Negative experience: Can't understand why prices are not transparent and available online.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting and a rip off scam, I tried cancelling my Membership and they’ve kept charging me for another 2 months. I’m 17 and I don’t have much to my name, they have ripped me off badly.. w4nkers

Fantastic experience: I've been taking part in spin sessions since they were on the pier. The spin instructors, to my mind, have always done their best in motivating their classes, without overreaching anyone's ability. Thank you instructors. Robert (Whitstable)

Negative experience: The center made mistake by overcharging my membership fee in March, despite my several inquiries (through email, by talking to the receptionist), so far they have not refunded me the difference. I cannot understand the reason

Positive experience: The whole pandemic payments were a bit of a joke! The gyms have needed updating for quite some time and it’s taken a long time to get there! Online app is simple, does a job but doesn’t get updated regularly. Phoning is my pet peave atm, always someone on reception yet the phone never get answered or the numbers need updating. Not a hard situation to sort out I imagine. Staff are friendly which is positive

Fantastic experience: I had a gym induction a few weeks ago done by Dennis. He was very thorough, tailored a programme exactly to my very specific requirements and made the whole thing a very pleasant experience. It was obvious that his knowledge and communication were very good. I highly recommend using the gym...they are not just going through the motions; the staff really want to help you achieve your goals.

Negative experience: Disgusted with Active-Lifes membership service around the Covid pandemic. Firstly we where charged a full month's membership (£68) for the last 2 days the gym was open in March, of which we hadn't used since February. Refused to refund. After that we chose to help Active-life out throughout the pandemic by paying £10 a month to a gym that was not open whilst being out of work ourselves. And most recently without a full class timetable, limited spaces and no option to opt out (we didn't receive an email) they have without asking increased our direct debit back to £68 for the past 2 months. And again are refusing to refund. I fear they don't give a hoot about their loyal customers and are more interested in taking money away from those that are in need at this difficult time.
