Negative experience: Not even used the gym yet, came for a tour and there is literally no where to park when it says there is. “Visitor parking” is stationed everywhere but the gates don’t let you in and staff never mentioned any of this over the phone so I won’t be joining as if it’s this difficult just to see the place it’s not worth the hassle of joining.

Negative experience: Staff are nice but parking is terrible. Been waiting in here forever. arrived 9:05am and now is 9:52am. Over 45 minutes to wait for parking and still in the queue. This happened almost everyday !!!! Why would I want to waste 30 mins everyday in my life to wait!!!! Terrible experience here. Avoid here in all cost.

Negative experience: The gym itself is nice and staff are friendly. The car parking situation is diabolical. Extra parking is available after 5.30pm, but then the gym gets too busy. You can’t get a space before then! Even when I’ve been at 3pm on a weekday it’s not guaranteed you’ll get a space. If you don’t need a gym or sauna, would avoid becoming a member

Positive experience: Overall a good place with some friendly staff who are always happy to help. I have learnt to come here early morning or later in the day as it is a much more relaxing experience, parking is a lot easier and the gym/pool areas are calmer. It can definitely feel heavily oversubscribed during peak hours and I still do not understand why so many people are so unhygienic and allowed to enter the sauna, pool and jacuzzi without showering first - the showers are hot and readily available by the pool area. Also not sure why so many lockers in the men's changing room seem permanently padlocked or reserved. If the prices go up anymore, it won't be worth staying here until they significantly reduce the number of members.

Negative experience: I’ve only given two stars as I’m not able to take full advantage of the gym. You can only go after 6 or on wknds if you use the car park, otherwise you very likely won’t be able to park. I understand it’s geared around people who work in the business park, but since Virgin have closed twickenham they should think about catering more for people who work full time and aren’t on site, I prefer a class but 90% of the classes start before 7, which rules me out. classes are usually fully booked a week in advance so you struggle to get the full benefit, why not add more classes if the demand is there?

Negative experience: Clean the pool! I've been swimming here for the past 6 months and the pool was dirty every time. There's lots of stuff at the bottom of the pool (often looks like tissue or paper?), the area around the pool is slimy, there's black mould in the showers, the changing rooms are dirty. I've reported this many times to the reception staff but didn't notice any change.

Positive experience: Had the privilege of using a day pass which gave me access to the entire club. Second one I've used in about 4 years so it had been a while. They've done an upgrade which is alot more modern than the previous set up. Pros - Lots of facilities for sports such as tennis, badminton, football, swimming. Clean changing rooms and good shower pressure. Gym was decent with a good mixture of equipment. Cons - I can imagine it gets very busy there as there seemed to be one deadlift area, only 2 sets of weights for dumbbells when you'd expect at least 3/4 to keep up with demand in the peak hours. The actual machines they have are Techno Gym and I just find they're the entry leve of gym machines; and for a gym of Virgin's calibre, I expect better equipment.

Negative experience: Do not join its not worth money, I came as guest with my GF. No car parking today and could not get access in CP. I will not join the gym and saunas are dirty. It really a gangland meeting place as some dude were rolling up joints to smoke. On leaving they were in car ark getting stoned. My GF will quit as the dudes gave rude comments and called her names. Baiting me!!! Do not join place is terrible.

Negative experience: Parking is so limited you always queue. Not enough free weights, always queues. Mens toilet and showers stink. Classes always full.....machines still have iPod docks on them machines need upgrading. Pool sauna and jacuzzi are nice

Negative experience: So far in the last month: A person proceeded to perform a full pedicure there on gym towels. No one said a word. I was also harassed twice in the car park by men. It does not feel safe in there or sanitary. Its a shame as have been a member for years, but wont be coming back.

