Fantastic experience: I have been going Meridian fitness 2 years. It’s an amazing gym and there is spa and sauna. Staffs are awesome especially Edvin and Kash.

Positive experience: They sell it as "premium" gym with a spa, but everything is relative. The "spa" is quite limited and the showers could be cleaner. It has a sauna and a steam room but they are small and don't provide towels. Booking a "Couples Spa Day" was a bit fiddly. I called in the morning and they said they would reserve the spot for me, but when I called in the afternoon, just to confirm, they said the spot was taken by someone else. Then, the main room has too many apparatus but they are typically a bit awkward to use and it is lacking from a Wattbike and a sled, both included in most premium gyms. The classes are good, though. Good variety and the room upstairs is big and with plenty of natural light. I think the 3.9 rating (259 people) at the time of writing sounds about right. I am giving a 4 as it is the closest integer.

Positive experience: Based on others reviews looks like the management could be a bit more understanding in solving problems, however personally I never had any. That being said I never tried to move appointments or pause the membership etc. Beeing going to this gym for more than a two years and 99% greeted by friendly staff. The gym is generally good quality, could be a bit cleaner. During summer could use air conditioning more. Sometimes, but rarely classes are a bit too full but generally speaking I am very happy with the quality of them. I see some reviews are saying that this isn't a premium gym - while I agree I think they're out of touch with gym prices. Premium gyms cost +£90 a month so in my opinion they charge a good price for what's proivided. Generally speaking I am very happy with the staff, classes, equipment and appointments. There is room for improvement but definitely great value.

Fantastic experience: I'm a fairly new member, and so far, I'm happy with my choice. Obviously, it's more pricey than high street chain gyms, but for me, it's worth it. The place is clean, staff are friendly and competent, the gym is well equipped and doesn't get too packed, lots of classes available and it's nice to have the sauna & steam as an option. It's only £5 to bring a guest and they can enjoy all the facilities. I get a monthly massage with my membership and it's something I look forward to each month. I've tried a few different therapists and just had my best massage so far with Donelle. It was amazing! She was very thorough and clearly knew what she was doing and I felt soooo good afterwards. All in all, I would recommend this place.

Negative experience: They expected me to come in for my booked massage while I was on my period, telling me they have trained professionals that can clean ‘my blood’ if I stain their bed. This is weird and funny because I asked to reschedule and they said they cannot.

Negative experience: I been attending this gym since last September but since may I haven't been living in that area and I asked at that time for one of the staff members to cancel or freeze my membership or so ever, they said yes sure we will do it, then in a middle of July I noticed that i keep being charged... I called a support center they said u gotta pay 2 more months more and then it will get cancelled i was really disappointed... And now i just got charged again...... i mean i am a student and when i leave a country ! been paying for my membership from may till October and i was not living there i asked 2 times to cancel it and they confirmed it. I want a refund. I payed for 6 months since may. That is 240£

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym club! The staff are always friendly, helpful, and sometimes offers workout advices, making it easy to stay motivated. The sauna and spa area are consistently clean and well-maintained, providing the perfect place to relax after a workout. The only downside is that there’s just one machine that hasn’t been fixed since I started my membership, but aside from that I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great fitness experience..

