JD Gyms Bradford

Positive experience: Personally I have had no issues so far. I love the sauna it's so toasty and very much warm, the red light looks cool. The toilet cleaners are doing a good job cos it smells like a spa every time I do go. It is packed sometimes but the days it's not packed is incredible, I was never hanging around waiting for a machine as there was always atleast one available and then you have to eye up what machine you're using next and dash to it (women's upstairs), the classes are good. Sometimes there is no parking but then everyone else just kind of parks nearby and cheats. It was only £10 for the first month and I do wanna cancel it after one month so let's see how that process goes. I think the male experience is different

Negative experience: Very crowded. Most of the time you will see more people than the facilities. And you have to give at least 2 months notice to cancel your membership.

Negative experience: Been ringing the Foster Square gym for days but they just wont answer the phone at all!

Negative experience: There should be a limit for the amount of people that can join. It is literally so busy all the time you can never get anything done properly without waiting in a que for a machine. On top of that no one cares about any of the equipment. It’s like cattle in a pen.

Positive experience: The ladies changing room is always clean and tidy, the showers are often left in bit of a state by customers. There's a good number of excercise equipment in the ladies section, always working.

Negative experience: I've had a really frustrating experience with this gym. They’re terrible at replying to customer inquiries—there’s honestly no point in having an email address if they’re not going to respond. I’ve tried to cancel my membership twice now and still haven’t heard anything back. Very disappointing customer service

Negative experience: JD Gyms is always a mess – weights are left everywhere, and staff don’t enforce any rules. The sauna is a major letdown, as it barely gets hot and is inconsistent at best. Worst of all, I emailed my concerns to the staff, and no one responded. Totally unprofessional. Avoid if you’re looking for a well-maintained gym. Is there any point in replying with canned replies to reviews if you don't even respond to member emails?

Negative experience: I have been to hundreds of gyms and my god this has to be the worse. Groups of people training together, various groups being boisterous and posing in mirrors. Most of the cardio machine being used and to be honest every part of the gym was hurrendous. This could do with being controlled and monitored. Gym, defaintly more like a wanna be big boy playground.

Negative experience: Dirty hygiene sort yourselves out come on showers and machines always broken Sauna is a pit of disease please avoid if you care about your health

Negative experience: Standing outside for literally 10-12 minutes waiting for the member of staff to let me in, since QR code wasn't working. Not enough staff to deal with enquiries (wasn't even that busy).

Fantastic experience: I love this Gym,I know some people complain about that place. But for me im so happy

Negative experience: The gym itself wasn’t the worst I’ve been to. I’ve never been to a gym where the clientele have so little respect for the equipment. At one point I think 75 percent of the dumbbells were sat in the middle of the floor in the free weights area. There were gym plates strewn all over the place. It’s not hard to use a weight and put it back in the rack. I got my workout in but was shocked that staff weren’t encouraging better behaviour or actively setting a better example. Tbf I only saw one member of staff and that clean up would’ve been a difficult job for one man.

Negative experience: Bradford branch - 1 stair master machine in the ladies section and 5 cross trainers (which are barely used). Would make sense to have another stair master if not a couple more. Only 5 treadmills too and at least one 1 is nearly always out of use

Negative experience: I have a universal JD Gym membership, which allows me to use branches across the UK, but the Bradford branch is by far the worst gym I’ve ever visited. Despite being one of the busiest locations, it is absolutely unhygienic and poorly managed. Hygiene Issues: The toilets are consistently in a disgusting state, whether you visit early in the morning or late in the evening. They’re never properly cleaned, and the smell is unbearable. It’s unacceptable for a gym that gets so much foot traffic. Broken Equipment: Many machines are out of order, and they remain broken for extended periods. It’s incredibly frustrating to see this happen repeatedly, especially in such a busy branch. Staff Attitude: The staff here have an unprofessional and unapproachable attitude. They don’t seem to care about member concerns or the general upkeep of the gym. Management Issues: The lack of accountability and action from the management team is shocking. For such a high-revenue branch, how does it still have these persistent issues? How are they even passing audits with this level of neglect? JD Gym is making substantial money, and Bradford is one of their busiest branches. Yet, it remains the most unhygienic and poorly managed gym I’ve encountered. It’s disappointing that the area manager has failed to address these problems or ensure better standards. If this review reaches higher management, I urge you to take immediate action to improve the hygiene, fix the equipment promptly, and train the staff to provide a more professional and welcoming experience. Members deserve better, especially considering how much we pay for this service.

