Our comment from FitFit UK about Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium:

Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium, located in London, United Kingdom, offers a diverse array of facilities catering to both fitness enthusiasts and families. Visitors frequently highlight the center's good facilities and variety of activities available. The gym is well-equipped with modern machines and a separate area for women, making it a comfortable workout environment. The swimming pool is another favorite among users due to its cleanliness and overall spaciousness.

Families appreciate the soft play area, which is suitable for children and is often described as enjoyable and well-priced. Additional amenities include synthetic pitches, a running track, and fitness classes such as yoga, pilates, and boxing.

However, the center has received constructive feedback regarding several aspects. Users have reported instances of poor hygiene in changing rooms, with some describing unpleasant odors and cleanliness issues. The accessibility of certain equipment is also an ongoing concern, with patrons noting that some machines have been out of order for extended periods.

In addition, the customer service experience has been inconsistent. Some users have pointed out long wait times at the reception and issues with the membership system, indicating a need for improved processes and training for staff. Despite these concerns, many agree that the location is convenient and the staff are generally friendly and willing to assist.

Overall, Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium provides a good selection of facilities for both individual fitness and family leisure. Continuous improvements in staff training and equipment maintenance could enhance the visitor experience significantly.

Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium: Opinions

2.9/5 (200 Opinions)
Maddy Richardson 7 months ago

Negative experience: Not a great gym, for all the reasons people have listed (mess, lots of the classes are bad although some are v good, bad app, gates often don't work). The worst aspect to me: bikes often (twice a week) get stolen from outside by a guy with an angle grinder and "there's nothing they can do about it".

darrenin Jesus 7 months ago

Fantastic experience: Very good gym

Rima 7 months ago

Negative experience: i have never had a problem with this gym, i've been going here for years. But right now there are several cardio machines in the women only gym that have been out of order for months! We only have 2 elliptical machines and they're both broken. Its ridiculous! The women only gym gets very busy and is small and limited enough as it is but now we all have to wait ages to use our one Stairmaster and a few treadmills? Do better and clean the bathrooms properly!

Jim Blue 8 months ago

Positive experience: Good facilities but takes ages to pay for the track when it’s busy

Alana Fraser 8 months ago

Positive experience: My membership card often doesn't work, forcing me to wait in line and delaying my workouts. In the main gym, mirrors are only located by the large machines, making it hard to check form elsewhere. The women’s only gym has limited workout space and outdated equipment that’s frequently out of order. Additionally, the cleanliness of the women’s restrooms is unacceptable, as they are often blocked and not properly cleaned. I urge you to address these issues for a better gym experience. Thank you.

Negative experience: Great soft play area but the front desk is sooooooo slow. It literally took us 25mins to actually get into the centre, why does it take this long!!!

J. Q 8 months ago

Positive experience: We mainly come here for the soft play facilities. It is a good choice for rainy and cold days. My four year old has fun here every time. £9 ish for kids above 3. £2.5 ish for kids below 3. There is a small ball pits for younger children, a 2-3 storey slide. I feel that it is not dirty. We normally come in the morning when there is less people. Once it reaches 10am, people are usually coming at this time. It gets less busy again around lunch time. You may bring some snacks and eat just out front of the soft play gate.

Negative experience: Feels like things have got even worse since the council took over.

Utku 9 months ago

Positive experience: Changing rooms are freezing. Pool water was warm but you feel cold after pool. You need 20p for lockers

samir bhatnagar 9 months ago

Negative experience: Council has ruined this gym. Machines been damaged without repair for months. Smith machine out of operation for more than 2 months. Just the most terrible state and one pays 37 gbp per month for this shambolic gym facility

Mohammed “Jason” Ahmed 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Very good facilities. I take my daughter to the soft play once a week as it's very well prices for an hour of play. Never too busy, feels safe and great fun. Swimming is also very good, but the water could be more warm.

Guilherme Paixão Argollo 10 months ago

Positive experience: It is crazy the amount of time it takes to fix machines in the gym. Its been almost 2 months and no one comes to fix them.

