Negative experience: Unethical Billing and Nonexistent Customer Service My experience with Snap Fitness Chiswick has been beyond disappointing. After canceling my membership, they continued charging me for an additional two months without my consent. I’ve tried to reach out multiple times—called several times, emailed with no response, and even visited in person. The staff either reply extremely slowly or simply don’t respond to emails at all, which has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Since they have lied to me about my refund, I have had to escalate the matter. I contacted my bank, which is now investigating the unauthorized charges, and I’ve even involved the courts, as I am determined to pursue this legally. This entire ordeal has shown me that Snap Chiswick does not value its customers and has no sense of accountability. It’s incredibly frustrating to see a business treat its customers this way. This isn't just a one-time error—it's poor management and a lack of integrity in handling client accounts. I expected a reputable gym to take care of their members, but it seems they are more interested in taking advantage of them. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for honest or reliable service. Be careful, or you might end up paying for more than you signed up for, and you’ll get no support from them if there’s an issue.
Negative experience: Be aware of Snap Fitness commercial practices! Even though I opted for a month-to-month membership (cancel anytime they say) when I asked to cancel my membership I was told I there's a 30-day notice before my membership is effectively canceled. If you plan on joining know you'll need to plan your cancelation way ahead, otherwise you'll be paying for an unused membership against your will. Wish there was a Pure Gym in Chiswick. What a shame!

Negative experience: One of the worst Experiences i have had in signing up to a membership,, the phone is never answered, the Buzzer never answered. Nobody at all present to answer you, came on a Saturday lunchtime three weeks in a row. Have given up on signing with this gym now after this experience.

Negative experience: I do not recommend you sign up with this gym. When I arrived to Chiswick for the first time I chose them because the manager Peter treated me and invited me to try this gym BUT he mentioned that I was able to “have a trial” for 13 days but it wasn't true, they charged me for the entire month!! if you use it for more than 7 days they will charge all and you have more Choices in the area. It's all about marketing. Spencer read my emails and rarely replied to my concerns, just typical contract staff but not customer service. also he refused to contact me with the manager who spoke with me regarding my situation of being at the gym for a short time of period and have my money back after my trial The contract explains it in little letters but is not a word trust. Make sure to read the contract very well about how much your bill would be. It's not like the best gym ever!.

Fantastic experience: I work nearby and popped in to have a look around as I'm moving nearby in the next few months, so wanted to look at local gyms. I was really impressed with Spencer, who took time showing me around and explaining the equipment, it's nice to have someone that knows what they are on about as I find this lacking in some gyms. I work in sales and as the saying goes people buy from people, so on the back on my tour with Spencer I would definitely sign up once I move to the area. Great small gym the only negative is it's a bit tired in places but I'm sure this will be dealt with soon.

Fantastic experience: I give 5 stars due to the fact that from the day I signed up in November 2023 until today I have always been well received, specifically by Spencer. Spencer always pays attention to me and the gym's clients, he made me feel welcomed and welcomed from the beginning. Spencer is a very professional person, he pays attention to the workouts of clients who sometimes need professional help. Spencer is a delicate and respectful person. Some suggestions I made regarding the arrangement of equipment were listened to and the positioning was changed accordingly for a better and more efficient performance of the workout. I have to thank Spencer for being not only an excellent professional, but also an incredible human being. Every day I enter the gym, I am greeted by Spencer and the atmosphere inside the gym has a positive vibe thanks to him and his dedication both professionally and personally. Thank you very much to Spencer, as he has made me want to go to the gym every day after I went through a very delicate situation on a personal level. By the way I am Portuguese and at no point have I felt excluded because I am a foreigner, on the contrary, I have always been heard and well received.