Negative experience: Rowing machines needs fixing. Standards have gradually dropped and problems have not been rectified for several weeks. Get Santa to fix it before Xmas day

Personal trainners need to sort people.issuse out especially when being stalked in the gym they dont do nothing about as ignoring customers complaints which personally they don't care about woman respect and rights what the point of point being a personal trainers when they don't know how to do the job right worst gym in Bradford would not recommend staff are rude and disgusting. Positive experience: This gym is relatively well equipped conveniently located. Great stretching space, could use some more space/deadlift platforms for free weights. The changing rooms are kept as clean as they can reasonably be, but there is often an odd smell. The old easyGym's changing rooms had broken toilets, mouldy ceilings and the same clientele yet no smell, very strange. Sauna perhaps? Things that aren't nailed down tend to randomly disappear and reappear on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes there are enough barbells for all the benches and racks, sometimes not. Attachments for the cables, cuffs for the bars, kettlebells, boxes, etc. I've been using this gym 3 times a week for nearly 2 years, and 1 single time, I saw a tricep bar. Where did it come from? Where did it go? Nobody knows. Overall, I'm not aware of any better options for the price I'm paying.

Negative experience: Stay away from this gym if you don't want to catch some disease from the changing areas and shower areas, dirtiest gym you can go to believe me ... no cleaning standards at all ,no cleaners all day only evening so you can imagine how the gym and shover areas looks like i have pictures in my phone, this gym should be closed down by trade and standard until they get new management that starts looking aftter the areas and standards. Wake up JD Gyms your cleaners need to be cleaning shower and changing areas every 1 hour.

Negative experience: Isn't even a question!! The WORST gym I have ever been too. I travel the world and have never been to a gym managed so badly. The equipment is horrible and looks like it was borrowed from a third world country. The entire place smells foul! The changing/locker room smells like Diarrhea and death in a mixing bowl and baked st 500. It's overly crowded, which technically isn't their fault. How is it legally aloud to stay open. It is never ever cleaned. There are lockers in the changing room that are full of trash that hasn't been moved. Equipment not cleaned and nothing for the gym goers to clean with. Equipment seems to be repaired (when repeaired) to the bare minimum. Meaning just to get by. I would never sit on the floor in fear of catching some incurable disease. I thought the reputation of JD gyms were superb. I feel like this gym loves all the bad reviews because it seems like there are a lot and for a while. I really really wish I could go to a different gym but already paid for the membership.

Positive experience: pretty good I go at very late hours 10 pm - 2am friendly ppl and lots of space

Fantastic experience: Only negative thing about this place is the car parking restricted to 2 hours or 3 hours if u log your car in.. Everything else is fine

Negative experience: I have been a member at other JD Gyms with no problems but this gym has got to be the worst one I've ever been to. The maintenance, management, gym etiquette and general hygiene are appalling. This place has alot of potential but the members and management are really letting this place down. I thought I was the only one but after reading all the negative reviews about this place, I feel there are genuine problems that need to be addressed by possibly more senior management because local management don't seem to care much about the negative reviews.

Negative experience: This gym is appaling. Equipment is always out of order and takes ages to repair. Gym etiquette is very poor with Weights and equipment are all over the place. The changing rooms, showers and sauna are disgusting. No one follows the rules and management does not enforce the rules. JD Gyms regional management needs to get involved to sort this place out because local management doesn't seem to be doing anything about all the negative reviews this place has got.

Negative experience: Thought I'd try this gym been here 5 months but anything you report never gets fixed right away it's like they take years but when it comes to taking your money they don't hesitate to take that the cleanliness is very poor smells so bad the shower room stinks so bad discusting poor level of hygiene sorry but had to cancel my membership id rather pay elsewhere wher its clean and gd atmosphere hope you can improve it for your loyal customers that are still with you

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking how the standards have dropped here since it first opened. Firstly many machines are out of order or missing parts to operate. The sauna absolutely smells foul with most people wearing underwear and no signs anywhere to tell them otherwise. The men’s changing room is unbelievably dirty and looks like it’s maybe cleaned once a week. Most lockers are occupied without a lock on which means you needlessly walk round opening lockers which are in use. There is no soap in the toilets most of the time. I’m seriously considering leaving if I don’t see an improvement soon. The only thing keeping me here are Mos classes which are really good. The management needs to show some attention to the above issues.

