Negative experience: I have never see sth like this. I am a traveller and wanted to buy a day pass (for 3 days) I have to buy it online. Requirement = an English Bank account. WOW. what about foreign travellers that want to use th Gym? Not intent? Not wanted? I am super disappointed. Talked to the Manager - he was not willing to help in any way. Super disappointing. I just check your website. You can buy a day pass via CC or GPay. Your employees do either not know or dont want people in with day passes

Monthly paying members are the only memberships that require a UK bank account as payments are taken via direct debit. For day passes and fixed term memberships you can make payment via any card. Fantastic experience: Will & the team are going a great job. I constantly see them on hand to reassure members there is available help as well as the tidiness of the gym as increased dramatically since the new management has taken over.

Fantastic experience: I had an intro session and have now started a course of personal training sessions with Indya. She is passionate and knowledgeable about strength training particularly for women and I’ve found her approach very encouraging and motivating.

Fantastic experience: Ive been going to this gym for about 3 years now and its never disappointed. The personal trainers are all so lovely and make you feel so so comfortable (especially Indya! she’s the best).absolutely nothing bad to say about this place.its perfect for both beginners and advanced level gym goers!

Positive experience: Is an ok gym. Losing two points because there is inadequate air conditioning at the treadmills and there is an unreasonable and rude staff member who interrupts people running to make them put their overgarments in a locker.
Hi Jack, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based on size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes. Fantastic experience: The gym is perfectly fine. Slight safety concern with the squat racks not having safety’s and positioning of them being in the middle rather than on the side by the wall. If you’re careful, the gym otherwise has everything you need.

Negative experience: This gym lacks equipment. And they do not get anything new. Also, I've noticed one of the gym managers (I think his name is Will) giving out free drinks in exchange for 5 star reviews on Google.

Negative experience: Don't believe half the good reviews. I keep seeing one of the gym managers (Will), asking people to leave 5 star reviews online. Once they do, he hands them a free drink. The gym lacks enough equipment and the staff turnover is poor. Go to another gym!

Negative experience: Not enough equipment at all despite asking for it numerous times

Fantastic experience: This used to be my old gym many years ago, when it was Soho Gym, long before PureGym took charge. I loved it then, and still love it here now... except for the removal of the steam room and the new layout and with a few additional new workout spaces. It still feels like my old home gym. Highly recommended.....5GStar

Negative experience: The gym is nice but if you want to go any time from 5:30 - 9 pm it is horrifically crowded, to the extent that sometimes it can be impossible to even get on a treadmill

Fantastic experience: I have been using this gym for a few weeks now, before work and in lunch breaks and I am very satisfied with the experience. Positive experience: Its an average, nice and cheap gym. Enough said. (although the changing room smells of fish for some reason...who's been slow cooking their fish there is the real question?)
Positive experience: PureGym Borough is an excellent fitness center! The facility is clean and well-maintained, with a wide variety of equipment that caters to all workout styles. Whether you're into cardio, strength training, or classes, there's something for everyone. The staff is friendly and always willing to help, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both beginners and experienced gym-goers. Negative experience: Yes, it's very pure. But full of people. There is no chance to make yours exercise continually...
Negative experience: Oh dear, not a good start. First time visit to a PureGym, and had booked myself in for an induction session. When I got into the gym, there was no-one to ask where I needed to go for the booked class. Wasted 10 Minutes trying to find a member of staff. Eventually one of the other gym-goers took pity on me and showed me around the gym and equipment. Left without having done the class, because I couldn't find it. Slightly regret joining now.

Positive experience: Good. Wide range of machines & free weights. No advice about circuits or training programmes to focus on muscle groups. I ended up using all the lower body or upper body machines on alternate days, assuming they are there for a purpose. Borough was often quite busy which encourages ppl to hog machines between sets. I like that puregyms are all over the place which was convenient. I used Borough & Hammersmith.

Negative experience: The PureGym chain is known to be a cheaper option for gym goers, so you have to be somewhat realistic about what you pay for vs what you get. It’s a small gym with a decent variety of machines which is about all that’s great. It’s also clearly just a cash cow for PureGym with how many people they allow to subscribe to this location. It’s packed year round, and you’re only guaranteed a workout not half spent waiting for machines if you go at seriously off peak hours. The January to March period is absolute mayhem with people packed in to the brim. It’s a nightmare to try to fit a decent workout in under an hour with how much waiting you have to do. If you can afford to go to a more expensive gym that is adequately equipped for their customer numbers, do it. You’ll save yourself so much time and frustration.

Fantastic experience: I have been member for the last two years. The gym is great and it is close to my place. I love training in the morning before the office. Showers are great and the environment is very friendly. My fav classes are 7am body pump and body tone classes. Fantastic!

Positive experience: I have been a regular member here since last two years. In the last 4-5 months the quality of classes has really gotten worse. The trainers frequently don't show up for the classes and then the classes are cancelled last minute. Also, the weight section is always full to use in the evenings

Positive experience: The gym itself is great. Busy in peak times but that is to be expected. However, the women's showers are absolutely disgusting. Shower curtains yellow, flies in the drain, and look like they haven't been cleaned in a long time.

