Negative experience: Absolutely Shocking - A Health & Safety Risk That Needs Immediate Attention! Anytime Fitness Fleet is, without a doubt, one of the worst-managed gyms I’ve ever encountered. It’s not just poor service, it’s a genuine health and safety risk that needs immediate attention from the appropriate authorities. To start, the gym floor is an accident waiting to happen. The so-called "cleaning" is non-existent. Equipment is left filthy, dust accumulates in corners, and basic hygiene standards are clearly being ignored. The cleaner must be getting paid to do nothing because the state of the gym speaks for itself. The heating is consistently left on at 30 degrees, making it unbearable to work out safely. Despite countless requests to turn it down, staff either ignore you or shrug it off. It’s not only uncomfortable but also dangerous for anyone engaging in intense exercise. Speaking of staff, the management is invisible. The manager is never seen, always hiding in the office instead of addressing issues on the gym floor. Personal trainers, dressed in uniform, are often seen demonstrating exercises with incorrect technique, setting a terrible example for members and increasing the risk of injury. It’s clear this gym is being run with zero regard for member welfare. Frankly, it needs shutting down and a full inspection from a Health and Safety Officer. If you value your health, safety, and money, avoid this place at all costs.

Negative experience: Do not sign up here. This is an outfit and what they are doing is illegal. I have been here for 3 years, they overcharged £45 a month for the fleet membership. I asked to cancel this back in August, they said they would give me October free, I came back explaining no I would like to cancel this. I have email receipts from August I then paid for the extra month and cancelled my direct debit as I knew they would charge me regardless and I paid a month extra as they told me I needed to do. (I haven’t used the gym since I asked to cancel back in August) It is now December. I have called up at least 9 times and emailed many times since - They told me 3 weeks ago it has been cancelled and to ignore any further texts and emails. It clearly hasn’t been cancelled I am getting harassed every other day informing me I am in arrears and now I have a late payment fee. I have called several more times I am sick of having to call back when nothing happens. Just cancel my membership? I am simply being ignored. I am not paying any fees or anything as they informed me not to worry everything has been cancelled. I would not recommend this gym to any users as they do not let you free. They also go out and try recruit as many people as possible to join the gym so they get commission. This means if you go to the gym any time between 3pm and 9pm you can’t get on any machines as it is so busy. Very disappointed, if they do not cancel my membership I’ll be seeking legal advice from my employer with my evidence.

Negative experience: Numerous emails and un returned phone calls… I have an outstanding issue that’s not been dealt with! I have even spoken to a different branch now to seek guidance on how to get this sorted!! Awful customer service!!

Negative experience: Quite unfortunate really that there is no option for zero stars. However, we will press ahead with one star. First off - Gym is a bit of a dive, but let’s leave that one there. Main review is around the capabilities of the manager & to some extent the staff as they rarely pick up the phone. Simply put, the manager is useless - he will not respond to emails and is really quite rude. Find it quite amusing that he moans about the tidiness of the gym which I agree putting weights away is a simple task, yet he can’t even respond to the simple tasking of replying to emails despite being chased numerous times. Is this not the main part of his job?!! If you’re looking to cancel your membership expect a painful process. However, my best advice is go to another one in fleet as there’s a few good ones or one around the area. The club is clearly struggling with new gyms having recently opened. Ps I don’t think the owner is much better which might semi explain the managers inadequate skills.