Negative experience: If I could do, I would give this gym a zero because this is a shocking gym. To begin with it’s the most disgusting and smelliest gym I’ve ever had the displeasure of visiting. To park there is a farce, if you forget to put in your number plate, you could get a parking ticket. The staff are unhelpful and hardly visible, it’s so busy that you can hardly get a go on any of the equipment. The equipment is so so bad, bits missing of equipment like the weight pins to adjust the weight limit, ripped or damaged equipment. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. What a disgusting experience

Fantastic experience: The gym was very well equipped and had lots of activities. A tip if you want to have some alone time try going around 11pm

Negative experience: I’ve been a member since the opening of this gym and I have to say the hygiene of this gym is shocking and concerning. Only 2 hot showers were working and the rest were out of order. The 2 that were working were filthy and had black rubbish everywhere. Most likely to catch some disease in there.

Went in yesterday, the gym is ok 10% -15% of the machines are out off order most of the time, but the gym facilities are good. MOST importantly I’ve noticed the cleaning of the whole place is shocking!! JD you need to employee a professional firm to come do the job properly Thanks

Positive experience: Decent gym but noticed the new cleaner they have hired has no common sense needs to be retrained a few times i have been when its quite busy and hes put out of order on half of the gym equipment to clean around surely you can clean around equipment when its not busy as its very annoying and not ideal.

Negative experience: There are massive dips in the deadlift platform which can be dangerous, you have to request the easy bar from the desk and then have staff ask you if you’re going to steal it. Changing rooms make you want to vomit, weights left everywhere. I do not know who is responsible for this gym but that clown needs to be removed immediately and find someone who will fix these disgraceful problems.

Negative experience: I am writing to express my deep concern regarding a discriminatory incident involving Leena, a staff member at JD Gym Bradford. On 30th April, I was denied entry to the gym because my phone had died, despite my request for assistance. However, within two minutes, another individual encountered the same issue and was promptly allowed entry by Leena. This differential treatment based on nationality is unacceptable and has left me feeling emotionally distressed. Discrimination has no place in our community, especially within an establishment like JD Gym. I request a formal apology and urge you to take disciplinary action against Leena to ensure such behavior is not repeated

Negative experience: DONT GO HERE. Equipment ALWAYS broken for weeks at a time, the staff STINK its actually ridiculous these people are hired to work in a gym of all places where its supposed be health based and sanitary, and the people there are pervy and careless ... DISGUSTING, couldn't wait to be able to cancel my membership and move gyms!

Negative experience: Been going here for 5 years and it’s getting worse. The AC in the female section is always off, when I ring to politely ask to turn it up I’m being told it’s on 17 (the air is not blowing) or that it’s not controlled by them but external organisation (apparently only on the days when staff can’t be asked to fix it). The response is always rude and brushed off as if staff can’t be bothered because they’re not the ones exercising in a hot sweaty tiny closed off room. Today one of the trainers told me I’m not allowed to take the 36 kg dumbbell upstairs to the female section as “ladies don’t use it” (not really a nice and profession thing to say for someone who specialises in “strength training”). Women use more that 10kg dumbbells that are available in female section and a PT should know it! If there is a radius to which the dumbbells can be taken away from the rack and I’m not aware of it please let me know. Cause I’m sure I can take it wherever I’m seeing fit to use it as long as I return it which I always do. The gym is a mess! Female section is neglected. Brand new mash ones downstairs while the once upstairs are out of order or not working properly. The area is cleaned and hoovered maybe once a year! There’s tumbleweed of hair blowing across the space like a western movie. do better!

Fantastic experience: First time at this gym, wasn't to busy, was clean and staff were very helpful.

