Our comment from FitFit UK about Active Leicester - Leicester Leys Leisure Centre:

Active Leicester - Leicester Leys Leisure Centre is a family-friendly facility located in Leicester, UK, offering a variety of swimming pools including a wave pool, a toddler's pool, and a big pool for older children. Many families appreciate the array of activities available, with praised swimming classes led by passionate instructors like Holli Yuille, who is renowned for her effective teaching methods with kids.

Visitors have noted that the gym area is well-equipped and the staff are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers and regulars alike. The centre hosts a lot of classes, making it an excellent option for fitness enthusiasts.

However, some feedback highlights areas needing improvement. The changing rooms have been described as messy and in need of renovation, with complaints about broken lockers and cleanliness issues. Additionally, some attractions, such as the flumes and small slides, are often not operational, which can lead to disappointment among guests, especially children looking forward to those features.

In summary, while Active Leicester - Leicester Leys Leisure Centre has great potential for family entertainment and sporting activities, it would benefit from better maintenance and updates to its facilities to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.

Active Leicester - Leicester Leys Leisure Centre: Opinions

Positive experience: Great for the kids with the waves and slides.

Catkin Bellinger 8 months ago

Negative experience: This place gets worse each time I visit! 6 yr old and myself getting goosebumps in the pool and blue in the changing rooms, the plants all dying in the decorative areas, over half the showers closed in the ladies changing. The small slide has been taken out and the spraying water fixtures don't do much any more. Overall very run down, I'm only still going because it's the only pool I can get to that's shallow enough for my nervous swimmer to build confidence in.

Fantastic experience: Great for families with youngsters.

Fantastic experience: I would like to leave a review about The swimming teacher Holli Yuille. She is an excellent teacher and she's great with kids. I've never seen such a passionate swimming teacher before, and I believe she deserves an award or a raise to acknowledge her hard work. Both of my kids really enjoy her lessons.

Fantastic experience: A local Council run gym split over 2 floors. The staff are nice and the people who use the gym are friendly whilst 'letting you get on with it'! Trainers are available if required. I only use the gym rather than going to exercise classes or swimming. The gym equipment seems well maintained and plentiful. At the times I go (sometime after 0700) it is not crowded. There is good spacing between equipment so even if there are a few customers in you don't feel encroached upon. Male showers and changing areas are communal which isn't an issue for most customers and are really clean. In summary, a local, clean, well equipped gym run by nice people! I recommend it to anyone thinking of getting back to exercising!

Negative experience: I will update this rating to 5 star when they will fix turnstile the one on the right which unlocks when you tap your membership card - otherwise you will have to unnecessarily wait in the queue for staff to serve even if you’re only accessing gym.

Negative experience: Not bad

Susana Dasilva 9 months ago

Positive experience: The baby pool is ofter not warm enough for babies, also there is no temperature controlled showers to wash babies without the water beeing to hot or too cold

Spencer Spencer (Spencer) 10 months ago

Negative experience: Swimming. £10 for 1 adult and 1 child. Changing rooms were awful, I can live with mess if it's just me, but not when my son is subjected to unnecessarily bad hygiene. Baby's nappies left on the floor, sink units and sitting points. Broken locks on changing stations, pubic hairs on baby changing counter, almost all lockers broken. Generally dirty. The pool zone was fun, but the water flumes were out of use, these were the main attraction as I remember years ago, looks as though its been left to rot. Quite sad to see. It has great childhood memories to it, hence the visit. With correct management coordination it could easily be in good shape. Overall, disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Good facilities for swimming ,gym , badminton,

Positive experience: Staff are great, all the equipment you need is there, in theory though some of the weights go awol. Some of the gym goers can be a bit rude and the weights room can be uncomfortable at times. I advise to go early

Farzana Takolia 11 months ago

Positive experience: It’s fine for a local pool with wave but no slides are open so not much fun overall. Please update and we will visit more!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit with my 6 year old grandson and we had the best time, Both ladies on reception were very polite and helpful. I had forgotten my costume but they kindly let me know where to buy one from nearby Tesco and let me back in no problem. The changing rooms were clean, plenty of lockers. The wave pool was great fun, Excellent experience

