Fantastic experience: Myself and my husband have been members since December of last year. We love attending the spin classes ,HIT training and Boxercise sessions,all the instructors are professional and helpful and cater for all abilities and ages. The gym is well resourced and has a wide range of equipment.The pool is always lovely and warm and the steam room is wonderful. All other members of staff ( not forgetting the cleaners who are lovely)are always helpful and friendly and can’t do enough for you. It’s a wonderful community gym and is excellent value for money.

Fantastic experience: Rejoined Everlast back in 2023. Love attending Michelle’s box fit classes and also using the main gym floor. Huge variety of classes available.

Fantastic experience: I go to Everlast for the classes which are excellent Michelle our instructor is so lovely and keeps us motivated . All the staff are friendly and work hard . The gym and the changing rooms are being improved so all good. I have been attending Everlast for the last 9 years and love my classes. It’s nice that the pool is there if I choose to have a swim . I would recommend this gym if it fits into your lifestyle.

Positive experience: I love coming to Everlast Gym Leigh. The classes are great and really good fun. On average I attend at least 4-5 classes per week. The staff on the front desk are always polite and helpful. Member for quite a few years

Fantastic experience: Attended Michelle’s Dance Fit class today, loved it! All the gym equipment is fixed so the club are really listening to the members feedback. Great local gym with lots of classes to attend & a pool which I use every week.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Gym, all upstairs kit has been repaired, fully operational. Spin classes are the best, Jodie pushes you hard, but it’s fun and energetic.

Fantastic experience: This gym is awesome! It's always spotless, the equipment is great, and the staff are really friendly. The pool is honestly the cleanest I've ever seen, and the steam room is so hot—perfect. Definitely a 10/10, highly recommend it!

Negative experience: They screw you when you want to cancel and over charge you.

Negative experience: One of the worst gyms I have ever been too - nothing ever works, equipment often broken and not enough of it. That being said staff and lovely and friendly and the classes are good but the gym itself is very poor

Fantastic experience: Jodi the instructor who teaches Yoga and Pilates there is fabulous.

Negative experience: I have been a member of this gym for 3 years before I couldn't tolerate the situation anymore and left. Not enough equipment, racks or weights. One bench, two racks for the whole gym. People sometimes elbow each other out of the way to get access. No gym etiquette is observed. People are allowed to train in their dirty work clothes when there are changing facilities and showers. The cleanliness of the place leaves something to be desired.

Negative experience: Only use the pool, a must are sliders as the floors are dirty. The showers need a deep clean. I did complain but nothing improved. The plus point is the opening times and you don't need to book to swim. Please give the showers a deep clean.

Negative experience: Considering the company name and size this gym is not worth the money. Equipment constantly out of order and for months at a time. Equipment is ok and basic at best. 3 Stair climbers have been out of action for over 6 months and still aren’t working. Leg press broken 2/3 months , running machines and exercise bikes out of order. Cable machines out of order. The gym is usable and pool is ok but if you are looking to train and use equipment instead of free weights I would look elsewhere. Staff at best are ok but seem unmotivated and uninterested.

Positive experience: Good gym but a lot of room for improvement. First of all the gym is located in a good area on the retail park, never any issues for parking. The gym itself is a good size, spacious with lots of equipment to have a good session - good range of dumbbells and machines. However, having been here now for almost 18 months it is lacking in some areas. Since starting here I’ve never seen of any new weight equipment arriving at the gym. Some common things to find in most gyms are flat-plated bench presses, lateral raise machines and fly machines. This gym doesn’t have any of these so is lacking compared to other gyms. I find the best gyms are constantly looking for ways to improve with new equipment changes. Furthermore it seems when equipment is in need of repair, it either NEVER gets repaired or replaced with more of the same. The plated leg press has been out of commission for over 3 months, out of service cardio equipment hasn’t been repaired and replaced with more treadmills instead. To improve I think they should really prioritise maintenance of the equipment AND look to bring new equipment. The pool and steam room make it value for money for me as they aren’t things you have in every gym, and is probably the reason I’ve stayed at this gym so long. The other facilities ie showers are good, but again like the gym equipment things don’t seem to get fixed or replaced quickly like the broken hairdryer in the men’s changing room. Toilets, at least in the men’s could also really do with upkeep cleaning maintenance as well. The gym offers a good range of protein snacks, meals, drinks etc as well as merchandise/clothes and a nice lounge area in reception, so overall it is a good gym but I really wish they would to improve more.

Fantastic experience: All the negative post from one timers who haven’t spent more than a couple days at this gym before retiring to there sofas again absolute madness how people can be angry at the gym for there own downfalls. Anyway, great gym, great staff. Decent size pool can’t fault the gym area steam rooms top notch now it’s had a new heater.

