Positive experience: Great pool for adults and kids. Me and my family loves going there. But I hope they update facilities soon it’s getting so outdated

Negative experience: It's such a shame , used to be a lovely place to swim. The changing rooms on the poolside are filthy. Showers haven't worked for weeks. No communication or compensation for members.

Negative experience: Had the worst swimming experience this morning. Was told the entrance to the swim changing rooms was out of order so had to walk through the swimming pool to change. Noticed as soon as we got pool side that it was absolutely freezing in there, very odd as swimming pools are normally roasting! Went to get my Son changed, changing rooms are the filthiest I've seen. They look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. Really disgusting and unhygienic. Baby pool was so cold that after 20 minutes my son had blue lips and was shivering. We couldn't stay in there long enough to use the time we had paid for. Made me really angry. Thought we could warm him up with a shower but they were also cold. Complained to manager and was told the pool is always 30°. It's not. He clearly hasn't been anywhere near it. Also told me the changing rooms were that way because of high foot fall. We went at 10am and they open at 8am. There's no way they got that dirty in 2 hours. Didn't seem to care at all. Toilets and Cafe also really dirty. All stuff that can be easily be fixed if someone bothered to sort it out. Just a basic level of hygiene would be nice.

Fantastic experience: I was thinking to change my DL. membership to this facility (there are several reason like £175/month , broken sauna for 2 months and so an), but seeing so many bad review about this especially about sauna and changing room and still not knowing about the annual membership fee. Please somebody convince me this is better than David L. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool, changing rooms are pretty clean. Have not used any of the other amenities yet

Positive experience: It's ok as it's council run so provides access to sporting facilities but with limitations on budgets it does what it can.

Positive experience: Such a valued place for so many people. The staff, classes and facilities are generally very good. I just wish we'd reinvest more money into modernising it.

Fantastic experience: I go here for adult swimming lessons. I've tried belfairs and garons ( a few years ago now) but clements hall are the best... by far! Spin classes are good too... lots of bikes! Always clean, no horrible smells in the swimming changing rooms as there is sometimes at garons. Staff are all lovely. Never a problem to park.

Fantastic experience: Got a great pool. Also a kids pool there for families. Not very busy, it's ideal. Love going there for an evening swim. There's lots of other things to do there too. Classes, gym, spin, all sorts. It's a brilliant place.

Positive experience: The Centre unfortunately needs a lot of TLC and staff who know what they are doing and are actually willing to do it. Most of the reception staff never smile or even acknowledge your entry into the building. The showers and changing areas are never properly clean, and the jacuzzi has not been working since June 2023. There is always something out of order, which makes you wonder where all the money members and other customers pay goes. The idea for the abs class at the gym is great, but it means that if you are using their mat at that time, you need to get off in the middle of your exercises. Thank you so much, and a shout-out to Kiera in the coffee shop for being so polite, professional, and serving everyone with a smile. Even while working short-staffed, you delivered perfect service.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place, I go swimming and to the gym. Yes it could do with a make over but the front desk staff are lovely and work extremely hard. It does get very busy in the pool on a general swim but that's to be expected on school holidays. But I can still do a work out in the pool and go into the gym with no problem

Negative experience: No air conditioning in the main gym. No access to WiFi or signal there. No water fountains despite you pay 48 pounds a month. Showers and changing rooms are always filthy. They open at very limited time on the weekend.The gym is never managed so if you want to ask a question or there is any issues there is none to talk to. You make a complaint and you will never have an answer. Half of staff are beyond rude and when you ask a question they quickly dismiss you or give you a dirty look. This is a very low service for a sports center

Negative experience: Have not been here for quite a few years and despite how nice and modern it looks, the pleasantries end there. I came for the morning swim with my son. Upon arrival, the changing rooms were dirty and covered in talc. The pool itself was fine. After our hour, we used the showers if you can call them that. The water is a dribble and scalding hot. The button has to be held down to get a decent amount of water. We then thought we'd stop and have breakfast at the cafe. I say cafe, it only serves coffee apparently. After queuing for ten minutes. I was told they were low on food. So I asked what they did have as I was looking to order a cooked breakfast and a burger and chips kids meal. "We've got tea cakes and tuna, that's it" was the response from the lady behind the counter. How can you run a cafe with no food in it?! We swiftly left, making a mental note to bring a packed lunch should we decide to visit again. Not impressed and certainly not the leisure centre I remember.