Negative experience: The hygiene situation is simply not acceptable at Virgin Chiswick Park!! Spa area and showers are dirty!! steam room is dirty, jacuzzi walls are dirty - how we are supposed to relax after the workoutChange your cleaning provider and the maintenance team!! Negative experience: Awful club and awful company. Closed the Twickenham Virgin Active with very little notice to members who use it via multi club access. Even though a collection member, unable to use Chiswick Riverside due to being in an even higher tier on its own and the Chiswick Park gym appears to have parking for 10 cars (so is always full). Unable to get through to the club to confirm the parking. In addition, having been a member for over 7 years, forced members to sign up for a 12 month membership to keep their current rate to then close the local gym.. Bring on Third Space opening and I hope lots of members leave Virgin

Negative experience: Spoke to HQ, directed to the club, which isn’t easy to find if you’re unfamiliar with the business park layout. Made special journey after work only to be told that 6pm is too busy to show anyone around. Quite the contrast to The Hogarth Club who couldn’t have been more helpful. One customer lost.

Negative experience: Awful experience and a big regret joining. I have been waiting to resolve an ongoing issue for 2 weeks despite calling back several times. Delays in free gym membership and unprofessional staff. Will be placed on hold for very long if you click the already a member option however when you click for new business they answer within a minute.

Positive experience: I like this gym and have been going here for about 12 years. Overall I would say it is good with room for improvement. Advantages include: * staff are helpful * fluffy, clean towels are provided * great location with lovely views * fairly spacious * quite a good range of equipment * good classes (though somewhat limited in number) * I like the boditrax machine Some downsides: * I enjoy the yoga classes but there is minimal acoustic insulation around the studio so a lot of noise from the adjacent gym and classes which is very disruptive * I enjoy the sauna but it seems more frequently standing room only and the benches are narrower so it there are people occupying the upper section there is not much room to sit on the lower bench * classes tend to get fully booked quite quickly. Booking opens 7 days in advance and often fills up by day two of booking windows * I avoid using the downstairs toilets as they are usually quite smelly At times the gym is very busy and you have to queue for equipment

Negative experience: No parking . So place with waste of time plus if not will regester with that club you will get parking ticket ... that what stuff just explained ... so by going there to check what it will cost you 100.' . Plus . What stuff say the are have to wait parking it mean stuff uses that small car park for customers . That is why you have no parking ... than dogs ... where you like me to left them ? In the house at the moment more than 30° in the car less and it is are small god not big ... so what is your problem ? We in England problem ? You won't regester me because of your dreams ... becouse some one .... so stuff getting confused personal thinks with business thinks .... owner please fix all those problems ... just read your one star problems .... Negative experience: Aware that many others get a corporate discount etc, as someone paying full price (£126pm) I found the service very disappointing. The car park is often full and I have missed classes because I've spent upwards of 30mins waiting in a queue of cars - lunchtime classes are therefore pointless. Virgin also no longer has a Spotify license which has also impacted the quality of their classes, especially the likes of spin/cycle classes. Guest passes are automatically allocated upon joining, and on your birthday - this wasn't the case for me and I had to repeatedly chase on both occasions. Again, when freezing my membership for medical surgery, my request was ignored and I was incorrectly charged. Why am I doing your admin for you? Submitted my cancellation request as of today.

Negative experience: I recently joined and I regret it a lot. The gym itself is not bad, decent size and facilities are okay. However, it’s very, very over crowded, especially the free weights area. They have put it in a tiny space when there is so much extra room not being used around the gym. It only has 4 free weight benches which is ridiculous for the size of the gym. Every single time, without fail, there is a queue to get a bench. When you are paying for a “premium” gym, that is simply not good enough at all. Especially when you are a gym goer who spends majority of time in the free weights area. Sauna and steam are also very crowded whenever I have been. It’s incredibly frustrating and just feel myself thinking how have I been so stupid as to lock myself in a 12 month contract when I spend 50% of my time standing and waiting for space. Please sort it out.

Negative experience: While convenient in terms of location, Virgin Active in Chiswick falls short compared to other gyms offering superior equipment at more affordable rates. Despite recognizing varying price points across gyms, it's crucial for all to maintain a basic standard. Unfortunately, the men's showers have been out of order for some time, and there's a consistent issue with broken equipment on the gym floor. Additionally, the weights area often faces overcrowding due to limited equipment availability. There's a clear need for improvement, urging the company to invest more in maintenance and facilities. Introducing an extra weights room could alleviate these challenges significantly.

