Our comment from FitFit UK about Finchley Lido Leisure Centre:

Finchley Lido Leisure Centre, located in London, United Kingdom, offers a diverse range of swimming facilities including a 25m fitness pool, a wave pool for kids, and an outdoor lido that is particularly enjoyable during warm weather. Many visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, noting that the centre caters well to families, making it a great spot for children to play.

The pool area generally maintains a reasonable level of cleanliness, and many patrons enjoy using the gym facilities which are equipped with modern machines. However, some users have expressed concerns about overcrowding during peak times and uneven maintenance of cleanliness in changing areas.

Strengths:

  • Variety of swimming pools suitable for all ages
  • Welcoming and helpful staff
  • Good amenities for fitness enthusiasts
  • Outdoor lido adds value during sunny days
  • Free parking available

Areas for Improvement:

  • Overcrowding can be an issue at peak times
  • Some facilities, particularly the changing areas, could benefit from more frequent cleaning
  • Water temperatures in the pools need better regulation
  • Booking systems could be improved for a smoother user experience

Overall, Finchley Lido Leisure Centre is a well-loved community spot with opportunities for fun and fitness, though it could enhance the overall experience by addressing cleanliness and capacity management issues.

Negative experience: Mostly the shower is cold ,my kid couldn’t take the shower , it’s so annoying .

Negative experience: Very poor ,,, staff were very rude

H3artsfor1m4n (L0u4evs) 9 months ago

Negative experience: If I could give it a zero I would. Let me tell you why, the manager is VERY VERY rude. He told of little kids for wearing a swimming mask goggles (the one with the nose cover attached), and there is no time limit when you book swimming you book it and swim for however long you want (obviously until the pool shuts) but weirdly the manager was watching me and my friend and then called us and asked when we booked so I said the time and he told me and my friend to leave because it’s for 1 hour only (which it is not you can stay however long you want) I definitely won’t be coming back here again.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy coming here to swim, I find that the water is always the perfect temperature to exercise in and it doesn't get too busy like other pools do.

Positive experience: Good facilities - a bit of a hit and miss in terms of how crowded it is. Good that they have nice swimming pools too. The staff was very friendly with me but unfortunately the membership buying experience is not very nice - took a long time and in the end the system took the money without assigning me a membership card. Not ideal, took 2 days to fix. Apart from that so far so good. The nice thing about this is that the people attending the gym are very diverse: all ages all shapes and sizes. Love that.

Positive experience: Its ok. Nearest public pool to me. Water was bery cold

Negative experience: How is possible that the pool for kids to be open only 1 hour in morning from 10:00-11:00 am…

Claire Dunn- Runswick 1 year ago

Negative experience: Very dirty everywhere. Plasters and skin and old knitted hair in the pools. Tiles falling off the walls of the pool.

Negative experience: Horrible!very crowded!it seems that booking is just a joke there and it’s overloaded….week facilities..showers not working properly ..absolutely dirty and very small leisure pool…it’s not worth visiting at all

Positive experience: Good place for swimming. The customer service is not perfect. Not very friendly staff, but they do their job. I mean you barely can see any smiles. Busy place. Fairly clean. In total not bad, but not perfect.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, staff are there to push you at your time there. The pool is also brilliant to practice strokes in lanes.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. I came with my two kids one was 3 and the other is a baby and they wouldn’t allow us inside bc you had to book it online eventhough I came before and they always accept walk ins also online it was no where stated that they don’t accept walk ins and it was not corona time. I went there twice and the first time it was very crowded and extremely small there is only a small pool outside and inside is a small kids area and that’s about it. When I tried to book it online it was not working and I came from very far there and was send away I suggest anyone not to go there. Very sad for my daughter

Negative experience: i went into the baby pool with my 5 month old within 5-10 minutes being in the water my babys lips was shiffting he was frezing! soon as i put him in the water it was cold. so we moved around in the water trying to warm up in the water however his limbs went bright blue, legs, hands, mouth, arms, i ran straight to the changing rooms to get him warm in a towel within couple minutes his colour came back we went to a&e they explained the water is way to cold for a baby it isn't at baby's temperature , a condition called Acrocyanosis caused by spasm of the small blood vessels within the skin, usually in response to cold or emotional stress from the cold water. never ever again will i let my kids in this pool or tell any baby's to go there. i understand a adult pool however this was a BABY ONE!