Negative experience: I have been coming here for 2 years on and off as it’s the closest gym to me. First of all it’s nearly impossible to train as a woman in the main section as I constantly get looked at and approached by men in there and made uncomfortable and the women’s section is always filthy to the point where I got ringworm on my legs from training on the mats there. There used to be sanitiser sprays and kitchen roll so I used to sanitise before and after use but now that covid is over apparently hygiene isn’t as important! Which should be crucial in a busy gym like this! There are barely any machines in women’s section and they’re are always broken for the past two months there was only 2 treadmills that were working okay. Only one bench and every time I come I have to clean the area first as all the weights are always scattered around. It takes 3 mins to put them away after your work out people! The aircon is never on in women section either so it gets extremely hot in there, stinky and stuffy. Makes me feel like there’s no air to breathe. Toilets are clogged 75% of the time, showers are disgusting as well so I stopped showering there. Honestly the only reasons keeping me here is that I don’t drive and this gym is the closest to me other than that I wouldn’t bother coming it just makes you angry and frustrated with lack of maintenance, business and dirt

Positive experience: Good gym expensive, mens changing rooms are fine clean but the smell is awful in there, it stinks, lockers are fine to put your things in, just bring your own pad lock to make sure you're things in your locker are safe, very busy gym so sometimes or most times your having to wait till person finishes using the equipment. In the gym everything else is fine I only use the equipment in the main gym area.

Negative experience: 2 months in and the only great thing about this gym is the classes. Otherwise, equipment in the women section always out of order (especially the treadmill which has stopped twice on different occasions while I was on it and I nearly got hurt). One would think management would actually care about their customers getting hurt. Too busy getting all the membership fees in to actually buy new equipment. Edit: the treadmill just stopped again, at least this time I was done with my workout. Please just take the treadmill away before it severely injures someone

Positive experience: Can only really speak to the womens section rather than the main gym but it's not too bad. You definitely get what you pay for. Womens gym is generally pretty clean - it could be a bit tidier but that's the fault of lazy customers rather than staff. The odd time something has broken it sometimes takes a couple weeks to get repaired. But it's rare. The womens section is fairly small so when it's busy it's tough to get a decent workout in as you have to hang around a lot and wait. The changing rooms are always clean and well maintained. No complaints there. The one thing that is actually off putting is the stench when you first walk in to the building! I get that it's a gym but pleeeeaaase invest in some air fresheners or something - it absolutely reeks at times

Positive experience: A request to the management at JD gyms please could you put a sign actually on the window of the sauna in black and white, "PLEASE SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING" as many grown men think it's acceptable not to, they think because they're going to sweat anyway that there isn't no point, just to let you know it isn't acceptable, if u haven't showered and have sweated or havent washed certain body parts before, it causes bacteria to form which results in you smelling and spreading germs and the rest of us having to breathe it in and inhale it within an enclosed space, sorry to point out the obvious, but apparently it isn't obvious to some

Positive experience: There are no stretching classes except yoga (almost every day), which I don't practice. No ABS, actually all the good classes that existed before pandemic have been cancelled. Im just there because Mo classes, which are brilliant. DO NOT PARK OUTSIDE THE BAY.(ESPECIALY BEHIND THE BUILDING).PARK IN THE LINES. OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE FINED.

Fantastic experience: Good quality gym a great range of equipment I have tried some of the so called premium gyms yet they wouldn't have even 10% of the equipment JD gym has to offer. At peak times expect it to be very busy.

Positive experience: Good or bad I often don’t like to leave reviews. However in this instance feedback is appropriate. The positive is jd gyms Bradford is conveniently located, has a range of different equipment and on most days of the year is accessible 24/7 (actually let’s rephrase it’s available at least for one time entry once a day any time of day). My experience today though was poor. With it being the Christmas period Jd gyms have chosen to operate reduced hours. I’m understanding of that. However surely you should be aware of your customer base in that not everyone will be celebrating and even if they are celebrating it’s a time of year where people will still want access to the gym at their convenience. Nevertheless you’ve relayed you will close at 4 pm on Boxing Day. So I as a customer have come two and half hours before closing. Todays work out, treadmill work and heavy bag work as the weights area is packed to the brim (sardine cans are packed with more room then what was available to paint you a picture). I’m 2 minutes into my heavy bag work. The cleaner approaches ‘I’m sorry bro I need to clean this area”. Hold on a second you’re operating on reduced hours and I’ve turned up with ample time before closing but you need to clean here and restrict access to equipment I pay membership to have access to? Gormless response I received, I have to. Well can you not come back in 15 minutes or so. No sorry I’ll give you 3 more minutes At this point l was annoyed but sure that’s fine you’re doing your job and I can’t hold you at fault for that. Following this I’ve sought out the management on site. Knocked on the office door. I explain what’s just happened and the response is that again of a gormless individual well they have to clean. If they don’t you’ll complain. Again I relayed I understood this but surely where you are choosing to reduce hours then access to the full equipment should be available in those restricted hours. The response I received, I understand but everyone needs to be out by 4. I was left dumbfounded at the attitude I was exposed to and the fact they were unwilling to do anything about the issue I raised. Common sense would have you think maybe an appropriate response would be we are really sorry about the experience this time, but we will consider the situation so perhaps next time we can put appropriate measures in place to reduce inconvenience to our valued members.