Negative experience: I am actually not even from the area but I was signed up over the phone being told that they could sign me up for the anytime fitness in my area, turns out they couldn't so I don't know why I was told that and they took my details and charged me 2 months for it until I could successfully get myself removed as their member, I have been due a refund since last JUNE! And still nothing - I've had multiple calls and emails saying I will get it and seems as if it's being ignored. They've taken money from me and my young baby and refuse to give it back.
Positive experience: Decent gym but because of numbers of people training there they could really do with more lat pull down machines. Also some members lack gym etiquette, not putting weights back upon Finnishing their sets, maybe mum and dad still tidy up after them!!.
Positive experience: Good value for money with a NY deal - but music is FAR too loud !! Can't hear any of my own running music or podcasts over the grime they play - which not everyone enjoys, me least of all! Makes focusing hard as my music helps me to workout.
Negative experience: i called on the phone and i asked the guy if i could have a free one time trial session as they also advertise in their site, he was really polite and said ofcourse. 1 day later that i reached the place , he told me i had to pay to enter for 1 day session . I paid only not to lose the workout of the day ..... Gym is well nothing wow nothing too bad average, not way too crowded as well . But from Customer service point of view ill visit another gym since free 1 time trial was a lie.
Fantastic experience: Pretty decent, active gym and nice staff. Had a few chats with a lad called Dan, real friendly bloke and gave me some great pointers for optimising my workout routine. Top stuff!
Fantastic experience: Signed up - and met Dan & Will. Both are highly motivated and friendly. The gym is a bit dark but there are apparently plans to change this soon. Friendly environment. Lots of equipment. Competitive price for the area too. Only thing is it doesn't have a pool but I can't swim anyway!
Negative experience: Had a good experience with this gym for a year, however, I handed my notice in over a month in advance to terminate my 12 month contract as I was moving. The invoicing team took two further monthly payments out of my account despite me terminating my contract. It took me a few months of calling every few days to get my money back.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff. The Hart shopping centre is dead but the gym is busy and vibrant. Lighting is a bit dark, but with the right preworkout you'll feel like Batman on the bench. Recommend.
Negative experience: They do not cancel your membership even with multiple emails and calls requesting this after they say they will. And they rarely pick up the phone anyway so you can’t even chase it up

Negative experience: very bad management, seriously have a problem with refunding money. hard to get in contact with to resolve membership issues like cancelling, getting refunds back but they are so fast to take your money. dont recomment at all.

Negative experience: Gym needs a new re-up. Equipment is getting old, lighting is off, cleaner water stations needed. Wouldnt recommend to join the gym if you are serious about fitness as lack of equipment is letting down.
Negative experience: The place becomes a hot mess when the actual trainers left, no one on floor to organise or empty the bins or even talk to you to see if you need assistance, but they’re in office on their phones !! Bring Back the old staff otherwise many will be leaving . ACT if you care or have passion for the job which I doubt !

Fantastic experience: Highly recomend this gym got some great equioment and the quantity of equipment will blow your mind its fully packed out with everything u need and some of them multiples lol Me and my m8 will be visiting again thats for sure
Negative experience: Beware paid £350 for a block of PT sessions ripped off by josh palfrey....never got them or my money back. Also note each gym is a franchise any issues head office direct you back so nothing gets sorted and your stuffed.....could have easily avoided civil legal action.

Negative experience: Due to surgery I froze my membership with anytime which was fine. At the start of the following month I was charged. I sent them an email informing them to which they apologised and assured me that I would be refunded. However, the following month I was charged again. They promised a full refund within a few months, however many months have passed and they are ignoring my emails requesting updates. I fret I may have to take this further. It’s a shame because I enjoyed my time training at this gym and the staff were always nice. Having said that the admin side of things are pretty hopeless. Would not recommend getting in contract with these guys.
Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym before AF took over and I can safely say that this is the best gym in fleet when it comes to value for money (free parking in central fleet just 1 example). They offer plenty of value, especially when you consider the next best gym is the new and expensive Everyone Active. The team are very friendly and will always help you out out! Recommend this gym highly
Negative experience: Signed me up for a 12 month contract without telling me and wouldn't let me cancel. Waited until the contract was over and got a cancellation confirmation email, since this theyve taken 2 further payments out so cancelled my direct debit and received a threatening email saying if i dont re instate it ill be in arrears so Apperently signed up for a lifetime contract and ive only been to the gym a total of two times!

Negative experience: Outraged! I tried to cancel my membership as personal difficulties came in the way as well as the very intimidating environment of the gym and they were nothing but rude to me! They started having a go at me telling me I can’t cancel due to a contract which wasn’t mentioned when I was pressured into signing up in the first place. I do not feel safe in this gym as a woman nor do I feel safe around the management anymore. They mentioned how they would “sue” me if I tried to cancel my membership. Appalling!

