Positive experience: Spacious but crowded Many extra payment classes Many different activities , pool( different packages) Not very expensive Needed for a good cleaning No places for self practice ( yoga/stretching ) I had a Bad experience with a consultation ( tour ) If you have questions I haven’t any recommendations how you can find the right information but read their web site rules . When I asked the stuff they gave me wrong information. Sometimes kids are playing on the parlor ( on the way to the changing room ). I’m worried that I can harm them while I’m opening doors . Or they will kick a ball to me .

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience at Latchmere Leisure Centre. I booked and paid for a ‘Active Play and Bounce’ session, but when I arrived, they said it wasn’t available and offered a cheaper alternative I didn’t want. When I requested a full refund, I was told to email their manager. Despite emailing twice, I’ve received no response. It’s frustrating to chase a refund for a service they couldn’t provide. The centre feels disorganised, and their communication needs improvement. I’d recommend caution when booking activities here.

Positive experience: Poplar family leisure pool....perfect for children and family fun..but also good lane swimming and poolside sauna

Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre, has everything you need, gym, swimming, classes. There is a coffee shop with a children's soft play area. Pools look very clean. Large free car park on site too.

Positive experience: Real nice not too busy so could enjoy and play

Negative experience: When I go swimming cubicle areas smell urine and faeces and they make me sick. I can hear teachers tell kids to be careful not to leave anything on the floor because of the smell, aren't parents concerned about safety of their kids? This has been a long term problem never resolved. Unsafe, unhealthy and unacceptable. Regular cleaning to be maintained at all times, before someone end up in hospital.

Positive experience: I go there swimming maybe every week and I really like it. It’s large, somewhat warm and has a cold shower beside the sauna which I like to use, and then jump back into the pool. Lots of family fun for you and your kids.

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic time there for a go karting children’s party with Formula Kidz. It was brilliant. All staff lovely! Thank you guys.

Negative experience: Total rip-off merchants! After entering my car registration number on their system for parking they’ve still issued a parking fine! A helpful lady at reception advised me where to put my parking details, which I did. But there must have been a problem. Vicious greedy behaviour towards families. My daughter enjoyed the swim in this dated facility but for the parking thievery, I most certainly never plan to visit again. Makes me very unhappy.

Negative experience: Cafe closed on a busy Saturday afternoon with a sign stating the reason as being because it wasn't busy in the morning. Advertised wave machine in the pool has never worked. Staff are very grumpy

Positive experience: It's ok for the price but the wave machine never works and can never book anything on the website

Positive experience: Good swimming pool and the size was decent however the downsides are that the lockers don’t have any type of locks so that is a lack of safety to my personal belongings and the duration of each swimming sessions wasn’t long enough, other then that it was a decent swimming pool.

Negative experience: Not well-kempt swimming pool centre. Changing rooms uncleaned and malodorous. Also, saw two people with hair not wearing a hat swim head cover. Pricey for the conditions the centre offer.

Positive experience: It's disappointing to find out that artificial waves are not working. There was no information about it on the web when I was booking tickets. Kids were gutted.

Positive experience: Nice hidden little gem, very clean. For parents who are not participating there is a seating/cafe space upstairs with a perfect view point of the swimming pool. No photography is allowed. Also there is a small soft play area in this space.

Negative experience: I won't be returning to this place. I used the soft play facilities and pool, I also used the cafe. My child has food intolerances so usually prepare a packed lunch. The lady working at the cafe made the effort to approach me whilst I was feeding my 2yo, to tell me that I must not bring my own food and requested that I leave. I apologised and tried to explain the reason but her English was limited and she could not understand me. 5 mins later she approached my table again to tell me to stop feeding my child and leave the cafe. I thought this was unnecessary and rude, given that I was in the middle of feeding my child. I should not be made to feel like my child and I are not welcome. Furthermore, the facilities are very basic and the staff seem uninterested.

Positive experience: Joined with Gym and Swim membership. Gym staff are amazing - can't fault them. However I booked for body sculpt and the instructor was very rude - made me feel like crap - basically stating I would be better off in the forever active as her class is very intense and that i was not fit enough to attend. Made me feel like I.did not belong there. Went to the forever active class -.again another abrupt instructor- asked who was I?.I was late (got there 5 mins before time) said I need to set up equipment etc. However the class was good and the other people so friendly. Neither of the descriptions on the app mention fitness levels or turning up early. I also regularly attend Badminton Social which is great. Mac is so inclusive and just a general nice guy. I have anxiety and body image issues - the body sculpt instructor really damaged my confidence that Mac and the Gym staff had helped me with. I'm locked in a 12 month contract but will upgrade so.can go to all gyms hoping that this is a one off!