Negative experience: Been a member many years. Gym is in decline and customer service is very bad. Currently: 1. lots of gym equipment is not working (or 'taking a break' as Virgin call it). 2. the equipment is all much older and less advanced than at other Virgin gyms like Fulham (which is cheaper) 3. 6 showers broken in mens changing rooms and no effort to fix them - they have been broken months 4. some (not all) staff are rude 5. gym is over crowded as they sell cheap memberships to 16 year olds 6. changing rooms are frequently dirty and crowded

Fantastic experience: I’ve recently joined this gym on 11th of April 2024 cuz my previous gym has been closed permanently. Im very happy with the staff members in Chiswick branch of Virgin Active calls Jazbir, Miriam, Jeevan, Amaya, Annabel Im sorry if Im doing any spelling mistakes in any1’s names they r very helpful, friendly and Polite. Im very happy with all the Services of Virgin Active Chiswick branch the way they are providing towels everyday and towels are always neat and clean smells good Pool, Steam, Sauna, Jaccuzi area is neat and tidy all the cleaners cleans studios after every single class they have different studios for every single class. My biggest reason to join virgin active because they’ve plenty of classes. It starts from 6am till 8pm and I do only classes I don’t workout by my own I enjoy group classes I’ve been working out for 8yrs but in 8years I only chose to go in those gyms who provides classes and Virgin active is one of those. Although I don’t have any complains Apart from one & tht is that Instructors r not allowed to use their own music they’ve to play Virgin Active’s Music this is why most of the instructors are leaving and to be very honest music plays such an important role to create energy in classes specially in dance and Cycling classes. I heard other members were complaining to instructors that Virgin Active’s music is boring this is why I am not booking Cycling and dance classes anymore so its my humble request please Let ur instructors play their Own energetic music specially in cycling and dance classes. I’ve two more requests if you don’t mind me asking that I love LESMILLS workouts like BodyPump and Body Combat I’ve done BodyPump with Alla and Tara both instructors did a great job in body pump so is it possible can you add more bodypump classes cuz this is the only class in ur timetable where we lift weights and there isn’t any BODY COMBAT class in the Timetable at all so its my humble request can you please add Body COMBAT in the Timetable As I’ve already told you I only do classes I chose Virgin Active only for the classes And I’ve one Last request that in your Chiswick branch there is only one boxing class on Friday at 12:15 and I can’t go in the evenings because I live in Hounslow yesterday I’ve done boxing class with one of ur instructor calls Angeliki she is fantastic she gave us such a hardcore workout with full of energy and I prefer to do hardcore energetic workouts cuz I easily get bored in Low impact workouts so its my humble request to add more of her Boxing classes during day times. Negative experience: Cancelled my membership when they put the price up by 40%. They called and emailed me to try to change my mind, and then sent an email telling me that as I haven't contacted them they will be taking the new higher payment from my account. Negative experience: The gym clean and towels with viniger smell provided, that's why I gave 2 stars. However, the power weight area has limited units so it gets crowded with time wasters who stick to each machine mostly for hours so you have to come in critical times to be able to exercise. You never come and find bars clear. The weight thrown everywhere in messy floor of the gym and the gym lacks many new machines. The management and staff members are not professional enough when it comes to customer service and atmosphere. Without notice, they broke my lock and took my belongings and when I asked about the issue, they gave me my belongings in rubbish bag without any apologies or respect and there was missing small cash from the clothes.

Negative experience: Loud & Stressful place for relaxing after workout. I visited that club for 1 evening only while working close by. It’s a complete opposite to my home club at Repton Park. Parking so confusing where to park when the tiny Virgin car park has no spaces. I might even get a ticket as you need to register your number plate on arrival - nobody at reception told me about despite me mentioning having trouble with parking and visiting here for the first time.. After my class I wanted to swim/spa. The spa area has a very low ceiling and every word/sound is bouncing echoes - and everyone is talking and shouting especially in the whirlpool. It’s so loud. A guy was literally shouting to his mate for about 45 mins. Even inside the sauna behind closed doors at the other end of the pool - felt like being trapped with that blarring loud guy in a tiny lift. No Virgin life guard said a word to him to keep it down. Then a group of four young non swimmers occupied the fast lane and had a mates meet up. I decided not to swim rather than ask them to go to the slow lane to hang out. Steam room wasn’t really warm and sauna overcrowded. I was actually really stressed out after that visit and won’t come back again - ever.