Negative experience: paid for a swimming session for me and my son, but both of us where ill so didnt go, tried three times to call but couldnt get through and had to leave a voice mail. They Finally called back 3 hours later to say that cancellations have to be an hour before the start of session..... if you answered the phone maybe people could cancel in time.

Positive experience: Not enough light in Badminton court

Positive experience: Visited for childrens swimming gala. Certainly improved since my last visit. Cleaner and more professionally run.

Positive experience: Swimming pool showers dribble on your head, changing rooms are usually filthy. Gym is clean but lacks equipment and the rest of the facilities are fine. Cafe never has anything in stock and the staff are always missing.

Negative experience: Booked and PAID for a court!! They double booked and turned us around an evening wasted hour round trip and I might get a refund in 2 weeks, managers shocking with not the best attitude and the ditzy women on reception had no idea. How was this overlooked??

Fantastic experience: Great place with wonderful staff

Negative experience: Although we are members it is a disgrace. Filthy showers that are all broken and never see a cleaner. The cafe area is atrocious and beyond filthy. The sofa are nasty, scummy dirty and the floor not much better. Come on guys get cleaning and repair or replace the broken and dirty stuff.

Fantastic experience: Went here for my sons kung fu grading. It was lovely and clean easy to park no parking charges

Positive experience: Decent sports centre with good amenities. I visit to play badminton and the courts are well spaces in the sport halls (though the lighting is quite fierce which creates blind spots on some shots). The swimming pool is good, with a kids pool and reasonable prices for open swimming sessions. I have chlorine sensitivity and I don't have many issues swimming here (food grade vitamin C powder diluted into warm water makes an awesome swim spray for those suffering), so either they use other chemicals or they use less than other pools. The gym recently had a refurbishment and as gyms go was not too expensive (I am no longer a member however).

Negative experience: Swimming pool was so cold, toilets had no toilet roll, could do with a lick of paint.Needs some money spent on it.

Positive experience: Good facilities reasonable prices no atmosphere

Positive experience: Good field for a short walk with dogs, but beware of the area around the skateboard ramps as there's loads of broken glass and general rubbish around it.

Fantastic experience: Lovely local recently refurbished leisure centre which has lots of sports facilities and surrounded by a open space for outdoor activities!

Negative experience: Facilities are dated the swimming pool changing rooms and toilets are dirty and should be cleaned more regularly the staff on reception do not answer the phone and Management do not adhere to there only policies on returning calls or emails this also includes head office avoid joining you will be disappointed.

Positive experience: Great coffee at good price

Negative experience: Staff are nice , the gym is OK, the rest of the facilities are tired,dated and either dirty or broken ,ie sauna ,steam room or jacuzzi one of them is always broken, the changing rooms for the pool are disgusting

Fantastic experience: My step son plays football here every week on the 3G pitch and we’ve taken all of the kids here swimming in the past. Really helpful and lovely staff. My 3year old loves the cafe too which has a great selection

Positive experience: A nice cosy sports centre. We use the indoor courts and the swimming pool mostly. I think they're pretty standard, nothing special, but kept clean, which is quite important. The gym section is quite spacious and the selection of equipment is adequate. I haven't used any of the classes so can't comment. Overall, a place to return to.

Negative experience: Love it so much but today it was carry bad the lifeguard is so out, cause these boys were being really horrible in the pool. I was nothing to do with it. They picked people and they kicked everyone out. I’m not happy punc

Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre with many facilities inside and outside from pool, to squash courts, various studio activities and football and other courts outside. During the day centre is served by a decent cafe with acceptable prices. Free WiFi. Ample parking by although at peak times you may have to make use of overflow car park and a longer walk to the centre entrance. At least all parking areas are paved which not many other centres in the area can claim! As usual with such centres staff friendliness is entirely dependent upon which staff member you happen to encounter but in general I’ve found all of them to be helpful once you’ve initiated conversation.