Negative experience: Former member who contemplated renewing my membership however the gym as previously stated is no longer kept clean to the standards it once had. The machines are dated and don’t look as if they’ve been maintained well. The gym manager was very cold and not welcoming, didn’t really present an atmosphere I’d like to train in. The PT I used before has since left and if he hasn’t stayed then I think it’s best to look else where. Was a very good gym in the past, looks like a shell of its former self now

Negative experience: I recently experienced the most appalling customer service of my life. To provide some context, I've been a member at this gym for over two years with a gympass which that doesn't grant me direct access; instead, I have to ring the bell and wait for someone to let me in. I've always had a positive rapport with the staff. However, today, as usual, I rang the bell and received no response, so I rang again, and eventually someone opened the door. When I approached the reception, Spencer, who was on duty, greeted me in an incredibly rude manner, without a simple hello. Instead, he sharply remarked that I should only ring once. I tried to explain that sometimes the staff doesn't hear the first ring, and I've been advised by other staff to ring 2 or 3 times if necessary. However, Spencer abruptly declared that I wasn't allowed to use the gym and threatened not to let me in. When I asked for the reason behind his decision and stated that I would still proceed with my workout, he became even more aggressive, threatening to involve his manager and even the police for trespassing. It was completely baffling and escalated further when he menacingly declared that I wouldn't be allowed back. I'm left wondering how someone with such aggression, unprofessionalism, and rudeness could be employed in a customer-facing role. I've never been treated so poorly, and I'm still in shock over his appalling attitude.

Negative experience: Snap fitness 24/7 - closed at 23:00 I've been a client at this gym for nearly two years, and unfortunately, my review has accumulated over time. I've decided to share my experience to help others make an informed decision about whether to choose this facility or not. Firstly, the gym is quite old, lacking any distinctive features, yet the prices are above average. Considering the recent opening of several new, well-maintained gyms nearby with modern equipment and lower prices, it's hard to justify the cost. The walls are dirty with visible damages, and the showers are consistently broken and covered in mold. rubbish bins emptied only once a week (checked a week after and my botthe was there). Soap dispensers are either empty or constantly leaking. The cleaning products provided are of cheap quality. I have never witnessed the staff proactively cleaning the equipment; instead, they provide wipes and sprays, insisting clients clean it themselves. Managers seem to change frequently, likely due to dissatisfaction with working conditions. I have raised these issues with the area manager, but despite promises of improvement, nothing has changed. The last email a month ago even wasn’t responded. The only reason I could give one star is for the existence of private changing booths with showers, despite their dirtiness and mold issues. During my time as a client (with several months prepaid yet), I encountered two significant problems. Firstly, a gift of a year-long session was purchased for me, but the payment was not recorded despite confirmation. It took six months to resolve this issue without access. The second situation arose when I requested to freeze my membership for a few additional months due to health and personal reasons (in charge of following year). A receptionist (whom I had not seen before) responded rudely, expressing dissatisfaction with such requests and flatly stated that I would achieve nothing. This unexpected and impolite response led me to burn five months of my membership. Ultimately, the decision to attend this gym is yours, but I strongly advise considering the many superior options available in the vicinity. Attached are photos for reference.

Negative experience: This is the most awful gym I have ever encountered. My mother used to go here for one or two years and we eventually realized that they were double charging for her membership for six months or so. We tried to cancel the membership and they kept charging us for months. We called and emailed them dozens of times and went in person begging them to stop. They kept charging her even though they told us many times that they would cancel the membership. We started going to the bank and getting refunds of the charges until they gave up many months later. Awful scammer behavior. BEWARE !!

Negative experience: I was at this gym for over half a year. You pay for what you get. Small range of machines but few of each. With it being in a basement it always felt dingy Don't know if it was a air filter that needed cleaning but I would constantly sneeze when there. However, my review it mostly for the poor customer support. Whenever I tried to go to the desk for assistance there was no one there 80% of the time. I rang up to cancel my membership (as I was moving away), the staff member told me it was done and a call 2 days later also confirmed the cancellation. So I was surprised to see that I was still being charged for the gym 2 months on. Contacting by slow email response to find out why. I was told I wasn't able to cancel by phone and could only be done via email or in person. To cancel the membership then would cost me another 2 months worth (1 due to slow response in support convo). Rightly so I was irate that I had paid for these extra months in the mindset that the membership was cancelled that I was assured over the phone. also without actually using the gym at all. I was down £200, as I was not informed over the phone that I had to come in to cancel or email.

