)
Negative experience: An awful gym, so much to complain at, that I won't even start... Avoid it! Waisted money and nerves, after three years of hoping to finally change into better I've switched to different one
Negative experience: informed Nuffield constantly at desk and by email about concerns with gym, never even had the courtesy to reply. 2 bikes were out of commision for months, reaction was remove from gym without replacing. There are numerous machines no one uses as waste of space. It is starting to look like there is a fire sale going on as equipment is being removed causing frustration getting on various apparatus. I do not go at peak as off peak can be challenging enough to complete ones session. I will leave as soon as contract expires unless improves. They have even had the audacity to raise membership for a diminishing service. Do not recommend. Oh and Nuffield do not bother posting some insincere apology for the poor service because if you meant it something would be done about it.
Negative experience: Poor maintenance around the facility, not enough equipments, often the pool is closed due to "maintenance issues" which are more due to poorly maintained chlorine levels, old sauna and too crowded on pick times. The gym space is small and often machines are broken, removed the most popular and used once to put others which are rarely used. Don't listen to what customers needs and want as equipment, looking to cut the cost and maximise the profit from members.
Positive experience: It's the only gym in the area with a pool, staff are all nice, the gym equipment is old and no aircon
Fantastic experience: Brilliant place that offers amazing value for money. Clean and quiet environment, knowledgeable instructors and super helpful staff. Not a single fault to be found!
Negative experience: Cancelled my membership after a year. Limited choice of classes, classes cancelled on several occasions while waiting outside the studio to go in, pool regularly closed. Management showed no interest in why I was ending my membership. Not worth the expensive monthly fee.

Negative experience: If I’d read these reviews I’d never have joined. Expected better facilities, cleanliness, maintenance etc, considering it’s supposed to be more exclusive and is more expensive than other gyms which include pools. I’ve previously been member of places which have pools and never have they been shut! Membership contracts are usually flexible, ie can give notice of cancellation anytime. Disappointed with response from customer relations to my raising issues. Unfortunately I have to wait months until I can leave!!

Fantastic experience: Just done yoga and tai chi classes with Gemma and Sue Pyle, the yoga was lovely both classes very relaxing and the tai chi class was absolutely perfect, wish there more tai chi classes!

Negative experience: Time to cancel your membership, if the overall conditions were not enough, or them blocking members from sharing feedback on Facebook, or the jacuzzi always being off now they are allowing children into the gym. This is not the luxurious club you'll find in other areas. There is no feedback accepted from members, there is no consideration given to the fact that some people want to enjoy an adults only facility. No longer worth the premium price for an inferior experience. May as well go to the cheaper gyms because this one does not care about its members.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Repeated attempts to try and resolve an issue. Been ongoing for 6 months.. repeated non returned calls, false promises and lies.. a lot of the equipment at the gym is old or not operational.. very poor customer experience..
Negative experience: Nice staff. Jacuzzi which is one or the main reasons I go is out of action more often than not. No one seems to care get fobbed off when you ask. Always hearing members complaining that no one does anything. Shame as could be a good gym. Heard a new facility opening up in the area. Can’t be any worse .

Positive experience: I've used a few Nuffields across the country, travelling for work, I would say this is one of the poorer ones. The equipment is showing its age and not as up to date as others I've seen. It's also quite small so peak times after work it's hard to get on anything, also the variation of machines is quite lacking. For your money you'd be best off joining elsewhere.

Negative experience: Lack of a decent range of free weight and assisted machines. Equipment is outdated and when broken takes weeks to be repaired. Cable machines being moved to other Nuffield gym sites and replacements not ordered due to out of stock from suppliers. Out of 13 treadmills in January, 6 have been broken all month with no signs of repairs scheduled. Whole place is in need of new management and bigger investment from the Nuffield Group. Do yourself a favour and take your money elsewhere.

Negative experience: I would like to warn all customers and make them aware about the practices Nuffield Health. When they changing membership price, they sending an email 1st of the month that the price will change from 1st of the next month. If you are unable to pay more you have to send an email with your notice exactly 1st this means in the same day. If you are late for example you send an email 2nd(next day), your notice will be processed but for full calendar month ( from 2nd to 2nd). Obviously they already charged you 1st for the current month, so now you have to pay for your notice next month higher price ( they will change you 1st next month) , which you refused to pay. If you cancel direct debit (which I did as my budget is limited) they will cancel your membership immediately, so you are unable to go to the gym or other facilities even though you paid for the full month. Very clever! Congratulations!

Negative experience: Today MY friend visited for the 5 time on a hussle pass and was refused entry because he didn't have photo id because he can't drive due to health reasons and choose not to go abroad. To me this is discrimination again him he has said in the passed that the facilities are dated and old but it help him relax. Thank you to the young lad who looked after him sadly the manager couldn't give a stuff and just ignore him with out even trying to help.

