Negative experience: Receptionist was terrible ( a young girl who provided no information or help). No information on site regarding mixed changing rooms, lockers, covid process with reception not helping. I wont be going back....

Negative experience: Cold showers, cold baby pool, poor experience. Needs loads of repairs

Negative experience: the only sports centre in tw and communication 0,they lied that all members were informed by email that no swimming for 2weeks..they have a swimming portal where if you would check you would see ,next session ...another fail..why have a portal if its not functional??!!Come on guys ,do your job!!Then my son gone from level 3 to level 4,they get a little certificate for each level...guess what I have asked the last 2 months...same answer...it's been ordered..I place orders in China and I get them within a week...where do you get your orders from???

Negative experience: The repair works are slow, often have either the doors broken, or showers with no hot water. Introduced a fee for missing the classes on a short notice. Reception team unfriendly. Wouldn't allow you to use anything until the fee for missing a class is paid. However, when they inform you on a short notice that the class is cancelled, or not informing you at all, that's totally fine.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff.

Positive experience: Nice little sports centre, you can tell it's of its age. But at least it's there for the community

Negative experience: unfortunately i don’t think i will be using this leisure centre again. after using the gym and spa facilities for a while, it’s got worse and worse and i can no longer do it. the women’s changing rooms aren’t pleasant, broken lockers without doors, often sanitary towels or other unpleasant things in lockers when you open them, always dirty with hairs everywhere, the showers are absolutely disgusting, they smell like fish and urine and the soap dispensers are cracked and never have soap in them. there is a sign up saying “do not urinate in the spa facilities” which tells you all you need to know. the stream room smells horribly damp and isn’t relaxing as you can hear people above you in the gym dropping weights on the floor, and sauna is actually okay, the shower is often broken in the spa area. pool is often closed and hard to access but i guess there are classes etc on so can’t be helped. design of the centre is strange, to get from the pool to the sauna/ stream room you have to run through the communal entrance in your bathing suit or towel and the facilities aren’t linked! very embarrassing. also the open hours aren’t brilliant, what gym closes at 4pm on a saturday? overall the whole place needs a good refurbishment, but for now i will have to find an alternative.

Positive experience: Pool not open until 8.45 pm??? Bizarre. I'd not sleep if I swam that late.

Positive experience: Only go weekly at the weekend to use the gym. It is normally fairly busy but can still be hard to get on some machines. The machines available are fairly good. They could make improvements such as increasing the number of benches, replacing one of the squat racks with another cable pulley which is the most popular piece of equipment. Add a further cable pulley downstairs where there is room between the lat pulldown machine and shoulder press. Finally they need to fix the water fountain which hasn't worked for about a month!!

Fantastic experience: Took my little boy who's 2 for his first swim! Staff was very friendly and even threw in loads of toys to make my boy enjoy his first time in a decent sized kids pool:)! Definitely recommend....didn't go in main pool due to being with my son but looked a decent size and well maintained.

Positive experience: Closes too early but great gym needs a pec deck , classes shouldn’t be in the weight area gets too crowded when I try to do weights

Negative experience: Really disappointing! I can only comment on the gym facilities as I have not used the others available but based on my experience with the gym space I would be surprised if they were any different. The gym space is reasonably equipped however it is humid and unpleasant. On thr odd occasion the AC is on, its in only one section. I have asked about this on several occasions and received different reasons why its not working each time - this has been the case since I joined in Jan. On one occasion i was informed the AC was on a timer and that they couldn't change it, another it was broken and was about to be repaired(that was a month ot so ago now) and another time they seemed oblivious that there was any problem. I have only been a member a short while and already I'm moving yo a different establishment. The gym overly warm and smells because of it and the lack of air flow. Some of the equipment is warn out and needs to be replaced/maintained. Thr layout is generally poor with squat tracks too close together and space could be used better. On at least three occasions there have been power failures and the gym closes. Overall its a poor gym, and for £50 a month I would expect it to be at least be fully operational.

