Negative experience: Was there as my daughters friend had a rock climbing party yesterday. Male worker with long brown hair at the tea point was extremely rude, hostile shouting at me across the room when I asked if he was closed and then when I asked if there was a vending machine. He then went on to be confrontational. Disgusting negative
Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Tried calling all morning to ask about clip and climb. No answer. Turned up was turned away and the staff couldn't care less. Will not be coming again.
Fantastic experience: Used only swimming pool, It was clean, nice and warm air and water, music wasn't very loud which was good, very friendly and helpful staff. Only small negative is that you have to pay for parking (only first 30min is free).

Positive experience: Car park is chargeable and no concessions for centre members. £1 per hour - £6 all day. Decent average gym, sizeable pool, slow, medium, fast lanes which need to be booked. The spa is really refreshing, which was my favourite. Various membership options and concessions for NHS / Blue light staff.great fir families and young kids, which is what the majority of the centre is for. This facility can work out as expensive. However, it's better than many in a 10-mile radius. if it's for you, then give it a go.
Negative experience: Swimming pool great, however the whole experience is made inexcusable by the front of house staff. Very rude, constantly chatting to each other, and ignoring the customers waiting. Perhaps they should remember that we are paying their wages.
Negative experience: Staff here are extremely rude and inconsiderate as soon as you walk in the door. I have only had a good experience with one member (who is fairly new) and the rest have made me feel and others feel uncomfortable and not at all welcome.

Positive experience: Had a girls day out spa experience. Came on a Saturday so cudnt have access to the pool until afternoon. Isn't much in the spa itself so was bored. Was very short staffed so all drinks had to be served in take out cups in the cafe and staff were running between reception and cafe.
Negative experience: Thurs 11th Jan.. Currently on attempt 7 at contacting the venue and leaving voicemails.. no call back yet .. trying to book in swimming for 4pm.. app & website locked me out.. says call for help.. no one home.. the saga continues... calling again in another hour..
Negative experience: The negative review isn’t directed at any staff or individuals working out of the building or working within the facilities , but to find out more I’ve had over 700 taken out my account from everyone active even thought I’ve cancelled my membership and direct debit is shocking , I’ve spoken to the new manager who assured me it would be sorted and refunded by the end of November but to then check my account to any other payment was taken in December

Negative experience: Stage 3 swimming is ridiculous, 8 or more kids in a tiny area, 3 strokes and there at the other end of the area, no wonder development is so slow here. Also pool has been very cold lately. The app to monitor process is absolutely useless.

Negative experience: SHAMBLES, POORLY RUN, OVERCROWDED, INCOMPETENT RUDE STAFF, NO LEADERSHIP! NO STAR REVIEW! This centre is beyond dreadful and unfortunately it is down to poor staff and management. Avoid swimming lessons for your child. They are overcrowded and the so called swimming teachers are unprofessional, uninterested and completely inexperienced. One teacher in particular spends lessons shouting negativity at the children advising them of their faults constantly, what they are doing wrong and generally making them miserable.Completely wrong when dealing with 6-7 year olds who need a positive influence. There is no encouragement, no guidance and no real professional teaching. The teachers are mostly centre staff that have done a basic course, so the centre can overcrowd the lessons and rake in the cash. Something also needs to be said about the staff who man the front desks, many of which are incompetent and there seems to be a running theme with rudeness. When you approach the reception desk you are mostly met with ignorance and avoidance of any form of basic enquiry. If you are thinking of joining this gym, also be wary of the membership team which is managed abysmally. Again, like swimming classes many of the staff have received insufficient training and in turn they do not explain the terms of membership to you or how anything works. If you raise any issue you will be met with defiance and a complete lack of understanding. The lady who thinks she runs membership is dreadful. Probably the worst display of customer service at a so called management level I have ever seen. Previously I have witnessed how she dealt with a complaint which was completely dismissive, defensive and rude. The customer left looking extremely upset and from the looks of it the manager was pretty pleased with herself which is a disgrace. Whoever runs this gym needs to be mindful of the staff who are the front face of this centre because it is ruining your reputation, losing you customers and income. The gym has no passion, no drive and no positivity which is a shame because it should be a hub for the local community. Everything a centre like this should be, it is not! As a result, I will like many others not be using the facilities again. EVERYONE ACTIVE should go on undercover boss and I am sure it would be an eye opener. If this was my business or franchise I would be extremely concerned. I would be sacking a number of people immediately and investing in training of those who want to be there. Final FYI for the cleaning team - the last changing cubicle on the left hand side of the Mens changing rooms has had someones snot wiped on the tiled wall now for the past 5 weeks!
Negative experience: If your looking for swim lessons for your kids don’t bother the teacher my son had (Jane) had no patience at all and is so rude and made my son cry he lost the confidence but now goes somewhere else her teaching is poor she don’t have the patience or skills to correct the learning and over crowding lessons just not worth it glad I found some where more suited for my boy. She’s so rude and unprofessional