Negative experience: Poorly run, and most things are out of order. The pool has been closed more than it’s been open this last year! The water fountain upstairs on the gym floor has been out of order for months. The gym equipment is outdated and needs updating. Only one squat rack which in this day an age is appalling! The sauna is broken and the steam room is out of use still! The social media account is ran by children and is unprofessional for what the Gym should be aspiring to. Everything about this place is does not shout out as a top health and wellbeing Gym! Save your money and go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Facilities in this venue are not matching the price for the membership. Most of them are constantly out of order and my biggest concern is very poor level of hygiene. For example showers - the shower heads are blocked by limescale, you will be lucky to find one cubicle where you not afraid to walk in. One of the worst gyms in Yorkshire.
Negative experience: Nuffield Doncaster is in a poor state of repair...check out the photos. Air conditioning is often not switched on so gym floor is very unpleasant to train due to humidity. Often the studio has to have fire exits open for fresh air. The roof over the pool has recently partly collapsed, sending plaster into the water, leaving the pool, sauna, and steam area closed for weeks. Photos show the poor state of the gym which used to be the premium gym in Doncaster. It appears not to have been correctly invested in for a longtime leaving this gym far behind and the photos show it. JD gym as a comparison is half the price but is significantly better maintained and has everything minus a pool/steam The carpark at Nuffield is big but used wrongly by surrounding business whos staff park up and walk out, parking their cars all day. This leaves little space during busier times. Once my contract is up I'll be moving gyms...So very sad to see the demise of this once superb gym/health facility.

Negative experience: Bait and switch scam running, avoid. Been with them a few months showers and pool out of order constantly. Tried to speak to them and they ignore emails. Trying to force me to pay for a year despite this being against uk consumer law, they are unable to provide the service we contracted on but still want me to pay for it. Avoid.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting service. Made a complaint. Asked for their senior. No one contacted me. Still waiting a response but they still want my money. Absolute mockery. Avoid. Also commented on their Instagram and they blocked me so other non assuming members can’t see how bad they treat people
Negative experience: Review: Nuffield Health Doncaster Fitness & Wellbeing Centre Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ I had high hopes for Nuffield Health Doncaster Fitness & Wellbeing Centre, but unfortunately, my experience was a bit disappointing, leading me to a two-star rating. While the centre has some redeeming qualities, it fell short in several areas. To begin with, the ongoing issue with the pool is quite bothersome. An out-of-order swimming pool for an extended period seems contrary to the premium experience this health centre aims to offer. In addition, the lack of a corresponding refund or compensation for this inconvenience feels somewhat unjust. The gym itself is pretty standard, with nothing extraordinary to make it stand out from countless other facilities. The lack of air conditioning or sufficient cooling measures became quite an impediment to a comfortable workout, which is a critical aspect of a gym experience. Cancelling a membership proved to be another frustrating ordeal. I understand gyms have their processes, but making it less arduous for customers to opt-out will not only reduce frustration but might also enhance their reputation. In conclusion, while joining a gym seems like an ideal step towards a healthier lifestyle, this centre did not meet my expectations. The convenience of at-home workouts with personal equipment could prove to be a more cost-effective and comfortable alternative for many.

Negative experience: I want to let everyone know about the bad service currently being given by Nuffield health/gym, Doncaster. Members are currently paying £46 per month (off peak prices). As a member, I only use the club to access the swimming pool. During the past month or more, I believe that the swimming pool has been unavailable more times than it’s been available. When the swimming pool has been in use, the boilers haven’t been working, which means that you can’t have a hot shower. I, for one, can’t use cold showers - I can’t get my breath in a cold shower. And yet despite this, we are still expected to pay our £46 membership fee. Despite the lack of service, there has never been any mention of refunds to members. I realise that maintenance issues can’t be helped however, members are paying for a service which they are not receiving. Disgraceful. I’m complaining to the management so, I’ll await the outcome but, not at all good customer service. Update 7th July 2023 Despite being told by Clare, the Manager, two weeks ago, to await an outcome following my complaint about lack of swimming facilities and my request for a refund, I haven’t had a response. Not at all good customer service! I’ve now cancelled my subscription but, I’ve still had to pay my fee to give a month’s notice, despite the fact that, come 17th July, the swimming pool will be out of action again and I can’t use the facility that I’m paying for. Disgraceful!! I have now been told that there won’t be any recompense for the swimming pool facilities being unavailable because there are other facilities available. This is despite the fact that I don’t use any other facilities. I don’t recommend people join Nuffield gym at Doncaster. At least with DCLT, if one swimming pool is out of action, there are always others at other locations.

