Negative experience: This gym permanently closed without any official announcement and has yet to refund me and many others for the month of January. If you are also waiting on a response or refund, please get in contact with me as the authorities have been alerted.
Negative experience: **THIS GYM IS FRAUDULENT** I signed up to this gym, excited at the prospect of an all women's gym in my local area. However the staff was very rude to me and made me too anxious to ever go back. Subsequently, I tried cancelling my membership in July over email as instructed over the phone. I was told my membership would be terminated with a fee of one month. My last payment should have been 1st August 2022. However, it js now November, and I was being charged EVERY MONTH SINCE! I was told over the phone that my details are deleted from their system as soon as I have paid my cancellation fee. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. I have been in contact with the owner several times, who said I was part of a contract, and so I could not cancel my membership early. This was not said when I initially quit in July. He apologised and promised that October was my last payment. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. I am still getting charged. I know several people who are also getting continuously charged, and the staff themselves are aware of the fraudulent nature of this toxic business. THE WORST GYM EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD, IN TERMS OF GYM AND ADMIN.
Nafisa you have received a refund from us for the monies that were taken by mistake. Noone too your money by fraudulent means, ... You are NOT getting charged at all You were in a 12 month contract that you signed of your own free will in October 2021. You NEVER bought to my attention that staff had been rude to you-When we spoke you said you had not been back becuase of Covid. How can you expect any business owner to deal with an issue such as staff rudeness if you do not let them know it has taken place When we spoke I was clear and concise-The memebrship was cancelled with immediate effect once the appropriate monies that were due under the contract YOU SIGNED, were collected. The business is not toxic and is not in the business of taking peoples money - what it is fed up of is people who sign a contract and then think becuase it is a gym contract that they can just walk away which is what you were attempting to do. The falsehood of your allegations againssta staff just demonstrates this- You did actually come back into the gym, moaning that you had to book- we do operate a bookign system which we tell all new members- it is quite simple jsut let us know by phone or email if you are coming in- even if just 15 minutes notice not an issue, Your attitutude when you came back in was the confrontational one,, I was in the gym when you came in out of sight in the backgroundin the office so could hear everything and see what as going on. If we make mistakes we put it right but I will not tolerate / put up with people making things up and blaming the gym when clearly all it was was you trying to extract yourself from the contract you signed knowing full well that you still had a number of payments to make . Also I have also looked into who signed you up and did your induction- the lady in question was probably one of the most liked, best gym intiructors the gym has had in 10 years so I know she would not have made you feel "anxious" Your feelings as you admitted were born from the Covid situation -not the staff ....
Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM!!!!!!!!! FRAUD!!! I signed up for this gym on a monthly student membership. After being unsatisfied with the whole place I decided to cancel my membership back in May 2022. Subsequently, I was charged a leaving fee of one month, meaning my last payment was due on the 1st of June 2022. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!!!!! I HAVE BEEN CHARGED EVERY SINGLE MONTH SINCE!!!! I have called and spoken to the owner multiple times over the course of this year who continuously reassured me that my membership was cancelled and any money I was owed would be refunded. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED!! I am also aware that I am not the only person this has happened to, and the staff are also aware of this. I know people who are owed upwards of £300 which is increasing every month!! Long story short, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM unless you wish to pay for a membership for the rest of your life!!
Ok so lets get one thing correct here shall we- this is a lady who caused no end of confusion by not providing her correct name so yes sstaff were responding to what they thought was the right person/ account - but was not eh case- your contract was cancelled and monies dealet with accordingly . WE ARE NOT AWARE OF ANYBODY THAT IS OWED THAT KIND OF MONEY- AS THAT WOULD BE A WHOLE YEARS MEMEBRSHIP which would be utterley silly and stupid- Please- if you think it is Fraud then take the appropraite action realted to fraud. It really is amazing that as soon as someone doesnt get their own way with issues they slag the business off- we have had issues in the pasts few months with refund issues caused by factors outside of our direct control but all of that has been dealt with and systems in place to deal with any issues arising. We have , like every business, certain procedures that we aks people to follow in cancellation / freezing memebrships and you decided not to follow the procedure
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dynamic Fitness Gym. The staff are all amazing, very professional, supportive and knowledgable with strategies helping you achieve your individual goals. The gym premises has a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. It is very spacious with a huge choice of equipment. I have recently started the fitness classes, which are great fun. I am already starting to feel fitter, stronger and healthier.

