Negative experience: Very poor customer service, they also charge a late fee and a fee for joining their 'free trial' not really great quality and not much to offer with the hefty price tag, you can get much more for less elsewhere

Fantastic experience: my son and grandson use this gym many times a week great staff who i can not fault my grandson is 14 and does boxing Sunday and Monday and kick boxing Wednesday they also turn up other times for gym work he loves it and the people he trains with are amazing its more like a social event at times but they all work so hard i sweat watching them its not too expensive and you can try it out first give it a go

Negative experience: Title: Deceptive Practices and Relentless Harassment - My Xcelerate Gym Nightmare Review: My recent encounter with Xcelerate Gym, managed by Byron Vince, has been nothing short of a nightmare. I decided to take up their 2-week trial membership offer after speaking with Byron over the phone. However, what was initially presented as a fair trial opportunity quickly turned into an ordeal that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. From the very start, I felt pressured into signing up over the phone without the chance to thoroughly consider my decision. Byron's persuasive tone left me feeling like I had to commit right then and there. Looking back, I wish I had taken more time to evaluate this choice. Unfortunately, life threw me a curveball, and I wasn't able to make use of the gym facilities during the trial period. When I attempted to cancel my trial membership due to these unforeseen circumstances, I was met with a wall of resistance. Harlands, the contract management company tied to Xcelerate Gym, began their relentless campaign of harassment, insisting that I pay for a full month's membership despite my attempts to cancel within the trial period. Byron Vince's role as the manager compounds my frustration. I had expected a more understanding and customer-centric approach from someone in his position. Instead, the disparity between the trial offer I was pitched and the subsequent demands for payment has left me deeply disillusioned. I'm sharing this review as a cautionary tale to others who may be considering Xcelerate Gym. The lack of transparency, the high-pressure tactics, and the outright refusal to acknowledge my situation have shown me a side of this gym that I never anticipated. It's disheartening to realize that the gym's management is more interested in extracting money than in fostering a positive and supportive fitness experience. In light of this experience, I strongly advise anyone to think twice before becoming involved with Xcelerate Gym. The deceptive practices and unrelenting harassment are not indicative of a reputable establishment. I hope that my review can serve as a wakeup call for the management to reevaluate their practices and truly prioritize the well-being of their potential members.

Negative experience: Have now received 3 phone calls. One saying my Direct Debit had bounced (I've never signed up), another asking me to sign up, and then another today asking me "when I'm coming back to the gym". I've asked them to take me off their calling list for the third time, let's see what happens - GDPR is not something to be ignored. UPDATE - what a pathetic response, you've copied and pasted it and not updated the part where you're meant to update your contact details [contact details here]. Amateur hour!

Negative experience: I have been a loyal member of Xcelerate for 6 months. This week i will be cancelling my membership. Recently this so called gym have set up a second unauthorised direct debit and stolen money from my bank. The main reason i have remained a member over the last few months as this gym has got progressively worse, is because of the class instructors, in particular Isam who puts on 3 excellent boxing classes a week. The gym are now refusing to pay Isam so allclasses this week for boxing have been cancelled. I have also turned up to yoga this morning to find that too has been cancelled. Spin was cancelled on thursday as well. They dont notify people booked on about the cancellations, allowing them to turn up and sit around waiting for a class that isnt even on. I have tried to address these issues in the gym and im still no closer to getting my stolen money back or finding out when the classes will be reinstated . I therefore left a comment on the gyms instagram asking, and they BLOCKED ME. How disgusting , stealing from and blocking loyal customers and refusing to pay dedicated class instructor's. You have lost me and several others as members. Hopefully this gym will soon be shut down as you are breaking several laws, there are also safeguarding issues for children here and i will be addressing this with solihull council in the coming week.

Positive experience: I have been going to this gym for a month now and I had a great experience so far. The gym is well maintained has good facilities and is well equipped. The stand out feature of xcelerate in my opinion is definitely the boxing classes. The coach, Isam's dedication and hard work are truley admirable. His enthusiasm and passion for the sport makes a motivating and positive atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: We joined this gym when it opened last year. We have two boys aged 13 and 10. We left our previous gym as we weren’t able to take the kids. The selling point for this Xcelerate gym is that it caters for the whole family. The kids classes with Isam are great fun. We are only continuing with the gym to attend Isam’s boxing classes which provide a truly fun and complete workout. Thank you to the Xcelerate management team for increasing Isam’s classes to three times a week. Sunday’s class yesterday (6th August) had 14 attending the boxing class. A big high five to Isam who kept all of us fully engaged for the full hour and it was amazing workout. On back of my recommendation, another friend joined last week. I highly recommend this gym. It caters for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Spacious and has all the equipment you’d need, the spin room is fantastic. Love the classes, especially the boxing class with Isam, he’s a very encouraging and professional instructor and the classes are always packed with amazing people. Worth every penny.