Negative experience: I agree with many others Angie on membership team is vile, i left there in tears last year after just wanting to change my direct debit she kept sending me the rejoin link instead and after i complained suddenly sent the direct debit link. when i went to talk her i was met with a negative attitude and many remarks that she didn’t have time for me and hadn’t had her lunch, i was about to say well I will go to my class and you can have your lunch and she was rude again. The other lady tried to help me but she appeared again and was rude again so i left and never went back. Still waiting for management to apologise.
Negative experience: Why don’t they EVER answer the phones? Doesn’t matter what time of day or week it is, you can guarantee you won’t be able to get through to a single person. The most frustrating thing ever when I need to get in touch. Staff are unfriendly and sometimes rude. Communication is awful and I’m so unimpressed!

Fantastic experience: Really excellent party this weekend..staff were great. All very helpful and patient with the children, some of whom were more nervous than others. It was a group of mainly 5 and 6 year old boys and they absolutely loved the experience. All staff were welcoming and organised. They explained everything clearly and were on hand to support the party host at all times.

Negative experience: The only reason they get 1 star is because you have to give them 1 to start the review. I would never recommend this place to anyone , they are really rude if you are having problems scanning yourself in there is no help at all when you finally get someone ( a lady with blonde/pinkish hair) she is very rude , getting all up in your face and trying to take your phone of you to see what problems your having when you have finally had enough and leave the place sees waving her hands saying whats the problem . Very rude woman . You all need to learn abit of customer service

Negative experience: Swimming lessons are very squashed my child is in a group of 9 and they all get crammed in to one small lane next to a swimming club on a Sunday with high speed swimmers causing a wave effect and also there arms going in to our lane nearly taking the children out which aged between 5 and 6 . This issue as been raised with higher management yet the swimming manager Emma don’t respond to messages left by her own staff and the manager looked at this and still no change . What will it take for them to listen that a child is going to get hurt . Stay clear of this swimming facility for safety issues and a management team that couldn’t care less other than ramming the most into a swimming pool.
Positive experience: This is my local sports centre. I have been attending since it opened. I use the centre 2–4 times a week. I wish that there was more lane swimming times available and that they pool opened earlier. The showers for the pool have become tatty since it opened which you’d expect but I do recall there being flying ants in the showers on one occasion. This hasn’t happened since though. Also I have had some issues with the virtual spinning classes which have not always worked or have been delayed by 15 minutes or so. I would ideally prefer an instructor led spin class however there are limited classes available. They did run an instructor led spin class on a Saturday morning for a few weeks but this class was cancelled despite the class being busy. I haven’t used the gym in a few months but the last time I used it had everything I needed. I have heard from a friend the body pump classes are good. There are a few free parking spaces on the street but if your not lucky enough to get one you have to pay on the council car park next to the centre. The staff are generally ok , a mixture, some friendly and some not that friendly. The friendliest staff member is the gym instructor chap who I think is called Russ, he always makes an effort to say hello. All in all the centre is ok and convenient.

Fantastic experience: Amazing venue, the app is simple and easy to book classes or sessions even close to start times. Plenty of lockers available. Showers and changing facilities are good. Spa suite excellent and a good size. Staff and instructors friendly and helpful. All inclusive feel all ages and abilities taking part which was nice to see, obviously appreciated and well used by the whole community.