Negative experience: This review is to express my dissatisfaction with your gym’s membership practices and customer service. When I initially signed up for a 3-month membership, I was under the clear impression that the contract was limited to that period. However, my membership was extended without my consent, and at no point during the sign-up process was it made clear that this would not be a 3-month subscription. This misleading practice is both unacceptable and unethical. In addition, the membership fee was increased from £59 to £65 without any prior notice. This is highly unprofessional, especially considering that other gyms, such as The Gym Group, offer memberships for as little as £20 a month with superior equipment and better-qualified staff. Your facility does not justify the higher costs, and I believe your pricing structure lacks transparency. Furthermore, after multiple attempts to cancel my membership via email, I have been met with extremely rude responses from your customer service team. Their dismissive and arrogant tone is a clear indication that they are untrained in proper customer relations. I have also noticed similar complaints from other members, which suggests that this is a recurring issue. It is apparent that your staff lacks the skills to handle customer concerns effectively, and this reflects poorly on the management of the gym. Lastly, I am concerned about the overall safety standards in your gym. In my experience, it seems that your team is not adequately trained to conduct operations safely or manage the facility to a professional standard. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at Meridian for over 3.5 years. Meridian is the ideal gym for working professionals, just 2 mins from central Greenwich. Its equipment is in perfect state and frequently updated, while any faulty equipment(extremely rare) is being fixed in no time. There is an abundance of very well thought and nicely scheduled gym classes to choose from, that will satisfy even the most demanding gym goer.You can join a morning, lunch break or any of the late evening classes varying from core strength, weights to yoga. Meridian strongest card is its instructors and staff. Everyone is always friendly, welcoming and LGBTQ+ friendly.The instructors put all their energy and love their job. Martin's CrossFit alike classes can only compare to Third Space classes. There's some room for improvement in the frequency of cleaning, but during past Covid outbreaks the measures and cleanness were exceptional and top level. * Equipment: 5/5 * Stuff:5/5 * Classes: 5/5 * Cleanness: 4/5 I haven't used the sauna steam room so the above doesn't apply to those.

Negative experience: Decent gym if you want to put your life at risk. Have had numerous fires in this gym. Also heard they like banning people for silly reason. Have banned some decent people I have met at the gym. Have heard this from Numerous people.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym around the time it first opened. It used to offer towel service and a smoothie bar. But of course time and the economy changes things. What has remained consistent though is the friendliness of the staff, the fantastic sauna and the variety of weight lifting equipment. There is a really good free weight space here, from 6kg to 40kg. I also like that it has a dedicated dead lifting platform. I think because of the price of membership, it isn’t as packed as the pure gyms and gym group ones. Which is a plus for me, because I honestly dislike having to find a small space, gather all the weights I need and start working out. Here, it’s quiet enough for me to have a good well rounded work out. Even during the busy periods, I can still get a nice workout in without waiting for the equipment. On to the sauna and steam room, they are nice. They do the job and is part of the price. They are usually well maintained and has gone through a couple of renovations and repairs since I’ve been a member.

Positive experience: Deep Tissue massage plus Sunna and steam bath booked. I visited this local Gym & Spa booked for a session of 1hr with my other half. Was warmly welcomed by staff names Donelle. Extremely welcoming, explained what she was going to be doing. So far she is the best off all spa massage therapist I have met. She was gentle, relaxing room and mostly professional. However for a small Sunna and Steam room I find the setting not clean. Needs some regular cleaning and tidying up. The Sunna robes and slippers are so old would do with new ones if possible encourage customers to carry their own. Hygienically not up to standard. Untidy and extremely dirty plus over crowdedness for the setting.

Fantastic experience: I had a massage at Meridian Fitness and I really enjoyed. The price paid was fantastic and the therapist, Charlotte, was very professional. The athmosphere was very relaxing, and the products used you could tell there were premium. Will definetly use again.

Negative experience: Really incompetent and dangerous management. It's their 4th fire in a year, two of them in the sauna! Take your fire extinguisher along with your towel when working out. I reckon this gym will be close soon by authorities.

Fantastic experience: I Highly recommend a sports massage from Donnell ( hope I haven't misspelt your name), had my first one last week Friday 19 Jan and immediately booked my second one for yesterday. I never realised the benefits of having one, especially if you are a heavy gym user like myself. It just ironed out all the niggles over my body and the essential benefits are, that I immediately noticed in all my weightlifting exercises they just seem more easier and balanced and cardio just seems a breeze. Get ready for the pain! But its all worth it and you will start to notice these benefits immediately or at least I did. Next one is 2nd Feb, will incorporate this as part of training regime, to have at least one a month.

Positive experience: I had one of the most relaxing massages here. I arrived at the gym 10 minutes before my appointment and I was asked to wait and the masseuse would pick me up. The masseuse came right on the dot. She led me to the treatment room upstairs and asked me whether I would like to use the bathroom before we start the massage. I got ready and lied on the massaging bed. Around 8 minutes after the appointment time. So we started around 10 minutes after the appointment time. The masseuse was very gentle. She informed me every steps. The bed is comfortable. There was relaxing spa music. The pressure was not very hard. It was more for a relaxation instead of loosening up your tendon. I fell asleep halfway. I would have given five stars, but The massage finished 10 minutes short, and the room it’s not warm enough in January. If they still offer discount, I will come back.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful session! The staff is really welcoming and friendly . The variety of equipment and classes make it suitable for all age group and athletic abilities. The sauna and steam is a wonderful bonus after a long workout session. Also highly recommend getting a treatment with the member discounts!

