Positive experience: Good facilities and sauna which is working again

Positive experience: Just joined the centre with my grandchildren. Positives gym great, enough machines. Could do with a few more tread mills. Swimming on Sunday, pool great clean, water warm enough. Family changing rooms well below a standard I would expect. Floors dirty, rubbish including nappy on floor. The changing cubicle smelt of urine. There was no toilet tissue in the toilets which were also dirty.

Positive experience: Went to play badminton after almost 10 years of no play. My youngest brother in law kindly booked a court, and me and my 2 sons were invited. I used to coach badminton to primary school kids back in the days - like almost 20 years ago and played socially. Seems like still had the touch - had a good run around and got few good backhands in there (and won all my matches ). Sons 10 and 7 seemed eager and quick to catch so will most likely try to book a court in Birmingham and train them up. The hall it self was ok - but a bit out dated it seemed, and you have to go through the whole swimming pool , changing room etc to get to the courts.

Fantastic experience: Taking my lesser able-bodied Son swimming to help strengthen his legs. A lovely place. Brilliant staff. I need help to get my son into the water, I now only have to raise my arm, they come straight to us. They call him by his name. They have helped him regain his confidence in the water.

Negative experience: Oxford City Council Taking a piss by employing some of these useless staff, the telephone number never answered, the direct debit never dealt fairly, the staff always confused, always on their mobile phones.

Positive experience: Great new gym, friendly atmosphere

Negative experience: Never answer the phone. Bad service.

Fantastic experience: Just been to the pool to book myself and my elderly disabled Mum in for a dip in the water. My Mum is pretty much house bound but I’m here this week from Wales and have persuaded her to go in the pool. Beverley on the desk was so helpful and caring, she wanted my Mum to have a good experience. Josh the lifeguard allayed my apprehension by showing me around and letting me take pictures of the hoist chair, the pool wheel chair and the disabled showers to show my Mum so as she would know what to expect when she got there. I am really grateful to both of them, we are looking forward to having a dip on Thursday.

Positive experience: Friendly place

Positive experience: Our Phones and wallet got stolen. Always bring a Padlock with you. Thieves lurk inside. Such a shame for such good facilities.

Positive experience: Family swimming session gets cancelled so often. There should be controls in place to assess the overall cancellation rate otherwise they can just cancel whenever. This is not fair for children. From 24th June-5th July during weekdays there used to be 6 sessions now only 1. Very disappointing!

Fantastic experience: since Jess became a manager, she has proven to be the best manager ever. She is extremely helpful, understanding, and cooperative with all of our issues. Fantastic experience: Very nice place, my kids have there their swimming lessons. Very friendly instructors. The only one thing that recently got worse is the changing room smells of urine from some time

Negative experience: OK when I went to use the hall today I was told that I can't due to religious reasons At this point I see people with pray mats which is fine but I don't get why the hall there is plenty of mosques in the are .I'm very unhappy that im catholic and then have to use a hall that they have blessed its ment to be for everyone and I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to go into there holly building and bless this with my religion This is a sports hall for sports not a building for this matter I will be cancelling anything too with this shambles of a sports facility .

Negative experience: Been here twice with two different receptionists and both were very rude. I mentioned I tried calling multiple times and there was no answer – was told they are busy (though called at different points throughout the day to ask about the day pass). Sauna not working as advertised and the pool lanes were very oversubscribed. I guess it’s a case of you get what you pay for though still disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Molly was helpful in reception she had patience and she went threw with the order for the 3G

Positive experience: A good quality basketball court. The system is down at the moment you cannot pay for it online.

Negative experience: We can't say the truth as it would appear racist, so better say what a lovely overly diverse place with an array of 50k plus cars and £500 cars demonstrating how all the demographs tesslat.

Fantastic experience: Several decent pools. One large pool as well as 2 smaller pools for babies/children. If you use the swimming pool then you do need to take a padlock or buy one there as the lockers require one

Positive experience: As a wheelchair user who carries two wheelchair users and a third person with disabilities, there is one huge issue with using this centre which is that you have to first park using your Blue Badge, get your wheelchairs off the Ricon lift, buy an additional ticket and then get your disabled people back to the car and place your ticket on the car. If like me you drive a Mercedes Sprinter for two wheelchairs but are also bound to your chair, that then means using your Ricon lift AGAIN to get back in the van. Our life is hard enough!

Positive experience: Good pool perfect for family would be nice to be warned that the lockers you need to bring your own padlock as we got caught out and had to spend £5 for one!

Negative experience: Terrible service the app is even worse The people at the front desk won’t even answer the phone calls they put you on hold because they are busy doing nothing!

Negative experience: Changing rooms and showers are disgusting. Lane swimming is always over subscribed making it very difficult to do lane swimming

Negative experience: Broken gym equipment. Hasn’t been fixed for months. I’ve complained and now sent an official complaint to the head office.

Negative experience: Awful place. You can only book not walk in and it's always booked when I try to take the kids. It's like the pool is just for the leys residents.