Negative experience: Great Staff. The issue lies with the corporation that runs the gym. Broken machines don't get fixed/replaced for months at a time or get removed completely. This can really screw up workout routines. Lack of certain machines means having to change your routine. 20-30% of machines are either broken or needing maintenance.

Negative experience: Security in this location is very poor (very poor with emphasis). I forgot my Nike slippers in the gym with the hope that I will get it back the following day, got in and was told it wasn’t seen and there is only one cctv camera looking at the VERY LARGE gym premises. The gym coordinator was very unbothered about helping to retrieve it and said there was only one camera, which is looking at only one section of a big gym area. This shows security in a public gym as everlast is not guaranteed. The body language of the coordinator to assist in searching was also very poor, as he said he wasn’t sure it would be retrieved without even making an initial effort at looking into the camera. This makes me wonder, what if anything happens to me while I workout, will there even be a footage to recall how it happened??

Negative experience: So many machines out of order all the time and take months to get fixed! One really rude staff member always on reception who refuses to help when asked a question

Fantastic experience: One of the best everlast gyms in Manchester and it really does stand out as a well looked after gym - I’ll be returning on my next visit to Manchester when I’m not at home in Kent !! :)

Negative experience: Nothing open, hot tubs both closed and pool too. Not good enough

Negative experience: Everlast has completely destroyed ski lift machines with no protection or covers, bare metal for training and there is no cap so that blood came out of my finger many times

Negative experience: I asked to pay only one month and they have taken money out my account this month after me specifically saying “I would only like to play for one month” this issue will be sorted out immediately and I WILL be getting my money back. Half the machines didn’t even work anyway.

Negative experience: I feel like every visit something else is out of order. Out of about 12 treadmills there about 5/6 not working. (And have not been working for a while now) Leg press now out of order for last two weeks. Please can we get some investment put into our gym and fix the equipment quickly. Or let’s reduce our memberships whilst things are out of order. Ps - staff are great!

Negative experience: Dirty changing rooms Gym equipment that needs replacing Very unhelpful & moody female staff

Positive experience: Doesn't seem looked after, dirty if anything.

Negative experience: It's really sad to see how this place has deteriorated over time. Hot tubs removed (after years of being out of order) because, according to the front desk staff, 'It's not a service we offer anymore'. The gym equipment is dated looking and most of the TV screens have now been removed or simply don't work. The only decent feature is the pool.

Negative experience: This gym is an absolute joke I joined and when I had 2 weeks off work on the first week I was able to use some of the working equipment during the day the following week I was on holiday when I returned to work I went the to gym at the time I would usually be using the gym to find people queuing up for machines the changing rooms are a disgrace and the steam room has mold between the tiles I have expressed to them that I wish to leave the gym and as it’s been 17 days after I joined there now forcing me to pay for a full years membership to a gym that is by far the worst I’ve ever been to please do not use this gym it’s absolutely shocking

Negative experience: The two hot tubs (whirlpools) were working for only a week since I joined, then both got shut down and kept like that for almost a year. They shut the pool area down last week NOT to fix them but to cover them up with some decking ….. I understand that is April 1st today but on it’s own website it says they open at 6am….. well…. Joke is obviously on me as I’m sat outside at 6:20 and everything is shut.

Negative experience: Sadly, despite being the only decent local gym in Leigh, my experience here has been consistently disappointing. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired, with grime accumulating in corners and equipment looking visibly dirty. Moreover, the maintenance of the gym equipment is severely lacking, with machines frequently out of order or malfunctioning. It's frustrating to pay for a membership only to encounter broken equipment time and time again. Overall, I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a clean and functional fitness environment.

Negative experience: Equipment is old and knackered. Was hit in the face with faulty bit of kit glasses were broken and staff/management not even bothered. No one from head office even checked up to see if I was ok. Was told I would be compensated for my broken glasses which hasn’t happened. If I wasn’t tied in to a contract with them I would have left. Terrible gym.

Fantastic experience: Private pool which suits me more than gym equipment

Negative experience: The cleanliness is great and the staff are friendly but unfortunately there is not enough equipment. There is plenty of space for more and you always struggle to get on what you want.

Positive experience: Joined back recently and the gym has has a decent clean up pool and steam room area is alot better than it was shame the spas are being taken out tho

Negative experience: Gone downhill since Everlast took it over from DW. Obviously they see it as just a cash cow now without investing in it. Did a paint job when took over and replaced equipment with a fair amount of inferior machines in my opinion. At least one of the cable machines is usually broke, one bike has been broke for ages, making knocking sounds when peddling, usually one treadmill that won't work. Calf raise machine was broke every other week. It's now been taken away with no replacement. Hip thrust machine has been broke for months. Both jacuzzis in the pool area have not been working for over a year and are not going to be fixed or turned on again I believe. There is now no and for the past 2 weeks been no music on the gym floor as the system is broke. I believe the cost of my membership should be reduced significantly, or a proper firm should take it over and redo from top to bottom.