Negative experience: I started training at gyms almost 20 years ago. In that time, I have probably been a member of 12-15 different gyms across the south and in London. I’ve probably visited another 20 on top for one off sessions. I have to say, honestly, this is the worst gym I have ever visited. Most of the equipment is in a sorry state, badly in need of updating, and some of it doesn’t even work. Almost all the cable equipment is screwed up and everything is worn out. The hygiene of the place is terrible, the toilets and the changing rooms are worse than a run down secondary school, and the sauna and steam rooms don’t work. To top it all off, there have been multiple fires in the last year and the place is essentially a health hazard, and should be closed down or completely taken over and re done. DO NOT BOTHER.

Negative experience: Very poorly run gym that has caused fires on four separate occasions. Also, they make it very difficult to actually terminate a contract, I signed up once on a trial and it was very difficult to get out of contract. This gym needs to take responsibility for the recent and reoccurring fires that keep happening. This is a serious fire hazard and risk to life and resident wellbeing if not rectified!

Negative experience: Negligent gym that has caused fires on multiple occasions endangering the residents who live above it. When I was a member, lots of the machines failed to work properly and the gym management also make it difficult to actually terminate a contract. This gym needs to take accountability for its actions!

Negative experience: I would not recommend Meridian Fitness for spa treatments. I booked a 35 minute body scrub and left feeling very disappointed. The treatment started 10 minutes late and I was from the start told that we needed to be quick because of this. The scrub on my body was applied all within 5 minutes and I was then asked to walk by the gym area while classes were happening in a robe. I had to shower in the general gym changing rooms as there is no separate facility for the spa. After the shower, with still 15 minutes remaining of my treatment I was told that we had no more time and I was given moisturizer in a plastic cup to apply on my own. The 35 minute treatment started 10 minutes late and finished 10 minutes early. Overall waste of money.

Positive experience: A am a little disappointed with my experience here, as a booked a relaxing massage for myself and my wife that didn't meet our expectations. Pros: - Both masseuse' were friendly, polite and attentive The negatives: - My masseuse was 10mins late to her shift. When she was ready, rather than coming down the stairs she hailed me to come up from the top of the stairs. - I really wanted a relaxing massage, some quiet and ambience. My therapist complained that she was tired, how hard it was to have a children and that she needed to speak to keep herself awake throughout the entire 30 minute session. This did not provide a relaxing nor professional setting. Despite me constantly closing my eyes and barely replying to show I was trying to relax, the therapist continued to speak about various things. - My wife's masseuse was also very kind and polite, but my wife felt the therapist didn't really know what she was doing, and did not feel relaxed. - The waiting area for the massages are literally three chairs underneath stairs at the front of the gyms entrance. Again, not relaxing. Next time I will book an actual spa place. **edit** To the person that responded from Meridian Fitness, check the date 01.05.23 for the Swedish Massage & Best Foot Forward massage. Negative experience: I had a massage here. I booked for Saturday but then I was called and informed they dint offer saturdays any longer. The masseur lady was very very sick! Through all the massage she was coughing a lot and sniffing - thats far from relaxing! It is off putting. 5 days later I was sick and I was home all that time so I had to catch it there. Really bad and unpleasant experience

Fantastic experience: Good atmosphere, everyone keeps to themselves in the gym whilst also offering a quick spot on certain exercises when needed. My favourite part about this gym is that, even at peak times, it is not overly crowded and have always been able to get on equipment. Obviously a slightly smaller gym therefore the range of machines might not be as vast as some larger gyms, but this is more than made up for by the fact you can actually get on the machines you want to!

