Positive experience: Great gym, pool area could do with being decorated to feel a bit more luxurious to match hotel

Negative experience: Bought a gift card for my other half before Covid, and a date was booked which then had to be cancelled due to lockdown. Since then, they have refused to respond to any queries regarding honouring the gift card or a refund. So we're down £144. Not impressed.

Positive experience: Lovely spa, excellent massage in couples gift voucher experience, friendly staff, clean premises, gym with all equipment could want, smaller sized pool, but great jacuzzi and loungers. Next to Quy mill hotel where you can have great lunch & go back to spa!

Positive experience: Disappointed! This place is very tired. The jacuzzi pool had a notice saying out of action indefinitely, but my daughter wasn't informed at the time of booking, and we weren't told on checking in. The place was too cold to relax in unless wrapped up in a dressing gown. The pool had lanes segregated for children's private swimming lessons, not condusive to tranquil relaxation. Overall, the twilight spa session is not to be recommended. The treatment area was the only saving grace for this event which once we had entered that area, our expectations of a spa event were met. The pool area and relaxation area is very tired and dated and in need of an overhaul.

Negative experience: This place has gone steadily downhill over the last two years. Dirty changing rooms, facilities regularly out of order, poor staff training & customer service. The small bald man on spa reception always has an attitude problem. Its a shame as the place has potential, however the girls from the spa upstairs are always welcoming & pleasant.

Negative experience: NEVER ATTEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I’ve received a gift certificate for this spa. Since 25 of December 2022 till 19 of Feb 2023 this establishment haven’t answered the phone or email even once. This is a joke and absolute disrespect to their costumers. The certificate is impossible to refund and to use. Please never attend that spa.

Negative experience: I received a gift for Christmas from the Imagine Spy studio in 3 months. I could not get through to the studio for 3 months at the phone number indicated on the site in Google Maps and vouchers , I emailed the studio twice and no one answered me. In the end, I'm leaving England. In a week, I couldn't sign up for the gift voucher procedure. As a result, I got through to the studio once yesterday I did not receive clear answers from from the manager, not about the treatment , not about the return of money. He just said that studio fully booked and they will connect me. But nobody called me after than. terrible gift terrible experience!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Best full body massage I had.

Negative experience: No replies to any phone calls or online contact forms for weeks - don’t bother trying to book any spa treatments here!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, this is a terrible managed place... 3 months od calling to book an appointment without success. I left messages on voicemail as well as their website 'contact form' and nobody bother to reply. I've lost my voucher thanks to them.

Positive experience: Great place better now the jucusy is all systems go.

Fantastic experience: l am a member of Riverside Spa. This was once known as Imagine spa, but is now rebranded and managed by Quy Mill Hotel. Since the management has changed, there has been a massive improvement in cleanliness. The facilities have been smartened with the new branding and facilities have improved. The staff are lovely and the pool is gorgeous. My happy place.

Negative experience: When we are arrived for a treatment, we just realised we need to do for ourselves. No one help to feel relaxed. basically you pay £40 or more for a ball of mud to put on your body. Then no one tell you the jacuzzi out of order . Plus after you pay £80 or more you need to pay £5 more for a towel and robe . Ridiculous!

Positive experience: The staff was nice and accommodating. The facilities inside were nice but outside could be more welcoming as some tables and chairs on a patio area is not enough to create the right mood. The thing that really annoyed me is that they give complementary slippers to clients but instead of being washed and reused for the next clients, like they do in other spas, they get thrown away! Seriously? It was heartbreaking to see a huge amount of slippers in the black bin (I took mine and my friend's at home to be reused). We live in a period where we keep talking about unnecessary waste and I expect to see places like this to do their part too. I'm not going back until this is fixed.

Positive experience: Nice pool and jacuzzi. Limited and uncomfortable sunbeds. Changing areas are clean, spacious and have good warm showers.