Negative experience: We refuse to use these swimming baths. The hygiene Has slipped considerably since the 1990's, 20-30 pairs of outdoor-flip flops are being allowed to be kept at the waters edgen the the staff have NO controll over outdoor footwear being stored at the end of the swimming pool, it's vile, in the 90's, the rule was NO out door shoes were allowed pool side, NOW thier is outdoor flip flops floating in the pool from the waves washing them in, litterlaly floating in the pool with go know what on the bottom of them. The changing rooms have brown sludge water in them from 'uncultured' people walking them by the showers to the pool, whilst cultured people are forced to walk through the sludge from the shower, its filthy. Zero control of suitable swim wear, religious Burkinis are clearly for swimming baths, cotton dress, bellow the knee is now being passed as okay, died cotton is not ok, branded cotton mini mouse T shirts and leggins i see in there now, the water is opaque, it's not clear, its hazy and opaque, it's a horrible dirty and disgusting pool, people look like they're not even dresses suitably respectful for a public pool, and the staff do nothing..ZERO. Weak leaders, weak results. I blame the staff the not policing policy of public suitable swim costumes, and the out door flip flops pool side is just taking the P. They've spoiled it for the half that we're brought up not to do it. Get a grip Beaumont leys swimming baths! Sort your rules and policies out, enough is enough. Sludge and dog poo shoes floating in the pool is Horrendously filthy, police the animals that do this and police your staff. Strong leader, strong results. You need a team meeting and LARGE SIGNS if your too scared to upheld the cleanliness for the population that won't wear out door shoes for the people that also dont wear outdoor shoes past the showers. Burkinis only, not mini mouse cotton outdood-wear T shirts and ZERO flip flops POOLSIDE, the place is filthy. I've never seen it so muddy poolside and so many outdoor cliths being worn in the pool. It's unhygienic, unclean and not the ideal scenario for a public swimming baths where children play. You want to be utterly ashamed of your self's.

Negative experience: Lockers are half broken, showers aint great. Could do with some effective maintenance. The old big slides have been out for years, they cant seem to do anything else with them.

Josh Nisbet 1 year ago

Negative experience: Visited with my family today, my 5 year old and 2 year old twins as we had been several times before. First off the lady in reception was pretty rude and had it been my first visit to the pool I'd have been put right off and probably have left. We were sort of shunted into a line to wait until dot on 10am to get in to pay and into the changing rooms. What was previously pretty good for young children is now not so. The flumes although are advertised as part of the pool haven't been operational as long as I can remember, but I'd expected that. However the only small slide for kids under 1m has now been removed and the smaller baby pool was so cold that the kids wanted straight out. I don't think I'll be returning with the kids as things as simple as a small slide into the pool they were used to, have now been removed and there's nothing really for them to do if the pool they can just float about in is too cold. Otherwise, the pool is generally clean and the changing rooms are of good quality. It's just not as setup as it once was for young kids

Garav Tuli 1 year ago

Negative experience: Poor customer service, ridiculous two ladies in the reception. We will never come back here again. Absolutely rubbish staff nonsense and rude

Emily Weatherer-Smith 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Great has a wave machine, slides, paddling pool etc. Definitely will go back. Only downside would be good to have mixed family change especially with babies.

Sam Smart 1 year ago

Positive experience: Had a fab time with my sister and nephew, pools were great, just need more baby changing areas, both wheb arriving and leaving the were qs of at least 4/5 ladies with babies waiting for the changing area. Me and my sister took turns holding my nephew whilst one of us got ready.

Fantastic experience: Swimming teachers are excellent and very helpful. You have to find a parking place nearby.

Emily Murtha 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Bravo!!!! I haven’t visited in 20 years and knowing how old the building is (and the challenges in maintaining a swimming facility) my expectations were low. I could not have been more wrong. The changing rooms were modern and clean, with lovely showers and free hairdryers. The pool and everywhere else I saw was clean and has clearly been updated and looked after. I did notice that the gym appeared to be a load of gym kit thrown in a section of a sports hall but I didn’t look further so there may have been a more permanent offering. If you want the wave pool and slides - check the timetable as they are not always in use

Luke Will 1 year ago

Positive experience: Was clean so can’t really knock it. I hadn’t been for 24 years and it looks exactly the same. Why don’t they sort the flumes out

Anthony Hinton 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I have been using Beaumont leys gym a few weeks now and it's purely to keep me a little fitter,I'm not 21 anymore, so no need to try and impress the females lol but I'm doing it for me,not used the swimming pool as of yet but I may in the weeks to come,I must say it all looks nice and I'd recommend it.

Positive experience: Came again after a long time. Nice facilities and friendly staff. The showers (hot) and changing rooms are parent friendly. Could do with some anti slip paint or tiles because my children slipped a few times.