Negative experience: An absolute shambles. Rude customer service. Head office acknowledged that I am entitled to a full refund, but I have been tasked with chasing this up with my bank and WorldPay because Everyone Active is too lax to put right what they got wrong. Just as well there are other centres nearby with more flexible timetables.

Positive experience: Have got used to the initially disappointing upgrade and after leaving, I have rejoined with my son. I dont hate the updates anymore but still feel the rep counters are a missing addition that we're needlessly removed. Overall, objectively, very clean gym with very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Negative experience: The swimming lessons they do are excellent and I take my daughter but most other things about the swimming experience are poor. The changing area is dire, you're not meant to wear outdoor shoes but half the people don't bother and it's not policed. The showers are terrible, far too hot and spray everywhere, the one shower that can be temperature controlled is in a public area and broken. The changing cubical are okay for single people but half of them are either socking wet or covered in talcum powder. Shower cubical are very small and there are no family ones, how are you meant to shower and shower a baby too without putting them on the hair covered floor. The family changing rooms are few in number and like every other cubical they have one hook/coat hook and usually wet therefore you end up struggling to put your stuff where it won't get soaked. They must have had a shortage of hooks when they built the place, it's ridiculous. Could we have at at least two in a single cubical and 6 + in a family one. I stopped going myself when Everyone active took over as they only seem interested in selling memberships and then the new place got built which is worse in some ways. It was way better under Rivers and now if I go swimming I'd prefer to drive the 15 minutes to Droitwich, parking is free too.

Fantastic experience: Clip n Climb was fantastic, kids loved it and lots of different walls to explore. Highly recommended. (Upstairs area for party food after was spacious) with friendly staff. Will have to explore the other facilities at BSLC soon.

Asked for a refund and now apparently they have to ask headoffice if they can give me my money back even though i haven't been a member for 24 hrs yet. STAY CLEAR

Fantastic experience: Just been for my first swim with covid rules in place ,really well organised very calm atmosphere
Positive experience: Some things are really great and some - really frustrating. The centre is new and overall looks lovely, there's a wide range of classes and all the trainers are lovely and seem to be well educated on their classes which I hope is recognised. Downsides: - Pool is pretty much for kids only. There is 1 hour for adults only - Monday 9:15-10:00pm. As I have to walk quite a distance, I cannot attend the pool that late. I checked the schedule on Saturday and went to the pool at 2pm - 1 lane was reserved for kids swimming lessons, there was a fast lane, slow lane and 1/2 full of kids with inflatables even though the schedule clearly stated that the inflatables would be from 3pm. So with only 2 lanes available and slow lane being full, I moved to the fast lane as there were only 2 people there, I got told off that I need to move to a lane that matches my speed so I went back to the inflatable area and after 10 minutes of insanity I gave up and left. So as a working professional I cannot use the pool without being constantly splashed in the face and surrounded by screams. - Lockers in the pool area (if you make it that far)- each time they swallow 25p (what a random number!) so if you want to put your stuff in before swimming, put in 25p, then take out your shower gel and close it - another 25p! As a result no one uses the lockers and the center has a room full of empty lockers and bags everywhere. Meanwhile on the 1st floor, in the gym changing rooms, you can use a £1 coin that you get back. Makes no sense at all apart from pure greed which isn't working out very well. - Parking is not free so if you cannot walk you will have to pay even more. - Some areas are not very clean and smell a bit, which they really shouldn't taking how new everything is. - False cancellation fees, I cancelled a class a day or two before and they are trying to charge me for it. After the lovely pool visit, this is just a cherry on top. I really do not understand the desperation there. At this point I'm considering cancelling my membership altogether. After the pool incident and now the fees, I don't even want to hear anything about this place. - All classes are always fully booked until an hour before they start so you can always attend anyway which means the booking system just does not work. Even when you are on the waiting list and a space frees up, you are not added automatically, someone has to phone you and only then you will be added. Whilst if you spot it on the app, you can cancel and book again, which means the system clearly does not work. Like I said, some things are very lovely, but there is a lot of space for improvement, such as free parking if you have a membership, a few more adults swimming slots in the evenings as we all work, change the lockers by the pool to £1 like upstairs and that way there won't be bags everywhere, don't make YOUR members pay fees, they are not your enemy, perhaps ban them from classes for a week or so if the person constantly cancels and finally get rid of the smell in the loos. All easy fixes, but for now - only 3 stars.