Negative experience: Avoid if you want to keep your belongings safe. My jacket with house keys and clothes were stolen. Staff were very unhelpful. I asked them to review CCTV of the entrance & exit & their response was that a lot of items have been stolen recently & they will check soon. Anyone else who has had items stolen please report to the police & official JD Gyms. The Bradford branch is horrible.

Negative experience: Disgusted, the sauna was off, only two of the showers were working and there was sickness in one of them. The drinking water is disgusting too, it’s contaminated. Not to mention the water in the showers is so hot it will burn your skin off. Worse gym experience I’ve had. Need to get their acts together seriously.

Negative experience: Absolutely worst gym ever. I was charged for a parking fine even though I put my details in. I told management who took a picture of my letter. He said I will sort it. I know have debt collectors chasing me for parking here. I LITERALLY GO TO THIS GYM EVERYDAY AND ENTER MY PARKING EVERYDAY

Fantastic experience: Great gym, very helpful staff and awesome spin classes with Shabz. If you're a beginner on the spin bike, don't worry, Shabz knows what's good for you and guides you throughout and keeps a good eye on you and can motivate you to progression..... And before you know it... You're smashing it!!! My cardiovascular health has improved and getting great results in fatburn..... Thanks Shabz, couldn't have done it without you!!!

Negative experience: I have one month I come to this gym but many faultless machine next month I change to another gym but before I will try that from Leeds to see if is the same

Negative experience: I’ve been a member at this gym for just over a year and I can honestly say I have had enough - The hygiene in this gym is absolutely horrendous, the women’s showers are never clean there is always a tonne of hair in the showers, pads and pantyliners are flowing out of the bins, machines are never working - 2 treadmills have been out of use for over 3 weeks and nothing has been done about it. My clothes and other peoples belongings have been stolen and nothing is ever done about that either. There is no staff at the gym after 10 pm and you can’t gain entry after 10 pm if your code doesn’t work. It’s appalling that so many people have complained yet nothing has been done, I’ve been told that the gym is under new management (1 month ago) however the issues remain the same. I would also like to add that the phones are never answered . I’d recommend that you save your money and go elsewhere !

Negative experience: The manager here Zak couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. Rude and ignorant. Overcrowded, dirty changing rooms rarely cleaned equipment always under maintenance and how the heck are member supposed to wipe down equipment when you have got rid of the sprays and tissues.

Negative experience: fix the threadmills in the ladies area, it’s getting annoying turning up to gym with no free threadmill to use Edit - it’s been months, machines still down and gym is overloaded but still hoards of people are being granted membership. Disappointing.

Negative experience: Absolutely fed up with the sorry state of JD Gym Bradford! The so-called 'limited' machines for chest press and bench press are a joke. And don't even get me started on the excruciating wait time for repairs when equipment breaks down. This place is a prime example of a lack of maintenance and care. Fantastic experience: JD Gyms is one of the best gyms in Bradford. The gym has a wide range of machines and a huge portion of the room for free weights. Their trainers conduct 350 fitness and conditioning classes every month. It has a ladies-only gym and luxury changing rooms. The gym has 250+ cardio machines. It has plenty of free parking areas. You can get a one-day guest pass which helps you save money. They have a strong team of expert Personal Trainers who go above and beyond to help their members to become more.

