Negative experience: Quite a bad experience. The showers are usually dirty. The shower head is not adjustable, the water comes out in all the directions and there's no space inside the shower where the water doesn't touch you. That's a problem cause the water temperature is not adjustable and it always starts out cold and even after it starts warming up it's lukewarm. Sometimes there's no shower gel and you can't see without trying it out

Positive experience: Good equipment and availability, showers were reasonably clean but were cold for the first five minutes and took a long time to warm up. Even then they were only warm not hot.

Negative experience: I have been to this gym several times and I can't believe how much of a poor condition it's in especially due to the location....... Literal mould on the ceiling above where you are working out.....no wifi and the whole place just looks gloomy..... I'm not sure if they have a cleaner but the place is absolutely filthy and needs a complete refurbishment.

Negative experience: The gym has all the essentials but I joined this gym at least 5 months ago and there has never been consistently good air con. In the last month, the gym has had portable air cons and the gym is unbearably hot. I really hope they sort out the air conditioning soon as it takes away from the experience and nice atmosphere.

Positive experience: Took a while to try this due to the perceived low rating, having already been to the Aldgate and Monument PureGyms. Deserves to be rounded up to 4/5 for what you pay. Pros: Very clean, spacious, even has non-motorised treadmill Cons: Weak wifi signal

Positive experience: Best Pure gym I've been to. They have towels! Just don't get greedy...take one! It's spacious and the staff are friendly. The lift is slow on request, you're better off taking the stairs to go in and out (you want to exercise, right?)

Negative experience: Cold showers it used to be a great gym for central - lots of classes, good equipment and towels provided, but now they’ve turned the shower temperature down so you can’t have a hot shower before work.

Negative experience: I'm incredibly disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service at PureGym. After signing up and paying a joining fee, I faced a two-month delay before being informed that my membership couldn't proceed due to an error claiming I joined via a discounted program for NHS workers, which I'm not a part of. They requested repayment through the NHS discount portal without issuing an apology or acknowledging their mistake. Despite extensive face-to-face discussions and numerous emails, the issue remains unresolved. Additionally, encountering aggressive behaviour from the staff further soured my experience.

Negative experience: I don’t usually leave feedback on sites but…. Ever month there is all ways some thing that dosnt work or broken. Shower hot water has been broken for some time, at first there was no updates sent to any one saying it’s broken or access to other gyms - with a gym in London ever one going to use the showers to then go back to work, so this is key for a gym in London. I haven’t used the gym for the last two weeks because of the shower issues. I wish the facilities management company will take this more seriously, as there is allways a super long time in getting things fixed.

Negative experience: After a few days, I cancelled my membership since I had to move unexpectedly and the gym was no longer an option for me. I sent an email to them requesting a refund because I never once used any of the facilities. I received no response from them. Not even a polite answer.

Negative experience: I think whoever manages this gym needs a lecture in communication. The gym had no hot water today and no effort was made to communicate the problem to gym users. People went to the bathrooms to shower and almost froze because of how cold the water was. An email was only sent by circa 5pm to inform people of the problem. Shameful does not do justice to the quality of service. Fix up ASAP!

Fantastic experience: Tidy gym floor. Plenty of lockers. Recommend going outside of peak hours if you can but if not still better than any other gym chain in London that I have belonged to for peak time visits.

Positive experience: They seriously need to update the WiFi in here. For an underground site where you cannot use mobile data to stay connected and stream your music it's vital to have high quality WiFi. The network in here is useless as soon as the place is even at a quarter of its capacity, a system that wouldn't even have been considered adequate 15 years ago. Put in a proper gigabit FTTP connection and new access points please.

Fantastic experience: Goof gym but very busy on certain hours. Grat managers and personal trainer whit a long time experience. You have all what you need in one place, Studio, spin studio, Fw area, cardio area, stretch area, calisthenics area, and free towel to take the shower.

Negative experience: Cancelling my membership today. I’ve complained numerous times to staff about air conditioning and it falls on deaf ears as do these other reviews. I have asthma and this is not a safe environment for me to train in. I shouldn’t be sweating after a cold shower once I’ve finished a session in the changing rooms. This gym is not safe for anyone with any mild-moderate health conditions and I will be reporting pure gym London wall after months of not listening to customers. If you’re new and thinking of joining do not join this gym unless you have an ice bath to bring with you!!!