Negative experience: Just cancelled my membership here after several years. A refurb earlier in the year has drastically reduced the useful amount of machines. Before several chest options but now only two. Same for back. For health reasons I can’t use the free weights and more and more people are now pushed into the few machine left (except for legs. So many machines for legs!). And yet there’s empty space they could fit some more in. This is no longer adequate for my purposes. Shame as the space and location is good.

Positive experience: Since I joined the gym over a year ago, I have noticed improvements in the quality of the gym classes after a few ups and downs. The new trainers have brought about a noticeable positive change, and I hope they will continue to be a part of the team. However, I still have a couple of concerns. Firstly, the cancellation policy seems a bit strict. A 4-hour window for cancellation can be challenging, especially when unexpected circumstances arise. I kindly request that the management reconsider this policy to make it more flexible for members. Secondly, I have noticed that the restroom facilities could use some updating. For example, there is only one soap dispenser available, which can lead to congestion during peak hours. Additionally, the hand dryers are not optimally positioned, with one being ineffective and the other being in an inconvenient location. I believe that addressing these issues would enhance the overall experience for gym members. I appreciate the efforts made in continuously improving the gym facilities and services.

Fantastic experience: My 1st visit to the gym, and although it's not the biggest of gyms, it does have enough equipment to find something to use for your workout if your favourite machine is unavailable. Will defo be back and with a more structured routine for myself.

Negative experience: Pros; near a tube station, always clean, good air con & added amenities. Cons; Very oversubscribed gym. Would try and go in the hours of 6am-8am if you want to use bench's, free weights, cable machines & pulldown/pull-up bars. Very very busy between 11pm-2pm and even busier from 5pm to when it closes (which is only 10pm). Also shuts at 8pm on Sunday's. Would be a great gym if you are able to go outside of these hours, but something to consider if you are working in the area.

Negative experience: No hot water in the female showers for over two months. Plus, the changing rooms are not regularly cleaned. Hot water for showers should be a standard not a luxury, especially given the cost of the membership.

Negative experience: Tgere is machines to train the back (lats) rowing and lat pull down ,, super small gym . Only because it doesn’t have the machines to train your back that means its not a GYM . You are paying to train all of your muscles.

Negative experience: The gym size is decent and it's not too crowded except the machine area. However, the female changing room's shower area is filthy with tons of midges. Do they even clean it every day? I have no idea

Negative experience: Way too busy!! Prices are way higher than every other pure gym (my colleague pays £14.99 a month!) and aren’t advertised as such until midway through signing up . Isn’t 24 hour even though it says it is All over the internet. Doesn’t allow me to use perks or ‘bolt ons’(bringing a guest four times a month ect) which I originally paid for unless I pay and extra £9 a month taking it up to £45. Not paying for another month here. My referrals also did nothing.

Fantastic experience: Great value local gym with good exercise equipment
Fantastic experience: A very friendly gym with all the weight and cardio options you would ever need. Both a spin studio and additional area for classes which are frequently held with great instructors. Use the induction classes to get to know some of the personal trainers. We found them really helpful and friendly.

Negative experience: Needs to be cleaned

Negative experience: Both, the manager and assistant manager keep bringing 2 girls to the office (from the way the interact with each other I assume their girlfriends), often they pull the blinds down when inside. This cannot be right… so unprofessional. I’ve noticed this quite a few times, and I’ve seen on Trustpilot that I’m not the only one seeing this. Also, I saw these ladies use the computer in the office. I’m sure there’s lots of private & confidential info, so this should be against their policies to do that, even if they’re girlfriends that they trust, this is wrong.

Positive experience: Not convinced about these1-3 stats TBH I can say that with ,(Waterloo) pure gym 39 pounds for a standard membership compared to this one this is cheaper . Equipment new, music in all gym are funny but just pop in head phones ... P.T are polite never had a issue with them, you show any person in the gym with respect / professional attitude with politeness. You get the same back. There no place to lock up your bike where you can see it is and it's not 24h either I cycle so it a one less start for me, busy place to be after 3-4pm before or after is best

Negative experience: This is the worse pure gym I’ve been to. I had an uncomfortable experience here. I was excused of being a personal trainer because my friend asked me for help and I helped her. The management also said to me they were watching us in the cameras for the past hour. Strange behaviour for such a big gym. I would not recommend this gym as a woman. I contacted both HR and management and nothing came from it. The flooring beside the squat racks is also a mess. Deadlifting on unbalanced ground was not fun. Tones of better gyms around the local area with more welcoming staff and management.

Negative experience: Overcrowded gym with no ‘quiet time’ - Machines require maintenance - Layout is awkward - Upgraded my membership to be able to use this location & I’m essentially paying more for a downgraded gym - Wouldn’t recommend

Fantastic experience: Clean, tidy and well equipped. The manager clearly takes pride in the place - i regularly see him tidying up equipment and even picking up litter outside. Would recommend.