Alexandra (Alex) 10 months ago

Negative experience: Disappointed with the state of the kids’ play area at Mile End Centre. A neighbour and I spotted a rat in the play area, and when we reported it to the staff, they mentioned this wasn’t the first sighting. It seems they’ve raised this issue with the council multiple times, but there’s been no action taken. It’s concerning that there’s no pest control in place, especially in an area frequented by children. The lack of proper maintenance is really disappointing, and it’s a health risk that needs urgent attention.

Fantastic experience: Best leisure centre in Tower Hamlets. Nice and clean and well maintained.

Mia 11 months ago

Negative experience: Entrance into the gym is a shambles, the gates never work and the receptionists force people to queue up even though it is the gym’s fault that the barriers are broken. Today the queue was so long that lots of people arrived late to a yoga class which caused us to start 5-10 minutes late. Please sort this out, it is really unacceptable! Also please turn the music down in the cycling studio while there is yoga next door, it’s distracting and unnecessarily loud…

Matthew Bassant 11 months ago

Positive experience: Very poorly looked after football pitches. Very dangerous in places

Patricia Figueiredo 1 year ago

Negative experience: The changing area is quite dark, smelly and not clean. The outside area is also very dark and intimidating, absolutely no lights over the bike rack in the entrance, for example. The pool is often too crowded, even though there are always slots available for online booking - perhaps they should reduce the amount of people booked for each one hour slot. It’s nice that they have free swimming for women but it could be better managed

Viviane Alcaide 1 year ago

Negative experience: The gym is okay and has basic equipment, it has a separate area for women which is great as it’s less intimidating although it lacks machines to ensure you’re working all your muscles. The main gym area offers more variety of equipment although most machines are a bit old and rusty. The staff is lovely and the gym isn’t too busy. The changing rooms are a bit crusty and people often don’t clean up after them selves. The most terrifying thing was the lack of gym etiquette from most of the members. Hardly anyone puts their dumbbells back into the rack when they are done or unload their machines. Management needs to do a better job reinforcing basic gym manners. Dumbbells left on the floor can be a hazard as people can trip on them. I felt really bad for the cleaners and the staff that often had to lift 100kg dumbbells because a grown man didn’t feel like putting it away. This is by far the most messy gym I have ever been to which definitely put me off going back there.

Fantastic experience: Very nice swimming pool with facilities. I don’t understand why there are some negative comments about it. I was really enjoying it.

Daniel Rigoni 1 year ago

Negative experience: Nice pool even if rules allow everyone without any swim hat (very unhygienic). Very bad management of the sauna/steam room that need to be booked and also it's often for only one gender at the time, means that if you are a couple you can't relax together. I guess that's for including different religions but then fitting rooms are mixed, so doesn't make sense to me.

Negative experience: Do not get a membership here. I cancelled my membership, and 4 months later they are still charging me. The gym refuses to help, customer service are not replying to emails and their online membership cancellation contact has also failed to contact me back! Terrible service and management. I will continue to post to as many places as possible to slander the name until I get my response and my money back! Terrible!

Negative experience: They've started renting out the stadium with no limit to the noise. This Sunday, they blasted quite possibly the world's worst music, at a noise level which shook the houses in the area for the entire day. It's completely unacceptable.

Positive experience: The facility was big. Staff is available and polite. But the website has been problematic for ages. I just can’t register for anything.

Hannah Lee 1 year ago

Negative experience: Swimming pool is reasonably nice however the changing facilities not so much. Would also be great if the lifeguards could monitor swimmers going very slow in the fast lanes as there seems to be a massive lack of awareness from some swimmers.