Negative experience: Updating my review due to the changes occurred in the past months. There are no more extra towels, even though Desiree is doing a brilliant job. Positive experience: Great group classes. There should be more of those added to the timetable as it's getting more and more difficult to book a place, even outside peak hours. Any Barre, Yoga and Pilates classes get fully booked 6 days before the class.

Negative experience: Decent gym but their customer service aims to be the worst alongside with virgin media. Had signed up to a joint account that was advertised for myself and partner. After cancelling it turns out they had set up two seperate accounts and kept one of them active and came chasing for fees refusing to accept their mess up. Ironically they have lost more money dying on this mole hill of poor customer service as we will not be returning after relocating.

Negative experience: Poor customer service. During signed up I was offered a free month if my partner signed up as well. It was made clear to the membership team representative that my partner would be signing up via a a work scheme and we specified the provider. This was all explained in detail at the time to check it was valid. They stated I would receive a free month after they signed up after me. Months later and I didn't receive the free month. I speak to someone the club and they say the membership representative who signed us uo has been let go, they ask me to email head office. Head office fob me off stating the free month via a work scheme is not valid and refer to their terms and conditions. What matters is what your employee told me to entice us to sign up, not what is in your T&Cs. Lied to by staff and £106 a month for an average gym, the soap dispensers in the showers never work and the towels they have are old, stained and too small for anyone but the skinniest of physique. I've been a member of multiple gyms and my experience at Virgin Chiswick has been the worst value for money. Worst of all head office disregarded my situation even though it was made clear the employee that signed me up was let go due to poor performance of some kind. Perhapse lying to sing up new members?

Positive experience: It’s a really nice gym, I love the location and they put on a wide range of classes. The staff have also been incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. They always take time to greet you and make sure that you’re ok even if they are in the middle of another task. However, Virgin Active really needs to get a better step machine the one they have is extremely poor. Also, in the evenings sometimes cleaning isn’t maintained ( I understand it’s really busy and take that into account), but it puts me off wanting to use the jacuzzi and other spa areas when they are not thoroughly cleaned. Overall, it’s a nice gym and I have recommended it to all my work colleagues and friends, just please get a better step machine

Negative experience: Unfortunately, has to award 1 start, but in reality it needs to be -10. Appalling service, poor management, too many people in general and lots of dodgy ones in particular. Received dirty looks, strange comments. Staff do not care. Any single complaint, comment addressed properly. Avoid if you can. I wish I were warned before Update: Tried to call that number you provided below. No result, no response after being on hold for 40 minutes! Typical! Bye bye

Negative experience: Customer service is appalling. For the price it's not worth it. When I report things or need help nothing ever gets resolved. Emails don't get a response. Induction request ... no response... The weighing scale has never worked for me in 9months. Just cancelled my membership and now they respond to my cancellation of the direct debits and are trying to make it difficult for me to leave even though Ive supplied my notice and proof that my contract has ended? It's just ridiculous, disappointing and it's getting annoying. The parking situation is terrible. If you get a ticket they do not support you at all so you get fined even though you are a member of the gym and parking is included in your membership virgin don't support you so you have to pay. Honestly it's been an absolute headache will not be doing this again.