Positive experience: Went for a party. Staff were helpful and kind, the facilities seemed to be high quality and well kept though my only meaningful interaction was in the sports hall

Positive experience: It was nice warm and kids 8 and 10 y had a good hour. For smaller kids it's even better with small slide, fun fountain and free softplay upstairs. Parking is easy, friendly staff, don't forget your lock.

Fantastic experience: Pool was great experience for the kids! A few things for young children so advised bring a toy for the pool, also make sure you bring a gym padlock for the lockers, but the kids had fun!!

Fantastic experience: We love the Latchemere! I always take the kids for a day during the holidays, 1h fun family swimming in the morning (pool is great for the kids of all ages as it starts shallow then goes deep, has water play features and they do waves too!) and then we go to the cafe, order lunch (they won't let you have packed lunches but it's ok they have plenty of options at good prices) and after that 3 hours of soft play! While grown ups can relax at the cafe with a full view of the play area. Toilets at hand too. All for under £18 plus lunch. The only annoying bit is parking is maximum 3 hours so you will have to move the car somewhere else! Today we had Jaqui at reception and she was so kind and helpful, such a nice feeling having someone welcome you with a smile

Negative experience: Staff are useless- there is no help or anything they just hide behind the desk. I would suggest rather get rid of them and save money on their wages. I guarantee automated machines would be better

Negative experience: We usually go to the soft play upstairs. It's extremely dusty and dirty but I always try to look elsewhere. But this morning I notice mice droppings inside the play area. This is shameful because you pay 5 pound per kid and you expect the place to be clean and safe for kids. Nothing to say about the swimming pool or the activities, my kid loves taekwondo lessons and that's the only reason i gave 2 stars.

Fantastic experience: Best kids pool in the area. You have to go online and book a "Family Fun" ticket for a 60-minute slot at a set time. Kids go free, but you need to book a free ticket, and tickets for the weekends sell out quickly, so make sure to book on time, otherwise they won't let your kid in. The pool has a shallow part with a few kids toys (fountain, slide, etc), not a lot but at least a bit to keep the kids entertained (unlike most other pools in the area). The deep part is for lane swimming, but during "Family Fun" sessions, the kids can use it to play/splash/practise swimming. Depending on which lifeguard is on duty, they may or may not allow small kids in there - some of the lifeguards seem to see it as their duty to enforce their own ideas of health and safety onto their customers while others are more relaxed. Unfortunately, it seems like children can't use the pool during lane swimming sessions even though the lanes are completely separate from the shallow area. Also unfortunate is that the second shallow pool (the "teaching pool") seems to be closed all the time. And the opening times basically mean that kids can only go on the weekend, there are no family sessions on weekday afternoons.

Positive experience: I signed up to use only swimming pool, lane swimming, but I have noticed that Tuesday are really busy and having swimming lessons. It was really uncomfortable to swim with 6-7 people sharing one line(medium speed), after finishing my session I went to reception to ask why did they use 2 line for lessons if they actually not swimming, it was only open for lane swimming 1 fast line and 1 medium line. The receptionist was answering back rudely that they need to learn to swim and the group signed up they need this much space( was like 5 people used two lanes) The way he answered me made me feel uncomfortable and he did not even let me ask any questions regarding which days are the less busy to attend to swim to avoid this crowd to share two lanes in the pool, he just straight took the next costumer behind me, so left with a “thanks anyway” answer. Facility is alright for the price I pay for, only some people have no matter and leaves the changing areas disgusting. I will continue attending for sessions. Hopefully the costumer services will be improved as my subscription should be valued as much as learners swimming sessions.

Fantastic experience: Great resources for the whole family I love the introduction to zumba classes and badminton. my teen also uses this for junior gym

Negative experience: A great facility wholly let down by the cafe. The staff at the cafe work hard but the understaffing means you can wait up to ten minutes before you are noticed.

Fantastic experience: Great indoor pool. Friendly staff. I recommend having the membership as it’s less expensive. You can also cancel the membership at any time. You have access to lockers for your things so super secure ( don’t forget your own lock).

Positive experience: The place is alright for a leisure centre in South London. Short review: Everything is decently done to a standard, staff are alright, place is alright, prices are debatable but are alright. Long review: Swimming pool isn’t massive and you can tell it’s mostly for kids and families. Has a wave machine but doesn’t happen often. Swimming lessons are alright but you can get it better elsewhere if you are willing to make the trip. Changing room are an issue but the company is not at fault, some people are just unhygienic and have no manners. Gym is also alright, membership pricing is debatable but if you are looking for a gym nearby theres one here. Play area upstairs is alright, sometimes its closed or not, same with the shop upstairs but I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from there. The classes are also alright. Everything in this place is alright but isn’t amazing or terrible. It depends on your situation. If you live far and want to come here don’t unless you want to, if you live nearby but don’t want to travel far go here.