Negative experience: Music to loud for surrounding residents. Council should do sound level checks :-(

TAHTIHAL ANHER 1 year ago

Negative experience: I've never seen this type of Racist & Rude person (Mattews). I don’t know how Leadership team select him as a "Duty Manager", at least he should have "customer service skills". We are 3 friends went ro Mile End leisure centre, Basically are tourist and booked 1 hour swimming session. Other people are diving to pool, and authority or any staff are not complainig at all. We realised we can dive as well where other peoples are doing, but when we went to dive, he just came to us and very rudely saying to leave the leisure centre. Even he didn’t give us to go to the end, just force us to leave the pool and leisure centre. We asked why you don't say anything to others? He was silence on the question & laughing with one lady staff , and criticising. Even ge didn’t give us any alert, really strange why he did with us!!! We had to leave immediately, Cause we are tourist couldn’t complain for short time, and Matthews and his staff criticising when we were leaving. As a tourist, if we get this type of behaviour from British culture, how we will come to see Queen's country ? Someone said on Train, he is not might be british, could be a Hybrid. Shame on this rude and racist staff...

Positive experience: Long queues during the Bengali fruit festival, but worth it! Happy area of events during the year.

Carrera-Leigh Dix 1 year ago

Negative experience: Membership has been a mess since Tower Hamlets took over management from Better. Staff seem lost, with no power to do anything but give out an email address. Replies from that email are slow, poor quality and often unhelpful entirely. Facilities need updating and upgrading throughout, but particularly the showers and gym equipment - users are not getting what they pay for. Site takes up a lot of space in the park but lights are turned off when the outdoor pitches are not booked, so people trying to cut through (rather than circumvent the whole bottom of the park) have to walk in pitch darkness. If there are lights in the rest of the park, why not here, please? Parking is a shambles, with contractors and delivery drivers often on pavements or across disabled bays. There are signs everywhere threatening fines, but these never seem to be enforced.

Palden Ball 1 year ago

Negative experience: Spent hour waiting on the line- then it said it was too busy and to ring back another time. Trying to cancel membership and even the website isn’t allowing me

JJ Hamsworth 1 year ago

Negative experience: If you're looking for a swim, avoid this location. The changing rooms are disgusting. They are dirty, they smell, and are falling apart. Also FYI th changing rooms are mixed gender (I.e. men and women use the same big space to change). The pool is also in dire need of renovations with rusted fixtures everywhere.

lorenzo bernasconi 1 year ago

Positive experience: Okay gym. At peak time it is extremely crowded and there is not enough equipment for the number of people. A lot of machines are very very old, and some basic machines are missing (e.g. you can't do Seated lat rows). Good price for london standards.

WILLOWYOURFAV 1 year ago

Negative experience: I’ve been to the swimming centre numerous times and its has always been the same. The changing rooms smell absolutely awful as-well as the toilets. The swimming pools are nice and spacious and if you would want to go in the deeper end of the main Pool, you are required to do a 25 metres test with safeguarding. I would recommend the smaller pool to family and young children.

Mohammad Alom 1 year ago

Positive experience: Decent community gym with plenty of facilities to choose from. They have a nice size swimming pool, decent gym and around 10 astro pitches (5 a side and 7 a side). The quality of the astro on the pitches is not great so easily to slip. They also have paid parking available.

Samuel Furse 1 year ago

Positive experience: Not bad. Nice glass side to the sports hall. Was quite loud, though the surface was good.

Zakariya Yusuf 1 year ago

Positive experience: Great people and good facilities but gym isn’t the best and badminton court is a bit old.

Arima 1 year ago

Negative experience: I would say it is really to do anything with kids. The gym is not made for people with kids. The information provided by customer services is incorrect and outdated. For a sample there is no facility to leave a kid for an hour, or if your UK membership you can't go ice skating or other activities even though you pay the same amount as with ice skating memberships. There are a lot of restrictions and limitations which are very hard to navigate and if you would like to use all facilities you need to pay more. In the end it's better to go to a luxury gym for that cost.

Tim Feltro 1 year ago

Negative experience: Very dirty. Let's not talk about the swimming pool, where people walk all over with shoes and the dirtiest people go to the toilet bare feet and then enter the pool. Really disgusting. Lots of people enter without paying. Staff does not check why they cannot open the gate, they just open it for them. What a disgrace.