As outlined in our T&Cs presented at the point of sign up, there are two options when it comes to cancellation. You can (1) visit the gym and see a member of staff to fill out a cancellation form or (2) email us at [email protected] Unfortunately, we do not accept cancellation over the phone as this does not leave any written record or proof of cancellation - which should have been relayed to you over the phone. If you can provide any proof of cancellation prior to the final date of termination, we are more than happy to refund the overcharges. Our email cancellation policy states that the initial email detailing that you wish to cancel should mark the start of our 30 day cancellation period. Negative experience: if I could give no starts I would if I could give no starts I would! the gym is an actual disgrace! Dirty, smelly, and with bad and unprofessional staff. The classes are a complete joke and the fees are an extortion. Also for a gym as bad as this one to have a 30 days cancelation notice is a complete joke! Please do yourself a favour and don't join this Gym, if you can call it that!

Negative experience: came from the one in lancaster, now i’ve moved to west london. absolutely embarrassing. the manager in lancaster wouldn’t let the gym be in the state this one is in 90% of the time. only a handful of respectful members, and distracted staff means a messy gym all the time. having to rerack someone else’s weights before you can even start your workout. it’s terrible. fix up. gonna have to move gyms SOON cos it’s driving me crazy

Negative experience: Have just left and moved to another local gym. The place is often dirty, especially the showers and toilets - hairs left all over the bathrooms where people have been shaving goodness knows what, shampoo, soap and toilet rolls often ran out and not replaced and when you flag this to a member of staff (if they aren’t too busy working out) you get a shoulder shrug and that’s it. But the main reason I’m leaving is the staff - with the exception of one they are all extremely rude, disinterested and totally disconnected from their customers, they never look up from their phones on the front desk to say hello or even make eye contact, when you need help it’s obvious this is a big inconvenience to them and they have their obvious favourites, the typical gym crowd that they will make the effort to engage with - if that isn’t you, you won’t get a smile. It’s basically like being around a load of cliquey PE teachers at school again. Staff often appear not at the desk to help, but working out themselves, headphones off and not bothered. One time one of the staff accidentally turned off my cross trainer to plug in a hoover, didn’t apologise or even make eye contact - it was bizarre. Do not go here - the whole atmosphere is dire, and from looking at other reviews, I am not the first to notice this.

Negative experience: If I could I would leave 0 stars. I find quite disappointing that yet another Manager is leaving the club. I initially signed up in October 22, and only after Aikeem became manager I decided to commit to a year contract. Thanks to him, we now have more classes (big shout out to Junior, best PT!) as well as an enjoyable vibe. Aikeem’s positive attitude and professionalism will be missed. The lack of consistency will see the club losing members.

Negative experience: As far as equipment and gym floor setup, this place is average. It has most of what you need, it is crowded in areas where the machines are too close together, for example by the weight area and the benches, and by the leg press/adductor/abductor/lat machine. Unfortunately it is the people that have made me give it a less than average rating. There is hardly any staff there ever, so nobody greeting you or monitoring anything. Then there are the members, which are just rude, unaware and self entitled human beings. On several occasions I have been working on a machine and then walked away for a few seconds for water or to do a double set on another, only to come back to somebody having already moved in on the machine. The behavior has repeated itself with different people no less than 5 times. including this morning. The problem is, the gym is not even busy, it's people are literally zombies in there. Nobody pays attention to anything, including themselves or others, nobody talks to each other to ask if someone is on a machine, never mind look to see that people's things are next to the machine possibly giving a clue that it is in use. It is hard to be motivated to work out there because it is so depressing and downright bleak. Fitness is about energy, releasing endorphins and working to feel good about yourself. This place is SUCH a downer- it captures perfectly the general mood of the entire country. Everyone pretending but not doing anything to make life better. Kinda hard to feel good about working out in such a space.