Positive experience: Booked an outdoor session with Mrs and our baby boy and the place was rammed, management really need a system to see who’s booked and who hasn’t, anyone from the gym or indoor pool can go outside and use the facility. No wristbands given, and surely there aren’t enough lifeguards for that many people, Uk law is 1:30 it was more like 1:60. Overall good experience as customers and staff were friendly. Just please sort out the access.

Negative experience: Very busy but both the indoor & outdoor leisure pools were filthy- loads of hair in the water, people spitting in too openly. Disgusting.

Ahu Kok (Ahu) 1 year ago

Negative experience: Just been there. It was absolutely packed. Can't even move inside swimming pool forget about swimming. I know it's a summer season but I believe it's still not excuse to fill up that place with that many people. Time slots definitely not checked especially outside swimming pool and it causes pile up. Anyway just paid £24 family of 3 for nothing. We left after 10- 15 min with very unhappy kids.

Andrew Bates 1 year ago

Positive experience: One of the best public pools in the area. Good 25m fitness pool, normally divided into speed lanes, wave pool for the kids and outdoor lido for summer. Unisex changing area (cubicles) and lockers in the main pool area. Staff are generally helpful and plenty of lifeguards. U16 need to do a swim test to use the fitness pool, but it can be added to your membership (BETTER) card so you don't have to complete every time. Tickets best booked on line though the BETTER app: there isn't often a queue but service can be slow when someone has a query as there is normally only one person on the desk.

Latifa Yassine 1 year ago

Negative experience: Good swimming places took my 5 kids and 3 of them are old enough to swim alone but we're not allowed because they were under 16 (the pool was extremely shallow) had to bring my kids in two's which wasted my time

Max Lewis 1 year ago

Negative experience: Not a great place to go it’s like in the big pool. It’s like a circuit. You have to go around around and around it go back to the to my charter days. It’s not like a circuit to go round around around.

Sophie M 1 year ago

Negative experience: The main pool is constantly halved to make way for classes/lessons at all times of day, which means that there are only 3 narrow lanes for lane swimming. It can get very overcrowded, as they don’t alter booking numbers to reflect the space etc. Secondly, the speeds of swimmers in each lane are never policed. Which means you’re always overtaking someone in the medium lane, or being aggressively chased and shouted at by a wannabe Olympian man-child in the fast lane. If these things could be fixed, it would be a fairly decent place to come for a casual swim.

k a (Mimibojangles) 1 year ago

Negative experience: Came for a family swim. The family pool is small and used by a lot of very young toddlers and babies. If you're going with older children who like to just have fun in the pool, there's not much room for this at all. The changing facilities were filthy and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Hair and dirt everywhere. You can buy tickets for entry online but this is pointless as they don't seem to limit the number of people at any one time, as mentioned it was really busy given the small size of the pool and not much room. The positives are that there is a wave machine and I found the lifeguards and staff friendly. The lane swimming pool looked decent and relatively quiet but unfortunately the state of the changing rooms (which are part of the swimming area) are just too filthy to consider returning. Also spectators are poolside (rather than a seperate observation area) so walk their dirty outdoor shoes through the area that swimmers have to walk through to use the main pool.

Fantastic experience: Nice and slow half mile swim in their outside cold Lido 25 meter swimming pool and a brief ☀️ sunbathe in one of their sun lounges chairs afterwards.

Negative experience: The lifeguard was very rude.I came with my daughter to go swimming, she has been swimming for almost 4 years. The lifeguard told us to get out and started saying things that were not true. The kiddy pool was packed with people and there was only 1 lifeguard for around 20 people. The staff was very unproffecional and rude.Definetly never come here with familiy.Do not reccomend.

