Negative experience: This place is now closed. If you have a direct debit, close it immediately.

Negative experience: This gym has now closed. Appears they put the direct debit up from £17 to £37 last month, took customer’s money and then closed the gym. Still shows online that you can join the gym. Still shows as open on Facebook and google. Members haven’t been notified the gym was closing.

Negative experience: Old broken equipment with regular promises of replacing but it never happens, recently gave two weeks notice they were increasing all memberships to £36.99, that was the last straw

Negative experience: This gym is the worst I’ve ever been in. Zero atmosphere. Everyone’s arrogant. The staff don’t care and to top it off the take money without asking out of the bank! Never answer the phone and even harlands say they are rubbish at customer services

Negative experience: Rejoined Trugym in June/July. One of the male staff was adamant that new equipment was being bought. The equipment was apparently Assault bikes, and in his words a 'Ski-row'. I think he meant a Skierg. Six months later- nothing. The rowing machines don't get maintained. Out of the three, only one works. The one that 'works' needs a clean out of the fan. The exercise bikes are older than me. Resistance machines are ok and the free weight area is half decent. The majority of the cardio equipment needs an urgent upgrade asap. Espe islly with an influx of new members in January. On a positive note, the staff are great.

Negative experience: Arrived at half 5 no one here, almost 6am and still no one has turned up. This is not acceptable when memberships is paid for the hours it should be open.

Negative experience: Went to ask various questions about membership and equipment. All she kept saying to me as she was looking at her phone, was look online. Couldn't tell me what types of equipment they had when I asked. Really unfriendly. Certainly won't be joining.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking for the Second Monday in a row all members sat outside due to the unreliable staff who can't get to work and Open up on time even though the New General Manager insisted this would never happen again, my membership is due considering not joining due to Staff Here we go again all members sitting outside as the same member of staff doesn't turn up. It seems the management are acceptance of this as it keeps happening and with no consequences to the perpetrator who keeps doing it absolutely shocking customer service

Negative experience: The gym opens at 5 am, however 2 consecutive mondays nobodys turned up to open . Appalling way to treat paying customers .

Positive experience: Bit outdated but, it's slowly getting upgraded. My own issues is that I still feel anxious working out. Feel like I'm being judged. Nowhere to hide in a corner as it's very open plan

Positive experience: I go to this gym but honestly it's gone downhill, showerheads are full of rust, in this gym there is no defibrillator , which is worrying. Machines are not great they are constantly broken and dusty, tv is not working as of freeview transmitter but watching nothing is mind boggling.Music at 5am doesn't have to be anthems trance as the young ones are asleep maybe nice gentle music or smooth radio but if you have to turn up your device headphones to drown out the headbanging tunes it's not good. So why four stars? The people in the gym . Simply great friendly people no big egos , banter a laugh a smile which some staff lack not you my Scottish person. They don't look up or engage in any talk or want to. Losing members to other gyms as everything falls on deaf ears.

Negative experience: When I joined about 3 years ago they’re were 4 exercise bikes which isn’t a lot for a gym anyway. One bike broke over 2 years ago and has never been fixed and has disappeared and an other broke before the pandemic and has been pushed out the way. Because of social distancing you can only use every other treadmill or cross trainer but most of them say “out or order”, you would think they would swap the broken ones with the social distanced ones. The owners should have sorted all this long before the pandemic started. Shame as they have such nice staff and clients.

Negative experience: trugym in Stockton is allowing youngen in big groups and not slitting them up and in the sorna rooms are only be 2 in each when you tell them there's groups in there don't slit them up

Fantastic experience: An efficient gym - it has good facilities and variety of classes, friendly staff, spacious changing rooms and a nice coffee area. All very reasonably priced - would definitely recommend.

Positive experience: Gym closes down as of today, staff dropped in it, owners should be ashamed. Staff were great and gym had a good atmosphere. Will miss it.

