Northampton Fitness & Wellbeing Gym is located on Walter Tull Way, Sixfields Leisure, Northampton, NN5 5QL. You can find us just off the A4500 at the Sixfields Stadium turn off. We're located a 6-minute drive and 32-minute walk from Northampton Station.

Fantastic experience: Good stuff with Harry. Been for a couple of sessions now and the knowledge he's shown / given me has been great!
Fantastic experience: Nuffield health is really really good. james is my favourite worker he’s really cool
Negative experience: So upset and angry. My son needed physio after an operation and we were referred to Nuffield Health through our private insurance. He had a couple of sessions with Harry and although our Insurance was paying, I wasn't happy with the service. My son would be in for 5 mins and left with an email showing which exercises to do! I cancelled all future appointments and instead took him to the Back and Body clinic where he was seen for an hour a time, his foot was massaged and exercised whilst there by a professional and he slowly started to feel the difference. I have been fighting with Nuffield Health Northampton for over 2 years now as they say I owe them £90 which my insurance won't pay as we moved my son over to another physio. I've called so many times to complain and refuse payment for lack of service by Harry and each time I'm told it sorted until I receive a letter today in post from a debt collector! Harry is lazy and did not help my son one bit. To pay £80 - £90 to be in his room for all of 5 mins is an absolute joke. NEVER USE HARRY....Go to Back and Body clinic. I left a message with Adam earlier for the GM to call me back and hopefully sort this matter out. I didn't put a review in at the time as was promised it was sorted
Fantastic experience: Gym has massively improved since the last time I used it! Love the new layout, staff are very helpful if asked, can’t fault it! Top job
Negative experience: Great gym only downfall is the pool is closed more than the roads in Northampton I pay £48 a month for use of all facilities yet the pool is constantly closed. It needs sorting out as it's not worth the £48 should be paying less considering the main steam room sauna and pool area is closed most of the time.
Negative experience: Very rude receptionist in the front desk doesn’t know how to talk to customers. Manager was very polite and dealt with the situation efficiently.Nuffield health Northampton lost today potentially 10 members who wanted to join the club after my visit. Staff needs to more trained when dealing with customers.
Negative experience: After several times that I found the shower drain clogged with a lot of hair or toilet seats not cleaned properly,I've just changed to the other shower or another toilet to avoid complaining...but after few weeks the cleaning lady told me.that I'm.not allowed to use my shower gel with coffe and my coffee scrub because it's getting dirty the shower and while I was changing she came back with a bucket and told me to clean up my shower. Now they're saying it's a policy that we can't wash with shower gel that contain coffee ..It wasn't when I signed the contract
Negative experience: Not happy after a member of staff told me about a special promotion offer I should be paid up to the first of October a couple of weeks later being charged another month for the gym now I am leaving the gym due to being lied to. As this is not acceptable and very unprofessional all they was after was for me to register I take my training very serious it's a shame that this person wasn't very serious not happy now looking for a new gym
Positive experience: Busy mon-wed evenings meaning you have to time your machine/bench switching well
Negative experience: I literally love this gym, it’s fair priced and the swimming facilities are amazing. However the staff, they are rude and think they are the in a play ground 9 times out of 10!! The personal trainers that have to man the front desk when you leave at times are just rude and think they are better than having to stand at reception. But they don’t even do that, they look you up and down and carry on making there Costa coffee like the blonde woman with short spiked hair just did. It took for me to say “see ya later have a good weekend” for her to just look up from her coffee and another personal trainer who was there with the red her to say bye have a good weekend. When swimming you can see them all playing about and messing around and laughing at the customers that they get see come and go!! Just cause you’ve lowered you’re prices Nuffield Northampton your rude and disrespectful. I can only imagine what putting this review up is going to do when I come back

