Fantastic experience: Good place for refreshing

Fantastic experience: Great pool facility, very private, which was great because i hate being in my swim suit.

Negative experience: After all those years in the Hilton hotel people are still complaining about the swimming pool sauner and jacuzzi. Still the manager are saying they will be repairing the jacuzzi and it's never happened. The manager and the staff are two faced they be nice to the customers when it never complaints and when they customers complaining they be aggressive. Not a very nice service people there. We know its a big company doesn't mean the manager can get away with it. We need a new manager and teams. Please do something about it and I will be reporting to the head of Hilton hotel in London and in Texas.

Positive experience: They don't have changing rooms to use before using the pool. Otherwise, everything is fine

Positive experience: Good size pool,could be a bit warmer. Jacuzzi was Luke warm. Steam room was under renovation. So we only used the pool,Jacuzzi & sauna

Negative experience: Hilton Spa in Cardiff is a very filthy place, staff do not clean changing rooms, pool is unsafe, cold water and services are always out of order. If a customer complaints, the assistant manager of the Spa will intimidate you, threatens with membership cancellation and will lie , he fabricates serious allegations against you , he will acuse you of violence , all sort of lies to prove cancellation and shows a lot of arrogance, intimidation, unfounded power and will be very unpleasant person .

Positive experience: Ive given this a 3 star only because the receptionist was so nice and friendly and also helpful. This place needs a complete refurbish and clean ! The steam room smelt of dirty drains ,it was awful . The jacuzzi was out of order ,and the pool was cloudy and just looked dirty . The changing rooms are a health hazzard as they are so slippery i nearly broke my neck! Its very sad as i was going to buy a membership for this place .

Negative experience: Very poorly run it's a bit of a cheek to call it a health club. I reviewed cardiff hilton "health club" on separate occasions at different times morning/afternoon/evening. Each time there was something new to disappoint. Scruffy work men fixings god knows what lurking about not doing much work off-putting said one lady I spoke too. Next time no hot tub working but not told when I arrived. Last but not least. The steam room around 11:30am had a sewer oder pumping through the air smelt awful (lingering after I left) and very obvious no attempt to clean 1 square inch, noticeable debri. Still from last visit if you look around u will find decor falling peeling apart rusty lockers and vents broken hairdryers very strange men who did not speak English slapping each others chest and grunting in sauna apparently it was wrestling training safe to say I would 100 percent recommend not going here and trying LAGUNA HEALTH SPAR just on the other side of the road placed inside the park plaza Hotel believe me you will thank me later.

Positive experience: Please get a second peloton, also pls get hooks for the doors in the changing room toilets as it would be so handy.

Negative experience: The club it's self is amazing but some of the staff have no manners or any hint of respect obviously management failur,it's quite surprising you don't expect that from Hilton and I have certainly not experienced this in any other Hilton. But club gets 5 stars

Negative experience: I am gonna cancel my membership, as I had a very unpleasant experience there. I had a voucher to take a friend with me for a session, invited a friend, and when we were sitting in the hot tub one of the staff(bold head with beard) approached us and asked my friend to show his shorts and asked us if we paid or not. He was super rude and I was absolutely shocked with his behaviour towards my friend. I am gonna make a proper complaint about this, but don’t recommend this place with very unprofessional service.

Fantastic experience: Perfect place for workouts and a good swimming session. Memberships are relatable cheap for what you get. Sometimes gym might be busy so you won’t be able to use all the machines. But just avoid busy times and you’ll be fine. Swimming pool should be fine to use and quiet during working hours when everyone is at work

Positive experience: £15 day pass. Gym, pool, sauna, steam room. Ok for the price. But dirty bit rusty. Reminds you of that late 90s vibe. Staff v friendly. There is nothing else for such a small price in cardiff in terms of having both gym and sauna. £36 per month membership.

Positive experience: I revisited after some time away. Very enjoyable, looking a little tired, but still nice...and clean

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership here because it is certainly not worth the fee. The gym facilities are very limited and dated, many of which are in a poor state of repair. The locker room is very small and often dirty. Cleanliness checklists need to be implemented to insure rubbish is taken out of empty lockers. There was a pair of Calvin boxers in one locker for over a fortnight. The showers are grimy and need a good clean. One of the positives is the staff are always very friendly and helpful. Sadly there are other gyms in cardiff offering better facilities at the same price point. If there are improvements I would love to come back.

Fantastic experience: I particularly like the quality/price. You just get everything you need for your own activity with no class, for a very honest price.

Negative experience: I left my 11 and 12 year old children in the pool for five minutes to text my husband that we’re leaving soon and an extremely rude staff called Nicole approached me with an angry face and told me off for leaving my kids alone in the pool. She perhaps had a point but the level of rudeness and unprofessionalism shocked me and scared me. I’m certainly not going there again after this disgraceful manner.

Positive experience: The pool was freezing cold. Not sure if it’s because there was a problem or what but not the greatest experience. I was a bit worried about the lockers as they didn’t provide padlock or anything. The place is a bit small and if there are a lot of people you can’t enjoy much.

Positive experience: All things considered, this is one of the best health clubs in Cardiff and probably the best value. It doesn’t have that feel of luxury, one may expect from a spa, due to neglected maintenance. Not huge things but little things do matter eg water fountain in female changing room has not worked for a couple of years, shower doors don’t lock or even close properly, there are only a few loungers which are always reserved with towels, this selfish behaviour is never challenged etc. It is such a shame because it wouldn’t take too much to make it lovely. Quite sad really!

Fantastic experience: I have recently joined this health club and have been impressed so far. I really enjoy the warm friendly atmosphere, the staff are efficient and keen to help. The facilities are spotlessly clean and well maintained with a decent sized swimming pool. I’m enjoying my visits and so glad I chose this club in the centre of Cardiff.

Positive experience: 3 stars a best super small, equipment practically on top of each other. Rude service and it's not like it was all that clean either. Third star was just for having a hot tub.

Fantastic experience: I love it.. Small gym with sauna, spa, steam room, jacuzzi and pool for a reasonable price.. I really like the setting and it compliments the need for the hotel guests and members as well.. Open long hours from 6am till 10pm weeks and weekends from 7am till 9pm.. Ample time to go and relax and use the facilities and feel pampered..

Negative experience: Used to be clean, now it has mold in the changing rooms, rust in areas, dusty and dirty, with broken showers, jacuzzi often out of service. Hilton used to take pride in this feature, now its gone to the dogs, perhaps charging too much has left them with fewer customers. Not first class by a long shot.

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership here. The place is often dirty - dust on lights, showers dirty. The locker room lockers hardly work and most of the doors are falling off. Shower doors are often missing. I used to go swimming around 8 pm and witnessed staff dunking a bucket into the pool in order to wash down the area around the pool - absolutely disgusting especially when your actually in the pool! The gym is small but ok, and the pool is nice enough. Overall for a Hilton hotel it does not meet the standards you would expect.

Positive experience: Gym not the largest but good facilities and spa is nice

Fantastic experience: All you'd expect from a hotel gym. Modest gym, but will cover all major muscle groups with a combination of the machines and free weights available. Plenty of treadmills available, however, for taller people like myself the low ceiling prevents some exercise routines. It's not cheap either, at £33p/m (towel included), it is twice the price of easy gym if you are a student. However, the pool, sauna and jacuzzi after a hard gym session more than makes up for the cost. It is only really busy during peak hours (5-6pm roughly) and is convenient to go to at any time during the day.