Negative experience: Booked a swimming session and received a confirmation by email. Arrived in person for the session and was informed it was cancelled due to lack of staff. I asked why I hadn’t been informed and the reception said it was because they didn’t have my number. I asked why they didn’t email, and they said blankly that’s not how their system works. I then requested a refund, to which they replied I’d be sent next steps by email and it would take up to 10 working days. The whole process was messy, disorganised, with a total lack of regard for other people’s time and experience. Poor sense of professionalism.

Negative experience: We have been here previously and it was great but sadly not the case today. Firstly the family pool was freezing, so cold that we couldn’t last the hour swim time and had to leave the pool after 40 minutes. Secondly the wave machine was broken. Obviously these things happen but we weren’t informed at the time of making the booking online nor on arrival at the pool. We only discovered this when halfway through the swim we asked. There are plenty of pools much closer to home we could have gone to, but specifically travel to this one for the waves. My older son has ASD, and unexpected (and disappointing) events are incredibly difficult for him to process/understand, so a huge meltdown followed. Something that we could have easily managed and avoided had someone had the brain to inform us that the machine was broken. Lastly, on leaving we politely asked when they expected it to be fixed and the answer was a blunt “dunno”. Zero apology etc. Unkind and we were left with an upset 7 year old and very unimpressed.

Negative experience: First family swim of the day and it was filthy. The soft play was closed as was the coffee shop. Wouldn't head back

Negative experience: Waiting in the queue with small kids and finnaly asked about booking. But ,then Lady came to ask something and young guy with the black hair just left us. Pool is nice but managment need to work with those young people how to do better customer experience. App is not working and on Web site I can't book (it shows error) And if I book, they have school classes and they move us from lanes.Not worth money,but membership you need to pay every month, just for few days

Fantastic experience: The pool is great for a family fun. Great space for every ages and changing rooms are clean. There also some waves at different time which are a great fun

Negative experience: Some of the swimming female teachers a very rude there no were we coming back there. We miss the old staff a few years ago was very nice, but now only female rude teachers that have no patience.

Positive experience: Had to drive to this leisure centre as my local one is that bad I'm never returning. Parking was a breeze with lots of signs about towing etc. We were reminded by staff to check in the rego upon arrival. Rooms were warm, but large changing rooms for families can be at a pinch to get. Lots of lockers, but byo padlock. We could fit a three person family in the locker ok. Water was warm and there is a sauna in the corner. This is more family oriented, so be warned. Olympic hopefuls don't bother. I used to crack 5 mile / 8km a session, eight times a week. This is not a pool for that kind of effort. Great for kids and young families. Disappointing to see people leave waste behind in the change rooms. Stay classy people. Leave it the way you find it.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place for families. They have a swemming pool with slides , and it looks like a water parkThe perfect place for birthday parties and go carting. Gim and coffee shop with soft play area for your kids.I think it is a nice place combining a lot of things to do.

Negative experience: Changing rooms are really dirty, people don’t take shower before going in the pool, lanes are really narrow. Basically if you are a serious swimmer that needs proper training and practice find an alternative.

Positive experience: The pool is good for children, with a gently sloping floor and lots of water spouts and fountains. The waves came on twice during our hour session, which was fun. The changing rooms were a bit tired out, but it's a council pool with high turn over so not too surprised. Overall good experience with friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Negative experience: Had to pay £26.00 for 2 hours swimming and all the people could only swim in the middle two lanes but on the other hand there were no accidents on this swimming trip

Positive experience: I’ve been here twice with kids and friends, the pool is great. My kids love the new play area, the beach approach is great for my baby niece and my preschoolers love the wave machine. Changing rooms - not big enough for the numbers of people coming and going, and anyone sensitive to noise will get a sensory overload because of the hair dryers. I was desperate to leave. Group change locked for the holidays and not enough family changing rooms. Apparently the buggy park is upstairs- this is too far for harassed parents. The cafe is upstairs, initially it looks pleasant, is big and overlooks the pool. It has a softplay which the kids loved.They are very strict about no outside food and where you can and can’t leave your buggy. I’m fine with sticking to rules but the woman working there was incredibly uptight and unfriendly, and service was quite slow. I think i’d rather just be charged for softplay and left alone

Fantastic experience: There is a special activity for summer holidays, with a large bouncy castle, face painting and good music. We are so impressed with the lady who runs this activity. She is so focused on the chikdren, on safety, while doing superb and ultra fast face painting to the little ones! To be honest, we had only planned to pop in once, but my two kids loved it sooo much we are coming here almost every day it is open. A huge thank you and loads o of admiration to the face painting lady!!