Negative experience: I was at the kid's swimming pool today and felt dizzy, I couldn't move my feet properly and started drowning, nodded to the lady who was supposed to be the lifeguard and she didn't even notice me, I don't think lifeguards working there understand how important it is to focus on the people in the pool instead of talking to each other. Negative experience: Nice gym and amenities however poorly thought out floor plan and equipment choices! The gym is one of the most spacious gyms I've been too (theres so much room) but some how they manage to not utilize it by choosing the wrong equipment/floor plan. My biggest gripe is with the weight section. If you visit the gym during any busy period you'll find 70% of the members crammed into this one small weights area where they store the free weights/squat racks/benches etc. They only have 1 flat bench press machine and not nearly enough benches/squat racks for the amount of people using this space. You literally have to line up/wait to use any of the weight equipment. They need to realise many of their patrons use this area and they need to make it significantly larger (more benches, squat racks, deadlift areas etc). These are core work outs included in many peoples routines Instead they've decide to have like 30 treadmill/bikes etc, 5+ ski machines and many other large open spaces target towards "trendy" exercises, cardio and mainly class driven workouts. Basically not accommodating to people that just want to get in and lift heavy weight.... unless you want to wait around for 10min to use equipment. Which is not plausible for someone like myself who workouts on their lunch break. Recommendation: Double the size of the weights area and add a calf raise machine or something for the calves.

Positive experience: Have been a member here since it used to be Esporta (c.2007). Nice gym with good kit and has seen a few makeovers in that time. Could definitely do with the "Punch" class from Mayfair and the showers are really in need of renovation....oh and please sort the water pressure out. The gym is definitely busier than it used to be (I am writing this in August 2023) and apparently this is largely due to the Hammersmith club closing and memberships being transferred to CP....without notifying existing CP members of course. The main reason I am still a member is the large space for working out and windows which let in lots of light, compared to other clubs which can seem dark and dingey. Through Vitality the cost of membership is ok, for now, but classes are uninspiring.

Positive experience: Good range of equipment, even though the free weight section could use a bit more given how many people are in the gym at one time. There is also a complete lack of etiquette when it comes to re-racking weights, so it’ll be very rare to find a machine ready to use once someone’s finished with it. Overall, probably not worth the money.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. They increased my price twice within 5 months. Once without permission. Asked to cancel membership as I wasn’t happy. Told will be cancelled but before they cancel they would get a manager to see if price can be reduced. Never got a call back. They took another month of payment so I cancelled the DD till they sorted it. Now being harassed everyday with a call from their debt collection agency for the month they weren’t meant to charge for. Really disappointing as I was with them paying on time for almost two years. Facilities were nice but far too busy and at the cost of customer care. I would now avoid this branch at all cost even though convenient for me working in the same building.

Positive experience: To be equitable to the team at CP, Classes are great .. Joe, Sarah and Helen ..Excellent .. Steph on Yoga .. another great class .. issue is Hammersmith shut down .. so everyone moved to CP … and there is no getting away with it .. it’s busy .. I had and still need to Finish my PT sessions on Tuesdays .. constantly have to wait due to number of people .. app says 88% occupancy…. Becks from a PT just great and Huge shout to Annabel .. always a welcoming esp at 8am on Saturday! Not sure what the options are .. May be move some of the equipment near the boditrax … Space infront the yoga studio .. knock wall down and open it up ? But the feedback is reasonable it has become busier … Leave you a positive thoughts .. March 2022 weighed in post Covid .. 122.5kg June 2023 weighed in post CP virgin classes and PT … 100.2kg … Club helps and so does the team Just sort out the volume of users … please

Negative experience: Club is way too busy, for those trying to go around work hours I wouldn’t even bother. Class timetable is awful with none early morning or late evening for those working in central london and waitlists up to 25 people so no chance of getting on! Used to be a very different experience a couple of years ago, now they’ve oversold memberships, it’s too busy and unenjoyable

Negative experience: I've started training here again after a couple of years away, and the difference is night and day. Outrageously crazy busy after 5pm until closing, going so far as to having to queue to use the spa facilities after 9pm. Spending half your workout waiting to get on kit isn't very motivating. To be honest if I had the option I'd give it miss and check out the fitness first in Hammersmith or one of the other virgin actives in West london.