Katie Hines 1 year ago

Positive experience: I have visited several times over the years, it's a great pool for children and we always love visiting. It's good value, the staff are friendly, the changing facilities are great lots of cubicles and they are cleaned regularly. Only downside is the fumes don't seem to have worked in a long time and there isn't a family changing area. This wouldn't stop us returning though as my children love it!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. I really enjoyed swimming with my kid. Reasonable price.

Positive experience: Waves didn't come on at all, water cold. Lots of life guards, busy atmosphere

Zebedee Davis 1 year ago

Positive experience: It Is a really good place to go for both swimming lessons and general swimming as well, but it Is unfortunate that the big slides aren't working

Ade Mathew 1 year ago

Positive experience: It's a big place with a variety of activities but it has issues. Let's start with reception. Some stuff are very helpful, and customer services focus, but some of them are absolutely careless and rude. The swimming area is awesome. 2 pools for babies and youngsters and the second one for adults. Artificial waves are awesome but sadly only once per hour, also have slides but only were able to use it once in many visits. The changing area is not really looked after place really need some repairs. Gym are alright I guess, small and sort of overcrowded but with variety with choices. Also has tennis court, pretty cool. Also hold claiming wall which is pretty massive but you gotta pay separately and it's not cheap. Also got vending machines some swimming gear to buy if you in need but again it's pricy.

MegaSusan1991 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Spacious changing rooms, decent showers, open regularly and reasonably priced.

Holly Hale 1 year ago

Negative experience: I would leave no stars if possible. Turned up to go swimming with my 10 year old, 6 year old and 1 year old. We were turned away wrongly as my daughter aged 10 is a competent swimmer so does not need an adult being over 8 and being able to swim. ( per your guidelines!) We went a few weeks ago and had no issues. The woman was rude and unapologetic in the face of 2 young children visibly in tears. I will be making a formal complaint.

Fantastic experience: Good gym and swimming facilities. NHS staff has extra benefits. Clean and well equipped.

Nathan Weetman 1 year ago

Positive experience: Swimming isn’t what it used to be. I used to love coming here as a kid. Unfortunately, the flumes have been closed for the past five years, with no word on if they will ever be put back in action. This was one of the major unique selling points, so it’s a huge loss. The pools are significantly colder than they used to be, too. There are also no family changing rooms. Thankfully the wave machine is still working.

Fantastic experience: A great place to go for a relaxing swim and good for kids and none swimers

M.Faras Jhan 1 year ago

Positive experience: Today’s my visit to Active Leicester swimming pool was good but few disappointments. I have highlighted below my experience by dividing in to sections. > Reception - Welcoming and great customer service. We really appreciate your service. > parking - Disabled parking available onsite and all others have to park mainly on the streets available. > Changing room - enough room for good amount of people, fairly clean and resourceful with necessities. > Pool - few different options which is good. As far as I noticed one main pool I think it’s deep up to max 1.9m deep , one shadow pool up to 1m deep and a little one with some play area for babies. They have a wavy session in the main pool for around 10 minutes and that was fun and different. > Pool temperature- not warm enough for kids as my kids were shivering nearly a half an hour until they get used to it. > Viewer areas- Good visibility around the pool nice and can’t complain as it looks fairly maintained for all sessions.Tables & chairs available. Got washroom facilities for all. > visitors - people are great. Diverse and friendly. Polite and decent behaviours. Sharing and caring each other. > Staff at pool ( life guards) - Rude and noticed not very polite with few parents next to the main pool . unfortunately I also had to face the same rude attitude in the last 10 minutes of the session and didn’t really mind as of didn’t wanted to make a big deal at that time. Definitely need this area to be rectified and I hope this will be addressed and give them a little bit of customer service training. people who visits this place might have the same zero percent tolerance accepting policy for themselves like you have in your place for you. What I didn’t like most was shouting at little ones to take them off the pool while their parents were trying their best approach to get them out of the pool. This is even happened when they had full 10 minutes from the session end time at 17.00 . I could see people were rushing and so stressed to get out because of this life guards behaviours. This is probably happening because may be they have training sessions which are supposed to start at 17.00. I have just noticed this in the main pool and not sure how other places were. We still going to visit as this rude behaviour of this life guards not relevant for visiting this place and there are so many other good stuff we can experience from here. And we desperately hope our next visit won’t be the same like this time and will be a much better one for us all. Thanks for the all good stuff :)

Positive experience: Call handling needs to be looked at. Reception staff managing this isn't working and needs to be handled centrally. Wake up Active Leisure!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant thank you for welcoming my family. Gym, swimming pool etc. The staff are so friendly and helpful and caring and funny! Met lots of new, nice friends there already, and I was a shy person before. Great for building up your confidence and self-esteem. Big up to you lot!

