Positive experience: Decent gym, pool, steamroom and sauna. Some classes but very limited.

Positive experience: Upgraded gym facilities are very good. Studio Cycling (Spinning) groups are friendly and cater for all levels.

Negative experience: My family and I do think there are good aspects of this center, however, we continue to be dissapointed by the imposed dress standards. Women wearing bras and see through pants, which is totally lacking in class. I have seen similar complaints on other reviews here, so I know I am not alone in this concern. I also noticed that the business defends these standards by claiming it's "freedom of expression" - but it's actually quite the opposite. When we reveal all, we degrade ourselves and others by limiting imigination and returning to more animalistic standards. Is nothing sacred anymore. Let's have some courage and move this country back in the right direction.

Positive experience: I like this facility overral. I have the gym package membership and although the space is small, it has everything you need to get the job done. Because the equipment is slightly limited it's interesting to see people, myself included, get creative on the use of machinery to target particular areas. My only concern is that the young adults who frequent the space may need a gym etiquette refresher. For example, one young adult wore open toe sandals in the free weight area, which is a safety issue. I reported it to a member of staff who seemed concerned, but ultimately didn't take any action. I am not sure if the staff member was afraid to say something. Frequently, the young adults also workout in groups of 3, 4, sometimes 5+, and this causes any particular piece of equipment to be occupied for an extensive period of time. I know it may sound silly, but I often wonder if since the pool has "adult time" why shouldn't the gym also. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but during peak hours when the gym is already exceeding fire safety max capacity standards you end up waiting excessively long times to get access to equipment. I don't know what the gym attire policy is, but I've seen many men is sleeveless shirts and women in sports bras as the only clothing above the waist, and I feel this is a bit too revealing and lacks a bit of class. My final "complaint" is price. I pay £20 (half the cost of here) for a gym membership near my office in London which is quite easily 3 times the size of this center, with more amenities and longer operating hours. In any case, my overral experience here has been great and the staff are always polite and friendly and professional. Lymington is growing, options for fitness are expanding, other fitness businesses are moving in, and I'd hate to see this place go under. I am 100% in support of this facility being successful if they can take the members feedback serious and implement changes. Wishing them all the best.

Positive experience: Hardly any time for baby pool and mostly only super late public swims for family.

Positive experience: The site has had some major upgrades. Could do with a bit more cleaning in places. But generally very good. Lots of different classes, gym, sports hall.

Negative experience: Evening shift receptionist is rude and discriminates against Asians

Positive experience: Good Swimming Pool. Clean changing rooms. They have children specific sessions with floats and other toys to play with. I do find the water and swim area a touch cold.

Fantastic experience: Nice and well equipped facilities

Negative experience: I used to enjoy swimming in Lymington pool but unfortunately today some people felt like 2nd sort. It was supposed to begin a public swimming session but a coach said we couldn't swim lanes because 2 people (a little girl and a woman) were going to use those 2 lanes (one for each). But due app private lessons were scheduled after public session. When people asked why they were not notified of the changes on the app or any other way, the coach just shrugged her shoulders. True, half an hour later they pulled another lane line, but it didn't matter because the mood was ruined. Lymington sport and leasure centre declare themselves as non-commercial public centre. But today it was clearly demonstrated that some people were spoiled and treated on the top of others. Was it because they paid more than others?

Positive experience: Decent size gym with good weight machines for beginners. The free weights section could do with another squat rack and more bars for the weights. Reception staff are very welcoming with excellent customer service. The only draw back is it gets very busy between 3 and 6 as you get all the school kids crowd in there so it's best to go around lunchtime or very late evening. 7.5/10

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place to swim. Pool is always clean and the temperature is perfect if you like swimming laps. Staff are very friendly. I go here all the time when I'm on holidays. Only disappointing thing nos is the sauna and steam room times. Very limited times which isn't great.

Positive experience: It's a decent sized pool with a good family pool alongside. Great for a swim.

Positive experience: All geared up for Covid. You have to do your booking through the New Forest Health and Leisure App. The gym equipment has been split across three rooms so there is plenty of space. Plenty of bottles of cleaning spray throughout the gym. There is a quarter an hour break between sessions so that staff can give it an additional clean. Gym sessions are now limited to an hour. Can't comment on classes and swimming as do not use those facilities. UPDATE FEB 2022. I forgot I had written the previous - all back to normal now - no booking of gym required, equipment all in one room again, stay as long as you like.

Positive experience: Nice atmosphere, good staff.

Negative experience: Frustrating to find pool closed early on several occasions 'due to staff shortages' without any warning on the website.

Fantastic experience: Prefer Lymington others that I know in the group. Good range of equipment and it's open early, 6.00am.

Negative experience: We've had to look for alternative swimming lessons for my son as they cancelled his saturday lessons due to shortness of staff.

Positive experience: Lovely staff and excellent facilities. Only reason it's not a 5 star is because the discounted monthly membership can only be 'paused' once or twice a year. I'm out of the country a lot so end up paying for several weeks when I'm unable to attend. PLEASE let me buy in advance a number of sessions I can use whenever I want. I'd happily pay up front for 100... Otherwise awesome :-)

Fantastic experience: Always found the staff friendly and smiley - even when there is a big queue waiting. Excellent teachers and choice of classes, and the place clean and well cared for. Only complaint is parking facilities being a bit tricky.

Fantastic experience: We visited the swimming facility in this leisure centre on 8th October, a rather wet and miserable day. We had a superb time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the changing area very well thought out, with family changing rooms available. The learner pool was beautifully warm and my 4 year old granddaughter loved going underwater with Dad while the two-year old happily splashed around with mum; float aids were freely available. The adult pool was well organised into zones and the temperature was just right for purposeful swimming. The toilets were very clean and the showers warm. For three adults and one senior, the cost for the morning was a mere £1500; the children were free. There was no limit to the time we could stay and we were in the pool almost 2 hours. Local Authorities seem to be the butt of criticism but I have to say that this experience was very enjoyable and excellent value for money. Well done!

Negative experience: Staff unhelpful and impolite. Suggest finding another gym. Not worth the cost for such appalling service.