Negative experience: Air conditioning in their studio where classes are held is appalling. I would not expect this from a large chain and in City of London. During summer months it should be on full. Ruined my gym class as could hardly breathe as it is a small studio. For 2 months air con has been on low in this studio and it’s completely unacceptable as it is a basement gym. I should have free membership for 6 months as compensation. You tell staff there all they do is advise it’s the building management and shrug it off. Not impressed.

Negative experience: Basically no AC so it is a hot and sweaty basement. The showers are dirty. Gets pretty busy at peak time so tough to get a squat rack.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym, I cannot rate it enough! Due to covid I left and went to another big chain close to home, however I am so glad to be back here. The facilities are new, clean, fresh, working, all top spec and friendly staff and always a cleaner in sight. Good changing facilities, and decent showers. The gym offers towels so it has everything you need. So glad to be back! Awesome gym.

Negative experience: Puregym Camberwell Southampton way. Run away. the management makes you feel that they are the boss and you are nothing. makes you beg for having a locker available and if the lockers are full and therefore decide to don't leave your bag hanging in the locker room unsafe they suspend you subscription and ask you to beg to be accepted again at there gym. If you looking for a gym in the area I strongly recommend to don't even bother with Puregym and to go to Easygym instead very friendly management

It is against our gym rules to leave your bags on the gym floor so we ask all members to use the locker facilities we provide. This is for members own safety to avoid tripping hazards if things are left on the floor but also for your own safety to ensure your belongings are safe while you are training. When a membership is suspended you would need to speak to management so they can explain the reason behind this before unsuspending. This is not designed to make members uncomfortable but to ensure the gym rules can be properly explained and further suspensions avoided. Thanks, Puregym

Positive experience: This is the better branch of the pure gyms. It's not too big and sometimes can get a bit crowded. But has all the essential equipments. But doesn't provide resistance bands and the equipments are made for men only. Benches are too high for me. Pull up bars are too thick.

Fantastic experience: i often us the gym at lunchtimes, the gym equipment is good, the staff are friendly, the only thing i would say if the people that use equipment during this pandemic should clean things down more themselves as the station are there for us, this is not a reflection on the gym just the people using it.

Fantastic experience: Great gym for working peeps. Good sized lockers to keep your suit on a hanger that is provided. Towels are there. Overall good quality and not extremely populated.

Fantastic experience: The best Puregym I've visited. Midweek after work it wasn't overwhelmed with patrons. There is a good selection of equipment that is well spaced out. The staff even do things like put weights back on the racks on the occasions gym goers forget / can't be bothered to. The nicest Puregym I've visited to date

Negative experience: Complete disgrace. Entering the gym takes 20 mins. Airport security that doesn't work. Have to go upstairs and then downstairs as there is no signal in the gym. To activate WiFi have to go back up. The IT geniuses make this so impractical. Then the app crashed. So goodbye.

Fantastic experience: Exactly what it says on the tin. Good weights area, likewise with cardio area. Always clean, friendly staff and has towells which is a good bonus for a pure gym. Overall good set up - no complaints based on the price

Fantastic experience: Gets really busy between 6-8 am, but if you can get there after 8, you should be fine with plenty machines to choose from. Towel service included with reasonably clean showers.

Positive experience: Went on a Sunday morning, nice quiet, neat and tidy gym with everything in its place lots of racks and free weights. Changing rooms clean and tidy and loads of clean fresh towels however, the showers are some of the worst in any gym I’ve been in luke warm and on such a short timer that it’s impossible to clean yourself without constantly restarting the shower.

Positive experience: The equipment is very good for its price in the city. In the evenings the gym does get very hot especially for winter. It would be nice if you had barbell pads there and ban thoese members who do not throw their towel away.