Fantastic experience: Returning to Leicester leys after almost 4 years I was pleasantly surprised that the changing rooms, showers etc had recently been refurbished. Unfortunately, for younger users , the flumes and wave machines were out of service. Generally a really enjoyable experience.

Jacqueline Willan 1 year ago

Negative experience: Generally, I'm satisfied with the why I joined the council activity centres but the Main Pool at Braunston is being 'cleaned'. The small pool is generally used for children & swimming lessons so I feel so unfair to be paying a monthly fee for something that has not been available for weeks. Quite often I book a badminton court. The lighting on the courts leaves alot to be desired since far to strong & bright. I'm not interested I the gym. I feel unfair that I've been paying fees that are unavailable for me to enjoy but with NO reduction in fees!

Positive experience: Gurdwara is beautifully made. Looks and feel very good vibes. So proud of sikh community. But car park it self is big problem.

Positive experience: Wave machine out of order, hairdryers taped up. Staff were lovely and showers were warm . Pool was pleasant

Andy Singh 1 year ago

Negative experience: The kids' swimming lesson membership is a bit pricey. Additionally, the coaching for kids under 8 is a bit lacking. The lessons start late but end promptly, which isn't fair to the kids since the scheduled time is only 30 minutes. Prices increased again.

Tom Satchwell 1 year ago

Positive experience: Definitely the best pool for kids. It’s council run and it shows. Quite rough around the edges, with tired and messy changing rooms. That said, it’s cheap, the showers are hot and the pools are big and clean. It gets very busy so avoid prime time weekends if you like a chill swim.

Fantastic experience: Just a shower today costing £3.10 in the dry side. Nice Newly decorated shower room/ Family changing room/Vanity room but thinking maybe the changing room Hair dryers should be in there as well? maybe minus the changing bench in there for the small ears /Family Disabled toilet equipped with toilet hand rails but no wheelchair standing up hand rail yet.

Negative experience: Very poor service so bad management. My daughter have been member there, They have been charged twice and have told me, you will get refunds your money in to your bank, it’s been one month still I did not receive the money in to my bank. Now they asking me to provide them statements, Instead of they asking all rubbish questions to customers, they need to speak to there administrators and resolve this issues and pay to me my money they have owe it, Poor management. Local council need to take strong action against those kind of fraudulent.

sabina makda 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Spend alot of time with the kids during summer hols. The water is not at freezing compared to other pools in Leicester. So perfect for kids. It's a pity they won't fix the slide. But the waves machine is the best.. My kids love it.

Paulius Drungys 2 years ago

Negative experience: Been going to the gym for 4months there on mornings. Atleast once a month staff fails to open up on time in the morning, leaving bunch of people standing by the entrance and wasting their time. Everybody has their morning planned, staff needs to take accountability and actually show up at work in time.

Nitin Bharadiya 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Took our 7 month old baby for his 1st swim, safe to say he enjoyed it, inside they do have family changing rooms. Only downside I think I only saw changing room in the family room. Other then that great place and plenty of parking

Christie Bishop 2 years ago

Negative experience: I have always swam at Beaumont leys leisure centre as a child and then with my older children. Unfortunately, we came to swim as a family yesterday with our baby. The baby pool which is usually significantly warmer than the others was cold, more so than the other pools and not fit at all for babies! On your website it still states that there is a baby pool available, which clearly there is not. At no point did members of staff ask the older children to leave the baby pool which is something that has been done in the past. Overall a pretty poor experience and after 25+ years of swimming at Beaumont leys I think this will be my last.

Alfie Stevens 2 years ago

Positive experience: Great place, kids loved it, but not the best. Changing rooms were disgusting, there was dirt and rubbish on the floor. It was very busy, we had to wait like 12 minutes to get in. Poll was Ok, it was warm and clean.