Positive experience: The closure of EasyGym was a tragedy of Sophoclean proportions, possibly the greatest catastrophe to ever befall the City of Bradford. However, JDGyms seems to be an adequate replacement. The gym has a wide variety of equipment which, outside the hours 5pm-9pm, you may actually be able to use! My exile from EasyGym hasn't stopped me from appreciating how all-round decent of a gym JDGyms is: it's an affordable place in the heart of Bradford with good equipment. No complaints.

Negative experience: Avoid at all cost. Sent me a £60 parking ticket for parking outside the gym without any clear sign. The staff never helped me just said its got nothing to do with us contact pcm. What a joke!! Been going here for years but no more now!

Negative experience: The gym equipment and facilites for exercise are great but the mens changing room, sauna and toilets need investing in. there are too few toilets, which are nearly always filthy, the toilet rool dispenser is nearly always not functioning, too few changing rooms and showers where the button needs to be held down during the entire length of you shower. Changing rooms need to be kept cleaner with the amount of people using them.

Positive experience: Good Gym. Can get busy at times. But overall pretty decent.

Negative experience: No inductions! No site map you are suppose to know everything about the facility including the map the second you walk in Or even before that only one toilet and one shower room open after twelve and no changing room which is not right as I pay for those facilities as-well and work out after midnight that one toilet and shower is always busy and disgusting no dryer and where the hell is sauna I don’t even know even after going a week stars are for the range of equipment and weights Needs improvement in most areas especially cleaning 24 hours gym means 24 hours changing facilities shower toilet and staff presence which is not the case unfortunately why changing rooms and showers are locked after midnight I fail to understand!

Negative experience: The gym itself is alright, it's the patrons that ruin it. One guy will be hogging 2 or 3 sets of dumbells. Someone will be using 3 barbells/EZ bars at a time. People not re racking weights. Buff dudes racking plates up on the leg press until they can't get anymore on, and then not re racking them after they've finished. At times, it feels like a scavenger hunt on the gym floor to find the weights you need. There's only three squat racks, three bench presses and one deadlifting bar, and this gym is constantly packed full at almost all times of the day! You spend more time waiting than actually doing what you need to get done. No free weighing scales. The one in the locker room that you pay for is always out of order, or cannot be used for one reason or another. The male toilets are nearly always in a disgusting state; can people not aim??? The staff are friendly at least. Is it worth £21.99 a month? I'm unsure about that. I'd be more comfortable paying £10 and £15 max.

Positive experience: A bit dim but apart from that its ok. Just a reminder if you go out. You can't come back in for another 8 hrs which is not mentioned in the induction or in any pre signups chats

Negative experience: Very crowded space and incompetent manager at Bradford gym with poor approach to customer. I have to pay 3 times penality charge £60.00 by so called PCM parking company. Eventhough, the gym states that you're allowed to park up to 2.5 hours at the gym as long as you're registered number plate on the I-pad at the reception. However, it is a trap and no one provide you evidence while appealing for penality charges. Overall, very crowded space most of the time, not enough equipments, unapproachable manager with lack of managerial skills.

Negative experience: Overcrowded even at the worst hours. Smell is so far the worst out of all gyms I’ve been to, hygiene is appalling no one ever to be found cleaning anything up. Disgusting gym

Negative experience: Absolute shambles of a place in the weights area alot of machines are damaged, it took 5 weeks to fix the sauna, not sure how long its going to take to fix the roof above the cardio area? I have been to a few jd gyms in other parts of yorkshire if owt gets damaged it gets replaced or repaired immediately, i wonder why its not the case for the Bradford Jd's Gym ?

Negative experience: Lot’s of faulty equipment, dirty changing rooms and showers. Sauna always no more than 70 degrees temperature but supposed to be minimum 80.

Positive experience: I used to go to pure gym but the range of equipment was horrible so I decided to switch to JD Gym. The gym has potential but the space is sooo small it puts me off , especially on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. The gym is packed!!! Staff are nice and equipment too however the gym is just too small.. if they moved to double the size that would be amazing and worth the money but until then it will be 3 out of 5 rating. Also, the women only section is actually not bad but again is too small for the amount of ladies that need to be in there for religious purposes (completely understandable) .