Fantastic experience: Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an absolutely wonderful time visiting Finchley Lido Leisure Centre! This place has something for everyone, whether you’re looking to swim, workout, or just have a relaxing day. The swimming facilities are excellent, with a clean, well-maintained pool that’s perfect for both serious swimmers and families looking for fun. The outdoor lido is a fantastic addition, especially on sunny days! The gym is equipped with modern fitness equipment and the staff members are always on hand to offer assistance and advice. The centre is very clean and well organized, making it easy to navigate through the different areas. What truly stands out is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. They are genuinely friendly and go out of their way to ensure visitors have a great experience. I highly recommend Finchley Lido Leisure Centre for a day out—it’s a great place to stay active and unwind!

Thank you Adam and Will for making it really fun and giving him the confidence. We will definitely come back for regular swimming lessons!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely best place to learn to swim. All staff are so friendly and all three of my children love going here.

Positive experience: Nice tidy place with modern equipment. Nice bonus with the pool. Also great they have the Junior slots so my kids can go as well. We just had a walk around, but we’ll probably sign up in next couple of days.

Fabien Cardineau 1 year ago

Negative experience: Changing Facilities and toilets were filthy. The set of rules makes the pool barely usable for family: Kids under 16 are not allowed to swim in the main pool. They can only use the small paddling pool. They only have a single lifeguard for the main pool during school holidays so they could not open the pool for free swim. Even though the main pool is not allowed under 16, they require the younger kids to do a swimming test just to be allowed in the small pool. Worst pool in North London, but still in line with the other badly managed pool by BETTER UK

Elle Cedar 1 year ago

Positive experience: Very friendly staff. Not the cleanest of places; midges flying round the changing cubicles and general filth on lower walls and lockers aren't cleaned. The variety of classes is good when the trainer turns up.

Giuseppe Sarnari 2 years ago

Negative experience: Tried the sauna after many years.....shocking experience.small( it must be half the size it used to),overcrowded and noisy. You have to pay extra for it without knowing how many people are in there( there is some sort of membership that allows you unlimited use for a 2x3 sauna)....and the rest.....the people that manage the premises should be prosecuted!

Ann Karanja 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Absolutely Pure Gym! I have being using this Gym for the past 5 years! Lots of varieties of classes which are absolutely great with very knowledgeable trainers who are at the same time friendly and helpful, Always there to help! I would recommend to anyone who wants to get fit, lose weight and maintain their health fitness! The environment is clean, spacious with lots of varieties of equipments!

Negative experience: Pool is nice but very busy, the changing rooms were an abomination, the female toilets on the pool level was covered in piss and tissues and stank, maybe it was because my visit was late in the day that I found the facilities so disrespected. I did witness staff cleaning, maybe an overhaul of the changing facilities in general would help to improve the dankness of the whole pool area

Negative experience: Very old and dated gym with poor service and hygiene. Sauna is always packed and stinks of Persian kebabs !!!

Negative experience: I didn’t have the membership I paid for our swimming session, receptionist didn’t tell us in 30 minutes swimming session will be for kids and I was treated so badly by the Very unfriendly staffs in the pool they shouted multiple times with the most disrespectful attitude. Was my first and last time never recommended

Positive experience: The facilities are great but 3 stars only as the water in the pools is too cold

Rpi RK 2 years ago

Positive experience: I go here for a swim occasionally. I usually go before 0800. The medium speed swim lane can be slightly crowded at times, but not so much that it is uncomfortable or anything. It is a bit dated, but perfectly fine. It seems clean enough, but picky people may not be impressed.

Nicole Ivanova 2 years ago

Negative experience: Swimming pool is so dirty, felt so itchy afterwards. Changing areas, showers were the same, even flies in the cubicles. Main Pool was so busy on a Sunday 9am and people are so rude and entitled! Everything is completely outdated, going back to Copthall Leisure Centre which is 100x nicer and definitely cleaner.