Negative experience: Update: I have just read the other reviews and many people writing the same thing about staff, communication & being spoken down too. Meridan are also replying with sarcastic and undermining replies. Standard! Awful awful experience. Booked two massages through Treatwell and turned up to be told it had been rescheduled. No message, email or text prior to let me know. Had arranged childcare and travelled to get to the appointment. The receptionist at the time said he couldn't help, called up the following day (today) and was passed to the duty manager who also didn't help. Been trying to get through to the spa which is near impossible. Not once from any member of staff was I offered an apology for the inconvenience or anything. Was just simply told 'I can't help'. Working in a customer-facing job myself, I don't understand how people can be so unhelpful! Would leave a 0 stars if I could...

Negative experience: I would not recommended this place to my worst enemy. I wouldn’t work here or go to the gym or even have spa treatment here avoid at all cost. Staff are not professional the management have favourites. Gym membership it too over priced for what your paying. Your paying a ridiculous amount to use the tiniest and smelliest sauna and steam room I’ve seen. The manager is never there to actually see how this place operates

Offers very practical and detailed advice whether it’s by conversation or part of the classes, of which are very engaging, testing, intense and most of all fun. This highlights the friendly and helpful atmosphere of the gym which has been really helpful for progress towards my body goals! Totally recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was a personal training client of Joshua Morris for a month at Meridian Fitness. Besides being fun & friendly, the sessions with him offered a really structured path to fitness tailored to my fitness goals around functional strength and calisthenics. Joshua is very knowledgeable around health, fitness, and combat sports, so I recommend his training style to anyone looking to accelerate their fitness journey and take it to new highs.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Joshua for a few months, participating to his boxing classes in a group and having private lessons. I’ve developed much more confidence in a short amount of time, perfecting techniques and speed. I highly recommend training with him, not just for his being very professional but also because you’ll have so much fun and see results at the same time!

Negative experience: As a woman I always feel uncomfortable going to this gym. The male reception staff are often hostile and condescending too. Other than that , this place is incredibly overpriced for what u get and gym equipment will go unfixed for months despite the fact we pay £50 a month for the gym

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of training at ti's gym since 2016. It has been a positive experience. However the highlight has been classes and personal training by Josh Morris. I have rheumatoid arthritis and for a long time my joints have not been great. However some of my limited movement was because I was scared to use certain joints. I was becoming too fixed in my comfort zone. For instance I couldn't squat. But within 3 sessions, this all changed. Josh has a great way of using his positivity to motivate which leads to outcomes we didn’t think we could achieve. This is also evident in his spin classes. This lad is an asset to the gym. Keep it up!

Negative experience: I came to check the place out as I’d just moved into the area but the changing rooms and spa rooms were filthy. Definitely not somewhere you’d like to be barefoot. No towels apart from two laying on the floor in an attempt to soak up the water spilling over from showers. The smell was terrible and the whole place just so unclean. I’d recommend a new mop head.

Negative experience: Came for a free trial but sadly will not be signing up solely for the cleanliness of the place - particularly the changing rooms, shower, sauna and steam room areas. Everything seemed promising until 3 steps into the men’s changing rooms and you were immediately hit by a wall of humidity, the smell of damp and sweat that has clearly never left the room since the place opened. Patrons had left towels on the floor to soak up the moisture which people were walking on. Absolutely grim. There’s so much promise for the place but sadly I’ve been put off.

Negative experience: Misogynist, patronizing and unbelievably disrespectful customer service. Gym facilities are modest. The spa is filthy and gym going members often objectify women while sitting in the spa. The customer service, in particular the manager, is awful. After cancelling my membership several months ago I called to notify that the company was still billing me and the manager spoke to me as if i was a child. I could not believe the way the manger spoke to me. Rude. Repeatedly interrupted me, refusing to acknowledge the undeniable billing error, patronizing language, highly misogynist manager and personally disrespectful.

Negative experience: I regularly go for massage as this helps me to reduce my back tension. I would definitely not recommend this Spa due to the following reasons: 1) i booked for 1 hour treatment and received a 50 mins treatment, 2) The spa therapist has rushed out through the treatment and overall, i did not receive a good treatment 3) The therapist is unsympathetic. As a result of which, i have posted a negative feedback on treatwell which they did not take well. Now, when i try to schedule a treatment with another therapist, they are accepting my booking then cancelling it on the same day. This is unfortunately an unethical spa and i would not recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Came here for a freestyle massage done by Ronald and it was great. The spa inside is lovely and clean, the staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Ronald was lovely, sometimes you can feel a bit vulnerable when getting a massage but Ronald was so communicative and put me at ease. The massage itself was amazing, Ronald knew what areas to focus on and managed to really work on them. He warned me I might feel a bit sore after as he really had to work some problem areas, but any soreness I did have was extremely minor and not an issue. I left feeling so refreshed and relaxed, I’ll definitely be coming back! 10/10, id recommend.