Negative experience: Bad customer service and bad experience. Would not recommend. So my wife booked a spa day for me and phoned up to book it as a surprise for my 29th birthday. When she phoned they said the gym and sauna would be available. Turned up and it wasn’t. Reception person’s idea of a tour was to just hand us robes and point us to the changing rooms without showing us what facilities they had, where the treatment would be and why some facilities were not available. When we asked where was good to run as the gym wasn’t available he said he didn’t know.

Negative experience: Terrible experience - twice! I was booked into a spa day here as a treat and when I arrived, found out they'd messed up my booking and I'd lost my treatment appointments. I was allowed to use the facilities and rebook my spa day and treatments for another date. I gave the place the benefit of the doubt but they managed to get the bookings wrong again (I think in total there were 3 messed up bookings overall). The spa treatment I eventually received was nice, nothing special but that's the only nice thing I have to say. The facilities were horrible, so run down and shabby. There was very limited seating available. There is no ability to get something to eat or drink (there is a tepid water fountain with plastic cups covered in ants of that's your sort of thing) but I was informed I could have food 'delivered' from the hotel restaurant. 'Delivered' actually meant they'd leave my hot food unattended outside in the courtyard whilst someone came to tell me it was there. The food was, unsurprisingly, terrible. I sat next to hotel rooms in a paved area, eating my cold food and with hotel guests walking by me. The sun room area had ants crawling all over the place. The customer service was some of the worst I've ever received. Both visits I'd made were really shambolic and they offered for me to attend again for free but I declined. That's how bad the place is - I wouldn't go back even if it was free! There are so many other nicer spa locations nearby, I'd recommend going anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Very relaxing

Positive experience: Went with a friend and chose the Indulge Day. which was the top package on offer. Including 2 hours of treatments and lunch, it was good value. My beauty therapist Holly was quite possibly the best I have ever met. She was professional and caring, ensuring at all times that I was enjoying the experiences of scrub, massage and facial. I cannot recommend her enough. My only small quibble with the rating I have given was the carpeted areas needed a good vacuum, hence one star was missing. Other than that it was great. We felt good when we left and both said we would return.

Negative experience: Everything here is in need of renovation/an update. Unfortunately the pool and jacuzzi area reminded me of an old school public swimming pool. The changing rooms have tiles missing on the walls and in the ‘relaxation room’ the light fixtures looked like they had been ripped off the walls and don’t work. Also the loungers are ripped and tatty. If you are looking for a ‘luxury’ spa day then don’t come here. It’s all just super outdated and there are much better spas in the area.

Negative experience: Their spa facilities are in need of an urgent renovation. The swimming pool is a decent size but that’s it. The 2 sauna’s (steam and dry) are poorly performing and the jacuzzi is cold with a weird dirty foam. The lounge beds had their best time and are dirty. Everywhere is mould. We left after 30’. There are better Spa’s in the area. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: Lovely playground

Negative experience: For some reason the phone lines are closed between 12 and 1PM and when I finally did get through to a receptionist they hung up the phone half way through the conversation in the middle of me asking a question.

Positive experience: did a trial session while searching for a new gym. Nice room for a little gym, a few cardio machines, a few resistance ones and a small selection of free weights. But the running machines are set to only use miles, and no glute machine. Otherwise clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Jacuzzi and steam room were both off and the sauna was at its 2 person limit so I didn't get to use that either. Showers were good, and they provide towels. Way too expensive for what it is, I guess it's mainly for hotel guests rather than paying members.

Fantastic experience: I have been several time for the massage treatments especially deep tissue massage, I do like they using hot oil during the massage, it felt relax and different. Strongly and highly recommend Holly ( Therapist) , a young ladies but I really impress her skills, the pressure is just prefect and now I always asking her if I re-booked my treatment again. Thank you and well done, Holly! You do have potential and always satisfied your services.

Positive experience: Good service from most staff members, good massage, good floatation beds. Just that one member wasn't prepared for arrival when we arrived on time and was fumbling around with our towels and robes to put them in the bag.