Negative experience: Very disappointed arrived for my babys swimming lesson very excited.. until we got into the pool wow it's so very cold it's ok for adults but for small babies I wouldnt reccomened luckily hes 5 months and didnt cry.. staff behind reception very rude when I told her how cold the pool was said "oh he will be ok" even s staff member said how cold it is for younger babies.. feel really dissatisfied as i asked them on the phone when paying my large deposit is it warm enough... oh yes its warm enough she said. Also when getting changed the place looks unkempt and grubby.. needs a good clean up hasnt been there 5 mins such a shame staff need training or new staff hired need some customer service skills...

Fantastic experience: Bromsgrove sports and leisure centre is amazing it is so clean and the facilities are impeccable there's wheelchair access a great climbing wall the cool Cafe. The swimming pool is great there is a baby pool and a main pool with floats on at certain times of the day. I love the gym because it is also very clean and the facilities are amazing there's treadmills and weights and everything you need to have a great time and the changing rooms are nice with £1 for a locker but you get it back at the end. I really liked the price of joining to be a member at bromsgrove sports and leisure centre I can't remember exactly how much it was. you get a little everyone active member card that activates when you want to go to the gym and overall I think it was an amazing price I also really like the the staff they are so kind and welcoming when I came I got a tour around and also got an induction in the gym this is help me become more fit and I'm really happy that I joined here you can easily book for sessions there's like spin classes and there's a climbing wall so you can do climbing classes and everything you really want. You should definitely join here.
Negative experience: After looking at the online schedule we visited with my partner the gym tonight to use the training pool just to be told at the entrance that it was occupied and we could not use it. We told them than online it was saying it was available to spa members just to have someone who identified himself as the duty manager in aggressive manner telling us that there were signs all over the gym about the training pool not being open to the spa members tonight and we should have known. I told him that this was complete rubbish as we are not residing at the gym and we can only go by what is on the App as the schedule for the training pool allocation to spa members is ever fluid. And then he put on the record about not having to put up with this attitude when he was the first one to be aggressive to us. He asked us to leave the gym when i told him that we have paid our membership and we were not leaving without a refund. Then he was being presumptuous that we pay monthly when we have an annual membership. This was the third time in less than two months that this has happened. The previous time other members of staff were quite polite an apologetic. The duty manager tonight chose not to. We are looking forward to going back to our local clean David Lloyd after a year in February.

Positive experience: Facilities are excellent but they cleanliness for me is sub standard. the changing rooms first thing sunday were disgraceful and clearly left there from day before. told staff member but after my swim it was all still there. floor tiles are dirty and tired already. i wouldn't dream of walking barefoot in this place. it's just not good enough and easily fixable.

Positive experience: Quite a nice place, clean and tidy, everything works. Plain swimming pool with floats at certain times Note the swimming is now timed, no more swim as long as you like! There is a climbing centre here, not tried it but it looks cool. It is pay and display parking.
Negative experience: Extortionate kids swimming lessons. Prices keep on increasing. Latest one by 25%. Swimming pool is much smaller than before. The swimming area for lessons keeps shrinking. Children are no longer progressing up through the stages and are just left static. Removed them both.

Negative experience: Absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay £1.60 for 2 hours parking (1 hour is not enough for weightlifting) every time you want go to the gym, on top of your membership fees, for there then to be a very strong possibility that you're not going to be able to do the workout you want to do because of the small quantity of weightlifting equipment. Only one bench press, only one power rack, only one deadlifting platform. It means you're constantly waiting around for everything. Being charged £1.60 to then have an extremely poor workout in unfair. Members should be given windscreen stickers to allow free parking.
Fantastic experience: A fantastic centre that's really clean and well laid-out. The large swimming pool is lovely and the smaller one is very clever as the depth can be changed depending on the time of day. The changing rooms are great although it would be useful to have toddler seats with straps because you can't take push chairs in, which meant my little girl was crawling around all over the family room while I changed. The cafe is excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Prices are really reasonable.