Positive experience: Buenas, me parece un gimnasio decente hablando en todos los sentidos, es amplió tiene variedad tanto en máquinas como en servicios ( cafés,sitio descanso, etc). Mientras el público que acude tenga sentido común en el uso de cada zona, y limpie y coloque cada cosa en su sitio sin problema.

Positive experience: Is a very nice place , good location, But the air conditioning needs to be fixed because it has been broken for ages, in the shower rooms some soap dispensers and shower heads need to be replaced. But friendly staff though.

Positive experience: It needs cleaning .... properly....not hoovering or wiping with a duster....deep cleaning The dirt and mould on the cardio machines is disgraceful.the toilets are filthy.. smell of urine...how about some air fresheners....cleaners for the urinals ... some flash on the floor might help This is the dirtiest gym ive ever been to..for some reason people are in the habit of not cleaning the sweat off machines after use

Fantastic experience: People leaving low ratings for stupid or minor problems. It's good value and spacious with plenty of classes included in the price as well as sauna and steam room. Staff are friendly and there's free tea and coffee You can't complain.

Negative experience: Cold showers, ancient broken equiment, no air conditioning, dirty... and they want £36.99 for all this Try Activ8 instead. £24.99/month with pool included too, and more classes/better equipment.

Negative experience: Been here nearly 3 years now, used to be great up until about 3 months ago, when rules started to get stupid, first of all starting with the deadlifting rule where you're not allowed to make noise, I've been warned many times now to stop deadlifts which is not going to happen because I compete in powerlifting so I have to do it, and tonight I was told we are no longer allowed to bring gym bags upstairs, which is stupid because all my gear is in that, too much to carry, other than that it's great but could do with a better bench and squat rack also add another bench, staff have always been great though

Negative experience: Pushing onto 3 weeks now without hot water for the showers. Its a joke! Be sure they'll have it sorted by the time the January rush comes though. None of the fountains are working Only 1 of the rowers are 100% working

Negative experience: No hot water at the gym for over a month as well as other maintenance issues on a regular basis. If you don't mind cold showers in December this is the gym for you.

Negative experience: Disgusted with the facilities at the minute. Two days in a row with no hot water in showers and steam room is out of order most of the time truGym you need to sort this asap as you have already been made aware yet I can't see any changes!

Fantastic experience: truGym is exactly what it says on the tin. Good value for money with lots of weight machines and cardio downstairs and free weights up. Regular classes, sauna and steam room, good clean changing facilities. Nice atmosphere.

Negative experience: To busy. Can't even get bench press been there 30 days. To many people sat at machines on fone. Changing rooms not clean at all. Only good point is cardio section is quiet most times

Negative experience: Been here for along time to say married to the place, since it's been fitness first, but over the last few years it's gone done hill, no money really being put back in, the staff are lovely but the list of things that are broken are: No Air Con, nightmare when it's hot weathernever been fixed, the two big floor fans are just pushing the hot air around, steam room door not staying shut broken, shower in relaxing area not working properly, sauna unhealthy to hot, 110 -120 have told staff but they can't seem to fix it so needs a professional to look at it, side stepper was broken has now gone so have to wait and see, l could list a few more. Price good, but if money was put back, people would stay instead of finding better?

Negative experience: I've been a member for three months and I'm an American so I may be used to a different standard of fitness centers. I find the gym to be extremely dirty. The men's urinal area floor is usually covered in urine, and I have seen mold on the bathroom sink. Last time I checked, the water fountain upstairs was broken and there was a pool of stagnant water sitting in the basin for several days. This gym does not have WiFi which I find crucial for steaming music. The equipment is borderline okay. Some of the benches are very unstable or broken. This gym does not implement a weight return policy so there are dumbells, plates, and bars strewn all over the floor - sometimes it's actually ridiculous. The treadmills are good, and I actually like the cardiovascular area. The only plus I have for this gym is I find the staff is consistently nice and helpful!