Negative experience: Decent gym space, however can get crowded easily - when I saw how many people go there in peak time, I cannot imagine how anyone can get a good workout. The changing rooms are terrible - they are dirty, so are the showers (and I don`t go in peak time or directly after). Number of female members constantly keep bringing up broken hairdryers and meet nothing but ignorance from the management. In past 3 months none of the hairdryers in the female changing rooms is working for longer than 30 seconds. It is absolutely impossible to dry one`s hair. Where else do I have to post this so they finally get fixed/replaced? This is unbelievable, I am sure this gym can afford to buy few new hairdryers with so many people subscribed.

Also in my own experience, members are often happy to let you jump in and share equipment especially at peak times. Staff do undertake regular cleaning checks and we have dedicated cleaning teams come each night to carry out and comply with internal and external audits. But we can of course check the cleaning rotas so if you let the Gym Manager know when you’ve visited they can properly investigate. You would need to speak to the GM regarding broken equipment. If you are unsatisfied with their response contact members services via social media etc, and we can escalate to the Cluster manager. In the meantime, I hope you're able to make the most of the gym and reach your personal fitness goals.

Negative experience: Quite small and with very low ceilings. Feels claustrophobic. Avoid rush hours (early mornings, lunch time and between 5 and 7pm) as some personal trainers set a training area for their clients, limiting the area available for others. Brilliant in the weekend (it’s almost empty)

Negative experience: PureGym don't do saunas but this one is all sauna!! All cardio machines are in the smallest room with low ceilings. Perfect if you're training for Tokyo 2020¡

Positive experience: Free towels!! It makes a massive difference for me. Not having to deal with wet towels is only available on gyms for at least twice the price. It gets busy and all that like any other gym. -- UPDATE -- I'm afraid I have had to revise my review to 3 stars because it's getting very busy to the point where there have been sessions where more popular machines/areas have two people in it constantly. Hopefully they can monitor the busiest machines and get more of those.

Fantastic experience: Really well run gym which is 2 floors underground so the air is a bit recycled, but other than that it's amazing. It's also pretty busy even in the mornings when I go. Staff are super helpful and friendly, classes are great. Love it!

Negative experience: Used to love this gym unfortunately paying 47 pound a month for a gym that is now not 24 hr and is now even shut on weekends and even shuts at 8 on a friday I understand the virus has messed things up but seriously still paying for same price for half the hours the only reason I joined is so i can go late and at weekends . Also the Internet hasn't worked since last year and since opened up still doesn't work And the gym is below ground so you can't use your own mobile WiFi I don't think it's a lot to ask to been able to listen to your headphones while you work out I've asked many times and all they say oh mine is OK.or.oh we know there are problems they've been saying this for over a year and I've tried 3 different phones and none can get Internet so it's not the phone It's a shame because I used to love this gym But I really struggle with motivation and having WiFi so I can access my training apps and music is vit for me And I don't think they understand that not everyone commutes some of us live here at weekends The only gym available that is reasonable near me is Whitechapel and I don't feel comfortable there or cycling there late I loved the London Wall one because its central and near and well lit and right by a busy station I've now moved to the gym group albeit grudgingly the one by monument is open 24 hrs and at weekends and its way cheaper And the Internet is perfect never an issue So yes seriously pureym you expect people to pay full price when your gym are barely open and you have no Internet Shame you don't appreciate loyal customers

Positive experience: Been a member of PureGym London Wall for just over 2 months and I’m really impressed with their facilities. By far the cheapest gym this location but, still has quality equipment and classes. The app is fantastic for tracking your gym time and web shows you how many people are in the gym when you log in, which is an amazing feature for avoiding a busy gym floor. The cardio area is good however. Some machines are very much tucked away in a corner without good air conditioning, so tends to get hot and a little bit smelly. The weights section is fantastic but does get busy very quickly. Everyone is very polite however, which helps when you are sometimes shoulder to shoulder in a smaller area. The changing rooms are spacious with more than enough showers. They are basically but most definitely do the job. Overall, I’d highly recommend PureGym London Wall if you’re looking for a reasonably priced, no frills (no sauna/pool), friendly gym!