Fantastic experience: Amazing spin classes with Shabz, the POWER, the PUSH, the TRACKS, the ATMOSPHERE, the FOCUS & DEDICATION. Absolutely electric atmosphere each an every session. Seen MASSIVE results in me, getting faster, stronger and motivated, mentally stronger. If you haven't tried her classes get yourself down you won't be disappointed. She deserves all the credit keep striving Shabz your the BEST

Fantastic experience: Only giving this gym 5* due to the amazing classes with Shabz. Encouraging and inspirational. If you wanna sweat like mad and do the craziest workouts of your life (I mean this in the best way possible) then attend her classes! You won’t regret it.

Negative experience: Never had all the gym equipment working today the cardio machines not been working because of a roof leak on Sunday still out of order sauna been out of order for several weeks now decided to fix it when could of been fixed In a few days I'm sure you've got plenty of money to fix it as you have thousands of members. Showers always dirty never seen them clean when I go to the gym. Get you act together JD Gym. Leeds gym always on point never had complaints when going leeds JD Gyms wonder why.

Negative experience: I've been a member of JD Gyms for around 3-4 years. I trained out of their Leeds North gym and visited their other site in Kirkstall. Therefore, when moving to Bradford I thought it would be a no brainer switching to their Bradford gym. I'll first start with the Pro's: 1. Location- the gym is located in central Bradford and is in a great location especially if you're living in the surrounding area. The car park is also large enough to always find space even though you need to register your number plate to avoid getting a ticket. 2. JD gyms always have a good selection (although this location is lacking slightly behind its sister locations, more on that below). 3. I believe the gym does have a dedicated women's area and quirks like a prayer room which are unique to this branch. Now for the Cons: 1. The equipment does seem to be lacking in some areas. There are some pieces that I've liked to use in the Leeds locations that can't be found in the Bradford Branch. I understand that the gym is smaller than the Leeds branch so it might be logistically difficult to fit everything in. Also, things like kettlebells, battle ropes and medicine balls are limited in supply and seem to be there one day and be gone the next. When they are there those pieces are often warn out and tired compared to other JD sites I have been to. 2. Members- I understand that a gym can't control the quality of its clientele and given the area and price point the gym has a tendency to attract a type of gym goer. On the whole this is not a big issue but you will come across a few members that lack any sort of gym etiquette. Things like re-racking weights, returning equipment to its proper place, personal hygeine by deciding to wear a vest while being prone to sweat and not wiping down benches after use and sitting on equipment like weight racks when they shouldn't be sat on are the norm. You will also come across the odd person who likes to use the squat rack to bicep curl or shadowbox. Some of these issues are unavoidable and there isn't much that can be done. However, for some of these issues the gym staff can either look to enforce stricter rules within the gym and implement warnings or bans. Or, alternatively can ensure that enough staff are on site to clean, re-rack weights and wipe down equipment. I've seen different gyms take different approaches but in this instance staff on site seem to be uninterested and can be found behind the desk or in their office. 3. The third and final issue is one that fits into the overall theme at the gym and is something that has lead me to cancel my membership. There are issues which have been raised in other reviews relating to the general upkeep of the gym. If equipment is faulty or out of order it can take months to repair. Toilets and showers can often remain uncleaned. Especially during busy times, and things like the steam room have remained out of order indefinitely. When asking staff about these issues the reply is often a shrug with a.. Management doesn't tell us when it will be repaired so we don't know. Electricity was down for a full day earlier this month and after visiting the gym today half of the gym was cordoned off due to an unexplained issue and when staff were asked when this will be resolved the response was another shrug. This means no cardio machines or resistance machines for an indefinite amount of time with no communication from the gym by email or facebook as to when this will be resolved. This was the last straw and the reason I have cancelled my membership, which is a shame because prior to this, this gym and this brand was really the best option for this price. Unfortunately, this branch like many things in Bradford is just lagging behind and like many other things in this city, when you ask why people just shrug and say Bradford innit....

Negative experience: Discrimination. They have a seperate women's workout area but they don't have a seperate men's workout area. It's not fair at all.

Negative experience: There’s always something “out of service”. Today the whole cardio section downstairs is closed off. That’s over half the gym area I can’t access. But of course they are still charging me the full amount every month. Avoid if you can.

Negative experience: What a joke of a gym. Manager threatening customers if they don't sit nicely in the sauna he will turn it OFF. Is it a gym or a nursery? Gym also closed today due to leaking roof. What a load of bo11ox. Pathetic excuse of a gym. I've now cancelled.