Negative experience: The gym atmosphere and the staff I spoke to were lovely but I was grossly overcharged a year after they confirmed that I had cancelled my membership. I tried to alert them several times to this issue. The money has so far only partially been returned after half a year of me reminding them of the offense.
Hi Juni, We can only apologise- a mistake was made in the original cancellation, and yes the whole thing could have been dealt with in a more proffessional manner and payment expadited to you. Fantastic experience: I have been a regular at the ladies gym since the last 5 years or more, the management changed during pandemic and on return to the gym now being managed by Mike I was impressed by the new changes made to bring gym more in sync with the current times. The gym got a makeover and new machines and exercise space were added. Staff is always on hand and there to provide any help required. The class timings have been adjusted to suit the needs of most gym users. Would definitely recommend to ladies of Canterbury to join.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Gym has a huge array of equipment and free weights, and is very clean. I have been to many gyms over the last 25 years, across a few locations, and Dynamic Fitness has to be my favourite. Much more friendly atmosphere and receptive staff.

Fantastic experience: I was a bit nervous about joining the gym especially after lockdown but I have not seen a cleaner place. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. I was given a program that a trainer went through with me and a few things I forgot but they keep going through it with me. I did my first class this week and can’t wait to try more.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member quite a few years and always found the staff and members very friendly and great to be with. Great support with all fitness aspects. My recent experience was above and beyond when Abbi (instructor) tailormade a HIIT session, so, many thanks for that Abbi. Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve ever be to! All the staff are lovely and welcoming and supportive, and the student membership has been really reasonable for the gym and classes! The gym has been super supportive during the lockdown and I cannot wait to go back when we are allowed :).

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym with knowledgeable, dedicated staff who go above and beyond to help you reach your goals. The classes are fun and work you hard in a social atmosphere and staff give you great workout plans specific to your needs. I'm not the easiest person to train because of some health problems but I've got an incredible programme from Charlie that helps me push myself bit by bit leading to some great progress and improvements. Can't recommend enough!

Negative experience: DON'T GO TO THIS GYM some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced, staff are rude and unhelpful. when signing the student contract I was lead to believe they would be flexible and I wouldn't have to pay when term times were over however I was still charged. When I questioned, staff were rude and said they couldn't help, I have now been over charged and am unable to cancel my membership

Negative experience: This gym has awful customer service. I do not recommend this gym to any student living in Canterbury because I, as a student, did not feel prioritised and listened to when I had a problem with my contract and payments. The staff are very rude, even on the phone they seem like you are taking up their time, despite the fact that this gym is always empty!

Fantastic experience: Still enjoying Dynamic Fitness in Canterbury. All very fresh and new after lockdown with new equipment, new floors, spin bikes and new weights. Just started personal fitness with Charlotte as felt I needed help in knowing how to use all of the vast equipment that they have here. It has been so exciting as Charlotte has designed a specific programme for me and I can follow them later on my own as she has written up sets for me so I won’t forget. I am being challenged but Charlotte is very professional and I have a varied workout each time. She is also super friendly and fun and encourages me constantly. Of course not to forget Abbie and the rest of the team who are brilliant. In fact I am so impressed, I am signing up for another 6 sessions. Thank you Charlotte and Dynamic Fitness, I feel truly lucky to have this great gym and great people on my doorstep. Previous review: Having just moved into the area I was looking for a local gym and I know there are many in Canterbury. After having reviewed most of them I was immediately impressed with this first class gym. Great equipment, classes and most importantly the people who are friendly and helpful. Great to have encouragement with a specific programme for what suits you personally. To come and go as you please and feel welcomed. Would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place.