Ricky Bantz 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: The pool is clean and the changing areas are well kept.

Nikita Kopa 2 years ago

Positive experience: Good for value, especially for those who live nearby. Tickets are available online, so you should not worry about queues. Indoor kids pool has wave machine, but they start it only for about 5 mins in an hour. Despite of this, it is always overcrowded. Outdoor pool is only 90 cm depth. In the morning it was reasonably clean and not extremally busy, in the afternoon turned dirty and overcrowded.

Valery Bogdanov 2 years ago

Positive experience: It's okay lido, with small pool for little kids and normal pool for adults. It's great that they have sauna there. But changing rooms are crowed, showers are not working properly, big crowds of visitors.

Monika Dyn 2 years ago

Negative experience: I took my kids to the pool today. Sadly, there was too many people, we just could not swim. The pool was very dirty and full of hair. Showers and changing rooms were equally dirty . My kids asked to leave half way as it was just not enjoyable at all. Very disappointing :(

Julian Wheatley 2 years ago

Negative experience: Impossible to swim, leisure pool packed like Reading festival, while main pool devoted to 7 kids doing lessons. Outside pool not much better and 70cm deep!

Gladys Macadaeg 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: My son and I love this place. Free parking and nice pool. Only issue is the toilet are dirty at some times. Needs frequent cleaning

Damian Cannon 2 years ago

Positive experience: The Finchley Lido offers a 25m main pool along with a wave pool and an outdoor pool open in the summer. Generally the pools are busy but not so much that you can't enjoy a good lane session. There's also a reasonable size gym upstairs with all of the machines and apparatus that you could desire. It's a shame that the sauna isn't open every morning anymore but otherwise this is a fine leisure complex.

Maryam Sadraeifar 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Hi my experience was very good. Especially employees behavior in swimming sector was very politely. Changing rooms were clean.

Anony Mous 2 years ago

Positive experience: As someone who cannot yet afford the neighbouring swimming facility, I have mixed feelings about Finchley Lido. On a positive note, the receptionist gentleman is amazing and always goes above and beyond to help. The swimming teachers also seem dedicated and professional. However, there are a couple of ongoing issues that haven't been addressed despite multiple complaints. Every day, there are swimming lessons taking place in the main pool, and parents sit all around the facility in their outdoor shoes, outdoor dress, buggies, using phones and laptops. Furthermore, another issue at Finchley Lido is the presence of other siblings running around bored, with moms and dads occasionally present. It becomes quite uncomfortable to walk around them in a swimming suit, adding to the overall inconvenience of the experience. It lacks hygiene and privacy, and no changes have been made, and won't be, as I was advised. It would be greatly appreciated if Finchley Lido could implement measures such as asking them to wait outside or utilising a partition to separate them from the other pool area, where people are in swimsuits and slippers. I was advise they are watching their children.. they don't. They watching everything, but their children. This would help create a more comfortable and hygienic environment for all visitors, WHO PAYS. Additionally, the Swim for All pool lacks proper regulations and rules. There are frequent instances of adults behaving inappropriately, splashing water, and not respecting the surroundings or children who can't swim. Kids after finishing their swimming lessons also use the pool as their own playground, although they finished what they paid for. Sometimes the lifeguards take action, but other times they just watch, them. This happens almost every day, creating an uncomfortable environment.

Fantastic experience: Great place with indoor and outdoor pools. One of the inside pools has a wave machine, which is really fun for the kids. Nice area to sunbathe outside and refreshments, too. Cool vibe and nice and clean

Szidonia Kovacs 2 years ago

Negative experience: The pools are nice, they seem old but the size and the wave feature is great. It would be very baby friendly if the baby changing cubicles were cleaned more often as the baby changers are used by everybody to store items on it and they get very dirty, so unable to use them for baby unfortunately. Seen from labels to used underware, cream , everything on them. Parkingbis free and plenty, if you are Barnet resident and you sign up for that membership ( it is free) then adult entry is 5.5£ instead of the normal 7.8£. Babies unders 3 is free. The general cleanness is very poor unfortunately, parent who come to bring their children for swimming class walk in with shoes, then kids from that floor into pool. Would be a great place if would be managed better. I would advise buy ticket in advance as otherwise takes long to gain entry.