Negative experience: Where shall I start. This was a 60th birthday gift and I was really looking forward to it. On arrival we were made to fill in a form and then told we could use the swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, and steam room. Our treatment was an at the end of our stay. So off we went into the hot tub which was cold. I told a member of staff who said we would get someone to look at it. A young man came to check the temperature and I told him is was freezing. He took the temperature and walked away with no acknowledgement at all. So after waiting 2 . 3/4 of an hour we went for our treatment. We were then told we could have used all the facilities in the beauty area. Hot chairs, relaxation room and should have been shown round but wasn’t. The treatment was great. Finally went up for our Prosecco where we wee refused and had to explain it was part of our spa day. We then had to sit there and listen to the staff run down the management team. The swimming pool area was poorly maintained, with paint peeling off the walls and rust around the drinking fountain. Not an enjoyable day and will not be returning.

Positive experience: They have some nice treatments in the spa (massage, mud treatment, hamam, etc.) that you can book for an extra. The staff is very nice and friendly. Otherwise the basics at the spa are pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Nice and clean. View is lovely. The only thing is that the pool area could use some painting/updating from time to time.

Fantastic experience: Spent the morning at Quy Mill. We had a lovely experience at the Spa. The staff were all lovely and helpful from the receptionists to the girls giving us treatments. Enjoyed it all and i will definitely be back again. Thankyou all very much x

Positive experience: The treatments (raindrop massage and dry flotation treatment) were amazing and I would have given 5 stars.... BUT, the guys on reception seemed a bit clueless and disorganised, the spa ran out of robes, we had to remind them about the prosecco that came with the package we'd booked or wouldn't have received it, and the jacuzzi was out of order. Apparently this had been the case for weeks. It's a shame that the all round level of service doesn't meet the standard of the treatments on offer.

Positive experience: Treatments were great, and the staff lovely and helpful. Facilities were ok but pretty standard and small. Partner said the males changing/toilets were rather dirty and small, the female changing/showers/ and toilets were rather nice though. It was lacking the swimwear drier that is standard issue at most spas. Gym was small but well equipped. The treatments we had were probably some of the best treatments we have had (and we visit quite a few spas as well as being a member of our local health club/spa) the staff and therapists really are what make this place, but due to poor condition of men's changing I'd say it's definitely aimed at females rather than couples.

Fantastic experience: I bought a spa day from Groupon. Very good value. All areas very clean. Pool not too deep could stand at the deepest point- not too busy. Good jacuzzi steam room and sauna. Very nice chill out area off the pool with beds to lay on with outside views. Downstairs to the treatment area another rest area with beds to lie on and seating area separately. Lots of choice of treatments 1/2 and 1 hour sessions in individual private rooms. Lunch lovely but beware it comes across from the hotel so if your treatment runs late your food will get cold as you have to book it for a certain time. Ours was on a table and covered with a cloth.

Negative experience: I have been bought vouchers for this place. I'm getting fed up of never being able to book as the phone is either engaged or unmanned. The brochure suggests that on arrival there will be a discussion of the options available with the Enrich experience, none of which happened, then i felt embarrassed when i attempted to book an advertised treatment which wasn't available. The treatment I wanted was then unavailable because the equipment was out of service and, although we had been told when we booked that top up treatments could be arranged on the day, when we arrived we were told these were also unavailable. We were then left to work out where eveything was unassisted rather than being introduced to the facilities which felt awkward. Poor hospitality. Don't go unless you have the confidence to be bolshy without losing your relaxed state!

Positive experience: Generally quiet due to location, which is a bonus for me! Friendly staff, good facilities for a club of this size. Can't speak for the actual "Spa" facilities (Gym & Pool member), but have heard nothing but good things.

Negative experience: Couldn't get date I wanted as no one answered phone or calls back when you leave a message

Positive experience: Friendly and professional staff but the Spa area is looking tired and in need of investment and maintenance.