Fantastic experience: Ive been a member of several gyms over the years, however all in all, Nuffield in Northampton is the best overall. There are a huge range of classes to pick from which cater for all ages, abilities and tastes (circuits, boxfit, strength, lifting, conditioning, mobility and aqua to name a few) I recently started doing classes for the first time ever and over a period of 7mths have managed to lose over 2 stone; never felt fitter. Thank you Chris, Finn, Ollie and in particular, Becky who is my Personal Trainer and helped me most in achieving my fitness goals The facilities are very good and suit all my requirements however it is the staff that make this place really stand out. The are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable which in turn attract a nice clientele, making Nuffield a great place to train and workout.
Fantastic experience: Joined this gym a couple of years ago and have had no issues whatsoever. Always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and polite. Won't look at changing gyms any time soon
Positive experience: The Nuffield gym in Northampton, is a very friendly place to work out. The classes are excellent with a vast array of different types to choose from, to suit every ability. They also offer a range of Les Mills classes which are incredible. The swimming pool and sauna area is a welcome treat after a hard work out in the gym. The staff are always friendly and professional, the PTs, are knowledgeable and always on hand to assist you if you need help. The Nuffield also offer free health checks with an action plan to help you improve your health and fitness. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Best gym I've ever been a member of! A lovely gym community of all ages and fitness levels. AMAZING timetable of classes with a huge variety to choose from. Friendly Reception staff and experienced Personal Trainers.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym with really friendly staff and great PT’s who go out of their way to help. Great selection of well run classes both during the day and outside work hours. Good range of equipment and some amazing new spin bikes.
Fantastic experience: Ignore the 1* reviews, they don’t reflect most experiences. Great sauna and steam room. Weights area could be a little bigger, but you can always get on a machine even during peak hours.
Fantastic experience: Nuffield Health Northampton Fitness & Wellbeing Gym is a truly superb Gym and Swimming Pool Venue which also offers a great range of classes both in the gym and pool. The staff at the gym are all caring, supportive, friendly and very knowledgeable about all relevant aspects of fitness, whether you're young and sporty, elderly with some medical issues or somewhere in between. I have been having personal training once or twice a week for several years from a lovely staff member, Dean Roberts, who was recently appointed to the role of Deputy Manager here. I am a rather overweight woman and with his encouragement and care I have now lost over 3 stone in weight! I cannot recommend this fabulous place too highly. I have been coming here regularly for about 5 years and it has helped me through some very dark times.
Fantastic experience: Nuffield is the best gym I've belonged too. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I work from here as well as using all facilities. Honestly wouldn't go anywhere else. They cater for all ages and abilities. I do a range of weight based classes, spin and pilates as well as gym floor. Need to get on early to book classes just have to advance book as classes are very popular due to the great instructors Becky, Simon especially. Pru is very accommodating to all members, happy and assists older client's with mobility issues upstairs and offers drinks to help out in this hot weather. I have made so many friends staff and gym goers couldn't be without the place.

Negative experience: Unfair terms and conditions with regards to terminating membership.Make it difficult on line so decided to visit to cancel membership. Seems like a months calendar notice is required and that this means cancelling in the 6th June the termination is not 6th July but 31st July Effectively you can only have a real one months notice if you cancel on the last day of the month -might be in the t&c’s but sneaky practice as in reality can be up to two months Does not seem right that you can join any day of a month and have pro-rata charge but they have different rules when you leave Has left a bad taste with regards to a facility that is ok
Negative experience: In only 4 days of going to this gym, I noticed that there are people who are hacking the treadmill and the glider. The settings change in the middle of the exercise without warning. I complained to the manager, but she said that the machines are working fine and that nobody has said this before me. I told her that hacking is a crime and you can go to prison for this, so nobody would have told her. Also, there is a macho-type environment towards females. The majority of club goers are men.
Negative experience: I wouldn't waste your money. The classes are impossible to get into, the pool isn't very big and the swimmers are quite rude had to go on the fast lane as the middle was busy, and an old woman had a go at me) it was my second time so ruined my confidence. I did call nuffield to cancel and Pru was so lovely and understanding. she did my tour originally and was great, the staff are generally lovely and really helpful. It's just such a shame about the classes and the pool.
Negative experience: Management are terrible several wrong emails given and full ignored by a manager for over a month through email finally got a issue sorted 3 months after I started and no refund was given for lost membership, which should have been over £100 if delt with when originally asked. Also being a member I noticed awful treatment of staff and from hearing they are penalised for health issues and bullied out of the company.
Positive experience: Excellent swimming pool and sauna facilities. Please improve your changing room locking facilities.