Positive experience: The pool is ok but too Overcrowded. I think they need to do online bookings only or only allow a certain amount of people at a time.

Mentori Ramadani 2 years ago

Negative experience: We visited the pool today with our young adult nephew who has autism (great swimmer) and our three nieces (also great swimmers) and us two adults. Not busy and not overcrowded session. The lady at the reception was polite and greeted us professionally. I'm still in disbelief how rude the staff were inside the pool, two female staff - life guards. The way how they spoke to the children and adults overall was unacceptable. I must highlight that the health&safety of the pool users is paramount, i understand that, however the way how they shouted and screamed at them was uncalled for. This should be fun and recreational time and not to be shouted at or to be treated like the children were in correctional institutional environment. Rude and unprofessional attitude all over. This will be the last time that my family and I be visiting the pool. Moreover, I'll make sure I'll pass my low opinion about the staff to my friends, colleagues and others

Ben Kovler 2 years ago

Positive experience: Friendly and helpful staff and a good warmish pool but no real family pool and the childrens/play pool has a wave machine that was too much for little children yo be able to enjoy the pool (or even be in it while it's on)

abdul jilani 2 years ago

Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend that, staff are rude, showers, most of the times cold, I use sauna lot, they turn on in exact times, you after seat for a while until it get hot now days they reduce the temperature, Few times more than 8 people went in member of came told us to leave or they'll turn off the sauna, with really aggressive manners, Went in 1st April 2023 the don't allowed us more than 15 minutes, Then there was more than 8 people, members staff came to tell us he is going to turned off the sauna, which he did. I found they are very unprofessional.

Negative experience: Very old equipment in the gym. No proper air conditioning. Dirty pool and surfaces.People changing by the pool and leave stuff there. Not helpful staff at all . Water station is out of service more than one month and we mention that many times but no one cares.

Yasemin Allsop 2 years ago

Positive experience: Beautiful swimming pool and the gym. Not very crowded and fairly clean, except after swimming lessons. Good value. Most of the staff are lovely, polite and helpful, but there are one or too that are extremely unprofessional who think it is ok to shout at customers and their colleagues. Shocking really. I haven’t made my mind up whether to continue with membership or to cancel it. No one pays to be shouted by aggressive staff. I sent an email to the manager, let’s see how they handle this case…

Sebastian Ille 2 years ago

Negative experience: The Lido at Finchley is a mixed bag. Admittedly, it could be a bit cleaner here and there, but you seemingly get a good deal. Swimming pool and even a sauna for the price of a regular gym without these amenities. Under these conditions, it is definitely worth four or five stars. Unfortunately, the Lido does not offer these amenities (or at least not anymore) to most of its members. The fundamental advantage of the Lido, its swimming pool, is only available during very specific and very inconvenient times. The management has decided to rent out the pool for other activities and during these times, it is no longer available to members. I can understand that this is a means to cover the higher energy costs and initially this policy was rather limited and caused only a few clashes. However, the availability of the pool has been drastically and increasingly curtailed over time and you will now find it barely available to member. During these rare times, the pool is hopelessly overcrowded. To make matters worse, opening times are also fairly limited. On top of this, the management must have recently changed its gym policy. For the past few months, it is regularly overrun by teenagers who have hardly hit puberty and who have discovered this as a new place to hang out after school. Not only is the use of weights at this age and without proper instructions highly dangerous, but it drastically limits the times at which the members can freely use the gym. If you are a student, fully flexible, and able to plan your schedule around the Lido, this is definitely a good deal. If your availability is limited due to work and other commitments, you will rarely make use of the Lido and are better off at one of its competitors which allow 24/7 access.