Fantastic experience: I joined Snap Fitness Chiswick in December 2022 and liking it so far. I do mostly the fitness classes and am enjoying those. Also a fairly good selection of gym equipment with recent additional machines.
Negative experience: I am fuming right now. I have cancelled my agreement doing everything I was told I should do within the time frame mentioned in the agreement. ("Cooling off period" Canceling within the 2 weeks of starting would have me refund whatever I paid minus the days I used the gym). Not only wasn't I not refund anything, but now I have been charged for the following month too! And this would keep going unless I block my credit card and change it, as no one has been answering my emails about this matter! After seeing other reviews with similar experiences I expressed my concern with the stuff before signing up and after cancellation, and they assured me that all was gonna be fine and the reviews were old and pertaining previous management. I don't regret anything in my life apart from having joined this gym. What a disgrace. If you like to waste your money and more importantly your precious time, go ahead and join Snap Fitness.

Positive experience: Not bad gym with lots of good equipment. I'd love to see couple improvements in the future. 1. Bench for bench press is only one there. And it's outdated, not good to enjoy the whole process. There should be at least 2, cause one is almost always occupied. And it should be for pro with regulated height. 2. Improve your payments system. Why should I tell you my cvv code at the desk? That's not secure and disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for Snap Fitness a while back and had a personal trainer for about 6 months. The sign up, introduction and journey so far has been great. My PT, Junior created an exercise plan to suit my needs and achieve my goals, and has been extremely supportive. Others in the gym are always very nice and welcoming. The gym has all the appropriate equipment, and although it's not the biggest gym out there the equipment isn't rammed together like some gyms and is always clean.
Fantastic experience: I still go there everyday. The classes are fun and engaging and non repetitive. And the timings are long enough to cater to every type of individual.
Negative experience: Terrible, I won’t be joining Snap Fitness ever again. Make sure you join with a credit card that protects you because this gym will continue to charge you even after cancelling. I was a loyal member of this gym for three years and it was fine. Cancelled my membership with confirmation via email in July with last payment in August. Two months later, I have been charged for a completely different membership (that was more than my original one!) for both august and September (on top of my last payment for august). I have had dozens of emails back and forth with the regional manager, who confirmed this is a mistake and I should be refunded and I have yet to see any of my money back. I’ve had to go through my bank now to get refunded and block the payments.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best gym in Chiswick With all new top of the range equipment, brilliant instructors and very friendly staff I cant recommend this place enough. The changing facilities are lovely and always well maintained, which for me makes a massive difference. Thank you to all of the staff for helping me meet my training and fitness goals.
Fantastic experience: Friendly and motivational staff that are always happy to help with a good range of equipment thats clean and well spaced out. Had a really nice trainer show me around the gym my first time, made me feel comfitable . Will be going back soon !

Negative experience: Just Ok but £50 isn't quite justified as the gym is tiny and lacks a loooooot of machines. Borderline basic really. Mobile Internet isn't the best as you are underground and wifi not always working. Music is so loud like a club, you have to turn up volume so high so you are just about to mask the awful music on their playlist. It gets so busy at during the evening but not only that, they ask you not to use some machines on the side as they use that area for a class (even though you paid to use the whole gym) Staff are very friendly, gym is clean , those are the only positives really!
Negative experience: Contract lack of clarity, sent my membership cancellation one month before (30 days notice due). It seems that was accepted, then charged me the month after. No replies to my emails and nobody answering the phone. I would rather go somewhere else.
Positive experience: Expensive in comparison to what else is on offer and in comparison to other Snap Gyms which are 24/7. Chiswick Snap Fitness 24/7 is NOT 24/7 and shuts at 11pm. Reducing my rating - 24/7 is my primary reason for using Snap. Snap being my secondary gym. It has bought me to the decision to cancel my membership at this time. I would reconsider if the price was reduced (50%) or/and if it remained open 24/7 Also is NOT much parking in the daytime hours. Though you can park in Sainsburys if you shop there.
Fantastic experience: Relatively small gym but well equipped. Good selection of classes with professional and friendly trainers who will always adapt a class based on person's ability but enough to challenge them. The place is clean and tidy. They also managed to adapt to new COVID norm extremely well. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Top marks for value for money, range and quality of equipment and cleanliness. Staff are friendly, helpful and clearly put a lot into keeping the place running well.
Negative experience: Same as other clients below, I emailed them to cancel my membership and they never responded!!! I have also been charged for September even when I requested to freeze my membership with right notice and I was reassured that I will be refunded. No refund was made and they have been ignoring my emails (3 plus 5 calls!). I WOULD NEVER HAVE JOINED HAVE I KNEW THIS CHEEKY WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS. it's a shame, as the instructors are very great. Update ! after saying they would cancel my membership I have been charged again!