Negative experience: I've been a member of this facility on & off for over 15 years. The athletics stadium (running track) it's one of a few in London that are easily accessible to all. However, the lack of hygiene is unbelieveable. For over 2 months the ladies toilets at the running track hasn't had any hand soap, a basic requirment right! I've mentioned it countless times to the receptionist, but not even a cheap bottle of hand soap has been put there. This is in addition to the usual leaking & out of order toilets. This all needs to be addressed ASAP

Fantastic experience: I always use the soft play with my little one, very affordable & normally pretty clean

abida rahman 1 year ago

Negative experience: This review is not to reflect all the staff- This is mainly for the horrible service I received yesterday from the receptionist at 7pm. She exhibited a lack of basic professionalism and failed to demonstrate appropriate courtesy towards customers. I’ve witnessed her incredibly disgusting behaviour towards most of the customers waiting in line. Her attitude was notably abrasive- I understand the scanner was not working properly but that does not excuse her horrendous behaviour.

Fantastic experience: Zianab the receptionist was a great hostess, she is extremely polite, helpful and friendly , the place also is clean and tidy , I would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Good experience swimming here today. The changing rooms were clean and the (private) shower was very hot, almost too hot! The pool wasn't busy and I had a lane to myself the whole time. The water temperature was slightly cold when I first got in, but you wouldn't want it much hotter for when you're swimming lengths anyway. I'm not planning on getting a membership, but have downloaded the Better app so that I can hopefully book on there and enter via a code next time, as there was a short queue to pay at the front desk. There was plenty of parking and the Y app was fairly easy to use, although not totally intuitive.

javed mirza 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Now under new management. Seems like they may do better than Better. Good friendly staff and alot of parking space. £1.50 for 2 hours not bad.

Oksana Oros 1 year ago

Negative experience: I had awful customer experience. First website doesn’t have instructions and possibility to manage your payment method. I tried to contact support team via website form to ask cancel membership for my child as I didn’t find this info on the site, they contact me only after withdrawing money from my account and said we can’t refund the money because we need to pay smth teachers. So I paid for nothing, my child had only 1 lesson and it was also terrible. Kids group the teacher has red pimples on her body. Shape of body is not active swimmer. since a medical examination is not required for the pool, be careful so that the child does not catch anything.

Shah Muhmud 1 year ago

Positive experience: Prices are now more expensive for swim sessions. Plus unnecessary queueing when 1 staff very busy helping with complex query. Just let folks in who paid online! They're were 7 people waiting more than 5 minutrs just for gates to open.

Negative experience: No greeting from the staff. The sports hall is always dirty, and ventilation is poor and might be faulty. I had to chase a few times to bring this to their attention. It wasn't sorted .

Mark Johnson 2 years ago

Negative experience: This review is only about the swimming pool facilities and so doesn't reflect on other facilities this venue has on offer. That said the swimming pool itself isn't bad. It is reasonably clean although I have seen lumps of hair at the bottom of the pool on more than one occasion. The problem is in the cleanliness of the surrounding areas. Firstly some people leave their belongings next to the pool. Trainers, bags, jackets. In that same area swimmers walk and enter the pool. Parents watching their children on the stands pass through this same area in street footwear. The same parents accompany children to the showering facilities. There are solutions like different entrance and exit for people watching or disposable slip on shoe covers. It seems that there is a lack of money invested. The changing cabinets are filthy. In all my visits I have never seen a cleaner. To sum up a long story short, really poor effort on the swimming pool side of things.

Positive experience: I mainly use the women only gym. It can get busy during peak times and surprisingly busy around 9-10am as well. There is staff around who I see clean equipment and maintain the equipment. Some machines are not in use and haven’t been fixed in weeks (treadmill/cycle). I would like to see more equipment or even an expansion of this area as the mixed gym is still more better equipped. I’m yet to see a place where the female only and mixed gyms are equipped to the same standard. Sometimes male staff members do walk into the female gym which I think is unacceptable. Even if they enter through the main doors but not in the actual gym still not okay I feel uncomfortable and so do other women! Has a big changing room which is nice, showers are not the best so I wait to shower when I get home. You can get the basics done but if you’re trying to really build glutes or any other targeted muscle group you might have to pop into the mixed gym unfortunately as the equipment isn’t extensive enough.