Positive experience: Bit hit and miss with good service. If previous court user overruns they eat into your time. No or unenthusiastic staff to get badminton nets set up after previous user. Nice courts

Negative experience: Used to love playing badminton here regularly with my friends, who all live in the area. They’ve now changed the prices so that it costs £5.40 per person to play 1 hour of badminton, PLUS £5 for the hire of the court. That’s over £25 for four people to play just ONE HOUR OF BADMINTON!?!? Disgusting and completely unjustified. We won’t be playing badminton here anymore which is such ashame as it was such a nice way for my friends and to exercise and socialise. This is supposed to be a good place for the local community and it’s just pricing less well off people of being able to do these activities. At a time when people need access to sport and social activities for mental and physical health kore than ever, this is such a backward step. Most of the staff are lovely.

Positive experience: Lights are always out in the pool area, open swims have been hard to book recently. The lockers you now need your own lock or pay £5 to get one

Negative experience: The staff do the best they can, and the pool temperature is warm especially when it's cold outside. My problem with the pool is the hygiene level, you can spot brown stains on the tiles everywhere, showing that they are not thoroughly cleaned. Most times you would smell urine across the corridor, If you can't swim, they have no one to teach you- funny this could be a source of additional income for people who are genuinely interested in learning to swim. A swim session only lasts 1 hr. I am personally unhappy with the no-photo rule across the property. The gym has a nice equipment and the background music is good. Why would a gym close by 4 pm on weekends, when most people are most available around that time? Now gym users are responsible for cleaning the equipment has only 1 cleaner does the whole building. I have tried many times to cancel my membership and the staff tell me the manager who can do it is never around. When you don't come, they don't care as long as you get debited all month they are fine. As someone in the customer care business. Fusion can do better with the management of this facility. It is so bad, I won't recommend it to my friends because there is nothing impressive about the centre. Management just does the bare minimum and for £30 a month for swimming and gym. It is not a good deal. Can't blame the staff cause most of the things we complain about are out of their control.

Fantastic experience: We went there to use the fun pool for our 6 months old baby which he is scare of the water, and he actually like it. No crying no fuss. Just think that would be cool to have changing rooms for families with babies.

Fantastic experience: Great pool for little ones of all ages, the baby pool has lots of fountains and water shoots to keep kids entertained and a very good price was very impressed.

Negative experience: My daughter attends weekly swimming lessons here. The changing rooms, showers and toilets are absolutely disgusting and not very hygienic at all. I have mentioned to the staff about how bad they are, just to be told 'it's because we only have 1 cleaner'. This week when we went there was such a strong smell of stale urine in the changing area ir was almost unbearable to be in there. Fusion really need to get on top of this as it's just not acceptable.

Fantastic experience: The best pool for children in Oxford. Both baby and learning pool have warm temperature.

Fantastic experience: Great place and prices really affordable. I wish they had more stricter (and enforced) rules about hygiene in the swimming area.

Negative experience: Disappointing. Not good enough for £38.50 a month Fusion membership subscription. 1) There are frequently too few lanes available to public swimmers due to clubs or classes taking up 5 lanes. This is not made clear on the ap when booking. 2) Showers vary between burning hot and cold. 3) Pool is unclean … brown scum along the inside rim of handrail inside the pool. 4) There is longstanding damage along the pool edge near main entry steps which could cause a nasty poolside fall or injury. Emails to Fusion politely highlighting these problems have been ignored hence posting here. The many staff including managers are approachable helpful polite and friendly. I suspect they are badly managed and supported from higher up. Fusion you need to pull your socks up and support this team.

Negative experience: Warning: do not use the food/drink vending machines here, they will take your money and not give you your items - staff cannot help you because they are privately owned, you have to call the company on the machine. Not great for the centre. Lights on poolside are out. For a fairly new facility it looks a little neglected in areas.

Fantastic experience: Helpful staff. Wish leisure centre users read the signs about NO OUTDOOR SHOES in the pool area PLEASE. And, whilst I'm giving feedback, if you have any kind of respect for the brilliant centre, don't leave your filth from outside shoes, shower before you get in as your chemicals taste horrible and there are bins everywhere for nappies. Love and respect is free. The management, life guards and all staff are absolutely BRILLIANT. NAMASTE

Negative experience: The pool itself is good. However you can't ever just turn up for session and it's hard to book in. It's also often closed due to short staffing. Staff are variably helpful. It seems a really good facility, run badly.

Positive experience: I recently started coming here for lane swimming. It's true - the sessions are unreliable and the schedule often changes last minute (due to a shortage of life guards). I book beforehand on the app and if the session is cancelled I receive a call from staff ahead of time. I have the ability to be flexible but I wouldn't recommend it if you want a reliable schedule. I have tried calling reception multiple times and no one has ever picked up - it's quite inconvenient if you just have a simple question to ask. In terms of the facilities - the pool is nice and the business of the lanes varies depending on the time of day. There are plenty of changing rooms with lockable doors and showers with locks too - there aren't many showers but I try and time when I leave the pool and haven't had to queue for a shower yet. There are plenty of free lockers but you need to bring a padlock with you if you want to be able to lock it. There are also free hairdryers. The changing rooms and showers could probably do with a refurb - but not enough to bother me. Yes, there is often hair near the shower drains - but as they are being used all day long I don't think this can be helped. The staff I have interacted with have all been very friendly.

