Orida Health: Opinions
Negative experience: Will not accept the legs tender of cash and pretty rude about that too
Negative experience: Very bad experience, we came across this “spa” just have Sunday spa day , have paid 15 quid per person , so let’s go - lockers/without you having your own lock no luck to get lock your belongings. Showers - floor full of hair ( ladies showers have shampoo just on the floor somewhere in middle of cubicles ) Sauna - nothing in there . Steam sauna - I think they have timer on everything, steam is running on for about 3 min - then stopped for like 10 and you are in the steam room without steam . Jacuzzi- this one is funny , you will have a pleasure of 2/3 minutes running bubbles but only from 5 bottom holes ( but the one which is supposed be giving you maximum massage are completely off ) after about up to 5 min circle you will be sitting on waiting 10 for another round of 2 minutes . Pool - crowded , divided into 3 lines , you can swim on the one ☝ where you can count yourself as twelfth or 13tf / 14tf I couldn't breathe normally either during or after I’ve left because of the amount of chemicals in the water ☝and a lot places require repair and cleaning Waist of money and mood , don’t get me wrong- when you are staying in Hotel and Spa is included - then yes, for free you can go to- but when you have to pay as a couple £30 - no no no
Negative experience: Me and my partner both got a couples membership with this gym. Upon signing up we were given a months free trial ( that didn’t add up to a month but they called it a months free trial). We were told we get the ‘month’ free and at beginning of September payment will be taken for supposedly the next month and cancellation is with a months notice so either way you pay for your free trial anyway in a sense. We used the gym, pool, wellness facilities each time we visited. Altogether we attended for a week and had the most unpleasant time. The gym is tiny and minimal space. They carry out classes which 5 people easily fill the space in the gym and it makes it very unsafe. Upon joining we were told that classes were an extra charge although in the contract it states that classes come free with the membership. The gym flooring is half ripped up and the walls are moulded. The reception desk is basically in the gym and the staff make you feel uncomfortable a lot of the time by standing and staring at you. We used to use the gym then go for a swim. The pool is closed off into tiny lanes so again if you go on an overcrowded day then you have no space. The hot tub jacuzzi was out of use the whole time and looks like it has been for a while although there is a sign on it stating it’s due to be fixed but probably been there for ages. We were shocked that when my partner went to have a shower that the men’s changing room showers were out of use and ripped out. This meant he was unable to wash after the gym and the pool unless he was to use the public shower beside the pool. Even then it was down to one shower as the other one was broken. There is a disabled toilet with a shower and couple of lockers in it. These are the only lockers that work unless you bring your own padlock. Although half the time the lockers in the disabled toilets are used by the staff. It’s definitely not a nice place to workout or even use the wellness facilities. I made a complaint about these problems within the week of us being there and said I would like the membership cancelled and for no payment to be taken as was I had been advertised was not the case. I received an email back stating that the memberships would be terminated immediately and that no payments would be taken due to these issues also. I then received an email from the company that takes the money stating that the money will be taken shortly. I emailed the health club and questioned this and was told by a lady called Monika that she would be taking this to the ‘admin lady’ right now and get me taken of the list. I left this thinking this would have been resolved. I checked my bank the other day and the money had been taken. I emailed the health club again regarding this and got no reply. I emailed again and got a response. The person told me that the girl was currently off and not back until Monday therefore I’d have to wait until then to get anything resolved. This has been ongoing for a while now and is just a joke. Would not recommend joining. The whole place needs improvements.
Negative experience: The gym had mold growing & needs painting, the pool was so cloudy u bang into people, the staff where moody & rude , there was a group session in the middle of the tiny gym making it impossible to use the very out of date machines & equipment, also the jaquzee was out of service on the whole very disappointing & the steam room smelled like very blocked drains.
Positive experience: Loved the afternoon tea.pool areacreally small. Hot tub really warm loved the sauna. Chlorine in hot tab made your eyes sting
Negative experience: I'm very disappointed. The changing room of spa section is very dirty. The drains of bath cabins are full with hair. Toilets are very stinky.
Fantastic experience: Took my wife swimming here today. My wife is sadly disabled. Staff especially Monica just so kind and caring
Fantastic experience: Went to Rose Sanctuary for some pampering. Excellent service and care
Negative experience: A gift bought for me and my husband and another couple for a Spa Day and afternoon tea. Do not bother! This is absolutely not a Spa Experience. Yes, there is a pool, jacuzzi, steam, gym, but nowhere to sit and relax, no robes. The pool was packed (which is fine and depending on the time of day etc, but 1/3 was roped off for a single swimming lesson. The changing rooms were tiny and you were expected to bring your own padlock. The few digital lockers available were all in use, so had to carry bags around. Afternoon tea - coffee served in a large builders cup. The finger sandwich fillings were sparse at best and made using very cheap white bread. If I put the sandwiches in a row, there wasn't enough for 4 people. The scones were delicious and the best part of the experience. There were only 3 different types of cakes, bit only 3 of each, although there were 4 of us?? The staff were understanding, and its not the first time this issue has been brought to their attention. Advertising this as a SPA Day, is incorrect and misleading. We had access to the facilities from 11.00 until 16.00 (I believe), we stayed a total of 1 hour 40 mins, which included changing into and out of swimwear then waiting for afternoon tea to be served earlier then originally booked. To say it was disappointing is an understatement.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, compact but well-equipped gym, clean changing rooms, good-sized pool with spa facilities.
Fantastic experience: My local love it there
Fantastic experience: Recently undergone a complete revamp of the gym environment and equipment. Much improved.
Fantastic experience: The best swimming pool in Kent! The staff are very helpful, supportive and cheerful
Positive experience: Nice little health club not to busy and everything you need
Negative experience: Not a 4 star hotel - WAY OVERPRICED! No lift No Aircon Coffee machine out of order Pool out of order Jacuzzi out of order Showers out of order.... There's a theme here. Hotel is tired & run down many facilities OUT OF ORDER. Communal areas littered with rubbish.
Positive experience: Nice compact health suite and gym. Not overcrowded (at least not during the day). Generally clean - changing rooms have been refurbished recently hence still not tainted by overuse. Few small niggles such as showers in men’s changing area need updating and a few minor repairs, and showers in the pool area haven’t been working for months. Could do with a paint up . Staff are friendly though and helpful. Overall four stars.
Fantastic experience: Very nice hotel with gym, pool & spa facilities. Friendly receptionists, good ambience and located next to a boutique mall.
Positive experience: A nice place to have a swim and relax in the steam room / sauna. Could maybe do with a little updating. There is also a small gym area and very clean changing rooms. The place is small but very functional with everything you need. Worth a visit if staying in the hotel.
Fantastic experience: Great place to relax.
Fantastic experience: Loved it, had a great time there.