Christina Jane 2 years ago

Negative experience: This place needed a refit 10 years ago. Changing rooms grimy, missing doors, water in pool cloudy- heavy local use means there’s never much room to actually swim in. Staff are rough round the edges, and could all go with a training course in customer service. Jungle gym ok, but lacking a cafe. Sports hall and gym are tired. Needs a lick of paint, less world weary staff, and a healthy injection of capitalism to give this place the energy boost it sorely needs. Locals deserve better than this. A little competition wouldn’t go amiss. Oh, and the app is painful.

Negative experience: On Tuesday my son had a tournament and forgot his lunch bag and box in one of the pitches. So I went the next day and I found a good receptionist and he even helped me to look around for it but it wasn’t there. So today I went in and asked her what if anyone saw the lunch box the receptionist was in the middle of a chess game and all he said was that “no one handed in any lunchboxes” so I asked him if he can look around for it and he said the same thing. His name was Hussain. Kind Regards Khaleda

Antoinette B 2 years ago

Negative experience: My husband & I recently took our baby for a swim at Mile End for his first swimming experience, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of disappointing. The main issue that ruined our entire outing was the shockingly cold temperature of the water, which was utterly unsuitable for a baby's comfort and safety. Upon entering the pool area, I was immediately taken aback by the biting chill in the air. I had hoped that the water temperature would provide some respite, but I was gravely mistaken. As my baby entered the pool, we watched as his face contorted into a grimace, expressing pure discomfort and distress. I couldn't believe how the management could allow such low temperatures, knowing that babies have delicate bodies and limited tolerance to cold. It was apparent that the staff had neglected to adjust the pool's temperature to a suitable level for infants. We quickly realized that the entire swimming session had to be cut short, as it was neither enjoyable nor safe for him. We had no option but to rush my baby into a towel, get dressed asap and hastily exit the premises. As a concerned parent, I strongly urge the management of this swimming pool to prioritize the well-being and comfort of their customers, especially infants and young children. It is utterly unacceptable to subject vulnerable babies to such extreme cold conditions. In conclusion, our experience at this swimming pool was a complete letdown due to the unbearably cold water. I expected a pleasant and safe environment for my child to enjoy, but instead, we encountered freezing temperatures that were unsuitable for his well-being. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable swimming experience for all, regardless of age. We will definitely not be back to Mile End leisure centre at all. This is not our first bad experience here either. The soft play area is also FREEZING cold and there is a constant draft coming in. This facility doesn’t even deserve 1 star if I’m honest.

Fantastic experience: I know we are going through energy crisis..but everytime I visit morning sessions for sauna and steam its never switched on in time for us to start the sauna sessions at 9:30 we are only allowed 1 hour its taking the mick not happy at all everyone is complaining ...evan the water in the zacussi is not warm anymore like it used to be its cold im sure you are getting help with the energy bills like everyone else so why make the public unhappy...specially when I've been a member there for so long you need to sort it please thank you this is the experience I've had.

Negative experience: Just commenting re. The football pitches here. I have noticed a huge drop in standards for this place over the last year or so. The management don't turn on the flood lights promptly meaning you lose game time (this happens every week) The pitches are all strewn with litter and piles of leaves. The nets are torn and the turf damaged in several places. The pitches are often left open and people without bookings just seem to loiter on them. It's annoying. Big room for improvement, disappointing.

Positive experience: The facilities is nice and location is great as it is easy to get there with any transport. The only thing I would say that needs to improve is the women toilet, as it is very rundown and needs a bit of work in there.

Negative experience: Where do you start at this leisure centre I've been to many better gym and you would think mile end leisure centre would be one of the best but its one of the worst steam room area disgusting changing room if you don't have your slippers your crying people walk from out side to the changing room and walk around the showers with there trainers on while your walking out of the pool or steam room dirty toilets gym dirty everywhere u go football pitches they should be looked at holes and patches everywhere they should get fined for this I've had a ankle injury for three months but I didn't report it.