Negative experience: Bad experience here - arrived early for my booked lane swim to wait in a queue of people confused about what was going on with two people behind the counter not really saying or doing anything to help anyone. Ended up getting into the actual pool area over 10 mins after our slot started (totalling about 20 mins wait in a queue of only about 6 people?!) Went to get changed only to realise that you need a padlock to secure your belongings in the lockers. Of course the booking didn't mention this and no padlocks available to rent or buy. Ended up sitting on the side with me and my friends belongings because we were too nervous to leave our stuff in an unlocked locker. As soon as my friend started swimming she was told off for swimming in a lane (which we had booked to use lol) Basically just the most disorganised and stressful experience - and all for 1 hour of a swim?!?!

Negative experience: The swimming pool itself is okay, but I booked 3 times and 2 times they canceled my class.

Negative experience: Once again went down for an early morning swim and the swimming session was canceled. This time because there wasn't a lifeguard available. This is the fourth time in the last five visits it has been shut or swimming session cancelled over the last two months. Very poor that Fusion have been offer this opportunity to provide a service to the community and can't manage to keep the facility running. When it is open it is expensive to swim.

Positive experience: It was 5 stars initially but I have to change that purely because no one ever answers the phone or comes back to you after you leave a voice message

Fantastic experience: Joined recently gym is great to use some very quiet times, lane swimming today everyone very friendly

Positive experience: The pool(s) are quite small and usually lack space, not helped by staff. Not much to do for a lesiure centre. But the pool was nice and there were plenty of floats and a small water-playground for the little ones!

Positive experience: Great pool but the provider, Fusion, have cancelled ALL the family swim times during the week due to a lack of lifeguards. How does the council expect kids to get in to sport and healthy activities if it allow this?

Negative experience: Tried calling to rearrange our use of the 3G pitch. Tried almost 50 times over the course of a week and not one call answered.

Positive experience: A great range of classes for everyone. Friendly staff and a good instructor for aqua aerobics.

Positive experience: Decent gym for a decent price. I never used the pool, but it has an excellent weights area. A few minor bits are missing, but it's not as busy as the big commercial gyms so I enjoyed it.

Fantastic experience: Took my 8 month old for a swim, really great pool with friendly and helpful staff.

Negative experience: 3 staff members at the front trying to do 1 persons job. Spent 15 minutes queuing only to be told swimming was 'sold out' 3 children and an adult in the pool.

Positive experience: Best Jujitsu club in Oxford and the surrounding area.

Fantastic experience: Amazing facilities everything well maintained and extremely clean. Timetable includes frequent slots for lane swimming. I don’t use the gym or attend classes but lots of variety for those who don’t want to use the pool. Staff always helpful and friendly. Only one concern parents accompanying their children for lessons go poolside and do not put on shoe covers. Staff never approach them to tell them. One parent walked through the shower area with trainers on this morning. Ugh. They need to be told at reception. Management need to ensure staff enforce the outdoor shoe rule rigorously.

Positive experience: Not only fun and enjoyable! It has a pool full of warm and relaxing bubbles which refresh your skin, there is also a gym which is quite pricy to get a membership for. For the kids, there is a small but fun play area with food to fill up you and your child.

Fantastic experience: I've been here for many competitions in the past, and I enjoy it with the walk on pool cover and the warmup pool, it's a good leisure centre.

Negative experience: Recently attended a Swimming Gala...too hot and no public wi fi ! Who do you blame ...poor Centre management or lack of Council funds ? No wi fi on the weekend of Cricket World Cup/Wimbledon/ British Grand Prix.....pathetic !! not really worthy of 2 stars....

Negative experience: As an elderly & disabled person cannot enter into the pool and there is no assistance. Lifegaurd yes who sits on a perch.There are hundreds of people unable to use this facility. Hydro therapy is no longer offered to self manage patients at the hospital after 30 years due to over demand of too many & no staff to oversee for health & safety . Hospital recommend we all go to local pools to do exercise to continue our treatment

Fantastic experience: This venue has an excellent 25m swimming pool and high quality changing and shower facilities. Even a sauna if you feel the need for one. I like it best first thing in the morning when the water seems slightly cooler. I recommend you check the time-table carefully and speak to staff to confirm as lanes open and close to public lane swimming regularly due to swimming lessons etc. taking place through out the day. Particularly important if you want to do a long uninterrupted swim as the floor of the pool is movable and everyone has to get out whilst it is moved for lessons etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. This venue is clean first thing in the morning and kept clean during the day, although as with any popular venue standards drop a little at peak times.

Negative experience: Lovely pool just not many general swimming sessions. Went there for a 4pm - 6:30pm session where the teaching pool and splash pool were open the main pool was closed for length (which only had about 5 people using the whole pool). Got there about 4:20pm to be told the pool was full and the next session was not till 5:30pm, need more general swimming sessions with all pools open.