Fantastic experience: Just joined, fanatic gym, sauna, steam room, pool, jacuzzi. Ollie one of the trainer that did our induction was great , polite , welcoming, great knowledge and very very helpful. It's definitely worth joining very reasonable too , they do classes programs etc... we'll worth checking out

Positive experience: Not worth the price, with the tiny gym area and outdated equipment. Even the swimming pool appears dingy and small. Staff were friendly.
Negative experience: Spoken very rudely to by fitness manager believe name was Russell didn’t catch last name won’t be returning to this establishment sent a long email to head office about this incident very unkind
Negative experience: Small gym, facilities and equipment often broken and take long time to repair sauna etc. Just looks run down and tired not worth the £55 a month fee especially with so many better equipped gyms near by charging £15 for the month. Half the lockers do not work so spend 15 minutes getting one to work. Also when you leave they send you debt letters and make you pay an extra fee to leave. Pretty poor all round really avoid.
Negative experience: Join up last year find swimming pool and steam room ok . Not happy with cardio equipment could do with new treadmills and cross trainer. Feel bit out dated. Once my membership is up I will probably chancel it .
Fantastic experience: I am from another Nuffield club, when I entered and told the colleague manning the front desk, he took me into the gym and explained where everything was and the type of lockers used at the club. Was very impressed, this is the first Nuffield that has done this after I’ve told them I’m from another club. Excellent customer service. Thanks guys
Negative experience: I joined up to this gym not long ago as it's close to where I live and I'm fixed in for a year. I really wish I hadn't. I thought I'd be ok with the Nuffield brand, but it's quite disappointing. Both the gym and the pool are quite small, and whilst the staff are civil, they don't go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The whole place is very outdated which makes it feel a little grimy. Also, the gym is supposed to be open until 10pm but half an hour before closing they come round and start switching all the treadmills and equipment off, and it feels like you can't ask them to leave certain things on so that you can finish your workout. Just say the gym closes at 930, otherwise it feels like false advertising. I'm locked in for a year now, but once that's up I'll be going elsewhere, most likely back to my old gym, which is further away but much more user friendly. Very expensive for what it is.

Positive experience: Visited the gym and Steam room. Wasn't bad, the gym was seriously lacking facilities so had to compromise abit. The steam room was very good, everything fine there, as with the showers and lockers. Just the lack of facilities for me is why I couldn't give anything more than 3 stars.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved it for two days training, lots of space some awesome machines lacks a little bit of a vibe tho maybe a better choice of music . Maybe I'm just too used to mine back home keep up the good work guys and girls x
Negative experience: Used to be a great team working there, but recently some managers have let things really slip. Recently got locked in the gym at night, had to get out via fure door. Told the manager in car park and he couldn't have been more nonchalant about it ro the point of being really rude. Intend to make a formal complaint, as letting down what was omce a great gym and some of the good staff that are left who still attempt to make you feel very welcome.
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Equipment a bit dated but due an upgrade next year. Big gym so no need to wait for any equipment. Lovely clean showers and changing room.

Fantastic experience: Good clean gym, lots of different machines, free weights, classes all good. Swimming pool is good too, though can get busy at peak times. It's kept clean, the staff are all friendly. Very good value compared to the other gyms around as well. I was a member for a year, after my contract was up I cancelled because I had access to another gym for free, cancellation was easy and no hassle. Will probably rejoin here soon.
Positive experience: Nice clean centre. Staff are brilliant. But the weights section is out of date. No proper facilities for muscle development such as T-Bar, Pec Extension, Back extension, no plate loading machines etc. The benches are old and torn Centre good for cardio and classes