Positive experience: Love going here with the family for a swim, but disappointed to see the jacuzzi still out of action....by the sign on the side, been that way for awhile could still use the steam and sauna rooms though

Negative experience: They didn’t serve food around lunch time after my swim and my child was wanting chips

Positive experience: Swimming pool changing rooms are pretty grim and need an overhaul but kids love the teaching pool as it's warm and they can stand up throughout the pool.

Fantastic experience: Good leasure centre. With gym, swimming pool and various classes. There is a membership if you want or you can pay per visit.

Negative experience: GYM FAR TOO BUSY AT PEAK TIMES. THEY NEED TO HAVE A LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF PEPLE ALLOWED IN AT ONE TIME

Positive experience: First time I have been to the centre. It was late so I only saw the main Sports Hall. Plenty of Parking.

Positive experience: Great facilities however only 4 stars as not enough people on reception. Had to queue at entrance as only 1 woman was there whilst on the phone dealing with another customer making a queue of people waited to be let in.

Fantastic experience: Wow what to say, great leisure Center, my favourite bit is the effort to be part of the community, they even help local scouting with swimming for campers and use of parking for Belchamps firework display each year. A++++

Negative experience: AVOID!!!Gym it self is nice but the staff at reception are more bothered about having a chat with friends than helping customers. No one ever answers the phone and the one occasion they did decide to answer they picked the phone up and put it straight back down! I suppose I will be taking my money and getting a membership at a gym with staff that wants custom instead of a social gathering. Used to be a great gym gone down hill massively! AVOID

Negative experience: Life guard all he did was talk to other staff member and did not do is job he was talking for over 45 min good job no one wanted any help, and he turn another life guard radio off as a joke and the lifeguard did not know he did this. Told the manager about this let hope he does something about it. Need to be retrain.

Negative experience: Filthy dirty changing rooms. Few evening classes and you can't get booked in.

Positive experience: Nothing fancy. If you're looking for a gym, I'd suggest joining Hockley gym or any other actual gym over this. The rest of the facilities are alright and plenty to do, certainly get your moneys worth.

Positive experience: Lovely swim, jacuzzi and sauna..... shame that the steam room is still not working.... someone said at least a couple of months it's been out of order.

Negative experience: I only have a pool membership but could be better for the price. Water cold, steam room hasn't worked for 2 months. Lane swimming is far too limited because of the number of lessons taking place. Usually only half the pool available and on a Wednesday, Thursday evening no Lane swimming at all because of lessons.

Fantastic experience: We went for a look around for my disabled son. The young trainer in the gym was very helpful. My son tried some of the equipment. Great start. We will sign up for a membership. Wheelchair accessible and disabled parking.

Positive experience: Swim was lovely, and sauna good, shower rooms need TLC

Negative experience: Same old story here. Lack of staff, NEVER answer the phone. Unable to swim with my son as the small pool was shut and the main pool was ‘lanes only’ despite checking website timetable. I was told I “should have checked their app”. Had the same problem with huge limitations on swimming a few years ago when I had the misfortune of being a member.

Positive experience: Very good value for money, swimming, sauna and steam all in. nice staff. The place is usually quite clean Down side showers are abysmal

Fantastic experience: Loads of activities to try, brand new gym equipment and a room full of great new spin bikes that are actually comfortable to ride ! Fab cafe, lovely coffee, with tasty fruit buns and butter for £1.50. You don't need to be a member to join any of the classes or try squash or badminton or table tennis. And the receptionists are really helpful, there are no stupid questions. You never know if you will like something until you try.

Fantastic experience: First class facilities. My archery club use they're ballistic Hall during the autumn months. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Good leisure centre with swimming pool. Son uses it for martial arts training. Coffee bar. Don't know about costs though.

Positive experience: Went for a swim thinking of joining. Fancied a coffee but cafe closed. So would have got a cold drink from the machine but that was out of order. Lots of staff walking about but no one seems to be working? Large queue at reception only one working. So could not wait to ask some questions. So won't bother

Fantastic experience: Great sports venue. We regularly play badminton and swim there then eat in the cafe after.

