Fantastic experience: Really nice & clean Swimming Pool. I recommend this place, for families with kids to enjoy swimming & have fun

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff. Very clean. Although we only swam on a weekday at 1pm it was really quiet. Plenty of parking.

Positive experience: Looks ok. Went to join as swimming has been recommended by my consultant to aid recovery from my ankle op. Membership cost is more economical than paying for individual sessions. Great pool - changing area/showers are a little tired and dated but ok.

Negative experience: In short.. Spoken to receptionists about the rules in Penwortham Leisure Centre very rude, obnoxious and ignored what I was trying to explain her. Receptionist was trying to persuade me that she is right not what website says. She called Manager but he came out very pleased and well informed person. Manager ten stars, receptionist minus one. It's a shame because the pool is ok in Penwortham area especially for little ones but receptionist are awful.

Fantastic experience: Having just moved to the area. I called into penwortham leisure centre to see about joining the centre to swim. There was a lovely young man on reception i asked if it would be possible to have a look around as its a bit scary knowing how it all works when you have never been before. He then called for another member of staff another lovely young man who showed me lockers and changing rooms and showers etc. He asked if i needed to know anything else . I said thank you i feel much better now. It was a total pleasure and the staff were amazing cant thank them enough. It felt a lovely friendly place and i have now joined and looking forward to my first swim.

Fantastic experience: Linda not Andy. I regularly swim at Priory. It's a lovely experience. The receptionists are the best. The lifeguards are the best. My fellow swimmers are friendly, and several have become good friends away from the pool. I definitely recommend you to come and use/support your local pool.

Positive experience: I haven't been for a few years, and I have now started to swim again, pool is more than adequate and temp good, as long as they keep up on maintaining the changing /locker toilet & shower facilities, it's an excellent exercise facility.

Negative experience: When you call or visit to go swimming, the receptionist staff will just immediately say they are full. Even when they are not, they are at half capacity and will just lie for some reason to turn you away. It's like it's too much effort for them to book you in, like they are doing you a favour. Spoken to three different receptionists, all rude and obnoxious. It's a shame because the pool is great for the little ones and it's in a good spot.

Positive experience: Good swimming pool but disappointing that their is no general swimming on a Saturday and limited on a Sunday, when I have paid a yearly membership. If you are working weekends is the only time you get off.

Positive experience: Wanted to book online and been trying for two days. Managed to get in my basket but could not proceed. I finally got through on the phone to a lady called Roxanne who said she could book it. However because it was in my basket it wouldn’t let her but also would not let me remove it. I was made to feel that it was my fault that we couldn’t book it when it was your systems that were not working. (Used it many times before) I had to ask Roxanne how can we get this resolved as I want to book. She said we would have to set someone else up in the household to book. Which we did. I also said maybe you could flag the problem with your website to whoever looks after it. This comment was completely ignored and she just repeat that’s booked now.

Negative experience: What a joke couldn't log in online so rang up to book swimming the ladie on the phone was just rude won't ever be going back again wouldn't even give it 1 star

Negative experience: Website is terrible, the swimming timetable is wrong, can't book swimming for more than one person and keep getting error messages when trying to book individually. No one will answer the phone so you are stuck

Negative experience: We arrived at 7:45pm and they was closed it says on the website 9pm how they can close 1hour n 15 mins before it says on the website is a bit weird

Negative experience: On the website says no booking required. Turned up and it's fully booked and they only accept cash no card.

Fantastic experience: All of the life gards just said to my child please don't run u might slip but other people are saying wrong

Negative experience: Didn't enjoy a life guard shouting at my child until he cried when a group of boys were playing. She singled him out. Another life guard also blatantly lied and said my son said he was younger than he is. He's small for his age but knows how old he is. Poor

Negative experience: Been trying to get through to them for the past week on the telephone number provided but no-one has bothered to answer the phone. I've called in excess of 10 times. I mean, if you don't want my money and custom then that's cool.

Fantastic experience: Kids loved it but water was a bit cold , an coffee was nise...

Negative experience: Came for a fun swim with four lads aged 8-10. Love that there are floats available. Don't love the pirate atmosphere with some older children taking away floats from others to stack up on top of each other. Life guards hesitant to intervene. Great gallery to sit and watch the fun from however I did not enjoy viewing the defence my little lot had to mount to keep hold of 'shared' equipment. In the end things calmed down but the odd whistle wouldn't hurt from those in charge, I'd like to see a more firm but fair approach.

Positive experience: I have only really used the pool here which is quite difficult to locate as the entrance is in the center of the U shaped building.