Positive experience: LLC is a place where you can have a quick sweat in terms of diverse activities and exercise found in one spot.

Positive experience: Big venue with different facilities, I just use the gym which doesn't have huge variety. Its more as a rehab gym but has the basics and you have to find alternatives to your workouts as not many options in resistance machines

Positive experience: Staff have always been cool in my experience. The cafe has always been way too expensive but that’s owned independentlY. The reason I dropped 2 stars is because the pool is closed off after 3pm. When kids come out school at 3:30. I used to take my girls here after school during hot days to cool off for a couple of hours but now you can’t do that. Only weekends or if I took them outta school for a day which isn’t happening. It’s just a shame. Maybe look into an opening like Tuesday and Thursday open to public swim until 6pm. Balance it for everyone. There’s money to be made both ways and kids need to cool off. Positive experience: Good pool for babies and young children as they have upgraded it to suit them with a water fountain and slide but the pool temperature was too cold for babies

Negative experience: Please let people leave the pool area when they want. No more time blocked swims thanks - brought in during covid never left ...swim lesson's can be in a separate lane away from normal swimmers. Gym okay but a little small , good café could have more hot food and affordable drink and sandwiches options for kids and families. Complex booking unnecessary for one off users. Lane swimming should have more slots for people not just 13 people. Pool area needs ro be cleaned the outside of the pool with proffesional cleaning products bear minimum is being done right now got rash from this.

Fantastic experience: Latchmere Leisure Centre is my local gym and they're excellent, the staff is always kind and communicative, and makes me feel like a welcome regular. Great for swimming of gyming, and with excellent rates for students.

Positive experience: Decent enough sized pool with a sensible number of people using it at one time

Negative experience: Since Covid, the services of this Centre has plummeted. I used to be able to bring my children swimming after school during the week before 6pm, now the last swim session they have for kids/families during the week is 3-4pm. This was the one place locally you could take your children to for an after school activity and that has been taken away from local families. It is poor decision making on the part of whoever made this decision. You used to be able to swim alongside those who were having swimming lessons in separate lanes. It's almost impossible to book a weekend session last minute and kids cannot swim until after 12.45 on a Saturday. It is ridiculous that we can no longer access the services they are offering swiftly, but instead have to pre-plan to the minute and according to when the centre make family swim slots available and sometimes this is not always suitable when you have children. Very poor managing of the centre in my view and this needs to be reviewed.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place which i have attended since i was a child however the hour time slot is not the one!!

Positive experience: They don't have the slide anymore hasn't been there for a long time. The waters temp varies sometimes its warmer than others..they have bought the wave machine back at every 45 minute intervals or half am hour I'm not sure as I don't watch the clock..kids love it there though. Book online still.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Fair price. Administratively complex to get signed up, even for a one day drop in. Not sure why, the whole process is "necessary" before they can charge you the 12 quid daily rate. Which is a management failure that the front desk staff and the customer must compensate for. Nice gym though.

Positive experience: The elephant slide may be gone, but the wave machine is back! Wey hey! Horrific app to book, but that is common. Don't forget to put in your car registration plate after the gates for parking. On my last visit I was given a band to indicate how long our session was. So it looks like sessions are slightly longer now perhaps 1 hour whereas before they were 45 minutes.

Negative experience: Frustrating when you arrive at 6:40am for a gym workout and you are told staff haven't turned up so the gym is closed!

Negative experience: We were here two weeks ago when a young boy was upside down in a rubber ring, right in front of the lifeguard who was paying zero attention. Thankfully 4 adults noticed and rushed to him to bring him up. When this was pointed out to the lifeguard, he just shrugged his shoulders and was more interested in the bags that were getting wet by the wave machine!

Negative experience: 1) Even if you have premium membership you can't get to the swimming pool because you have to book each time and It's impossible to "catch" tickets to book because it's overcrowded. 2) The swimming pool is very DIRTY! First day we came my son found earring at the bottom it was there for many days/months because it was rusrty and the coach (lifeguard) wasn't even surprised when we gave it to him, nor said thank you or sorry for inconvenience. Next time I found scrunchy in the water. 3) I was charged 5 pounds because of computer mistake. Now I can't book further bookings for swimming. Annoying, frustrating not nice at all. Phone and email is hopeless to contact. Maneger never answered me neither by phone nor by email. They just don't care about customers. Ps. There is one nice guy at reception, don't remember his name unfortunately, but he's a star. So Latchmere leisure you've got 1 star from me.