We do see the usage increase in the evenings, and this does seem to be the most popular time for people to come down to train/relax. If you are able to get to the club at other times during the day, there are plenty of times where you will have the gym floor and spa areas to yourself. I understand that this is not always possible with certain schedules, however this is normal at the peak times. We do also see an increase in usage over the lunchtime period but no where as much as the evenings. And in-between these times, as mentioned already it is very calm. Negative experience: 6th August Update Waited a year for Virgin Active to improve itself but with nothing changing, have cancelled my gym membership and so happy to be released from it - continued terrible customer service, terrible equipment, suboptimal gym layout, antique equipment that breaks regularly and with slow repair times, simply not being able to use the gym after I finish work because simply everything is in use (there is no hyperbole here). Also find it strange that the brand is reorienting itself away from essentially being a gym with some additional 'health club' elements to launching nonsense nutritional coaching and nonsense rewards when one attends the gym twice etc a week, such as a free coffee per week - I have excellent coffee at home. For this nonsensical PR 'refresh' to be passed on to me in absurd increased membership fees without any improvements to the gym floor was the last straw. Good luck to Virgin - your ship continues to sink. Last Post Long waiting times to use benches - constantly busy. Management not interested in adding equipment to ease bottlenecks. Unable to beat the crowds by going at lunch time/2pm/3pm/4pm/5pm and certainly not the evenings. No longer able to meet fitness goals using this place I've been with since 2014. Look elsewhere for a gym where you're not having to queue incessantly. Crowd is noticeably sub-twenties in age since they started aggressively promoting membership.

Positive experience: Used to feel like an oasis after a day at work and I’d look forward to coming here, but now I find myself thinking of any reason to skip it. Would be useful to know what plans VA has to deal with demand at peak times, when it can feel absolutely rammed. Despite the odd issue with things not working or towels running out the club runs reasonably well considering how busy it gets. But for me the whole experience which justified the premium has changed. Pool is great but often too busy for a meaningful swim session and you can’t even be sure of finding space to park your bum in the small (and often fetid) sauna.

Positive experience: Over hyped fitness club with lots of issues. Difficult to find, poorly maintained (like all Virgin clubs). Nice pool but poorly designed features distract from that in practice. Pool walls make waves making swimming in lines uncomfortable. Weak shower pressure makes for long and ineffective showers. Uncomfortable steam room with seats too high.Suits young and undiscerning fit crowd. Not so suitable for the elders of the community. Some safety issues could be improved. Nice location in pleasant park surroundings and suits office dwellers in the adjacent area. Otherwise its a bit out of the way. Over priced. Sultry staff.

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in the area, really enjoy it here. The staff are extremely friendly loads of equipment and so many classes to choose from. The only reason I thought about not rating the full 5 stars is because there seems to be a lot of issues with the jacuzzi so it’s 50/50 if it’s closed when you visit, but sauna and steam room always seems to be on so it’s all good

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting customer service from the Chiswick Park branch. I was a standard member (Joined October 2020), who switched to a corporate membership late 2021. When I left the company that I had the corporate membership with I wanted to revert back to my previous standard membership (having been a member for 2+ years, I didn't want to tie myself into another 12 month contract/high priced rolling contract). Unsurprisingly, my contract was cancelled (without my permission) and I now have to re-sign up for anther 12 months or a more expensive rolling contract.... Imagine that. And now I am in the middle of a game of 'it's their fault'

Negative experience: I am cancelling my membership. Rude staff (the other day I was about to use some equipment after waiting for almost 5 minutes) when all of a sudden a personal trainer comes up and says "we are next". The gym is always packed, it is almost impossilble to use the grid area as it is always used for classes, the smell everywhere is repulsive. Some equipment remains broken for weeks. The weight room is tiny, always crowded. Don't waste your money.

Negative experience: Nice club but unfortunately let down by the way the spa area is mismanaged. No rules how to use the sauna and steam room, People do not use towels under their bodies, sweating all over the place, enter with flip flops and even go on the benches. Loud chatting, and doing some weird exercising. Totally unclean and unhealthy. Try to have this behaviour in any European continantal spas and you will be kicked out immediately Pointed the situation out to the managers, being told that also other customers compiained. Nothing was done as there are ...no basic higienic rules anyway. Shamefull Update Thanks for the reply just proves the point, no basic hygiene standards for public spas area.