Fantastic experience: I joined Snap fitness soon after moving to Chiswick over a year ago and couldn’t have found a better gym. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the gym has a nice vibe about it. Starting back up after lockdown, I’m impressed with the way they’ve started welcoming members back - feels safe and clean
Negative experience: I would be wary of signing up to this gym. I wish I had paid more attention to past reviews on FB and other online sources re cancelling membership, never being able to get through to the club because no one answers the phone or emails or knows how to deal with customer complaints or account inaccuracies. I'm still being charged membership fees even though I cancelled my membership.
Positive experience: Really nice little gym, friendly staff.
Negative experience: Same as Marni below, I emailed them to cancel my membership on 20.07 and they responded that I will be charged for August ONLY as per my 30 day notice. Since then I have also been charged for September and they have been ignoring my emails (must have sent 4-5?!). I am sure they will continue charging me to October, had to raise this with my credit card provider to challenge the charging and refund me. I hope this works. DON'T GO THERE, the flexibility they say they offer is a lie, and the customer service very poor.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership in early July, and they have continued to take money for August and September and have ignored all of my emails since then. I rang them and asked for a refund and confirmation my membership has actually been cancelled this time - they assured me they would email me back immediately but I have still received nothing. They were terrible responding to enquiries when I was an active member as well, so not sure why I'm surprised. No refund as of yet. Am sure I will end up being charged for October (and then some) as well.

Negative experience: Cancellation impossible. E-mailed to cancel in June, before they even announced when gyms would be re-opening. Without replying, they've tried to take payment in August, which they couldn't because my credit card details have changed, so added penalty fees and threatened with debt collectors. Even though I've written to them multiple times, they still refuse to cancel my membership and they even want payment for September. I dare not visit the gym at the moment, but back in the day, it was extremely filthy so this would be the last place I'd plan to spend time in given the situation. As far as I know, they also haven't resumed classes - which does make sense, of course, but then what exactly am I supposed to be paying for?