Negative experience: I have booked and paid for swimming 4 times on the App. The second time there was a power outage and the App still accepted my booking. When I arrived at the centre there was a notice saying a power outage and centre closed (I drove 12 miles from Mayfield). I made another booking 2 weeks later on the App and then someone called to say that there was another power outage and center closed (good that I received a call this time). She said she wasn’t able to change the booking but would request that it be changed to 5 May. I checked on the App and the booking doesn’t appear, and no one is answering the phone at the centre. Very unreliable. I want the cash back now. I’m done with this centre.

Negative experience: This does not feel like a well run facility, I only use the pool and occasionally squash court. The pool is cloudy and smells heavily of chlorine which is a clear sign it's reacting with something. The changing rooms need a decent clean and toilets have been frankly disgusting. Squash courts are often full of debris. Budgets may be tight but at some point it will effect revenue. I feel like they rely on a local facility monopoly to continue

Negative experience: Extremely poor equipment and service. If you want to cancel your membership, you will have to pay an extra month which is extremely unprofessional. I notified them in the middle of the month, but I was forced to pay the next one as well, the reason being that my payment is on the beginning of the month.

Negative experience: Soft play is filthy! It's just disgusting No one bothered when I asked to have a look and clean. Receptionist asked lifeguard to clean!! Ridiculous, very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Amazing, I'm a member and every time I go the facilities are always clean and amazing from the pools to the gym to the badminton courts absolutely amazing.

Positive experience: Slightly tired but clean. You need to book a swimming slot which is a bit of a nuisance as you end up organising your day round it rather than fitting swimming into your day. Staff pleasant.

Positive experience: i go to the diving club here it has very nice boards of a good quality however the pool had lots chlorine in and it does hurt ur eyes. also the one meter platform is a bit broken also the general dove every sunday does get canccled a lot

Negative experience: Tunbridge Wells Centre closed today and Fusion didn't bother to email their members. Just a piece of paper on the front door: Closed - Staff Sickness. How many wasted journeys for their members today? Very disappointing for a long-term member. Tennis courts and other facilities rarely cleaned to an acceptable standard. I wish this place was run better.

Negative experience: Saturday and Sunday they close at 4pm! It is too early!!!!! Some people prefer evening sessions. Closing time should be at 8pm on the weekend! Oh, and toilets always stinks. Thinking of changing gym.

Negative experience: The gym isn’t great, there is no designated area for stretching or even free weights training. The gym and changing rooms are FILTHY!! Lots of people come to the gym in their normal clothes and shoes. Reception staff is rude and actively unhelpful (apart from one lady, blonde, middle aged - she is super nice). The pool is surprisingly good. Clean, the changing rooms seem to be looked after albeit a bit outdated.

Fantastic experience: Great children's pool for babies and toddlers, make sure to book. Family changing rooms in the main pool area

Negative experience: The most frustrating customer service ever. Reception NEVER answer the phone. We only come here for my sons swimming, however I would be loathed to join purely due to the lack of reception staff actually being able to answer a phone.

Negative experience: I really think their “holidays opening hours” are a bit too self indulging… there is no bank holiday between 27-31/12 and still there they are closing at 18:00. So the people that are working full time I suppose they re supposed to stay at home and order some cakes instead of training. Very disappointing considering the inflated membership prices

Negative experience: We booked for 5 of us to go swimming they cancelled the swimming. We had already paid. They said are refund would take 28 days this was a month ago now they are saying it will be 3 months absolutely disgraceful!