Fantastic experience: I've had a lovely experience at this gym. The staff is really friendly and made me feel a part of a community. Whenever I would not be able to make it to the gym at my normal times, the staff always let me know I was missed. Lovely people and very knowledgeable. I loved that I was able to explore the gym and grow my fitness confidence without feeling judged by staff or other members. I loved that I had the freedom to use every part of the gym and there is a good variety of gym equipment. Only thing is that I wish they did different types of memberships like 3, 6 and 9 months for people without the ability to commit to a year.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Ladies of Leisure for 4 years. It may not be the most high tech gym in Canterbury in terms of flashy equipment but it's a safe and friendly place to work out, where I never feel judged by staff or fellow gym goers. Classes are varied and as challenging as you want them to be . Staff are helpful and knowledgeable and very supportive. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Interesting to see one star reviews from men for a ladies' gym!
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym - besides the wide range of machines and free-weights, the staff really go above and beyond. All staff are so friendly and invested in your journey; included in the very reasonable monthly price is something very similar to having a personal trainer. Your fitness and strength is reviewed and you will subsequently be given a personalised exercise plan (which will also be reviewed every few weeks), advice on meal planning and constant support from the staff. The gym itself is lovely and well equipped (featuring a sauna and infra-red sauna too!) but what really stands out is the customer service and willingness to support your personal journey, I never expected all of this extra help when i first joined!

All the equipment you need is there, classes were great fun and challenging and the staff members were super friendly and approachable and were always there to help with anything. Honestly, if you are looking for a student friendly affordable gym with great equipment and fantastic customer service, this would be the gym for you!! I've been a member here for two years now and really see the staff members as family, everyone is so supportive and helps you motivate you to reach your goal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Fantastic experience: I have attended this gym for over year and feel like a member of a gym family! my attitude and efforts towards fitness have improved so much. Negative experience: As a student, I was told I could freeze my membership during summer holiday. I gave them all the documents they required but they still refused to freeze it asking for more documents even though two of my friends did stop their memberships providing the same documents. The staff was not helpful at all. I am still paying them money as I was unable to freeze my membership. Avoid this gym!!
Negative experience: Worst gym to deal with anything and the customer service I received from the manager was awful, I made a phone call and got told that she was busy with other people and couldn’t deal with me on the phone, she then hung up the phone and I continued to call back 7 times and left several messages with no call back as she point blank refused to serve me. I called up wanting to quit the gym as I was moving out of the area, they told me that I had to write eveything in writing to KS Leisure? The finance company, when I researched the finance company, there was no contact number and no email? Strange for this day and age first of all. I then had realized they had been over charging me all this time and when I quit I asked for a refund and they told me they were not able to do that and I had to write a letter to the finance company again, which I did, only to receive a letter stating I am legally wrong and that the club has been very fair to me in dealing with me. I never knew it would be so hard and so much hassle to quit a gym due to moving 2 hours away ? Avoid avoid avoid

Negative experience: Before I signed a contract with this gym, they assured me that I could freeze my account in the summer. I've payed monthly for almost a year & have decided to go on summer holiday as I am a uni student in the area. I called in to freeze my account & an employee let me know it was done. However I had to show up a month later, after they took money out of my account again. The manager told me they had the right to do this because I gave my membership to a friend to use twice. This was months ago & I was not aware of the rules. However, the manager was quite rude over the phone & as a customer who has been paying for so long I at least expect to be treated with some respect. As of now, they have not agreed to unfreeze my account & are using the incident as an excuse to continue taking money out of my account. Apparently it was only a "bonus" which could be taken away from me at any point. In my opinion this is almost unethical as this was the main selling point of the contract. They also told me to put my concerns in writing but have yet to address my complaints. I don't recommend them at all.

Negative experience: Called up and wanted to speak to someone about signing up and to find out what they offer, were there any specials at that time etc. The girl I spoke to was totally incompetent and useless. Good lord, it's called trying to sign up to a gym, it's not rocket science, so how about some basic customer service and competency. I definitely won't be bothering with Ladies of Leasure ever again.