Positive experience: It's a little tired and dated now, I use the gym area which is quite small. There's alot of gyms in the area at better monthly prices

Fantastic experience: We had a great time at swimming this morning.... Kids had fun and we got to have some family time together

Mark Thornton 2 years ago

Positive experience: I was pretty impressed with this centre. They have a ton of equipment and activities, great pool for kids, and plenty of squash and badminton courts. The front desk worker was pretty miserable, and £11 for a one hour badminton court rental was a bit excessive, but aside from that all good. Easy parking out to the side.

Emmanuel Pereira 2 years ago

Positive experience: Good place for swimming and gym but its very untidy gym which is converted from a sports hall, badminton court are available but expansive if you don't have membership. Also toilet facilities are not great here.

Gavin Wilson 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Came here with my neice, sister, and grandchildren. There was a queue, but it didn't take too long for us to get in. I'd not been in a pool for a decade due to illness, so even I was as excited as the kids. Clean, noisy, and wet. Wow, it was great. The wave machine was fun but not overly used. The kids did enjoy the dragon chute. Pity the flumes are still closed. I hope they are replaced. I brought my granddaughter back with two of my great nephews, and again, they really had fun. We'll be back.

Positive experience: It's a reasonable pool, there is a wave machine. The flumes aren't open though.

Fantastic experience: We are here most Friday's with my 3-year old niece it's lovely the staff here are helpful and friendly and the prices are still reasonable. Recommend Tuesdays Wednesdays if you prefer quieter times. We come here around 11 a.m. on Fridays and it can get busy. Think they need some sort of vending machine or coffee machine to save me going into the shopping centre...

Lord Kenneth Montgomery-Moore 2 years ago

Negative experience: Update to my most recent visit to this facility was most disappointing at the highest level for the reasons given - 1. Poorly maintained, unclean throughout. 2. Uncleaned toilet/changing rooms. 3. Disabled shower rooms are out of order.. (1) Disabled shower unit has no hot water and the shower bench is stuck at high level. (2) the second Disabled shower unit life is out of order, however it does have hot water. Therefore both Disabled shower rooms are not suitable for use. 4. Having found a spray of blood against the wall nearest to the Disabled shower corridor.. 5. Staff of any knowledge of the usable conditions of the Disabled shower rooms was not informative of when this long lasting issues would be resolved.. My final overview is "failure " especially for Disabled use.. Update - A few months has past since my last review and the disable shower equipment are still unfit for use... The neglect of such issues I have raised is only asking for a serious accident to happen and a major lawsuit to follow...

Beth Bullock 2 years ago

Negative experience: This swimming pool could do with a lot more cleaning, maintenance and care which is a shame because it could be such a lovely pool. The steps for the slide were cracked, this was brought to the lifeguards attention but no further action appeared to be taken. There was no sanitiser available in any of the dispensers, this was brought to the receptionists attention but again no action taken beyond giving us a bit from the bottle behind the reception desk. The lockers are basically unusable, the majority are without keys and the ones with keys don't have a band for you to keep the key safe in the pool. Some had threaded a hair tie onto the key to put round their wrist so the key didn't get lost which is a good idea but absolutely should not have been necessary! The lockers were filthy and need ripping out and replacing. No toilet paper in the unclean toilets, only one dispenser had any soap in. The tables, chairs and floor down the side of the pool were filthy and covered in crumbs. The activity boards around the side of the pool are broken and unusable. Having said that, having a big pool with a wave machine, a children's pool with slides, a small pool and a splash pool is such a good facility and after replacing the unusable and broken equipment, a deep clean and ongoing maintenance and care this place could be a lovely family pool.

Lorraine Bullock 2 years ago

Negative experience: 70% of lockers had no keys, most of the keys did not have a wrist band or way of attaching the the key. Toilets dirty, no toilet roll, not every soap dispenser had soap. Poolside old food/biscuit crumbs remained around the seating from the previous day. Swimming facilities aged & poor. The whole place had a horrible feeling of neglect.

Rich H 2 years ago

Positive experience: Used to be my second home, a few years have passed and visited again. Routes seem to be a bit thin on the ground, some panels don't have any climbs on. Routes are also not regularly set. For a place that boasts the highest leading wall in the area and should be a drawing climbers in from far and wide, this is a visit once or twice a year to see if anything has changed. If this was a privately owned and operated business it would have closed down.

Farisia Felina 2 years ago

Positive experience: Lovely swimming pool for the whole family. Down side is the toilets and showers could be alot cleaner

Negative experience: the water was cold and my baby was going purple as to cold in the water. he loves water and home baths won’t be going again. also i asked before coming if they had a baby changing unit and with towels to put on so the baby is not on the plastic for hygiene reasons, the women said yes they have it all but on arrival they had nothing to clean the unit with so it’s clean for the babies..