Negative experience: Whilst boasting the most expensive gym membership in the area, the centre also throws in unreliable services free of charge! Whilst it’s true that the membership offers Gym, Swim and Sauna facilities - which may seem like good value at first glance - you can also guarantee at least one of these is not operational. I really do want to like this Leisure Centre. I have been a member here cumulatively for around a year and a half, but I have been disappointed too many times by unreliable facilities. If it’s not the sauna, the shower is broken. If not that, then there is maintenance on the gym. The most laughable part is that they have recently invested nearly 500k for new equipment. Meanwhile - the facilities continue to breakdown. It has gotten to the point where a membership here simply can’t be justified relative to the alternatives. If you’re intent on joining, you best set your expectations to seeing “out of order” signs most weeks. If you’re intent on leaving, guess what? It takes 1 month to cancel - so you’ll have to make another DD payment, which will keep you on for even longer. All these factors combined are a real sign to me that this leisure centre fails to act on feedback and is solely focused on attracting as many customers at the highest price point possible. A real shame - but you are much better off trying another centre nearby. The drive may be further, but at least you’ll get your money’s worth.

Positive experience: Love taking the grandchildren to the baby pool. Warm not too cold. Very relaxing. Friendly staff. Has lots of facilities here including a small softplay area.

Negative experience: What a shame, this centre is being so badly run it's ridiculous. Never enough staff, an IT system that doesn't work. Ceiling lights not working in the sports halls again, last time these took over a year to get replaced. The Council lost interest in it years ago so let it out to Fusion who operate it on such a tight budget. Changing rooms dirty, never seem to be cleaned, neither are the Courts. A real mess

Positive experience: Great facilities but needs an organisational shake up - seems to be a lot of last minute changes.

Negative experience: When we do get to play 5-a-side football it's great but I've got to question the organisational attributes of the team. It feels like we're on an episode of The Brittas Empire. Very rarely have we turned up and the court is ready to go, there's sometimes a double booking. The week's fun is 24 hours notice to say that the gym is being moved into the hall we've booked for the next few weeks. Although thankfully due to all the radiators being on to the max throughout the leisure centre everyone gets a free sauna. You'd have thought that with energy bills being more expensive that London's finest ladies of the night someone might have thought to turn them off but heh-ho. The staff are nice and friendly but come on guys, the whole place is looking ridiculous.

Negative experience: Table Tennis "facilities" in this sports centre are downright terrible, basically non-existent. It consists of one old falling apart table, located in a "social area" (why?), surrounded by benches and vending machines (a pain when the ball goes under them). The impression this sports centre gives is Table Tennis is considered an afterthought. The fact you have to pay to play on this one awful table in a poorly lit dirty unsuitable social area is a joke. Why isn't it given the same love the other racket sports are given and put a few new tables in a well lit spacious suitable room.

Negative experience: What's the point of even trying to phone you you never even answer it's not the first time I've complained

Negative experience: Hygiene. It is unacceptable to pay money for these kind of facilities. Soft play area is full of crumbs, hair, dust (need extra dummy? - you will find it inside. Might be mouldy though). Children are crawling and breathing all of this! The vending machine in play area - full of cheapest sugary drinks and sweets (and we are talking about sport and swimming centre - to promote healthier life style, right?). All other vending machines are broken (make sure you bring enough water with you). Stairs, handles, watching area in the balcony - in between the seats you will find everything... the floor - if you rub it with your shoe - you will see the true colour of it. The only positive thing - the right temperature in the baby swimming pool. So, if you think of purchasing a membership there - think twice. Time for management change and extra cleaners for sure.

Positive experience: I play tennis, squash and badminton, and occasionally use the gym and swimming pool in this center. Everything is ok, cleanish and the staff are helpful. My membership is good value for money and they've even fixed the app so it's easy to see the availability and book.

Positive experience: After trying to swim a few times I’m incredibly frustrated that people are using the swimming lane to juts non around on foot and chat to one another at a snails pace .. making it incredibly difficult to enjoy a light swim .. and the lifeguards don’t seem to mind. It’s so rude and people just don’t care about others experience … it’s not a chat lane it’s the slow lane … Juts have a chat at the end then do your ‘swimming when your done catching up’ It’s making me think twice about my membership as I haven’t found a time that’s possible to use the slow lane without immense frustration yet Just joined here ! Wonderful polite reception staff and clean open environment :) lovely large pool great natural light everywhere Can’t wait to start using it :)

Fantastic experience: I swim here 3 times a week. No need to pay for a more expensive membership and fancier places. They have great facilities for a local centre. Swimming, gym, classes, tennis, squash etc I only pay for gym and swimming so a cheaper membership option.