Positive experience: Packed and at the floor -3. Feels like rats inside. Unusable at peak hours, almost dangerous with everyone managing weights a few cm from your feet or walking around with weights. To only be use out of peak hours

Positive experience: I've been going to this location since it was LA Fitness back in 2011, 2012? and have seen it go through quite a few changes. It's my home gym (actually, my work gym) and i'm so used to this gym, for better or for worse, it's the one i go to the most. Completely functional and maximised - it has to be, given the volume of City people - but it truly can accommodate a LOT of people given it's functional use of space. Yes, at peak hours it can be very busy and full - but it is 24 hours and it's very convenient. Great, personable trainers and staff. My complaints are that it is very underground so there is no wifi signal / data service and the O2 "free wifi" service they offer is so weak that it is almost as bad as not having a signal in the first place. One more small complaint is more towards the clientele occasionally and the odd person who doesn't understand the unspoken rules of gym etiquette - don't block line of sight, don't interrupt a set and ask your question after, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, re-rack, etc. But that's every gym.

We do offer WiFi at all our gyms, through O2, as you are aware. If this is a continuous problem I would advise leaving a note in the feedback box, or approaching the Gym Manager, so this issue may be looked into further. We are unable to monitor people not standing in sight, however it may be worth just explaining this to other members in the hope it won't happen again! It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this. Positive experience: Being in such a busy area this pure gym is a bit small. Monday is forever my leg day because it's the only day I can reliably get a squat rack or deadlift platform. Not sure there's much that can be done, but even in the so called "functional training" room people just spill in to stretch as there's also very little floor space. Go in prepared to be flexible with the exercises you want to do and you'll be ok. Free towels is a nice touch at least.

Positive experience: Good gym overall (several squat racks, a lot of free benches) but a seated calves machine (the one with bent knees not the straight legs one already there) would be needed and a proper inclined abs bench, not the kind they have that hurts everybody's lower back (very bad design). Positive experience: Not bad, it's only got 1 bench press which is daft, but plenty of free benches and several squat racks. Dumbells up to 50 which is reasonable. The staff try and keep it clean but during peak times the shower floors get very dirty very quickly, wear flip flops! Sadly it is rammed with city worker mummy's boys who despite their regular attendance still can't bench 100kg or run a mile and half....which I guess is a result of spending more time blow drying their hair and moisturising than actually training....seriously the men's changing rooms are more like a branch of L'oreal than a gym locker. As a consequence the changing rooms are rammed immediately before and after work with people milling about taking 8 minute showers and leaving kit spilling across an entire changing rack. Then once their beauty regimen is complete they leave their wet towel(s) strewn about instead of dropping them in the towel bins provided. Don't worry mate mummy always cleaned up for you before, I'm sure someone will pick up your mess for you now as well. Similarly re racking the weights is a poorly maintained discipline, luckily the disorder decreases as you go up the KGs and anything above 40 is normally still where it should be. Edit: the gym contacted me to suggest I was less disparaging of other members. I honestly did think about my remarks until I saw the attached photo the next day. The pile of towels is under the sign that says there is alternative towel drop bins ON THE WAY OUT, about 10 yards further towards the door. Yet this is the behaviour you get. A PT who trained and studied to help people get the most from excercise and movement appeared shortly after to gather up towels. I'm sure if he wanted to work in a launderette that is the job he would have applied for.

As it is, this doesn't fit in with PureGym's ethos that everybody is welcome at PureGym and is welcome to work out in the way best suited for them - so it certainly doesn't matter if some people may lift lighter weights or need to moisturise their skin. It's unfortunately true that some members don't always return their weights and in doing so they risk suspension. Although, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights. I really do hope you understand this and that this does not put you off from attending the gym. EDIT: Staff do undertake regular cleaning checks and we have dedicated cleaning teams come each night to carry out and comply with internal and external audits. The gym staff are aware of the feedback regarding where people are leaving their towels, but also help with general cleanliness around the gym where applicable! Fantastic experience: out of the 3 i use this is the nicer, lunch times are manic but still plenty of space the gym offers free towels, but makes me laugh how customers are able to lift heavy weights but unable to lift a wet towel to place it in the towel baskets. manors cost nothing, the staff are there to help you not to be servants