Negative experience: It's uterrly disappointing this gym. Been going here for a few years because it's the closest to my house. The equipment is always damaged and today it's been closed because of a leak. Like what's the point paying if you don't do regular checks on your own establishment. Do better with this or most of your customers will go somewhere else with their business.

Fantastic experience: Great gym ,has all the equipment you need and a little more, could do with another leg extension machine, everything else is plenty, try and go mornings or afternoon as it gets stupidly busy in the evenings. Good showering facilities and has a sauna for the post work out relaxation. Overall excellent gym.

Negative experience: This gym is going downhill fast. Equipment not repaired and changing rooms and showers not cleaned. All staff lower down are brilliant but chap in charge, ginger with pony tail needs to go on customer care training and ‘lady working there looks like she sucking lemons all the time

Negative experience: Unfortunately lack of maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities is fast turning this gym from a good gym to a bad gym , not good and very disappointing. Always associated quality with a JD product!!

Negative experience: I've been going to JD gym over 2 years now. It's been fantastic although, but recently everything seems opposite direction, staff lack of support and commitment, equipment not cleaned as it required, sona room not working for long time, shower room smells bad. My question ? is this place going to shoot down? If so, please let me know so I can join somewhere else.

Negative experience: DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM.. Absolutely pathetic service. The staff treat you like an inconvenience. As today there are 7 machines out of order. All 3 hair dryers in mens changing room are broken. Sauna is broken and has been for last 4 weeks. Urine all over the floors. Guess what. If you complain. They say. Well its Bradford. What can you do? Anyway I've cancelled my membership and anyone with an ounce worth of decency/self worth will do the same . Unless you enjoy being treated as sub standard. Just go and view the place before you join.

Fantastic experience: Best gym I've ever had a membership at. The staff and trainers are really friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in the gym is great and everyone helps each other if they need. Many facilities including a toilet and soon a sauna with many perfectly working machines. Can't ask much else from a gym. Despite it being a commercial gym it establishes an amazing community feel to it and I really enjoy it there. Would honestly recommend this over any other Bradford gym by far. Price for a monthly subscription is also not too high as it ranges between 22 and 25 quid. I say, give it a try.

Negative experience: Going to cancel my membership there are no services. They takes months to fix machines Suna is not working from long time all hair dryer are out of order There is no hot water to have shower i really have no idea what kind of gym is this .

Fantastic experience: Blown away by the ladies only gym here. The ladies gym is large and has a decent amount of equipment. Personally I will use this area to build my confidence.

Negative experience: I deleted a previous review but I came back because something is not right with the gym. Weird planning of the shower area with not enough sinks (just 2) while the gym is big and almost always overcrowded. Anything like sauna, hairdryers, small shower can be found locked or out of order anytime. The sound of music is low quality (in 2023?). Sometimes the staff is disrespectfull. Overall, this gym is not luxury as advertised and it looks like George Soros funded.

Negative experience: Visited the gym this morning and many things are of order, this gym has in excess of 7000 members x £20. They leave things for ages to get replaced, what’s the point of having facility’s which are not functional. Things will get broken damaged and normal wear and tear. Jds get your finger out and get this sorted please. Thank you for your continued support.

Negative experience: Both car parks are connected which means if you want to do your shopping at the supermarket next door and go to the gym you have to do it all at once as you can’t return within 4 hours otherwise you receive a fine. Which makes no sense as they are two separate facilities so if you share a car you have to ask however many people are insured on it if they've been to either establishment within the past 4 hours. Also just a very busy and abused gym most people don’t even train it’s full of teenagers hogging one machine taking pictures, the staff are quite rude as-well apart from the two black fellas.

Positive experience: One of the most best gym i go to very polite and helpful staff excellent equipment and very clean cheap too

Positive experience: This is a great gym but the open abuse of weights and machines going unchallenged and the arrogance to just leave weights lying around, again going unchallenged leaves so many responsible gym users frustrated. If the staff spent more time on the shop floor rather than hiding in the office and encouraged a culture of responsibility, banning permanently those that abuse the system things would only change for the better.

Positive experience: Very good gym however can be overcrowded even past 10pm & have had a few parking tickets given in error, however they were successfully appealed on 2-3 occasions.