Negative experience: I booked a Sauna session which I was really excited about, however, I was very displeased with the sauna facilities. I am certain that if health and safety inspections were performed this place would fail! Apparently this place doesn’t have inspections. I didn’t know jacuzzi’s were cold? My eyes were irritated as it appears that they have added too much chlorine in the jacuzzi. There are no proper drains or could be that the drains are blocked. The floor around the jacuzzi area was flooded. There is a stench in the steam room, I couldn’t stay in there for long as the smell was overwhelming. Luckily someone had brought their own essential oil and added some drops to the steam room heater, that helped to mask the smell a little. Changing room facilities are filthy! I felt like gagging whilst changing in there. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Negative experience: I’ve only used the gym, it is by far the worst gym I’ve ever used. For the following reasons: 1. Many people seem to have very little respect for the gym rules, be prepared for weights left all over the floor, dirty gym equipment and sweaty benches. 2. The staff do not enforce any kind of gym rules, adding to the mess. 3. Broken/unsafe equipment is common, generally fees like an unsafe environment. 4. The free-weights area is tiny.

Quentin Lau 2 years ago

Positive experience: The gym is good for weights, probably the best equipped better gym in tower hamlets, but it’s just a constant mess. Not enough stands to put plates and not enough space for dumbbells so they are either left on equipment or the floor. And that creates a culture where people stop caring and don’t put weights away all together. Shame because it could be a good gym if it wasn’t kept like a bomb site.

Positive experience: Only recently discovered that this place has two bookable tennis courts with lights. The surface could have been better, but these courts are reasonably priced and well-lit compared to a few other options I had to use in the past.

Wang Kwong Chan 3 years ago

Negative experience: Booked the tennis court and it is the hardest surface I have ever played. The floor is so uneven and you cant even predict where the balls go. I really hope Better would maintain the court in the future.

Negative experience: Went to mile end soft play recently. Waste of money very unhappy. Booked my daughter in for an early play as she has autism, when I arrived didn't look like it was open lights were off, I asked if it was, she said yes. I thought the lights would be switched on when I went inside. No they wasn't. My daughter got scared, started crying and we had to leave. Lady was to far away for me to ask, couldn't leave my child to go and ask as she was distressed. She wouldn't want to go back in after we left the play area. Will never be able to take her there again. She likes soft play. Would give no stars if I could of

Positive experience: lovely pool. Really great staff. However. The lockers do not work properly and I could not get money back. They said the lockers are not theirs and it happens a lot. Really not OK as wasted £1.40 in effort to get them to work. Most people bring belongings into the poolside area.... Odd

H R 3 years ago

Negative experience: SOFT PLAY: it's relatively small but kids love it or would love it if the lady there would let them! Iv seen 2 women work there, 1 was lovely and the other lady (slightly older lady in a scarf-only way I know to describe her) was so rude. She spoke as those accusing me of not having booked it and even, if I hadn't there are polite ways to ask. Then she told my 3 year she wasn't allowed to play in the smaller section it's only for under 2, which I would have understood if there had been anyone else in there! She was too little to do the big kids part and just playing with the ball. And then when her older brother and sister came she told them to get out of the smaller section too. She also told my 3 year old to tell me to tidy upand collect all the balls that had come out.of the ball pit. At another visit she told my son he wasn't playing right in the bigger ball pit. Not sure what her deal is but they need to train her or gete new staff

Positive experience: Swimming pool was cool and clean, but changing rooms are rather smelly and very dated. You also have to spend 20p on a locker and this is non-refundable.

Ferdous Khanom 3 years ago

Negative experience: I went to use the health suite (sauna, jacuzzi and steam room) but following day I fell really ill. I have a feeling the water in the jacuzzi was contaminated. People were not dressed appropriately, 1 lady’s swimming costume was dangling from her body and not attached to her skin. I don’t know if she was wearing anything underneath. Really really disgusting. It really put me off and I won’t be returning. I’d rather pay more somewhere else where there’s better hygiene

Positive experience: Good pool, toilet and changing rooms are mixed and smells of urine. I haven't been to the gym but from the outside it looks good. Staff are really friendly.