Fantastic experience: Really pleasant staff, gym and spa. They provide personal programme cards where you know what exercises to do to achieve your desired result. They have PT sessions, many classes where you can work on strengthening, mind body and more. I have had two massages here and they were really lovely and attentive, and it also has a steam and sauna room which a lot of other gyms don't. Overall I have been able to shift my mindset from not wanting to go to the gym to coming here multiple times a week, definitely recommended

Negative experience: The spa area is a social club for local people. Instead of relaxing you get to hear all their life stories which is not what I am looking for in sauna. Usually also very dirty. When my contract finished, relieved, I cancelled all my direct debits and was told by Meridian that I wouldn't be charged from June... 9th of June they still took the money. I called them, was promised someone would call me but nothing happened. Sent an email and also no answer. They've not only cancelled the charge on their side... Negative experience: Update: 27th October, been chasing to cancel the membership for over 1 week now and they are unresponsive, unhelpful, and not willing to help. They are just trying to avoid the situation and kick back. I will wait for a reasonable amount of time and kick back harder with the power of the law. This stuff is easy for me, I’ve dealt with many people like this in England. But just a warning for the rest. Don’t get into a contract with this company, pay less than half the price and go to the Gym group or Puregym or somewhere else, that’s where I’m heading next. Unless you enjoy the company of very talkative people in the sauna then this is just the place for you. Yet to see any effort. A couple or several machines do not work for months, limited time frames for wet area and no control of what customers do or say within the wet area, rude customers disrespect innocent shy customers, making others feel uncomfortable, no consideration for people who want to meditate and not talk, even if 4 people are speaking at once in sauna, they won’t stop, you have to leave. I have countless examples of customers being incredibly rude to people for no good reason. If a new customer comes in or someone who has had enough and puts their foot down on one of them it will create an altercation and further issues, investigations, escalations, membership revokes etc. maybe a big strong sign in the wet room mentioning respect and it’s importance may help etc.

Negative experience: DO NOT RECOMMEND Appalling finance management. Charged me after I cancelled my membership! Prices are high and so you would expect that service standard is too. Unfortunately, it isn't. I called their telephone line and was redirected to other people who didn't help solve the problem. I came in person and still somehow those working there said it's not something they deal with and I still got charged for an extra month AFTER I officially cancelled my membership (on time, as in, leaving enough time before the next payment, so they could cancel my direct debit, which they didn't until I had to block them from my bank) Very disappointed. I used to be a regular there and loved the classes, but god the service!! Makes it look like they only want the money off you. Up to this day, I still get messages from them that there's failed payments even though it's almost been a year since I left and cancelled my membership there. Would never go back or recommend Meridian Fitness, if you don't want to be ripped off by a gym you decide not to go to any more, then don't sign up at Meridian Fitness in Greenwich

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym offering everything you’d need. I was on a day trip taking my daughter for a uni audition and Till was kind enough to let me have a day pass and use the facilities. Helpful, friendly and would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: A wonderful little Meridian oasis. Sauna & steam brightens my day after my workouts and sometimes also when I just come to relax when I am tired after the work and I only come to enjoy the lovely heat in the wintertime. Sometimes it is almost empty (weekdays mornings), sometimes it can get busier (weekends) but there is always a space to sit down next to each other. Even though I am not really a person who likes to go to classes, I prefer just to use the equipment (rowing machine, weights) I tried boxing class and yogiilates once and both instructors were really professional and I felt great after the classes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cleaner cleans a changing room area and spa area regularly. I can see her cleaning all the time. Overall really great price for a gym membership with the sauna and steam. I booked myself for the spa treatments. 30min Best Foot Forward and 60min Deep Tissue Massage with Sobika Selvam last week and she was amazing. I highly recommend her. I gonna book with her next time again