Fantastic experience: Great club, new feel with good variety of cardio, resistance and free weights. To top it off they have a good selection of functional movement equipment such as: kettle bells, rope, boxing bag and stretch areas. Wheelchair access and covid testing st the doors plus countless washing stations and hand sanitizer, very well adapted in current climate
Fantastic experience: Really good gym with everything you need. Also kept very clean.
Negative experience: Gave a notice to cancel membership 28 days in advance. 2 days less than 30, what is stated in T and C. Have to pay now two months for nothing, 45 £ each month , 90 £ total. Wrote an email, thought management will be reasonable, did not work. They claim PAYG and no commitment, but be prapared to pay for two more months when you cancel your membership. I have to admit that gym, staff and people are very good.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Friendly guests. Clean facilities, brand new equipment. Never feels too crowded, even at peak times. Good balance between male and female guests. A really enjoyable place to work out at. Highly recommended.
Negative experience: The good: New gym equipment and nice and clean shower/toilet facilities for members. Affordable compared to nearby gyms. The bad: Weights/dumbells are almost always misplaced or left out on the floor with the staff rarely replacing them which makes the gym look like a mess even at the start of the day. Staff do not care about this. Gym members often do not use gym towels and the staff do not enforce them to which leads to sweat on the equipment.. poor gym etiquette overall. On occasion the gym has not opened when advertised on a weekend (+1hr late) seemingly for no reason which is unacceptable. Source: I was a member for a year.
Fantastic experience: A great place to workout on the weekend as you are practically on your own.
Negative experience: I've been trying to cancel my membership all week and have been advised that it can only be done in person at the gym. Since then I have been down there twice at pre-arranged time to cancel however there was no one there to process my request despite waiting around for 45 mins each time. I have left a written note for the manager to contact me but still not had a call - it's been 3 days now.
Negative experience: I feel bad for writing this review, but the staff is very distracting and loud. Not much help unless you pay for classes. Really makes me feel off whenever I go to train. Gym is small, but not many people go there so it's not an issue. I sent them a message about how noisy the staff is but no response. Considering cancelling if there weren't such few decent gyms around
Fantastic experience: Super clean and rarely very busy. Great example of a middle tear health club.
Fantastic experience: I'm loving working out here. The private capsules of changing rooms and showers really does make it better. Comfortable too
Positive experience: It's a good gym with very good staff but I was disappointed when they revealed that it isn't (yet) 24/7 as advertised. Otherwise my only complaint is that there is a lack of changing room and shower space, but that is a limitation of the property, not the gym itself.
Positive experience: Good gym, friendly staff, good equipment, and a good range of classes available. The place is wheelchair accessible and there are good shower facilities. The gym can feel a little cramped at peak times though because it is relatively small.

Positive experience: ♿️✅The front door is a bit tricky as it does not automatically open, you'll need to swipe your card and open the door yourself. However they do have a lift to help you downstairs and a nice disabled toilet. The space between the machines, benches is quite reasonable as well. Signed up here for a 12 month contract, the staff were really helpful and let me know of any questions I had. Have been coming here for 2 months now and love how it's progressed, sure there were some teething problems at the start when it opened as bit everything was setup but I feel like they have it all up and running well now! They have a great weight section with loads of benches, loads of machines and a great stretching spot. The club also has an activities room where you can program an activity and follow it in the class room, often There will be classes held here that you can join as well. The amenities are well kept with a great shower in each change room, they also have some ghd hair products in the change rooms. The only one thing id suggest would be to have some fun nights once and a while to meet the staff and others in the gym, had this every now and then with my old gym and loved it, Halloween etc, use the activities room for some snacks etc and have a chat, great way to bond with others in the gym!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, very clean and modern high tech equipment. Staff are very freindly and welcoming and unique individual changing rooms are amazing. I would definitely recommend snap fitnsss chiswick to anyone looking for a gym in the area. It is great that they keep the gyms quiet meaning your not waiting around for equipment like some gyms I've been to.

Negative experience: This is probably the worst gym in West London. I never had so bad experience with an unprofessional opening, equipment, unisex changing rooms, lack of hangers, faulty pipes, manager approach, misleading advertising and cancellation process. I signed up in May online in good faith that it will be opened in mid of June and as advertised, the gym finally was opened at the end of July and I had the opportunity to discover for the first time that the gym is not 24/7, had a unisex changing room which is very inconvenient and most people do not like it, the lockers are so small without hangers so if you come in the nice suit and shirt you will need to iron everything, the equipment was not delivered on time, some machines were not ready, one waste pipe broke and some s..t almost hit the girl on the bike, the cancellation process is very complicated, so before you join this gym think 3 times. Maybe in the future, they will improve but at the moment better to avoid.

Fantastic experience: The gym is not very big, but the equipment is brand new, changing rooms (there are actually private changing cabins instead of locker rooms, the gym philosophy is that everything is meant to be "snappy") are clean, staff are friendly and there is a good selection of classes included in the membership. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a no-frills gym.