Fantastic experience: One of the best virgin actives I've been to, especially as it's not in the premium group so you didn't pay extra. Great gym, plenty of space to train. Equipment is quite good. The glass building and surrounding greenery make it an almost outdoor bucolic atmosphere. It has a large pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi to help you relax or soothe after a workout. The classes here are great and it has its own yoga studio. Only downside is that although it has a car park, it is small and you can wait for a space for a while until you can get in and park.

Negative experience: The parking situation at this gym is an absolute disgrace. It's charges over 4 figures per year which in the current climate is so much money, and can't even offer sufficient parking. To make matters worse, there are literally hundreds of spaces dotted throughout the business Park that are left unused. Surely some negotiation needs to be done to allow people to park. Especially when I have seen numerous parking tickets being handed out in recent weeks. Quick enough to charge people £100 if they don't have their permit shown correctly, but can't offer enough spaces for park on a regular basis. Additionally to say a third party looks after the parking is a cop out. You are charging people thousands to use that facility. You should be pro actively making it your issue

Negative experience: My partner and I live in between this club & the Chiswick Riverside (which we’re not eligible for) I use the pool & sauna area every time I come here which is on average every other day. We can’t justify paying the current rate for this month if the pool & sauna area are unavailable for 1/3 of the month. UPDATE: I’m fully aware of the email that was sent to us before the 10 day closure and I responded to it, expressing my concerns unfortunately haven’t had a reply. Negative experience: Parking is absolutely awful. Theres about 15 spaces allocated for the entire gym. If there isn't space you have to queue up in your car and wait for around -30 minutes until its your turn for a parking space. This is before, entering the gym... The gym itself is Ok. Nothing special but has the essentials.

Parking is then offered to our members on a first-come-first-serve basis. Outside of peak hours we are normally able to provide adequate parking spaces. Negative experience: Shame!! After long 12 years of being member cancelled my membership today as the standards in this club are down on the floor now. The constant nasty smell in the showers and Changing room that hasn't been resolved in a long long time, the poor management regarding the gym floor and stuff for example the weights are always all over the place and sometimes impossible to find them and no one to sort them out, broken machines haven't been fixed in a while now or the cleaners coming hoovering underneath your legs as your working out and when I asked the don't you have to do this after everyone is out and he says but then I go home late. No care about the members what so ever. Have complained multiple times and always told someone will contact you and never happened. Also huge security issues since lockers been raided multiple times. Over all don't waste your money here because you don't get your money's value at all.

Positive experience: It's good, member since 2019. But some areas to be improved, for example there is a row of lockers been used by the employees. That's the best location for the lockers. Lots of lockers are there all the time, made it more difficult for the rest of customers to take advantage. The poor rather small, so have to pick the quiet time.

Negative experience: Be careful what you put in the lockers, had my wallet stolen at this club yesterday. Came back from my session to see no lock on my locker, and my card holder was gone. At the time 2-3 other members also had their lockers broken into. I'd also mention that I saw the cleaner in the changing room with red bolt cutters?... which seemed very suspicious. The club need to up their security for member as this is a pricey gym... and you would expect some level of security.

Negative experience: They will let/help people steal your things! Multiple members had their lockers emptied and thousands taken from their banks. Somehow the thieves knew how to get in? And for some interesting reason Virgin Active refuses to share or even look at the CCTV. Seems like it's employees themselves that have done this.

Fantastic experience: I love this place. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get in shape. Amazing gym and workouts! The staff here is incredibly friendly and qualified! They know how to push you to the limit in the best way possible with your workouts. You will not leave disappointed! Jaimie Rowan and Mikey Howe are the best tutors in Grid training. These trainers are really awesome and helpful, they make you feel really comfortable. The 45 min training goes super fast and you really enjoy doing it. Everyday is a new training, so it is never boring. Trainers are there to personally get to know you and push you in the right way. It’s a hard workout with happy people! And I am seeing results for sure. Luke is excellent personal training. Trainer who really care and go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. Jasmine Dorsett is super nice on her Barre classes and take an interest in you no matter what fitness level you’re at. I really like how she give me tips and tricks to get the most out of every session. I’ve been going for a little bit and I am already seeing a big change in my energy levels and body. It’s great! It’s a life changing gym experience and I recommend it highly to all my fiends.