Mano Gomes 2 years ago

Positive experience: It a good gym. Good machines, all working, there is an area for boxing equipped with boxing equipment which I found quite surprising. You should find all equipment you are supposed to at a gym! In Off peak times, they will turn some machines off "for saving the environment" purposes, which can be annoying when you want to use that cardio machine and there is none available. Also if you are 16+, avoid going to it on week days bet 16-18h and weekends between 14-16h as on those times the gym will allow kids between 11-15 years old to join and it can be really annoying as most of them will just hang in the gym not really doing anything (and trying to access the heavy weight area if there is no supervisor around, which is most of the times). I mean, in a month's time I already seen a kid trying to lift a 60kg barbell, 10 kids playing ball on the boxing area, so really do not recommend going on that time. Parking is free (which is a plus), I haven't used the swimming facility nor the group sessions yet, but swimming seems quite a hit, there is always a lot of people there!

Negative experience: MacDonalds staff member, white shirted manager smoking right outside main entrance. Stinking the place out with his smelly cigarette. I could smell it on him when he served me a few minutes later. Not a very pleasant experience.

Positive experience: I’m sauna lover but sadly have to say Its bit annoying since the prices of energy went up the sauna has only about 80/85 degrees which is not too much for the right effect. There were reduced hours when it’s on and they already reduced that again, I’m disappointed. Anyway it’s still nearest and cheapest where can I go and relax, swim or do some exercise in the gym.

Positive experience: One off swim is expensive at £7. Pool area is clean though with plenty of life guards. It seems a well maintained pool. Sauna room is terrible. Very small area with lots of people in there. The sauna does not get hot enough either. I would go again but only as a last resort.

After swimming around12 laps under supervision of person who’s can’t even swim were told to go out as the “kid” is not good enough for a pool !! No swimmer judged a person who does 12laps in row and continue swimming his time !! Absolutely disappointed!!

Positive experience: My daughter and I went swimming here in October half term, it was not busy and there is free parking. It was simple to get in, we wanted to use the 'lane' pool however we were not allowed because you have to be older and prove that you can swim (we wanted to practice). So we had to use the smaller pool. This was not to much of a problem, it was good fun, but could not practice much. They do have a wave machine that was really good. Overall the place was clean and staff were good.

Mr K. Gilbert 3 years ago

Positive experience: Very small gym area, I can see this place being very congested in the evenings although I go in the day time. Unfortunately can not swim.in the day as they have kids lessons and so on but the app allows you to book swimming sessions when you can not attend which is eternally frustrating, but you live and learn. Plus points is the lido but only during the summer month and the wave pool which the kids absolutely love no matter how old they are. Ahem ahem. Very small and unisex changing area, it can get quite crowded in here too

Mansah Gbes 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Love Finchley lido, love the different pools as I'm.not a strong swimmer so can't do lanes, I go into the small pool/Kids pool. But honestly once they put the wave machine on, OMG literally you will be shouting Tsunami!I had to hold on for dear life and this was mid-week, but so fun! Not too many in the pool which is great. Will be back for my mid-week paddle.

Poppy Corrigan 3 years ago

Positive experience: Took my 17 month here for swimming. Love that there is separate pool for children. And the lifeguards were kind and told us when the waves were starting so we could move to the shallow bit. Only downfall is rust on floor and some of the railings. The toilets are bit to far for my liking from baby changing room. Other then that staff friendly enough.

Negative experience: The booking service is very easy to use and have never had an issue with it. The pool and shower temperature needs to be sorted out. Our 2 year old spent the whole session shivering due to the temperature of the pool. We thought a shower would warm her up but it was just as cold. Lifeguards were good and staff were helpful but the facilities around the pool and changing areas need to be addressed

Positive experience: The good thing is they have outside pool. Also the water is clean and they have plenty of toilet and changing station in one big open area

Positive experience: Lack of staff getting in took ages. Odd "rule" my kids couldn't practice there laps in the slow lane of the big pool

Negative experience: Green tiles in the pool. Confusing male or female changing room areas as there are 2 big open spaces provided. Unisex shower area facing the pool, so you can't shower with soap and then get changed straight away. Has the main pool, kiddies pool, changing rooms, shower space all in one huge area, so it sounds like your in a circus

Fantastic experience: There are 3 pools, one of them is outside. You must book it over the holidays. Great fun.