Son Gayku 3 years ago

Negative experience: I can't speak of it now but I used to go to their Holiday Club and the staff were very rude, some were quite nice but others just seemed to take pleasure in shouting at children. One faked a fire and refused to let us go to lunch. I had some of my stuff stolen and the staff refused to do anything about it, insisting it probably wasn't mine even though the item was very unique, and despite this they wouldn't let us put our bags in lockers. I have no idea if the staff have changed since, but not a great experience. Though, the actual activities were fun, there's lots of things to do and I really enjoyed the range of activities, though I wish they didn't separate boys and girls. If the staff weren't so rude it would be a great place.

Positive experience: Positives: - Wide range of leisure activities such as fitness classes, gym (unisex and women) swimming, health suite, spin studio, running track, football and badminton courts, soft play for kids and a crèche. - Accommodating to both genders, e.g womens swimming, men only sessions in health suite and unisex. - Gym has lots of great and upgraded machines/ equipment. - A range of fitness classes, e.g boxing, spin, Zumba, yoga, Pilates and so much more. - Health suite is pretty decent and affordable (jacuzzi, sauna and steam room) - Staff are usually friendly. - Disability access - Has a soft play and crèche area. - has a good lounge/seating area. - sanitising stations Negatives: - although the changing rooms are big, and there is a unisex and womens only it can be VERY unclean. It is okay in the mornings but most of the times it is quite unclean in the shower rooms/changing rooms. It is a very big centre and accommodates lots of people but more cleaners are needed on site frequently. - health suite sometimes has issues with jacuzzi or sauna/steam not working. E.g most recently the steam room smells of the drain. - during peak times it can get really busy in the gym and waiting in the que, and can feel understaffed.

Fantastic experience: Great place to play in a 8-aside pitch Been playing football!⚽️ here for 6 years and have always enjoyed myself. The pitch sizes cater to 5, 7 and 8 a side needs and are always in good condition considering how much they are used daily. Great place to in a outdoor centre!

Gibran Sesunan 3 years ago

Negative experience: Nice place but a female staff suddenly came to me in front of soft play arena and said: "you have to book online" and rudely asked me to show my booking confirmation. How the hell can I enter the gate if I don't have a barcode to scan?! One star is unfortunately too much until they give some more training to staff.

Positive experience: Good things: the water in the pool and showers is warm (not as the water at Poplar Leisure Center where is cold). There is a parking place where you can pay 1,5£/h. Bad things: the changing rooms and showers are unisex (for everybody), with a smell of pee everywhere. Plus you need 20p for the locker (you cannot use the Better coin, like at Stratford Leisure Centre).

Nestor Dyer 3 years ago

Negative experience: Dirty swimming changing rooms, ungodly smell of pee. Floor in serious need of a clean. They also charge 20p for lockers which was not explained when i booked online. There are free lockers however all the keys had been removed...

Isabel Reed 3 years ago

Negative experience: Been swimming here 3 times: 1) disgusting changing rooms that smell of urine and have rubbish everywhere. normally i shower after swimming but i decided to shower at home instead since there was a pack of nappies just outside the shower today, and God knows what horrors awaited me inside the shower cubicle. 2) The water in the pool is always cloudy. Given the state of hygeine in the changing rooms, I dread to think why. 3) The timetable is poorly organised. when I arrived, the lane swimming section was overcrowded with people, so I waited with some other swimmers who could not enter the water because there were too many people. Then I was told to leave after 30 minutes for the men's swimming session- how come I could book a swim session for men when I'm not a man? how come the lane sessions are allowed to be over subscribed? There was no warning about this on the website either. So I paid £6 for a 30 minute swim. 4) facilities in changing room are poor- non refundable 20p charge for lockers, and only 2 private showers in a large unisex changing room. The only positive was that the staff were nice. I will not be returning to this disgusting excuse for a swimming pool. Truly vile. I wish I took photos for this review to show you how gross it is.

Fantastic experience: Nice place to bring your kids and enjoy an amazing day

Md Abu Sayeed Abdullah 3 years ago

Negative experience: The staff charged me £1 to entry though I booked a slot for Badminton. As I don’t hold the membership, however, after few minutes I see few people they got access without paying anything and I confirmed that they are not member also. This is something ridiculous they have to make sure everyone treats in the same way.