Robert Hanson 3 years ago

Negative experience: I use to love going here when I was younger. Sadly, the place needs updating and revamping to come into line with 2022. The place is still living in the late 80's early 90's lockers are missing keys. Toilet doors are broken and changing rooms are too small for the amount of people that go. They could install some family changing rooms where mum, dad and kids can change together. The flumes never seem to be open on Sunday and they should have people monitoring the toddler pool. I appreciate it's nice and warm. But it is for parents and toddlers. Not just anybody.

Fantastic experience: Nice place to go with the family swimming was awesome not tired any other services but will do in the future

Delfina Domingues 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place, love the effect of waves in the big swimming pool. It's family friendly, you can have little boys in the ladies changing room. In case of a man going with kids be careful, my husband found a but naked old man in the boys changing room I don't think it's appropriate, but that is me, my husband didn't like it, just for the fasct that our litle boy was there, in the male changing room. Was not expensive either. Very clean area I loved the level of hygiene, no bad smell or funny smells. Apart from that it's a fun day out. You need 1£ coin for the lockers, you will get back.

Positive experience: I haven't been here in years, we went swimming today cost £7.20 for 3 of us. The swimming pools haven't changed at all, had a great time although the slides weren't working today not sure if this is a regular thing. One thing I would say is that the swimming pools do need updating. Although the wave pool was a lot of fun. Would recommend to familys

Negative experience: Turned up as there is no online booking for swimming and no one would answer the phones for info/booking only to be turned away as the session was full and told to wait another hour until we were able to swim, and had to wait around as they wouldn't let us book for the next session. When we finally got in the small pools were cold. The womens lockers don't have keys with the numbers on them, the family changing facilities were poor only 1 cubicle with a baby change and the staff were pretty miserable too

Fantastic experience: It's a really good swimming pool better than the one in alyestone maybe you Karen's who keep saying "it's bad' and "I'm going to report this to the authorities"go to the alyestone pool that's a pool you call broken and damaged. Don't listen to these Karen's who make 1 star or 2 stars review they are just big ugly lies that build trouble.

Positive experience: Lockers need new keys. Nice pool. Slides are never working when I go. Showers are a bit too warm. Reasonable pricing

Positive experience: Could be a lot better. The flumes have been shut for years which is a great pity. The staff seem ok and the place is in reasonable condition but has obviously seen better years needs some investment and modern upgrades.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool, especially for kids but for adults good enough as well. Lots better than few years ago. I would say it's clean now. Well equipped gym, small but good for beginners. Be careful with council's desk jokeys, they are not very honest if comes to monthly payments.

Positive experience: Good time had at the pool, 1st time there and went with the grandkids , we parked on the retail carpark and walked over to the pool..the pathway by the pool is at the time of writing this a bit uneven due to tree roots growing underneath, good level entry seperate male/female changing areas, disabled changing room is located pool side but is also used by large families etc and there is only the one (that I noticed) so you might have to wait , seating is situated around the pool for veiwing or family members not swimming, the pool is divided into sections for paddling/ babies , toddlers & younger kids with slides and water features, the main area has a wave machine that operates intermittently an alarm does go off to inform you so you can all rush there to be buffeted around to your hearts content.

Fantastic experience: Most important think they have sauna next to swimming pool, I think it's great.

Positive experience: Good facilities but the whole place is too cold, not just the pool temperature!

Negative experience: Been few times recently with 2 toddlers. The pool hasn't really changed since I used to come here with my dad 30 years ago. It has a slide for older kids. Shame the flumes seem to be permanently out of use. It's OK in here, nothing wow, but nothing majorly terrible. They need to do something about how cold it is walking back to the changing room. Plus in the mens changing room there's only 3 changing cubicles and 2 family cubicles, one has a door missing and the other has the door latch missing. Bit poor on the maintenance side.

Fantastic experience: Took the boys yesterday and they had the most fun. Well secured with very watchful lifeguards. The main pool ever half hour or so creates beach waves and its height is mostly shallow to allow young children to enjoy it. From the 3rd third of the pool the floor gets deeper and (I forgot to see how deep it goes) might be 2.5m deep. The second pool has toys for kids to interact with such as slider and fountain and other hung thingies. Both pools have lurk water. The babies and toddler's pool have warm water (around 36 degrees Celsius).