Negative experience: I recently visited the Everlast gym in Leigh, and my experience was extremely disappointing. The gym was unkempt and poorly maintained, with broken machines scattered throughout the facility. Dust and empty plastic bottles littered the floor, giving the impression of neglect. Additionally, the layout of the gym was poorly planned, with machines placed too close together, making it difficult to navigate and work out comfortably. It was evident that cleanliness was not a priority, as there was no blue roll available for machine cleaning after use, and many machines had been out of order for a considerable amount of time. The lack of basic amenities such as toilet paper and hand wash soap in the restroom further highlighted the disregard for hygiene and customer satisfaction. Overall, my experience at Everlast gym in Leigh was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and well-maintained fitness facility.

Negative experience: The staff are lovely, however a lot of the equipment in the gym doesn't work: -the ski-erg -the assault bike -the curved treadmill And many other items. There is only 1 of each of the equipment above at the gym, so essentially the gym has none of the above equipment. I appreciate that equipment will stop working from time to time, however these have been out of order for nearly 12 months. I emailed head office regarding the issue, and they weren't bothered at all.

Negative experience: Stay away from the steam room it’s very dirty, they don’t clean proper, fully of empty plastic bottles. The shower rooms are in bad conditions even I don’t wanna talk about the toilets disgusting

Negative experience: The steam room is disgusting, I doubt that it was ever cleaned. There are black marks on the seating because of the dirt. The jacuzzi is not working since ages, the one that I have ever seen working. The other one never worked. Also, I got a mild ear infection after using the pool. How often do you clean the steam room and the pool? When will both jacuzzis be up and running? It is in a convenient location with free parking. I believe, after refurbishing the whole thing, it could be a popular and great gym.

Fantastic experience: Just started this gym. (Just started gym propper) And it's awesome, everything you need and some. The only let down is the 2 Jacuzzis that don't work... Hopefully they getting a revamp this year Other than that Mint Gym.

Positive experience: The closed earlier that the website said on Sunday Not enough machines for leg workouts I wanted to cancel subscription because I can't continue going because I'm busy they are forcing me to pay all year

Negative experience: Estou a 6 meses pagando desde o primeiro mês querendo cancelar pois está muito fora de mão pra mim, e não consigo já mandei diversos e-mails é só falam que fiz contrato de 12 meses, e se eu congelar não vai contar como uso pra acabar o contrato, ou seja eles querem que eu continue pagando sem usar, minhas amigas com 5 meses conseguiram cancelar e comigo essa falta de respeito!

Negative experience: Gone downhill since joining won't be renewing for next year

Negative experience: I made the error of not cancelling the direct debit at my bank. As such even though I had cancelled my membership weeks beforehand, Everlast Gym Leigh still took an extra month’s payment. They have refused to pay the money back and now I’m ghosted.

Negative experience: Everlast Leigh are only interested in your money. I cancelled me and my partners membership due to our disappointment with the pool facilities. And they are claiming that we are in contract which we aren't as we cancelled. We signed no contract.

Fantastic experience: Join up a month ago and it been good. Need abit of an update but that happening soon we been told. There a swimming pool, weight for advanced and beginners. I'm a beginner so they suite both needs. Bikes, treadmill. All good.

Negative experience: The manager at the desk has the worst attitude ever. I am a member and have been in 2 years but the way the young manager spoke to me today was totally out of order. I shall be leaving this gym unless I get a apology of the manager.

Positive experience: Good gym but machines takes ages to repair and the showers and steam room looks like they need maintenance. Great classes.

Positive experience: Can gym, swim, jacuzzi and steam under one roof. Could do with an update, some or the kit is looking tired but they have said there is one in the pipe line.

Negative experience: Update - Nice gym, decent equipment however both hot tubs have been offline one for over 12 months the other around 3 doubt they will get fixed. Equipment takes an age to be sorted calf machine been out of order for over a month. Also the pool is more like a leisure centre than a gym pool with children splashing around and diving into the pool - nightmare at weekends now

Negative experience: Signed me up for 12 months over the phone when i asked for rolling contract. Tried to cancel and they would not let me. Now stuck in a contract, do NOT join this gym or any EVERLAST gym because they make it VERY difficult to get out of contract even if your term is up. Read reviews from people they are an awful excuse for a company.

Fantastic experience: Love some of the classes Michelle is absolutely brilliant, definitely gets you working harder, fight club & dance fit. Would highly recommend her classes.