Negative experience: I came in to cancel my membership on the 1st and was told I needed to give my months notice. Completely understandable and so I did. I also paid for that month as well. The staff member at the desk assured me my membership would be cancelled and so it was with absolutely NO mention of needing to send an email. However here’s where the problems start. I am now being told that I did not follow terms and condition because i did not send an email. Then how come I came in and gave my months notice VERBALLY my membership was cancelled by the staff and I received no mention of needing to send an email. Extremely unprofessional

Negative experience: Was enjoying the gym until the good staff got sacked. I don't appreciate the way Byron the so called manager spoke to me either. Some people really need to learn manners

Negative experience: This gym has gone down hill recently due to firing of decent and friendly staff and due to the manager byron being rather rude toward my fiancée

Positive experience: Brilliant Sunday boxing class with Isam, highlight of our day and the reason we joined. Great energy and vibe. A few of the friendly front of house like Fern have gone which is a real shame as they were so welcoming and pleasant.

Negative experience: I used a day pass for this gym, but the boxing ring had a weird smell. The manager wouldn't let me leave without signing up no matter how bad I wanted to leave, think his name was Brian. The toilets weren't great, cleaned very well but the tissue was left on the on the floor and was wet when I wanted to use it. Wouldn't recommend

Negative experience: Was here a few months and I wouldn’t recommend. The music gets turned off for yoga at the busiest times. The punch bags are empty at the top. The ring stinks of feet. And I know it wasn’t me cause I had my socks on this time.

Negative experience: Tried it a few times after signing up, mirrors were like I was in a fun house. One part of the membership was access to a healthy smoothie stand which was never made. Spoke to other members and they said the mirrors were meant to be fixed 6 months ago. Their staff also have to buy supplies like toilet roll and cups out their own pocket most the time which is appalling and they end up not having any. Gym staff were lovely and helpful but Wouldn’t recommend.

Negative experience: unwelcoming and the customer service is terrible. Customer service needs to be the foundation of what makes a customer want to choose your gym over the others. Instead of listening and understanding the situation, the people of the gym are rude and filled with unnecessary attitude. If you were to cancel they literally will continue to call you and to claim money. If I were you guys I would run the other way and avoid

Fantastic experience: Since I wrote my last review I have upgraded my rating. My husband and I had many problems at first with this gym. As described below opening on time and customer service in general was very poor. Since Cindy has been opening the gym in the mornings, the customer service has been outstanding. Cindy makes us feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble for her. Thank you from Lisa and Nick I am a 58-year-old woman and recently plucked up the courage to join XCELERATE GYM Solihull. Previously quite intimidated by gym environments I was persuaded to join on the recommendation that this gym has a relaxed and friendly environment. Being on a tight schedule I need to be in the gym at 06:00 and out by 06:45 prompt. XCELERATE Solihull’s 06:00 opening time was therefore ideal. Unfortunately, the gym is almost always open late, sometimes by up to 15 mins.  This severely restricts my exercise time. After two complaints the problem seemed resolved only to have returned to late opening again very recently. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of trying to broach the matter personally with the person concerned and was met with one of the rudest responses I have ever received from someone employed in customer services. Sadly, this experience has diminished my experience of what would otherwise be a great and convenient place to exercise.

Fantastic experience: Ellie is a joy at 6am lovely and smiling, really easy to talk to, a credit to the gym, Gym is so good very well equipped, Haven’t liked other gyms found them quite pretentious.

Fantastic experience: Have been with the gym for nearly 9 months. The kids classes are perfect, very convenient allowing me to use the gym at the same time. Isam the boxing instructor is fantastic with the kids he makes the membership worth every penny, keep up the great work!

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym recently, the support from start on joining up and getting into the gym has been such a nice transition. Amelia was so incredible and got me all the details I needed she got a PT to reach out to me the same hour. Tim the PT arranged to see me and sat me down to write a workout based on my needs, he is very personable and professional. Great communication and very friendly team, Loving the atmosphere there!

Fantastic experience: The best gym experience I've ever had. All the staff are incredibly friendly and there is plenty of variations of different equipment to use, some of which I'd never seen before. The yoga classes with Chris are great and I have also been having PT sessions with Tim who has got my fitness to the best level it's been in years, couldn't recommend it enough!