Fantastic experience: Nice place to go with all family. Not to big lido, winning with warm water and grass to put towel for sunbath. There is also small shop with ice-cream and drinks. There are 2 indoor swimming pools. One wave pool run every 30 minutes, every 15 and 45 minutes after each hour. Also nice and warm water. Second one to swim in lines, once no swimming lessons not running that time. Only concern, that water outdoor is bit cloudy compared to indoor one, so maybe cleaning system not working properly. Toilets should be cleaned more often. Also what would be good if there would be some place with water for feet before enter pool. Most of the pools in UK haven't got it. Reached there as lidos closest to my place was fully booked. It is longer travel but was worthy to go. Definitely will go there again and will recommend it to my friends. Overall giving 5 stars.

Negative experience: This is a review of the online booking service, rather than the leisure centre which is very nice and new in my opinion. - Firstly the app. You cannot pay on the app as confirmed by customer services over the phone. So absolutely no point in using the app. What a wasted expensive waste on developers and cost to the tax payer. - Secondly the Fab membership discount. In order for my family of 4 to receive the discount I was told on the phone with customer service that I’d need to login separately and pay separately to all receive the discount. What an inefficient system and poor design. I felt embarrassed for the lady on customer services telling me this. If we can’t pay over the phone at least have a system that works!

Positive experience: The water is extremely cold. The family pool is very small. When it's to full capacity there is hardly any room to play. The waves are brilliant though. The outdoor pool was not open which was a shame as thats why we went.

Fantastic experience: I used to swim here years ago and it's since undergone a transformation. It's clean and friendly, and swimming in the outdoor pool on a hot day is delicious. For daily exercise, the lanes are nicely set out. I like it!

Negative experience: Went here after 12 years, the cubicles and floors are still as disgusting as they were back then. Not a single spot that is clean to walk in from coming in and out of the pools. I was literally gagging

Positive experience: Could not be more shocked at the price if just over 7 pounds for 50 mins swimming it's diabolical and whoever authorised that is a disaster. Great facilities and nice staff

Positive experience: Good place for families to enjoy a swim and wave machine is a big attraction. Changing rooms could be monitored and cleaned more frequently but that's a small issue

Negative experience: Avoid at all cost and this swimming pool made my child ill! My partner took my little one 3 years old went to the pool today and when I picked little one up and his face and lips went completed blue!! I asked my partner what happened and he told me that he felt the water was a bit cold. But he thought the water temperature must be checked by the management from the swimming pool and the kid will feel warmer after a while in the water. Clearly my partner made a judgment error and should have taken our child out straightaway but I would say this is down to management of this swimming pool to keep the water at the safety level for younger one to swim if they are selling the ticket to us. My little one is now suffering and they deserve no star if I could! I would avoid this type of places at any cost!

Negative experience: Used to swim here when I was younger, took my infant today and was very disappointed. Pool didn't look clean with what looked like rust and mold on the floor. Cctv in the changing rooms too where there are kids? Staff seemed grumpy. Not a good experience better places around. The place seems to need some serious changes

Positive experience: I used to go to swimming classes (for children to teens) here and the instructors were great! Though the place itself was not the cleanest; you could find all sorts of rubbish on the floors or even at the bottom of, usually, the kids pool. Also there are still not enough showers for especially busy days so you may be forced to stand around a while.

Negative experience: Turned up with the intention of joining after trying the gym on a day pass. Despite day passes being available to buy online, they turned me away saying I need to join to try it. A bit strange really, obviously don’t need any new members. Didn’t even invite me to look around - took business elsewhere

Negative experience: The gym is small, but it wouldn't be a problem if the machines worked. Some machines haven't been working for more than a month, and there's no other one to replace the exercise, much fewer an expectation date to repair what's broken.