Positive experience: We used to come here as kids for the waves and slid . And did a couple summers ago . Went today and no waves , no slid and now charging £5 for soft play . Was disappointed and felt it’s cheeky they now charge for soft play it’s more of a pit stop before or after your swim .

Positive experience: This is specifically about the pool. I go swimming with my toddler. There is plenty space to change and one half of the pool is very shallow so good for children who want to run about in the water. You are not allowed any deeper than adult waist height if you can't swim - this includes if you are an adult who can swim holding a child - so it is a useless pool for teaching your child to swim in any meaningful way. The shallow part is too shallow to stand and hold your child, so you have to stoop which is very uncomfortable. The elephant slide has been removed and the second pool is now out of bounds. If you want a fun splash about it's nice. If you want to teach your child to swim, then it's a bit rubbish.

Positive experience: Just had a visit here, I booked online for 4 people last week, walked straight in showed time got in the pool within 10 minutes of arriving, wonderful polite and friendly staff! The pool temperature is absolutely amazing! It's so warm compared to other pools I have visited! The 1 hour at a time slots are very strictly enforced so make sure you arrive at least 15 mins before your swim slot, the elephant slide is currently unavailable, and I did not see the wave machine in use I highly recommend this place

Negative experience: Greedy scheme covered with the COVID excuse. 45 minutes blocks offered, just unacceptable! Defo taking advantage as we are so stupid supporting this scheme with our bookings. Please give us back the right to stay in the pool longer without needing to book in advance.

Negative experience: It's a shame you only have an hour slot .my daughter has three kids to get ready for swimming and an hour in the pool is not long enough and not worth the money .it's quite expensive just for on hour . We have since gone to another pool that is well worth the money with no restrictions . It's a greedy scheme

Positive experience: You have gym, swim, fitness classes + sauna hopefully soon for 40 a month and it's great. The website to book classes however is painfully slow.

Positive experience: I was very disappointed that when we booked the recent swimming session we were not told that the elephant slide was closed off, the sauna was locked due to Covid and the wave machine was broken! As these are the only reasons we drive across town to come to this pool, we felt somewhat cheated!

Positive experience: This is a large and well maintained place for the whole family. My son has been going to their famous swimming pool with waves since he was 3 years old, as it is very friendly for young kids. The gymnasium is very large and multiple companies offer their activities there, so there are many options throughout the week of classes and fun for kids and grownups. The weights room has fairly new equipment and in decent good conditions. Honestly the staff doesn't seem happy most of the time, although I am always treated with respect and have no personal complaints, just question their care for staff.

Positive experience: Nice and clean swimming pool but a little crowded. It has family changing rooms which is so useful with little children. Fairly priced.

Negative experience: Just dont book. Changing rooms smell of urine so badly, its expensive as you're only able to book in groups of 5 for just 1 hour, the pool itself looks filthy, not only that the waves machine and slides is out of work, the staff specially the lifeguards are rude and unfriendly. The only positive was the food upstairs run by a very friendly man. Also bare in mind the soft play is also shut and the upstairs looks outdated and sad. I'd avoid and book elsewhere, they're so many clean and cheaper pools around. Very disssapointed!

Negative experience: Booked a 'Family Splash' session here. They force you to buy a family ticket (for 5 people) for the session, even if there is only two of you. This makes the pool about 50% more expensive than other places if you are a small family. What's worse is that all the facilities they advertise on their website are not open or not working. Both the slides: closed. The wave machine: broken. The soft play area: padlocked. It doesn't say anywhere on the website that all the advertised facilities are closed. Furthermore, staff do not tell you any of this on the phone. I had to ring several times on the day I made the booking as the website was impossible to navigate, and neither of the two staff members I spoke thought to mention any of this when I bought my ticket. Disgraceful. Edited the review to include some information I left out the first time around. They also don't tell you that you need to bring your own padlock for the lockers. If you don't have one you have to leave your stuff at the poolside, not secure at all.

Fantastic experience: I am happy that I discovered that place few weeks ago. The swimming pool is excellent, the staff are amazing and very friendly. And so close to the Battersea Park. I am going for scuba diving holiday on Wednesday. But after arrival, I will sign for the membership

Fantastic experience: The Latchmere is the best swimming experience at many pools I've had in thirty years. It's perfect, lanes or an easy leisurely section. The gym is very good too,there is always someone around for advice. And all the staff are sociable friendly and efficient This is now my second home. Don't change a thing Latchmere! 10/10