Fantastic experience: I train with Tim at Solihull and he is fantastic. He takes time to understand your needs and treats everyone individually. He pushes me hard and I have achieved so much and makes me believe I can achieve so much more. I love boxing and he has given me so much confidence to get in the ring and learning different things with weights etc.

Fantastic experience: After much thought and a long delay me and my partner in crime @Juliette finally signed up and haven't been disappointed. Just completed 10 PT sessions with Tim as we weren't sure what we were doing or how to get the best out of ourselves. Not gonna lie and tell you it's been easy but it has been fun and am now feeling much fitter and a lot more confident both in and out of the gym. The sessions are nor just about what goes on in the gym, we got home sessions to do and advice on diet as and when needed. Found it so good thst we are continuing with weekly PT sessions with Tim to keep on track!

Negative experience: Despite being continually asked, the noise from this gym in specsavers is horrendous. It sounds like the ceiling is coming in.

Negative experience: Don't join this gym, it is a scammer gym. It is easy to join but difficult to leave. Leaving this scammer gym will cost you 100 pounds that they will take it from your account via third party. I wish I could choose a zero star but there is no option for that shame on them. Eventually I will go to the court if the don't refund what the have stolen from my account via third party. Rubbers.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Very good location, clean and tidy all round. The staff are all friendly, personal trainers also good. There are a good selection of classes with super Yoga teachers.

Fantastic experience: Excellent equipment, good classes and great staff. There are all kinds of memberships available, and they suit families as well as individuals. I would recommend xcelerate. The only downside is that the payments are handled badly. Twice taken when they shouldn't, once not taken at all. You really need to watch your account. But apart from that, no other problems.

Positive experience: Nice and not crowded. Good selection of workout machines. Also a boxing ring and equipment available. Even better is you get 2hrs free parking at Touchwood.

Negative experience: Absolute joke. They've been charging me since I joined up with their presale which they said they wouldn't. I still haven't received a refund. I came into the gym when it finally opened and it was a very choppy layout and weights didn't go up to 50 as promised. There were also kids running around and seemed more like a daycare than a gym... Also got a parking penalty even though I followed their instructions for parking inside Touchwood. Overall ridiculous place.

Negative experience: Con artists. Cancelled my membership when they kept lying about the date the gym was due to open despite it very clearly not being ready. We were literally shown a building site (of which the rep never turned up and the builders were all bemused), then told it would open the week after. Unrealistic. However they've still took my money since and now won't give it back. They have lied multiple times about the time it will be back in my bank. Then do not respond. Very very poor service.

Fantastic experience: By far THE BEST GYM in the area! (Former David LLoyds, Virgin Active, & Everyone Active-Tudor Grange Leisure Centre - member - I've tried them all!). Xcelerate is the absolute best value for money. Awesome classes and instructors. Great, helpful and friendly staff. Top notch equipment. I'm so incredibly happy that I waited for the gym to open - it was well worth the wait! Would 100/100 recommend! My husband and I are very happy with this gym and we're done looking for the perfect gym - we've found it.

Fantastic experience: Was skeptical of joining at first due to the reports of delays from other individuals in my local area. However, after signing up to the early access, getting a discount, and regularly checking in with Ollie and his team, I could not reccomend this place more. The team are all extremely friendly and very understanding and informative, the communication they provide is unbeaten, so anyone saying otherwise has clearly not tried. The facilities are also incredible!! The studios in the middle separate the whole gym, making it much easier to focus on your sets and you don’t feel like you’re being watched. The showers and toilets are also in exquisite condition and the premium soap and shower wash provided really tops it off. Perfect place for anyone looking to achieve their fitness goals, mo matter what they may be, the team also provide excellent advice to aid you in reaching these goals. Really good, genuine people with professional conduct.

Fantastic experience: What a place!!! This new gym is amazing!! The staff are all so helpful and so knowledgable and they have made working out a joy again. The facilities are fantastic! I was never that enamoured with working out in a gym but Xcelerate has changed my mind already!! I shall be back in the gym without any hesitation. To top it off my son will be able to join in the kids classes in a couple of weeks too when he turns 5!! Thank you!!

Negative experience: After waiting nearly a year for this out of this world gym to open. Friday 15th July I finally get to go. Baring in mind I have been sold the dream constantly so I put off signing up for other gyms. And was so let down. First of all I was given a tour with my sons which took about 2 minutes, wires hanging down shutter boards hanging on walls, the member of staff actually asking me what a piece of equipment was. We stay for literally 15 minutes and left. Ask for a refund and nothing yet. Will keep you posted

Fantastic experience: Despite the long wait for it’s opening, Xcelerate Gym was certainly worth it. Fantastic facilities, friendly staff, a range of equipment. This really is the gym for all ages and people.