Negative experience: Staff lockdown Facebook so that people can't comment when there are issues. They are not transparent about issues that seem to arise regularly. This is an expensive club and yet they see fit to treat customers like we don't deserve any information. No jacuzzi for months, facilities broken for months, pool is cold. Lastly, offers to join are not limited, it's an advertisement ploy, there is a constant joining offer and it's still not worth it.

Fantastic experience: Great place for tutor led lessons in yoga, body balance, barrfit, mindfull meditation, pilates, step aerobics and many other gym classes. Great pool for swimming lessons, aqua aerobics, chacousi, steam room, sauna, lockers and changing rooms, with showers, hairdryers, towel spinner and toilets. Fully fitted gym for all abilities. Lot's of additional treatments for wellness available at an addition cost...fully supported across the facilities by trained staff, tutors, physio service, fully trained first responders for medical issues or injuries. First class front desk for all your needs, questions, enquiries etc. A lovely cafe and brilliant staff who make you feel welcome and a place to chat over food and drink with your gym friends and colleagues. Great place to meet new people who are like minded with wellbeing, exercise and enjoying group activities or just you time...come and ask for a taster session...they have times where you can have a pass for a few sessions to see if you want to join Nuffield. I love this place as I have met lots of people who are fantastic, supportive, inclusive and also a safe place to be...my overall wellbeing since joining 18 months ago is unbelievably transformational. Lost 3 stone, in better physical shape, mentally stronger and more resilient in life...try Nuffield to see where an opportunity can take you on your journey. Fantastic experience: Is it possible buy single ticket for sauna? And if yes how much does it cost?
Positive experience: The key win for this gym for me is having a pool, whilst it's only 20m normally there is about the right amount of people to allow a good swim. Would be 5 out of 5 if there was quite so many bit of kit out of order, though good that the swim kit driver is working again

Positive experience: Nice place with a very friendly staff . The cleanliness in the pool, changing rooms area is not its strong point. Guys who are using dry sauna should get some brief that it’s not a place where you can sit on the top shelf with sliders on leaving all the dirt on the first shelf for someone to sit on it.
Fantastic experience: Large gym with good sized pool. Sauna, steam room and zacuzzi. Good value for money if you go regularly. Nice friendly atmosphere.

Positive experience: Leg extension machine out of action since the beginning of December?? Pleased to see the light bulbs have been replaced. Wish I could same the same for the beds.
Fantastic experience: Overall great gym, a little small but it’s still does the job. The whole changing room and swimming pool area/set up is one of the best I have ever experienced.

Negative experience: The pool is very, very cold! It's most unpleasant and even colder than on Sunday and if its not sorted soon I'll be cancelling my membership.
Positive experience: Quite good but the music is way too loud. I can still hear it through my own headphones and it's always the worst music imaginable.

Fantastic experience: Like that place
Fantastic experience: Great location for the gym as in an easy to find spot plus good amount of parking. Entrance to the gym is nice and spacious with reception on the right with some drink machines and then to the left the cafe. Both changing rooms are downstairs on the same floor as the swimming pool. Mens changing room is clean and tidy with card operated lockers making it easy. The lockers are a good size to for getting everything in, towels are charge at a pound or you can add an amount to your membership and get one ever visit. The swimming pool has four lanes and good sizing so a few people can swim. There’s a hot tub, sauna and steam room with a shower in between and loungers. The gym itself is upstairs and laid out in a good way so you can get a good workout without going all over the gym for a specific machine. There’s a free weights area, machine weights area, cardio/boxing area with two punch bags, cardio machines and a small stretching area. They do have studio rooms but didn’t get to look. Showers are standard with body wash nothing special. Very good gym and wasn’t overly crowded either.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Physiotherapy care. I was asked to have physiotherapy care following surgery in November. Having seem a couple of physiotherapists over the years without much benefit, I was slightly doubtful as to how effective this would be. I was badly mistaken. My physiotherapist, Ryan Cross made it clear from the start that we could get results that would bring me back 'up to speed'. He was professional and made it very clear I was given his individual attention. His evidence based approach was tailored to my needs resulting in a full programme of recovery. I cannot recommend the Nuffield Health Physiotherapy team enough, especially the care and attention of Mr. Cross. I count myself very lucky to have benefited from his care and that of the Nuffield Health Centre. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I went just the once as I was traveling for work and wanted to swim. But the pool was very nice, the sauna, steam room and hot tub were also excellent. The staff were lovely and I also enjoyed the cafe where the food was great and reasonably priced.
Negative experience: The swimming pool, changing rooms and showers are contagious with verruca warts.
Positive experience: The usual staff members are incredible. Friendly and welcoming.

Negative experience: Aircon is still broken -do not go here until winter!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym and spa area. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I especially love the beauty suite they do great treatments and nothing is ever too much trouble! Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Negative experience: The pool area of Nuffield is quite good but the main gym area is very small and all the machines are too close together. And it's extortion.