Negative experience: Good facilities and one of the only places left with a few squash courts. Unfortunately the reception staff are less than helpful and would rather chat to friends and each other than help the customers. Additionally, they have outsourced all of their vending machines, none of them work and the staff can do nothing about it or any issues that arise with them… there’s a number to call but their offices are permanently closed. A really shame, as it’s the basic stuff they fair at miserably.

Positive experience: Gym has had a good refurb. Friendly reception staff.

Negative experience: Pool was good (if a little on the cool side)and not busy. Booking and checking in were fairly stress free. However the showers in the mens changing room were poor. No shower heads, hardly enough water flow to wash shower gel off with. According to my partner this is not the case in the womens changing room. Maybe funding ran out when it came to the mens.

Negative experience: A branch that priorities non membership users to pre book badminton courts 3 months in advance. Extremely unfair to members at fusion. Gym is extremely small and the layout of equipment is a disaster. Customer service is always non available as there's no one to pick up the phone . Just a terrible branch at fusion

Negative experience: PROS: - Excellent Gym Space with plenty of equipment - Decent facilities and cafe - Open late during the week - Lots of variety/choice for classes CONS: - Closes at 4PM on weekends. This is not very accommodating for shift workers and quite poor to be honest. - Membership is £40 per month which is quite steep considering the early closing times. - Swimming Pool area is dated and could do with a refurb. - Steam room and Jacuzzi constantly broken.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with our experience today. Booked a family swim session and was asked to leave the main pool area after only 25 minutes as there wasn’t sufficient guarding and needed to prepare the pool for the next session… my 10 and 12 year olds were really impressed that they had to swim with toddlers in the teaching pool. Reception were not interested in listening to complaint and simply said that I had booked for the wrong session on the website. Maybe Fusion should be renamed Confusion as no-one took responsibility for the issue and everyone blamed the poor quality of the website

Negative experience: Kids pool is freezing cold. Been coming here 30 years, ever since we were small and it always used to be heated. In recent times however it’s been cold. Today kids didn’t last the full hour and had to get out after 30 minutes.

Negative experience: Such Rude staff! Could barely even look at me when I said I was here for a swimming gala. Maybe a hello or have a nice day truly awful customer service.

Negative experience: The smell was unbearable! Extremely strong smell of ammonia straight after reception, and as soon you get into the pool you get the smell on and off it was disgusting!!! I cut my finger in the shower, I did have to ask reception for a plaster as it wouldn't stop bleeding, but that was it not question on which shower did you cut it on so someone can go and look! Really disappointed in the state of the changing rooms and the smell I can't stress how awful this was. Will not be returning

Fantastic experience: Cheap. Easy to Park. Great staff. Good activity choice. Good canteen.

Negative experience: The app is useless and invariably I end up having to ring to book anything. But the phone is never answered and messages left hardly ever result in a return call. A lot of the classes are booked up, and so I feel that my monthly membership is not used to its full potential simply because it's impossible to actually book stuff.

Positive experience: Went to megabounce fun day. Toilets were dirty, dilapidated with insufficient toilet paper.

Negative experience: Shame to see the lack of funding this place has been given, haven't seen a change since I was a child. Sauna is always broken and showers don't work or smell like urine. Staff have even told me the cleaning budget got cut so the receptionists and gym staff have to clean. So much potential with the area it's in, just needs investment

Negative experience: Place has really gone down hill. Kids pool was dirty and the heating wasn’t turned on again. Shame as this place used to be good.

Positive experience: Nice sports centre, decent squash court facilities but even with full membership only get a limited number of courts to book per week before having to pay to book courts. Would benefit from an unlimited squash membership of some sort.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership and they have still taken payments but will not let me book anything. I then added money to my account but it never went in and they haven't refunded me. Disappointed with the service.

Negative experience: No working swimming showers for weeks, Loos out of order again, changing area sometimes unclean.

Negative experience: Went swimming with the kids. Rusty changing facilities, half the lockers broken. Number on our key didnt correspond with the locker, queue me trying every locker in the place to find ours!!! Smell of sewage everywhere. Cafe shut, despite signs everywhere saying it's open. Staff non-existent. No loo roll in the toilets. A general sh*t show. Shameful.