Negative experience: Not only are the cleaning standards (speaking for just the men's changing rooms) falling rapidly off a cliff but how a gym you pay over £1100 a year for at Virgin Active Chiswick Park has "run out of towels" to the point a member of staff offered me a couple of flannel like sweat towels for once I'd finished in the pool. Which is seriously astonishing, i had to walk out because i didnt bring a towel. What a joke this club is becoming seriously! If Acton David Lloyd was a touch closer I'd be moving back to that gym asap at least standards are maintained there.

Positive experience: I cannot think why I should rate it 5*. It: Is clean Offers a great range of fitness activities Offers a nice 25 meters long fairly clean swimming pool. Perhaps the swimming pool is only 4*. Because as a regular swimmer I find that sometimes water does not feel crystal clear and clean.

Positive experience: Tightly spaced weight section in my opinion in compared to other virgin clubs, pool was extremely saturated with chlorine and other chemicals to the point of smelling like chlorine after 2 showers 2 hours later. Facilities as expected but there is a lackluster feeling compared to other clubs. To be fair they were under renovation when i visited.

Negative experience: Unbelievable bad experience at this club. Today I checked in my Virgin app where everything is updated, the closing time was and is at 22.00. I arrived at 20.00 and they kicked me out. It closes at 20.00 and the website is not updated, they tell me at the reception. For such an expensive gym this can't be true! I am ashamed and will cancel my subscription.

Negative experience: Terrible management. On the 18th of January, I fell outside the gym in the evening because there was enough light or sign for the step. I sprained my ankle and couldn't walk. I thought if I put ice, that would get better; after one week, it didn't get better, and I emailed the gym asking for my membership to be frozen because I couldn't walk. Darrell said it would take one week to freeze even though I explained it was due to an accident, not something I could have predicted, so I paid for half a month without using the gym because I was injured, and it took an extra week to freeze the membership effectively. £50 wasted. On the 17th of February, I was still not recovered and sent an email requesting the membership to be frozen for an extra month. No reply to my email, so I chased once more because it was the end of the month, and I didn't want to be charged again without using the gym. I didn't hear from Darrell until the 28th of February when the money was already taken from my account. I immediately told him that I wanted my money back, and he said he would request it to be returned. Twenty days passed, and I didn’t receive my money back, so I decided to ask where was my money. No answer. Every time I needed to speak with Darrell, I sent two emails; he only replies to the second one. Then, he said he requested the money back to my account, but my gym account, so the credit was there for when I felt better to go back to the gym. Why would I request my money to be held with the gym if I'm not using the gym? So I realised that common sense it's not so common. It took me 45 days and more than 15 emails during this time to have my money back to my account, minus £7.50 per month, to freeze the membership, even though the reason that I needed to freeze it was that I was injured. The total of £22.50 was discounted from the money they unauthorised took from my account, as it was supposed to be frozen. After making this mistake and making me waste my time, stress, and everything, Darrell offered me two gym passes as a gest of goodwill. Exchanged at least 15 emails to get my money back 45 days after it was incorrectly and unauthorised debited from my account. (my time was wasted for no reason apart from him not seeing his email on time to request my membership be frozen. Request sent on the 17th of February, ten days before the money was taken from my account ) I am paying £7.50 per month to keep the membership frozen, even though the reason is an accident. £22.50 until now, which I don't believe I should be charged. I have been put through all this stress to sort out a simple thing. The only thing he can offer me is two free passes. Darrell said that I have my money back, and he honestly doesn’t know why I should be compensated. I’m super disappointed and keen to leave the gym. I didn’t do it yet, because it’s the most convenient place, from where I live.

Negative experience: Nice pool area but it’s a shame about the constant bad smell in the female showers. The bad sewage like smell coming from the drains that lingers in the whole changing room seems to get worse every time despite always seeing cleaner hosing down showers. We are unable to understand where the smell would be coming from, however we'll continue monitoring the situation.