Negative experience: Appalled, following a request to message them via trust pilot and having reached out by email, letter and social media, I have been completely ignored. There's am error in their system that says I am under 12 month membership. 1) I was told it was rolling contract and to give 30 days notice to cancel, which I did in November 2020.... miss sold. They did not cancel it, instead they froze it again 2) my membership began 25th October 2019 how am I still under 12 months... there's an error that says it began 17/08/20. I have bank statements which show initial payments and the monthly starting in Oct 2019. They refuse to cancel it despite being very much in the wrong on their part. Now they are chasing me for more money... this is so wrong and detrimental to my already fragile mental health. Complete lack of care and customer service. I need this cancelled with no more delay tactics. On sign up (should have been red flags really) nothing was given to me except a fob that has never worked, they got me to sign stuff digitally... nothing was posted or emailed... except orientation emails.. I still haven't had this as they cancelled it every time I booked it. I expect a response to my complaint within a reasonable amount of time. I have been patient. I have sent a copy of the complaint letters I have sent via recorded/tracked mail. Side note... they were forced to close by government mandate... it should not increase the length of my membership,it was not my choice to freeze anything... I am a shielder (vulnerable) . I requested cancellation in November 2020 due to pregnancy. instead they froze it again. I was not told then I was in contract still... it feels like they are trying to recoup money from customers and not letting them cancel claiming still under 12 months when they are not. Does any of this seem right to you? There is an element of miss selling contracts as rolling contracts with 30 days notice and a system error I really hope they sort it soon. Cant take much more of this stress
Positive experience: The gym itself is good. Plenty of weight machines, but wish there were more classes outside 9-5. Female toilets are a bit grim... never really feel properly clean.

Fantastic experience: I booked a lane for swimming. Only 5 people in the pool and 3 in the changing room. Cleaners very obvious in all areas.

Fantastic experience: I've been lucky enough to see a number of Anytime Fitness clubs up and down the country; usually they are deceptively large, well maintained facilities. Fleet was the last place I'd expect one to do well - but without doubt this is now the best commercial gym in Fleet. I gave online feedback to the club about the minor issues I was experiencing and within 3 weeks they have largely resolved my complaints, not an easy feat. As others have stated in previous reviews, memberships are very expensive - but you should factor into the value-for-money calculation that you can use any other Anytime Fitness worldwide. The next best competitor in town, Everyone Active's Hart Leisure Centre, literally has half the gym floor space, just two old beat up squat racks and rather hilariously, a punch bag you are not allowed to punch.. Make the right choice.

Fantastic experience: A bit more expensive than competing Gyms in the area. However the staff and equipment are top notch and always available. I've had no issues with other members. The 24/7 and free parking aspects are also nice.

Negative experience: A real review for Anytime Fitness. Check out all the others, one contribution each. Check my contributions. I signed a contract with this company. A change in job and circumstances and a long commute means I'm no longer able to use the gym. I'm told these reasons are not good enough as there is a gym near my place of work apparently. One Id also not have time to use. I can't afford to pay for something I can't use I asked to leave, and and now threatening me with penalties and additional costs. Join this gym, you might as well pay the £400 quid up front as practically its the only way they'll release you. Even Virgin Media aren't this bad.
Hi Jake, as the club did mention to you we do have clauses in our agreements whereby you can cancel inside your commitment period for reasons such as relocation, where there is not an Anytime Fitness club you can use, injury or illness meaning you are no longer use the facilities or redundancy and therefore affordability being an issue. All of which we do require a supporting document for members still inside their commitment periods. Your wish to cancel does not comply with our terms and conditions There are two clubs available for you to use 24/7. One near your home and one near your work. Your initial request to cancel mentioned a fully equipped gym four doors down from your new place of work. Although this might be more convenient For you it’s not a reason we can terminate a membership within the initial 12 months.
Fantastic experience: I have never really been a keen gym person to be honest but having joined Anytime Fitness a couple of weeks ago I can honestly say that I am not only coming round to being a member of a gym but very impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff are. Fantastic experience: Love it . I've been with the gym in Fleet since it opened and i cant find a fault with it . the machines are great and they constantly bring new ones ,you have plenty of space and wights to do your thing . Plenty of classes going on during the day and the staff are good and helpful if you are in need of PT a program or nutrition advice they are there for you . If your looking for a new hobby or change of life stile this gym will help you a ton !!!!