Negative experience: I used to enjoy this place before lockdown but now it’s awful. There is new staff throughout the gym and the receptionists are awful rude and never pick up the phone you’ll ask a question and most reply with I don’t know. The membership is still the same price but you get less with it and the app is awful. The gym is always way to hot as the ac is always off or it just doesn’t circulate around at all. You have untrained members of staff acting like they are personal trainers when infact they aren’t qualified at all. The gym can’t afford to employ actual personal trainers like before lockdown so instead they just employ people with no experience to wear the personal trainer outfits. Don’t expect much from this place. I also lost an item here and asked if they could look and the woman at reception just rolled her eyes at me.

Negative experience: Great centre, awful service! I like to use the centre occasionally to play squash and play there as a non-member. I have considered using the centre more often and maybe even joining as I have a gym membership elsewhere but I find it incredibly annoying that no one ever answers the phone. Today I called in the morning and requested a ring back as I wanted to book another squash session. This afternoon I called several times as I got no return call after most of the day had passed so I drove down to the centre and called the phone only to see that the person behind the counter was on the computer and just continued to ignore the phone while I was dialling the phone. I did ask her why she didn't pick up the phone and she said she was busy writing an email. This is strange as I would have thought the email could wait if the phone was ringing. I explained that I had been calling for the last 20mins and had to drive down to the centre to make the booking. I received no apology just silence and then made my booking. This unfortunately seems to happen quite often at this place

Fantastic experience: Been using their gym and it is fantastic. Hardly you feel crowded in there. Most equipments are clean almost all the time. Great sauna and steam room with shower facilities. Very good.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible me and my dad just wanted to go for a swim and we were told we couldn’t because it’s adults only after 6:00pm. People really need to stop discriminating just because of my age.

Positive experience: Nice gym which has some great facilities, pool, tennis courts, squash courts spin room, gym .e.c.t. personally I would like to see a larger area for free weights, stretching and body weight exercises, if they could do this definite 5 stars

Negative experience: Their customer service is appalling. One of the pools was closed due to boiler problems, which is fine, but we weren't notified in any way, what's more, I have tried to call for over an hour and nobody answered the phone

Negative experience: Only joined last week but have since cancelled membership. Apart from the fact this centre is absolutely filthy swim changing rooms are rotten. The car park is to small and also shares with the school next door and the same with the cafeteria area. Full of school kids so when you cone out of a class there's no tables. This was not explained when I joined. There definitely is something to be said for joining a private health club.

Positive experience: The Swimming Pools & changing area could do with a complete over haul - women's changing rooms are generally grubby and there are never enough outdoor shoe protectors

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking! Broken equipment meaning that I couldn't attend a booked class, at least a dozen lockers that don't work, a booking system that allows people that aren't on the waiting list to leapfrog you when you're on the waiting list and, to top it all, a wifi system that wasnt working meaning that my partner who managed to attend the class that I couldn't due to broken equipment couldn't contact me to ask where I was waiting for her. And, for all of these so-called 'benefits' - I'm paying £50 / month!! All-in-all very poor and I cant see me staying much longer (only been a member for less than a month).

Positive experience: We go here for the pool, specifically the learner pool which our 18 month old loves. It's shallow enough that he can walk around most of the pool without any help and there's always lots of pool toys out for him to play with (balls, watering cans, floats ...) The pool temperature is warm so he can stay in there a decent amount of time comfortably. It is reasonably priced and cost us just under £12 for two adults and the baby. The only downside is that there are only three group change cubicles and only one of those has a baby change station as it was busy at the time we went so we had to wait around for the cubicle to become free which was inconvenient as it was after our swim and we were wet and getting chilly.
